The next day was a rare treat for the kids as Taylor drove them to
school while Betty slept in. Riley was driven in by Alexis' mother as
she trusted them to be chaste during school hours. Taylor explained to
her that they knew their limits and wouldn't push them in school, it was
more of a Ginny thing anyway which only caused Alexis' mother to smile
and nod in agreement as Rose did get frisky at home.
Outside Vinny and Davis' school, she got a shock as they were met by the
family from the day before. Neither realized that the kids went to the
same school nor did they realize that they lived next door to one
another. Taylor smiled at the timid Megan Simpson, with her twin brother
Milton watching closely in case Taylor had a bad reaction to seeing them
again.
Vinny hugged Megan, telling her warmly, "You look pretty even if you
can't be a girl like you should," which caused her to cry. Milton eased
up, he wasn't trying to harm Megan and Davis hugging her as well caused
him to see they weren't a threat. Taylor hugged Megan as well, telling
her that she was going to be alright and she'd help her out if there was
trouble.
When the kids went inside, Taylor asked if they had gotten her diagnosis
confirmed then told them the name of her own doctor, Dr. Acula, who
would help Megan live on while her former male persona of Michael was
put to rest for good. Their school would accept her change or they'd
have to explain to the school board why they were breaking the law in
denying her the right to attend as her true self then had to explain to
the students why they allowed discrimination. It was a shock to them,
but Taylor was on a roll and wanted Megan to enjoy her life without any
further delays.
Mr. and Mrs. Simpson asked why she was so helpful, to which Taylor
smiled and explained, "She needs all of the help she can get and I know
my sons will be friendly to her. Vinny is his mother's son and will
defend her from everyone who wants to hurt her while Davis is not afraid
to question your motives and actions and tell you off for being wrong.
They have seen what happens to us and want to protect her."
The three went home and saw Taylor invited over to the Jackson home for
a long talk. She told them all about herself, knowing that they needed
to hear things from someone who knew what Megan was going through and
how it'd help her Megan. She didn't hold back, telling about the nasty
actions taken against her home after she came out and how many people
ended up in jail or prison over it.
She turned things around and asked about their own personal lives as she
didn't recall them ever talking with them before the wedding. Casey
Simpson sighed and explained, "My parents bought us this house as a way
of getting away from our families. They are disgusted by Megan and
refuse to accept that she is female and needs to be a girl. We work as
business consultants on the side on top of our share of the family
business so earn a pretty penny but have been all alone since Megan
started to demand to be her true self. Our friends abandoned us and his
siblings are afraid of his parents to offer support until his parents
pass away. Thankfully, they have said he will inherit his fair share
from his parents despite their parents' attempts to disinherit him. My
own family has hated my in-laws since we met so don't want to be part of
the kids' lives so it's just us until his parents die."
It explained a lot about them. Taylor smiled and asked about their going
out. Casey sighed and told her, "It's impossible to get a sitter for the
kids due to Megan. We have tried but there is always some reason or
another that they cancel at the last minute. The few times we have
gotten a sitter it was due to them being paid triple their normal rates
and we were desperate."
Taylor smiled at hearing that, then countered, "My daughter Riley will
do it for you. She has experience with kids as she was our nanny before
we adopted her. She could use a new job anyway now that she doesn't need
to work thanks to her allowance and savings."
Casey was reluctant to allow it, but Taylor countered with a grin and
happy, "She is experienced with girls like Megan. She should be, she is
one herself. It's why I adopted her, she needed our love."
The couple looked at her shocked, Taylor sighed and explained, "She was
mistreated by her family for years, treated like she was worthless and
didn't deserve their affection because she wasn't athletic or gifted
academically like her younger siblings. When she couldn't live as a boy
any longer, she tried to castrate herself until she couldn't take the
pain from the knife then bought hormones online to start to grow
breasts. When she could no longer hide her changes, she had to flee for
her life. She lived with a friend of ours who directed her to us when we
talked to her about our need for a nanny. Our daughter Bella fell in
love with her immediately and the boys took to her after Vinny's crush
eased. Eventually, the longer she was around us the more she felt like
our daughter than our employee. After meeting her parents to give them
restraining orders, we couldn't let her go without our love as her
parents."
The couple gasped in shock at hearing what Riley tried to do, with
Taylor telling them sadly, "It's what a friend of mine tried to do when
she was Megan's age. She actually succeeded and ended up sent to a
hospital. She recovered from it and received some counseling that got
her to see that it wasn't the right time to transition but she was still
feeling like a female and transitioned in high school. She had issues
that went beyond her gender as they discovered other serious internal
medical issues that were present making her unable to get the final
surgery. She has tried numerous times to commit suicide requiring
constant care but she'd die if she underwent the surgery."
She had a tear in her eye saying that, it was a painful memory as the
young woman was in her classes in college and had a breakdown between
sophomore and junior year of college that led to her being sent to the
hospital uncovering her hidden health issues. She had done such a great
job in class but kept to herself, when Taylor heard the news she broke
down. It was the first time she had known someone who was like that and
seeing how much love and support she had from family it hit her hard.
It was tough to hear about two people who had things so horrible. The
family supported Megan but it was tough to get told by their parents
that they would never be allowed to see their family again. They had
each other, but it still stung that Megan had to feel rejection from
people she loved deeply.
Bella entered with Betty and greeted the Simpsons with her, "I'm a cute
little girl" act that she had gone to great lengths to perfect. Betty
just said hello then put away the groceries, joining them afterward.
When she finally sat down, she asked, "Did the boys realize who the
twins were yet?"
Taylor blushed while telling her, "Vinny told her she looked pretty
while Davis hugged her. Vinny will be close to her out of respect to
Riley and me, that is if his crush on her doesn't make him do it first."
It was tough to not smile at that as the Simpsons gave her a gasp, while
Betty added, "It's just puppy love. She is the first girl he gets close
to because they are in the same class. I don't know if you are going to
let them get closer than school but the kids could use friends who live
close to them."
The Simpsons smiled at the thought, telling them, "We live next door so
it would be tough to not let the kids play together." Taylor smiled at
hearing that, his friends were close to one another but lived several
miles away in another development. The Simpsons and Turners lived in a
wealthy subdivision that was on a private lake which was too pricey for
most people in their wealthy suburb and made their friends reluctant to
come over out of fear that they'd cause problems or get in trouble with
the neighbors.
Bella kept quiet throughout the talk, she knew that it was important and
listened as the adults talked about the boys and Megan, whose name
finally got her to ask who she was. Taylor carefully explained, "She's
like your sister, only she doesn't have boobs yet. She was at the
wedding Saturday, you have met her before but as a boy. She's going to
be a girl full time soon."
Bella was satisfied and walked off to go play alone. The adults were
relieved that she didn't ask any more questions as it was tough to tell
her without making her scared or them uncomfortable. She was fine with
Megan and likely would make her enjoy being a girl as she did things
with Megan that the boys weren't too happy to do anymore.
Taylor facilitated Casey calling Dr. Acula for an appointment while
Betty entertained Bella and the Simpsons' younger daughter Miley.
Reginald Simpson had to do some work so left them to go home, with him
telling his elder brother Joe that Megan was going to transition and had
found help in school from people who had experience with girls like her.
He didn't tell him more than that, Joe knew already who lived next door
to his brother and just what Taylor's past was.
Taylor facilitated the call and got Casey talking with Dr. Acula for a
half hour, telling him a lot of needed background about Megan in order
to get a better idea about what she needed. He was happy to help her and
asked to speak to her that afternoon, with Taylor being asked to go
along as she was going to be the one to show Megan that it was alright.
He wanted to make sure Taylor wasn't going too far too soon with Megan,
it was the second girl that Taylor had helped so he wanted to see her
interaction with Megan himself to see if it was friendship,
understanding, or a need to mother Megan.
Taylor and Casey went to get the kids, with Milton and Vinny acting like
friends while Megan was a bit down. Seeing Taylor perked her up, then
being told that she was going to see a special doctor got her almost
cheering. Vinny heard the name and whispered to her, "Momma sees him. He
will help you be a girl all of the time. He will make the school let you
be a girl."
The group went home, with Davis telling Vinny's other friends that they
lived next door to one another so they were getting close because of
that. The others let it go, they played on weekends and they had no
reason to dislike Milton or Megan. The twins weren't really friends with
them but they tolerated them for the sake of Vinny, with Megan's male
self simply not registering as female to them yet.
At home, the kids changed clothes and saw the four off. Betty watched
the kids while the Simpsons and Taylor went to the appointment, with the
boys playing in Vinny's room after doing their homework. The boys were
quiet and played on the game system while Bella helped with Miley,
seeing just what she was like as a baby as the little girl kicked and
giggled as she fought her diaper change.
At the appointment, Megan was practically worshiping Taylor as they
walked through the reception area while Taylor told her what to expect
in her talk with Vlad. When the two were introduced, she was quiet and
scared but answered all of his questions without prompting. Her parents
listened quietly to her answers, letting Vlad get the needed information
while remaining stoic.
They were shocked at some of the thoughts that went through Megan's head
that she had never told them before, gasping at hearing how close their
daughter had come to wanting to commit suicide over her being a boy but
nobody accepting her being a girl inside. She wanted to please them but
she just couldn't be the man they wanted her to be, it was just not what
she was and she hated that she would look like her father in the future
unless she was allowed to be a girl. She fought tears as she said all of
that, but her resolve was clear to them and Megan was not just some
phase that she was going through.
She was asked about Taylor and her closeness so soon after meeting her.
Megan blushed at realizing how she was acting but told them that she was
what she hoped to be like as a woman. Taylor was her idol for all of the
right reasons, even before she met her in person.
Talking with her parents, Vlad explained to the Simpsons, "Your son
isn't your son and has taken a strong stance on her gender. This isn't
some whim, she is well aware of the dangers in transitioning to female
but still refuses to back down from her feelings. I recommend that she
attend school as a girl and start to transition. She's too young for
hormones but it's almost time to start blockers. I think it may be best
to get her to store semen though so hold off on that until after she has
an emission."
The look on their faces was priceless as they realized that Megan would
be close to doing that soon. The two walked out and hugged Megan,
telling her that she was going to go to school as a girl as soon as
possible. It was the best news she could receive, with her hugging
Taylor then her parents.
Taylor went to speak with Vlad and told them her role in Megan's
transition. She was adamant that she had no actual role in it, she
hadn't met her before that Saturday and didn't even know that the family
lived next door to them let alone their kids were in the same class. It
was pure luck, Betty didn't realize the family lived next door and she
knew them for years."
Megan was given an appointment with a new intern to Vlad's practice, a
young doctor who was a true specialist in pediatric gender identity
issues. Vlad deferred to his colleague as he may have had more
experience overall but he couldn't keep up with the changing trends and
needs of the young clients like his colleague could. She was a smart you
woman who had studied alongside many others including a young woman
named Jaimie Finn, whom Taylor knew all about through Jaimie's family.
With paperwork in hand, Betty happily told the Simpsons to call the
school right then and produce the paperwork the next day. There was no
legal reason to deny Megan the right to start school as a girl
especially as she was under proper treatment and had legal support from
people who were not afraid to take the school to task for violating
someone's rights. Megan had to fight tears as her father told her
principal that she would be attending as a girl and just who she had
helping her, with Taylor and Betty being two people whom the school was
not dumb enough to cross especially with their clout.
Taylor went to Monday Night Wars that night with her head held high and
the kids eagerly in tow. All four went, with Megan shadowing Taylor and
seeing just how involved she was with the program. It was an eye-opener
for her, she couldn't believe how intense it could be at times as they
prepared for the different segments and matches while getting cameras
and props into place.
The wrestlers recognized Megan and Milton and greeted them when they
learned just what they were to the Turners. The security people seemed
to recognize the twins but couldn't place them, with Megan's change
finally clicking and Taylor nodding to them to let it go and not make
light of it in case one of the people backstage overheard them. They
were simply four kids who were VIPs for the night, they had the run of
the backstage area but stayed out of the locker rooms and even though
Davis and Vinny had to endure hugs and kisses they were close to the
twins all night.
Back at home, the kids went to bed late but were actually asleep for the
hour drive home. Taylor was all smiles as she told the Simpsons how well
the twins acted and how they were treated by everyone. The biggest
surprise was how close Vinny and Megan were, with the two sharing a
special bond that wasn't apparent but was shining brightly throughout
the night.
In bed, Taylor told Betty, "Our little boy has made a true friend and is
taking to Megan like a true friend. He likes her a lot, it's not love
but she's going to be as close as I was to Hank. She will need his help,
as much as she loves Milton he is still her brother and doesn't
understand her the way Vinny does."
Betty just nodded and saw it as deep friendship and understanding. He
may not be transgender, but he knew the feeling thanks to Taylor's
transition. He'd never admit it but he deeply empathized with her.
The kids were tired the next morning but had Vinny's friends swarming
around him asking about their night. Vinny told them everything and got
them to look at Milton for guidance for what to say without telling them
about Megan. Milton told them that it was all true and they even got to
hang out with the wrestlers' kids, albeit as more like babysitters than
as friends to them.
Megan appeared with her parents, followed by Taylor and Betty. The group
went to the main office and showed the declaration from Vlad followed by
the school's legal requirements for acceptance. The two were thorough,
they had everything spelled out leaving the school powerless to do
anything.
Megan's teacher was called to the office and notified about her change
of gender, forcing her to accept it and make the required notice to the
class as well as prepare herself for the inevitable backlash. She was
being forced to accept the change or she'd be out of her job, it was a
serious situation and they had to accept it or both would be fired in an
effort to save the school board's own jobs. Taylor wouldn't play things
easy, it was clear as crystal and unbendable.
Megan was dressed in a pretty blue dress with her hair styled in a
ponytail with a blue bow. It was a bold statement, she wasn't going to
appear male anymore and she looked like a whole new kid. Her teacher
sighed and told Megan she'd try to keep the kids in line but it would be
tough.
The kids were already in class when their teacher entered, followed by
the principal. She announced to the class that from now on Michael would
be attending as Megan. Megan came inside to gasps and a few laughs from
the kids but was hugged by Vinny who then dared anyone to speak.
Vinny being the son of a pro wrestler meant you didn't mess with him,
especially as he learned a few moves from the male wrestlers that were
also legitimate ways to defend yourself. He had used it before against
some boys who tried to hurt him because he had a transgender mom then
later because he had two moms. He was tough and had Taylor's athletic
abilities and Betty's determination making the boy a formidable foe to
anyone who wanted to harm him.
Things were quiet after that, Vinny's protection was enough to stop kids
from doing anything and his teacher kept them in line by focusing on
schoolwork. Megan hugged and kissed him for defending her, with Vinny
telling her that she was his friend and he cared a lot about her. She
liked him a lot but she just didn't like him that way, it took her a
while to realize it but she only saw him as a brother and if she liked
boys then she wanted to date one like Vinny but not Vinny himself.
After school, Megan told the kids who asked what was going on if she was
really going to become a girl. She didn't hold back and told the truth,
telling about the restrictions that she had to put up with to avoid
trouble while getting blushes from girls as they didn't think about
seeing her penis when they were in the bathroom due to the stalls. Megan
also explained that Vinny lived next door so he would be with them a lot
now that they had become friends, with Vinny and Davis hugging her as
they went home to show that they were close to her now and she was under
their protection.
At home, the kids helped Megan pack away her boy clothes. Her brother
didn't want them while Davis was too small for them, making Vinny get
them by default. She blushed at them seeing her panties, but none of
them dared say anything and Vinny discretely hugged and kissed her to
ease her tension.
The two talked while Davis and Milton went off to play video games, with
Vinny treating her like she was normal and giving her a chance to
decompress and vent in a way she couldn't with Milton. Milton knew what
she was doing and told Davis that Megan really liked Vinny but they
weren't dating, Davis told him, "Momma and Uncle Hank were the same way,
she's his oldest friend. Momma said that you can be friends with a girl,
especially a girl who can understand you as they do."
Milton was jealous but Davis told him that he was Vinny's friend too.
Megan was an emotional friend to him while he was a fun friend. She
loved her brother but he was different to her than Vinny was.
Taylor and Betty were able to talk freely with the Simpsons and learned
a lot about the couple that they had enjoyed. The Simpsons were from
wealth but they didn't flaunt it and wanted their kids to become their
own people. Their siblings were of like minds but were engrossed in
their family businesses that they couldn't go against their parents
without it harming them directly.
When Megan started to act on her feminine feelings their parents were
outraged and demanded that she be put in her place or sent to a mental
institution so their development business didn't suffer. Hearing their
parents be so vile towards a child caused the two families' children to
band together in support of Megan while ensuring that the business
wasn't harmed by ignorant people who discovered Megan's big secret.
Their compromise was for Reginald and Casey to have a diminished role in
the company while they worked from home in a separate subsidiary company
that was set-up for them.
It wasn't ideal but it allowed the Simpsons to be on their own and allow
their parents to keep face. It was tough to be all alone but they were
in constant contact with their siblings and when the families merged
into one company under Reginald's father's control it was easier on them
as he was no longer needed. They were able to work from home and Megan
could be her own person, they just would not have contact with her
grandparents, aunts, and uncles until all four grandparents passed away
or retired for good in a few years.
Riley returned home and met the Simpsons officially, with the couple
seeing just how much she had matured on her own and tried hard not to
take the image personally as they thought about Megan. Betty had to
explain to her why they were reacting that way, getting Riley to nod and
go off to finish her homework while kissing Alexis goodbye. That little
act caused the Simpsons to look for guidance, to which Betty explained,
"She's into women. It was pure luck that our niece's friend is open-
minded and fell for her immediately. She's a lesbian, as is Riley. Megan
may be a lesbian too, a lot of trangender people are gay so fall for the
same sex. Taylor is a prime example of that."
The thought that maybe Megan might marry a girl caused them relief,
their parents were mostly upset at the idea that Megan might not pass on
their genes so falling for a woman made the fears moot. It was also made
worse as they had other grandchildren so she wasn't their only hope for
the next generation. She was her own person, but they hoped she found
someone who accepted her like Alexis.
The rest of the week went easy for them as the school stood by Megan and
the few kids and parents who objected to her being able to attend school
quietly shifted to other classes or had their parents asked to make
other arrangements for picking up their children as they would stand
behind her as a student. It was a tough stance to take, but the school
chose wisely and the parents were left looking bad.
Megan was happier in class and was more active as a student, giving her
teacher the image of a kid who was depressed and unhappy but who was now
unhindered by her issues. Vinny was close to her, with the two getting
teased about being boyfriend/girlfriend but both making it known that
they weren't interested in one another that way. It was sweet to their
teacher, he was going out of his way to help her and show that he was
her friend while also receiving help from the bright and studious Megan.
Taylor did the publicity circuit for her championship during the week
and made sporadic appearances at Monday Night Wars as Bailey Banks
worked their feud well, giving Taylor pot shots and insults as she made
it clear that she was upset at Taylor getting special treatment over not
defending the title anytime, any place. It was a classic tactic that won
over fans and made their feud all the more realistic, but in reality, it
was their way of building tension while keeping Taylor fresh for when
she did drop the title as well as giving Taylor a chance to wind her in-
ring involvement down.
Taylor talked with Megan whenever she was over and had her talk with
Riley when the teen was home. Megan and she talked for hours, with the
two crying or hugging as they found someone to vent to that wasn't able
to be done with their parents or siblings. Riley was a great help, with
Casey and Reginald noticing a change for the better in their daughter
after each of their long talks.
Riley and Megan shared the same counselor, one who encouraged the duo to
talk to one another and to be there for each other when they suffered
setbacks. Riley was still fresh into her transition so had her own bouts
of depression and anxiety that made her fall into despair at times that
Alexis couldn't snap her out of but Megan could. Megan saw her brother
starting to grow larger and feared that she may be close to her own
puberty causing her to fear that her transition wasn't going to happen,
requiring Riley to tell her that it was a good thing as it meant she
could make semen samples and take blockers.
Riley was a good babysitter and had a positive influence on Milton. He
had a crush on her, following her every word and blushing each time he
got caught looking at her breasts and butt. Megan knew not to make light
of his glances but did tell Riley that he was starting to see girls
differently now.
Riley made decent money from the Simpsons and was able to buy a car with
her parents' help. She was able to earn her license and take the kids
out, with Megan happily going to the park and mall. Megan was like her
younger cousin, not quite her sister but close enough to be family to
her in her eyes.
The Simpsons saw just how much Betty had to rule the roost with Taylor
on the road two nights a week, but with her being a part-timer now it
wasn't as hectic as it was before Riley was hired. Taylor was in
constant contact and ensured that the kids were on their best behavior
during the trips, with the kids ensuring she didn't work too hard or
forget that she was supposed to lessen her slack behind the scenes.
Megan always made her smile, with her accidentally calling her, "Aunt
Taylor" but giving her a happy moment as it came from the heart.
Taylor had to deal with several issues that occurred in the aftermath of
Wrestlecade. The first was two of the men getting arrested for drug
possession and getting implicated in a steroid ring that was going to
hurt the company unless they were let go. The second and more damaging
was the GCW getting sued by Cody Punk for unlawful termination and for
allowing the massive Brute Strawman to assault him in their, "Shoot
match" that resulted in Punk's firing.
Punk was trying to get money that he didn't deserve as he had agreed to
the match despite knowing full well that Strawman had spent some time in
the military before he took up bodybuilding and competed on the
strongman circuit. Strawman could defend himself and knew how to counter
the holds Punk was trying to use on him, Punk had no idea that Strawman
was versed in self-defense nor that he could be so agile and able to
make Punk's own body work against him. There was a reason why nobody
ever had a fight with Strawman, all knew he could kill you if you tried
to legitimately hurt him.
Punk tried to make a buck off of the GCW but it backfired on him as
their lawyers showed that he was in violation of his contract for his
actions against Taylor and the match had been explained to him as he had
signed the stipulation agreement weeks before the match. Things went
further south for him when he was shown to have violated his contract
for seeking offers from Impact of Honor and Full Japan Pro Wrestling six
months before his contract ran out and in violation of it. He actually
owed money to them for his violations and would have been allowed to go
on his way without penalty but his lawsuit had put into motion an
automatic penalty clause making him on the hook for $5 million in
penalties.
Taylor had to juggle things and had Brute go ahead with his much-coveted
title run as he was pushed up the ladder ahead of the two suspended
wrestlers while Impossible happily worked him up to be a legitimate
contender for his title. Taylor loved the big man, so much so that she
pushed for him to be in the title match at Bash of the Summer with
Impossible dropping the title to him. Brute got himself a big pay
increase as well, locking him into the GCW for six years and ensuring he
retired with them.
The legal issues were a drag on Taylor, who spent her time at home with
the kids and enjoying being at their beck and call five days a week. She
was usually on her phone working with producers and various doctors and
had several fights with them over the personnel coming back too soon or
hiding injuries so had to keep herself holed-up in her office when not
picking up the kids from school. Casey was in awe that the sweet Taylor
could make men two to three times her size cower in fear but it was just
as she had always been and her reputation among the wrestlers of the
world was of protecting their futures.
The Simpsons were over most days when they weren't working, with Bella
happily calling them, "Aunt" and, "Uncle" while Miley loved to crawl to
Taylor and plop down in her lap to watch her as she typed her ideas or
watched matches. It was sweet, she didn't know any of her relatives so
she was doing to Taylor what her brother and sister had done for their
aunts and uncles when they were a less than a year old. She just assumed
that the Turners were family so acted like they were family.
As the month wore on, Taylor got the news that Tanya was indeed pregnant
and would be only in action for another two months before she ended her
in-ring participation. She was then going to be her wife's manager until
August then would take maternity leave. It was happy news to all, with
the couple crying as they told Taylor.
She worked on who to replace the departing wrestlers and grinned at the
list of NEW guys ready to be used. The top of the list had two names
that she knew were worth the effort of moving the various guys around
from tag-team to singles competitors. The Paine brothers, Maxim and
Fuller, were going to get promoted to GCW to replace the suspended guys
and would be her happiest promotion thus far and give her great pleasure
as it would make Harry Waite's head explode at hearing the news.
Another slot was filled by Slick Jace. His wife Mickayla was retired
from in-ring action but still under contract to them so hiring him to
replace Cody Punk was a smart move as it solved two problems in a single
motion. Mickayla would happily join him as his valet, she had done it
before but it meant more to her to do it for him now that they were
together all of the time.
As for who to replace Tanya? Taylor looked over the list and saw an
Australian wrestler who was known to her from her time in the NEW and
earlier at Killer Gagne's wrestling academy by the name of Rhea Storm.
She was a loner who had moved from company to company around the world
before she trained with Taylor but who had finally landed a coveted NEW
slot through Taylor's intervention and who idolized Taylor and who
accepted her as a woman despite holding past bigotry against TG people.
The four were told about the decision and saw the Paine brothers hug one
another then their wives, with their younger sisters being told that
they had to pull their weight around the house now that that Maxim was
going to be away every weekend. Constance Paine all but forced the girls
to act as mature women and be themselves and not the angry idiots their
father had forced them to be. The girls were forced to go to therapy and
through talking with the psychologist they turned the corner in life and
acted better with the girls showing few signs of their previous behavior
towards Ginny.
They had met with Taylor and Riley a month after Riley enrolled in
school and proved that they were going to leave her alone the next year
while not even trying to beg for forgiveness from Ginny Black as they
didn't believe they deserved it. Ginny accepted their change and allowed
them to enroll the next year but with the stipulation that the girls
would be permanently expelled if they returned to their old ways. Riley
could see the remorse in them and got Ginny to come around and try to
befriend them, letting the girls see the real Ginny and giving the girls
real friends instead of fame seeker friends.
It took two months, but the girls were friends and helped one another
with homework. The girls were so close that Riley let them sit for the
Simpsons so they could have their own money, with Riley telling them to
not react to Megan's secret. The girls saw Megan's fear and Riley's
concern and weren't able to get the strength to question her about it,
she was just too sweet and lovable to not treat like a real girl.
Taylor and the Paines were able to work closely and often ended up
talking about their sisters and Riley getting so close. The irony of the
situation wasn't lost on them as their father would have blown his mind
if he knew how close his daughters were to someone whom he despised and
who he wanted to hurt just on principle. Riley was a great kid in their
eyes, the more she was around the girls the less the influence their
father had on them remained and the quicker the became their own people.
Taylor worked with the new recruits and got their input on their
characters. The Paines thought they'd be great heels while Slick was
known on the independent circuit for his sweet and caring personality.
It was just what she needed as she could turn one wrestler babyface to
even the loss of two heels and a babyface from the suspensions and Cody
Punk being fired.
Slick was in tears when he was told, with Mickayla offering him a deep
kiss as she accepted the offer on his behalf. Slick pulled himself
together and asked what they were going to do with his character, to
which Taylor grinned and asked, "Do you think I want to risk thousands
of your fans calling for my head by turning you heel? You are going to
be one of the top babyfaces for us from now on, it's what you are best
and the fans have it right- you are too nice of a guy to be a heel or
even a tweener like Brute."
The return of Mack and Julia ushered in a big change for the family as
Julia announced that they were all right in expecting her to become
pregnant and that she was already expecting when she was married. It was
wild news in the locker room and saw Mack in a constant blush as the
ladies teased him about changing diapers while the guys teased him about
late night feedings and morning sickness. The two sisters were in tears
as they hugged one another, little Samuel was drinking in all of the
attention that he was now getting from everyone and smiled as he was
told that he was going to be a big brother.
Julia returned to the ring and worked the next three months with Taylor
almost always by her side. She was doing less in the ring than before
and had the cover story of acting as Taylor's bodyguard to keep Absolute
Riot from attacking her. It was helped further that they were heavily
into Taylor's feud and Tanya was unable to do much due to, "Injury" and,
"Recovery" while Anya was in the hunt for her own title making Julia's
help apt and playing into Taylor's downfall/Bailey Banks' rise.
In the ring, Taylor was still as physical as always. When the school
year was over for the kids, she got permission from the Simpsons for the
twins to join her on the road for several weekends as she needed to
retain her title in smaller feuds as well as give herself some face time
with fans at smaller arenas and house shows now that she didn't have an
excuse not to do so. Megan was in awe of the whole spectacle while
Milton felt twinges of jealousy over the men, causing Vinny to tell him
that most weren't as big as they seemed and either, "Stuff their trunks"
or had issues due to steroid abuses.
The kids were like their parents and got involved in a couple of
backstage segments for Monday Night Wars, leading to their friends in
Orlando calling them about it the next day while Megan blushed at being
seen on TV by millions of people. The Simpsons had to explain to their
relatives what was going on with Megan when they heard about the TV
bits, getting their relatives to see that this was really how she was
and what they saw on TV was Megan being herself and her making the
wrestlers look bad was her being herself and doing what she did to
anyone whom she trusted and cared about.
The kids were so good with the wrestlers that they gave the other
producers the idea of using local kids in each city for the segments,
getting random fans from the crowd to do a quick audition before the
show so they found ones with the right chemistry. Megan and Milton were
the template for it as they were new to pro wrestling as a whole and
were able to ask funny questions that left them stumped while making the
babyfaces look like nice people as they adjusted on the fly and making
the heels be the funny, arrogant jerks that they were trying to portray
to fans. Megan and Milton knew who were really nice people and who were
real jerks but played their parts well, giving the segments the best
reviews online while also giving the kids small stipends that their
parents saved for them.
Taylor wasn't thinking about the consequences of the kids being on TV
but hearing the Simpsons tell her that their siblings were willing to
meet Megan thanks to seeing her on TV made her feel better at her lapse
in judgment. It was better than they could have hoped, Taylor had opened
up their eyes to the girl who was there and not the boy who was
masquerading as a girl as they had believed. Taylor would facilitate
their meeting, having the kids all together so Megan had help as well as
ensuring Mack was there for support both emotionally and physically.
Mack was embracing fatherhood and was happy to be Samuel's first words
when he finally decided to speak, catching everyone off guard as he
said, "Dada" without prompting. Seeing Megan and the boys was only
helping him get into fatherhood, with Megan doing her best to make him
melt under her cute looks and pleading expressions. He was a sucker for
a cute face, with Julia smiling at his reactions.
Mack knew he was getting manipulated but it was for the best in his
eyes, Megan was a lovely girl and he couldn't help but love her for
being the little girl that she needed to be. It pained him to know that
her family had all but cast out her parents but the trickle of hope that
her being on TV had given them was enough for all of them to try to make
amends. He was happy to help, she was what he wanted in a little niece
and he would protect her in any way possible even if it's against her
own family.
The meeting was scheduled for a weekend where all of them would be home,
with the kids having to tell their friends that they weren't going to be
able to go out. Seeing the big Mack at the Turner home was tough to see
but the kids accepted that Milton and Vinny weren't going out that
weekend and it was for a very important reason. The kids were used to
Vinny having people over who were powerful and who were wrestlers, but
seeing the tattooed Mack sitting there gave them a good reason to leave
them alone until Vinny and Milton called them to tell them what
happened.
The last weekend in June, the Simpsons greeted their siblings at the
Turner mansion and saw them get a big eyeful as Mack and Julia were
introduced to them. Taylor was the last one to be introduced, with her
telling them that the kids were in the pool and would be coming through
in a bit so please don't do anything as it would only lead to the boys
trying to defend Megan. Mack added, "The boys won't fool around, they
are protective of Megan and not afraid to hurt anyone who tries to hurt
her."
Reginald showed the doctor's report about Megan's being transgender,
then the progress reports and grades from Megan before and after she was
allowed to attend school as a girl. It was pretty clear that the girl
was improving and she was thriving as a girl, with her teacher
mentioning that the only issues with her are that she had to be reminded
at times to do her homework and use the disabled bathrooms. Megan was
known for her lack of homework so it was normal, but she was so
engrossed with being a girl that she forgot several times that she
couldn't use the girls' bathroom and went inside and had it not been for
girls who didn't know her there would have been a huge issue.
That opened up questions about her outside of school and with the boys,
with them expecting her to be all over boys and trying hard to kiss them
or do more. She was ignored by most of the boys and the few who she
interacted with being friends with her brother and Vinny making contact
with them hard to avoid. She had no interest in sex let alone kissing,
so she was really only interested in playing at home.
Their questions were answered in full and took time, which only led to
the kids walking by as they went upstairs to shower and change. Her
aunts and uncles got a good look at Megan the girl and caused them to
gasp in shock as her hair was so long and held back in a ponytail and
she was wearing a tankini that contrasted with her brother's short hair
and longer swim trunks. He also looked a little more like he had
muscles, with Vinny sporting some as well compared with Megan's skinnier
arms.
The biggest shock were the two small bumps under her top, which were
hard to miss. She had the telltale bump in her panties but her chest had
clear bumps that were the start of breasts. It was tough to not react to
seeing them on her, especially as the twins were supposed to be
identical yet outside of their faces they were vastly different in their
bodies now.
Reginald let the image sink in before telling them, "She has been on
blockers since late April. She had her first nocturnal emission meaning
we had to start her on blockers and a low dose of hormones which took
hold of her fast. You know already that we were all early bloomers and
as you saw from Milton as well it's already happening in him so it was
the right time to start her regimen. She had her semen saved by Taylor's
request, so she could one day become a mother biologically by donor egg
or via a wife or girlfriend. It's only a matter of time before she needs
a bigger bra, given our genetics she will be just about average size for
women despite smaller than normal for both sides of the family. There's
no going back now, she won't let it and if we tried to force it she has
told us she would castrate herself to keep from becoming a man. She's
too far gone to ever be a male even if forced- she's our daughter in
full."
The image of her was burned into their minds, their nephew Michael was
no longer around and despite what they believed before Megan looked like
their niece and she is not going to stop her transition. It was tough to
deny her looks, she looked like her paternal aunt and even if she was an
identical twin she was showing that she was more female than anyone
could have thought. Megan Simpson was not their nephew, she was their
niece and was there to stay.
The Simpsons were speechless as Megan had been nothing like they could
have imagined. When she came back down with the boys she was wearing a
light dress and had a definite bra complete with two bumps that were
hard to ignore even if they were mostly padding. Milton was growing
taller than her already, but Megan wasn't far behind and if you didn't
know her true past you would have mistaken her for his fraternal twin
instead of being his identical twin.
The kids tried to stay within earshot but were told loudly, "Games room,
now," by Taylor. The kids went downstairs to the room and saw their
anxiety getting the better of them. Vinny hugged Megan to keep her from
getting too anxious but knew it was futile and only their parents' news
could quell it.
Upstairs, Riley arrived with Bella and Miley from a trip to the park.
The girls went for their mothers and played their usual "I'm a cute
little girl" act for the Simpsons. Riley realized what was going on and
took the girls to the nursery, telling Taylor and Betty that she'd keep
the kids out of trouble for them.
Reginald told his brothers and sisters, "That young lady is like Megan
and unless you checked between her legs you'd never know the truth about
her past. Megan looks up to her and treats her like she is her big
cousin, since she doesn't have any relatives to be around who accept her
for herself. She's doing the job that your daughters should be doing,
they do it for each other but mom and dad can't see that our daughter is
never going to be the man they believe she should be. She doesn't have
to be a man, she is just one of six males and Milton is her twin making
her being male moot."
Taylor saw her opening and asked, "What's their real reason for casting
out Reginald and Casey as it was a bit too convenient that they try to
sever ties with their child over something they can't stop. There has to
be another reason for doing that, she was doing what all kids did at her
age especially during times of boredom and exploration. I know damn well
that is the case because my own sons, brother-in-law, and nephew did the
same. They'd deny it but their sisters convinced them to try it."
Casey asked what she meant, to which Taylor shot back, "I'm not a fool,
I've seen this before in people. It happened to my own grandparents.
Mom's parents were trying their hardest to appear to be model people who
were better than others but hid the truth- they were flat broke. When
they died, mom had to fight off creditors who were owed a lot of money.
Your in-laws are acting out of character for this to be the real reason
for getting rid of their son no matter how humiliating it may be to
them."
Joe Simpson, the eldest of the Simpson children, told her, "Dad had a
business deal go south because the guys who wanted to develop land we
own didn't want any attention from the state and feds. They were losing
a bundle on the property, they wanted to develop it on their own but
couldn't find anyone who was willing to build so close to an airport or
military base. It tuned out that their desire to make the deal was
because the land was going to be bought by the federal government and
was part of a huge deal for the region. Megan becoming a girl was used
by them to try to force a quick sale. You were kept out of it because
you are the only one of us who can't be intimidated by anyone and would
see the real truth about the land. They knew this and went for mom and
dad's bigotry and got you forced out."
He cracked a small smile as he added, "The sale fell through, the men
were arrested by the FBI for fraud and embezzlement before the sale was
finalized. The owners sold the land to us for a profit as they had no
use for it anymore and the speculation wasn't amounting to much yet. The
men arrested were frauds. The money they were promising dad didn't
exist, they were running a Ponzi scheme. Dad was made to look like a
fool for falling for their deal, thankfully the sale was voided or else
we would all have been out on the street as he would have lost
everything to the government. We did sell the land to the federal
government, the military paid a steep price to keep the adjacent base
from being encroached on earning us double what we would have made from
the sale if it were legitimate in the first place."
Joe sighed, then added, "You were right all along. You are the best in
the family and are keeping all of us afloat by your assessments and
reports. We overruled dad and forced him out of the everyday actions of
the business, he's just the face of the company now. You are the brains,
I'm just the one who does all of the site visits. The others handle the
daily operations of the construction but it's your company now. As of
yesterday, we voted to remove dad as the president and CEO of the
company. It's your job now."
Joe was the eldest son but Reginald was the one with the best business
sense and able to garner deals to develop land that others refused to
build on or deemed useless. He had studied science as he had eyes on
becoming a geologist but instead went on to business school to earn an
MBA then joined the family business. He parlayed his knowledge into
being able to look past the obvious and see what was below ground and
around them, seeing a land that was terrible for development while
finding literal diamonds in the rough with several developments close to
the Florida theme parks.
Joe was supposed to take over the business, but he lacked the ability to
sit through hours of meetings and listen to blatant lies. His heart was
in the operations, he was a gifted manager and was able to get
everything done with minimal interruptions thanks to his careful
planning. He was also a family man and Megan was his favorite among the
kids and it pained him to have to shun her but he couldn't go against
his parents until he had no other choice; he was ready to stand by his
brother but Reginald didn't put up a fight and accepted his banishment
from the family without any discussion.
Taylor listened intently and had to fight a grin, Joe had all but told
him that his siblings had mutinied and were standing by him and thus
Megan without telling him. They needed only to see her in person, and
judging by the looks on their faces Megan had shattered their
preconceived notions about how she would look. The only thing left to do
was formally introduce her to the family.
Betty went down to get Megan and assured her that things were going to
be alright. She entered the room and all eyes turned to her, with Casey
telling them, "This young lady is Megan. Please, have a seat so your
aunts and uncles can talk with you. They aren't going to hurt you, they
just want to speak with you and hear for themselves what you have to
say. It'll go a long way toward acceptance."
Megan sat next to Taylor and waited for them to speak. Joe couldn't hold
himself together for long and told Reginald, "She looks like Gertrude."
Their eldest sister blushed while adding, "She's got mom's eyes and
dad's hair. Both of them do. I think that's what dad's biggest problem
is- they take after her."
The twins were the only ones to take after the Simpson side of their
families, and it pained their father to not have them look like him. He
hid it from most people, but after spending time with the kids it was
easy to see how much it hurt him. Casey sighed and added, "He hasn't met
Miley, she is his spitting image. It'll anger him more than anything- a
girl instead of Milton carrying his genes!"
Gertrude took over questioning as she was the one who was best with
kids. She asked about what got her grandparents upset about her
dressing, getting a timid, "The girls were playing with me in their room
at the mansion and it was too rainy to go outside so we played dress-up.
Grandpa caught us as we were changing out of the dresses you got them to
play in and yelled at me. He did it too loudly and got the men he was
with to say something bad about me causing him to get angry at mom and
dad. They didn't know, I never did it around them. Grandpa yelled at dad
and kicked us out then he tried to fire dad."
Joe grew angrier as he heard that part of the story, it was news to him
as he had been lied to by their father. The elder Joseph Simpson had
told his other children that Megan had been playing with the girls in
their room and was trying to kiss them before he intervened, with Megan
being made out to be some sort of incestual pervert. He twisted the
situation to save face and recover his potential deal, money was more
important to him than his own grandchildren's situation.
Megan apologized to them for what she did. Gertrude hugged her then told
her that she didn't do any bad things. She smirked while her younger
brothers blushed at her memories of their own playing.
Joe groaned and announced to her, "Your aunts used to make us dress as
girls for the same reasons as you were doing. It wasn't meant to be
anything except pretend and ended when they got the newest game for the
computer. Mom and dad never knew about it, but I guess that's a good
thing."
She was asked when she started to feel like a girl, telling them
everything that she had told her gender therapist and making sure that
she didn't leave anything out just in case they tried to poke holes in
her story. She had them listening and nodding at some of the little
things that they noticed over the years but never thought about as being
anything but effeminate actions of a weaker boy. She blushed as she told
them that she would cuddle with the girls' stuffed animals and hid them
so she could play with them whenever she was alone when the other kids
had gone home or to bed.
A lot of her weird actions and reclusive behavior started to make sense
to them as she explained herself to them. The more she told, the fewer
memories they had of Michael remained as Megan's true self was there
from the start and only now did they realize that Megan was always
there. It was impossible to see her as their nephew, he never existed in
their eyes now.
Megan left to go tell the boys what was going on, hoping that the news
would ease their fears. Milton was relieved, while Vinny hugged her
tightly as she cried tears of joy. Milton shrugged at the display, but
Vinny whispered to him, "It's her hormones. Mom was like that when she
first started."
Upstairs, Taylor talked with Joe about the Simpson family to get a
better understanding of them and the history of them. She listened
closely and started to grow concerned then finally shed a tear at what
she had heard. Their story hit too close to home for her: literally.
She shed a tear and confessed to them, "I can't believe that I didn't
see it before now, the name is a bit too coincidental to not be true: my
father is related to all of you. His mother's maiden name is Jackson but
her husband's name is Simpson! Dad was adopted by grandpa after dad was
born when grandma married Grandpa and claimed dad as his own. He's your
uncle!"
Betty realized the gravity of the situation, her father's family history
was complex thanks to his mother having a one-night-stand with Vince
Turner during a break in her relationship with her boyfriend that led to
Vince impregnating her. She married her boyfriend, with him raising
Wally as his own son but disowned him when he chose to join Vince as
part of the GCW road crew instead of the family construction firm. It
was that firm that must have been turned into their development company.
Joe showed a picture of his grandmother to Taylor who then showed a
picture of her father. He looked just like her, which was how he was
able to be raised by their grandfather without anyone knowing the truth.
It explained why Joe's parents wanted the kids to look like them, it was
a dark reminder of their family's history and something they didn't want
to remember.
Wally was the literal black sheep of his siblings, he stuck out for all
of the wrong reasons in his family's eyes as he eschewed their business
in favor of doing his own thing and married for love and against his
parents' wishes for him to marry a friend's daughter. He wasn't
concerned with money nor stature, he loved what they did for a living
but he hated trying to sell things to people. He wanted to build, but
also enjoy the fruits of his labor which working for the GCW allowed him
to do.
Taylor smiled as Joe and her cousins were just like their uncle without
realizing it. Each of them was a bit of a maverick in how they wanted to
do things their own way while still doing things the right way, it was a
cornerstone of her father's work and something he made his employees
know when hired. She could see it in Reginald now, and without realizing
it she was seeing it in Megan being true to herself.
The kids were called upstairs and told the news, with Megan crying into
Taylor's shoulder as she wasn't the only transgender girl in the family
anymore. Looking over at Vinny, she smiled at the thought of him being
her cousin and never having people tease them about their closeness.
Their bond was going to be easy to explain now, they were blood and
family stuck close together and helped one another.
Megan jumped over to the then-quiet Julia and hugged her tightly,
followed by Mack. Mack had kept quiet and gone unnoticed by the Simpsons
until Megan ran for him, with Mack hugging her tightly and crying into
the big man's shoulder as she was letting out her frustrations and
anxieties in the care of the biggest and most masculine man among the
men. Nobody dared say anything, he would have broken any of the Simpson
men in half if he was upset at them.
Julia finally asked, "Are you going to tell mom and dad the news?"
Taylor shook her head, explaining to the assembled Simpsons, "Mom and
dad are up in New Jersey with grandpa going over plans for NEW's newest
tournament ideas. Dad made the mistake of making a joke about them
holding what amounted to an open audition for anyone who wanted to
become a professional wrestler and making it into reality TV so he has
to bring it to reality. Grandpa really wants him to take a more active
role in the company as a whole so he's treating it as dad's big audition
and he nailed it. He's like Reginald in many ways."
She had a big smile on her face as she said that, with Reginald blushing
as her praise. Joe knew it was the family's personality traits coming
through, with Betty smirking at her not even realizing that she is also
showing it as she had been producing for GCW and NEW since she was 13.
Betty finally couldn't hold back any longer and confessed, "You are your
father's daughter, Ms. '13-year-old producer'."
Joe explained to them the family's history after her father left the
Simpson family when he was 18. The family split into multiple branches
with their branch going to Florida as that had the biggest potential for
development while their other uncles worked in Hollywood as set builders
and developed a few of the region's smaller developments in suburban Los
Angeles. Taylor knew about the LA branch already as her father had been
destined to work with them- but not the Florida arm.
Joe realized his mistake and added, "Grandpa had a falling out with mom
and dad. They wanted to make amends with your father but mom and dad
wouldn't accept him back into the family. Dad was adamant that he wasn't
a Jackson, he was just some guy's kid. Mom was no better, she loved to
live the high life of a wife of a wealthy developer and openly looked
down on people like your dad. When their parents died, the two branches
fought for years and still haven't come to an agreement over their
inheritances as grandpa left your dad in his will. Mom and dad demanded
the money but our uncles wouldn't give in. I don't know if it was pride
or what, but they wouldn't split the money without him."
Betty realized the cause of it: they were ashamed of what their parents
had done and couldn't part with what Wally had rightfully inherited. She
added, "It's tough to accept your mistakes but they did. It does not
make up for why they didn't contact dad about their parents' deaths
though."
Joe looked down in shame, mumbling a saddened a saddened, "They are
stubborn. It's another trait that we all have." Taylor gave Betty a
warning look but the smirk was obvious to all to see.
Taylor called her grandfather and asked him to talk with Wally about the
Simpsons and tell him that he was going to be upset at some of the news
about them. She then added a happy, "When he settles down, tell him that
he got to meet his great-nieces and nephew. I swear at times there's a
higher power who is making things complicated as Reginald is his nephew!
They are more than our neighbors!"
Vince sighed and asked how they took the news, getting a happy, "Megan
is still in tears but is happy. It is going to be tough to separate the
trio but it does explain a lot of why they are so close. As for the rest
of them, it's best left unsaid at this time. They realized their
mistakes and see her as their niece and are going to confront their
parents about their treatment of Reginald but it turned out better than
we could have ever hoped for. She has all of them in her corner, and now
has all of us alongside them."
He nodded in approval and told her that he'd speak with Wally about what
they had found out. It was to be a big shock to him, but he had been
away from his family for 45 years and had never tried to speak to his
parents let alone his siblings again. Taylor was his life and to hear
that she had saved people who were more than just friends to her was
going to be life-changing for him.
The family talked openly now that they had no further barriers between
them. Mack and Julia were the biggest topics as they were unknown to the
Simpsons as none of them followed wrestling nor did they see much TV as
they were always traveling or working. That day was an extremely rare
day for them as it was the first time in months they had been able to be
together as one.
Julia told them why Wally and his wife Nancy had adopted her as their
daughter and how she and Mack had fallen in love with her. She smiled as
her son Samuel was barely taking notice of anyone as he and Miley played
over in the corner with their blocks, with Miley directing him where to
put his blocks and giggling as they toppled over. The two were having
their own fun, with Bella doing her best to keep the duo from fighting
or throwing things while also knowing just what was needed from the
three of them.
Riley caught their attention as she tried her hardest to not to react to
what they were going to say. It was tough to hear but her parents'
actions not only caused them to laugh but Joe happily told them, "She is
a godsend! Her father's business collapsed as he was part of the same
Ponzi scheme that dad fell for. Her mother was no better, she is in
legal trouble because she laundered some of their money through her firm
and caused them to come under federal scrutiny. They were innocent but
she lost everything. It was their screw-ups that caused us to start to
see mom and dad were damaging the company."
Riley was in tears as her birth parents had gotten just what they
deserved, with Betty telling her, "Your former siblings are probably
with your distant relatives, especially if the feds are involved. I hate
to say it, but your parents are going to prison for what they were
involved in. It's karma at its finest, your coming to us helped your new
family without ever knowing it while also helping your siblings as
well."
The family ate then broke apart for the night. Taylor told the Simpsons
that it would be best to break the news to their kids all at once so
they didn't have a bad reaction or let things get out of hand. Seeing
just how nasty or how accepting others were of Megan would go a long way
towards how they felt about her as a person as it would be tough to
explain to others why they felt the need to insult her.
An hour after the Simpsons left, Taylor received the phone call that she
had dreaded receiving. Wally sighed and had her tell him what was going
on and why the Simpsons were involved. Taylor explained everything, with
her father nodding at her actions and reactions especially to the news
about her paternal family being closer than ever thought possible.
Wally found the courage to speak and explained to her, "Your uncle Jeb
is of the belief that I am nothing to them as I'm not his paternal
brother. He was always a chauvinist jerk who treated women poorly. We
are brothers by blood, but he was always up to no good and seeking a way
of earning money from the least amount of effort. I loved the theater
and spent a lot of time on set as our father built props and sets for TV
shows then fixed-up old houses for resale. He resented that he wasn't as
good at those things and dad loved me for it, with our younger brothers
Clint and Steve being as good as me but without the appreciation for the
performances. Jed was an idea man, he had no time for arts or holding a
hammer so he was always in the office trying to get a good deal on
products while jealous of our closeness to dad."
He shook his head then confessed an angry, "I left the family because of
Jed. Your grandfather offered me a job and Jed used that as a way of
getting revenge on me for being chosen to help our dad on a project in
Canada that would have meant we could expand our business. He
miscalculated and didn't realize he was never going to get chosen, Clint
and Steve were going to go over him no matter what. He might be the
next-oldest but he is horrible with a hammer and saw. Dad confessed to
me that Jed tried everything to keep me from getting the job, he hated
to admit that it might be best that I left and seek my own path in life.
I was upset at him for years over getting pushed out in that way, Vince
was an intriguing offer but I wanted to be with my father. I see it was
meant to get me closer to my 'real' father, without Jed forcing the
family into ruin by taking his anger out on the others."
He was getting worked up but calmed himself, Taylor filled in the blacks
with, "Your dad never stopped seeing you as his son even when you were
becoming your own man on your own. He left you in his will to be part of
the family even if it was digging up old memories. Megan being like me
and you being revealed to be Vince's biological son caused Jed to blow-
up and take his anger out on her. He wanted her away from the rest of
the family if the truth about your relationship was revealed we'd be
there to help her and through us, his entire house of cards collapses.
He'd be where he is now."
She had to smile at how it ended up collapsing anyway despite his
forcing Reginald out. Jed Simpson fulfilled his own prophecy by sending
Reginald away and buying the house next to Vince Turner's own Orlando
mansion, not realizing that the Turners owned it at the time and never
knowing that she was in residence there and would help Megan. For all of
his bluster, Jed Simpson had screwed-up big time.
When she finally clicked off, Betty was hugging her as she sniffled at
life again taking a twist in a huge new direction. Betty smiled at the
whole turn of events and offered her a happy, "It's for the best. You as
an aunt to her is better than you as a neighbor. People won't question
her being close to you, they can't claim that you are directing her life
if you are her family. She needed support and she found it tenfold. You
not only got her help, but you also mended simmering feuds that were
decades in the making. You made your family whole."
Things were calm for the family after that. Bash of the Summer was what
Taylor had hoped it to be, a celebration for Bailey Banks and Taylor's
slow descent down the card as she focused more on being the executive
producer for the GCW than being an in-ring performer. Bailey got the
biggest reaction that a woman had gotten in years, second only to
Taylor's two returns and giving Bailey her big break with the fans as
they were fully in her corner now that the torch had been passed to her.
Taylor was home three out of every four weekends as she was taking a
strong stance towards winding down her career the right way. Her role on
TV was now as Anya's tag-team partner as well as the one who forced
Julia to take time off to "evaluate her life" as Taylor pursued a more
angry, frustrated role on camera but with everyone backstage being happy
with her work. Julia's time off was announced as her being pregnant and
was taken for what it was, the story was working well and gave her a
huge way of getting back into the hunt once her maternity leave ended.
Taylor refused to even consider any attempts to get back into the title
chase, Ruby Paige insisted that she tries to at least make it look like
she was trying to keep afloat and went so far as to suggest that she be
champion for a month while giving Bailey a break so she could spend time
with Afa Tui at home. It was a subtle nod that Bailey wanted time off
for marriage reasons, getting Taylor to agree in full.
Afa was upset at hearing the news. He looked at Mack and his twin Sika
and realized he was outfoxed. Bailey had staked her claim to him as her
husband and was getting a ring out of it.
The brothers concocted a way of making it look like a spur-of-the-moment
thing but it was really a way of avoiding their family's intervention.
Bailey was all alone as she was an orphan who aged-out of the foster
care system and didn't like being the center of attention for everyone
except when in the ring. The couple were of like minds and clicked so
quickly because of their mindsets, with love following so close behind
once their carnal passions were shown to be just the tip of the iceberg
with their love.
The brothers simply grinned, grabbed the couple, then dragged them to a
justice of the peace to have her do the ceremony and file the paperwork.
It was over and done in a matter of hours, with Afa not yet realizing
the significance of the situation. Sika just smirked and told his twin,
"Mom and dad knew all along that you two were going to marry. Mom might
be forceful, but she knows when to give in. She is too respectful of
Bailey's wishes to dare make an issue of her wanting a small, private
ceremony."
The couple enjoyed time together while Sika was joined by a lovable
Ruby. Mack bowed out in silence, it was getting hot and heavy and making
him uncomfortable as the ladies were ravenous in their sexual energies.
He kissed Julia deeply then told her that it's likely that his brothers
were going to be fathers in nine months, with her having Ruby as another
sister-in-law shortly.
Taylor listened to the news and smirked widely. She would have to do a
lot of work to give the ladies their needed maternity leave but it also
opened up the door for Anya to have her title run and give her a big
push up the ladder towards being a lasting superstar in her own right.
Taylor had little choice but to take over as the champion for Bailey
while she was away on her honeymoon, but she had Anya eyed for it despit
Bailey hoping Taylor would do it.
Labor Day weekend was tense for the entire combined Turner/Simpson
family as the kids would have their first introduction to Megan while
also meeting Taylor, Wally, and Nancy for the first time. The various
kids had heard about Megan from their parents and couldn't believe any
of what they had been told but were respectful enough to hold off saying
something about her. It would be hard to keep a lid on their reactions
but it was hoped that they would be smart enough to wait before venting
any anger.
The meeting was held at the Simpsons' family estate, with the elder Jed
and his wife Ellie being kept out of the loop. They had been living
elsewhere since they were removed from control of the company, with Joe
actually still living there and holding control over Jed and Ellie's new
house. The two elders were on the outs with the family and if they
crossed the line they'd be cut off without any way of getting back at
their children, they would only have their modest savings to live off of
from then on.
Jed found out about the meeting and tried to keep his other kids from
going to it, threatening to cut them off if they went against his
orders. He had nothing to threaten them with as every penny he had was
needed by him to survive, but he hoped that the others would think twice
and back away from Joe and Reginald allowing him to seize control again.
He didn't see that his sons and daughters were in agreement about Megan,
they supported her in full now that they had met the girl in person.
The full family gathered in the dining room at the mansion and saw Joe
tell his kids along with their cousins that their cousin Michael was not
going to be their cousin anymore, he was now living as a girl and was
already starting to look like one. He sighed and told them firmly,
"Michael is now known as Megan. She is taking hormones to grow breasts,
thighs, and a butt like other girls. She has started to fill out nicely
and looks nothing like she used to. She is still Milton's twin but
that's starting to change."
He signaled for her to enter, with Milton and Vinny escorting her
inside. Davis kept back and was ready to fight for her if need be, but
none of the adults expected that to happen. The kids were staring at her
with wide eyes as they were clearly shocked, with the boys blushing at
staring at her breasts.
It was the best possible reaction to meeting her, with Milton daring
them to say something about her. Joe explained to the kids that it
wasn't something that she was doing on a whim, she was always their
cousin Megan but now she wasn't going to fight her feminine side. He
pointed out how she was always sad and hid away from them and dressed
with the girls because she wanted to be normal, with the girls blushing
at their unintentional role in her change but smiling at her being so
much like them now.
The kids were led out to the recreation rooms so the adults could talk,
only to have Joe curse as he saw that his father had sent him a text
message that he would be there in a few minutes. The kids were told to
stay inside the room and protect Megan, with Milton and his elder
cousins looking to one another and agreeing that it was going to be a
fight to get at Megan through them. The 12 and 13-year-old boys were not
afraid to battle someone, with their 13 and 14-year-old sisters having
self-defense training making any attempt to get at Megan doomed from the
start for the elder Jed Simpson.
Vinny and Davis stayed close to Megan and had the other kids asking what
they were doing there, to which Megan explained to them, "Uncle Joe
couldn't tell you yet but they are our 2nd-cousins. Grandpa Jed is their
Grandpa Wally's younger brother. Their moms are the same, but their dads
were different. Cousin Taylor is our dads' and moms' cousin, she just
happens to be our neighbor too!"
Wally arrived before Jed did, with Wally taking a seat alongside Joe as
the head of the combined family and as the one whom Jed had to answer to
about denying his inheritance. Jed was one for dramatics and wanted them
to stew for a bit so he purposely told Joe that he was coming but really
was an hour away, it worked to their advantage as it allowed the kids to
get out of the line of fire and let the revelations sink in while
letting Wally get to the mansion setting-up the confrontation in their
favor.
Wally walked over to where the kids were and introduced himself to them,
hugging Davis and Vinny then giving Megan a hug and kiss on the cheek to
show that he was supporting her. The kids looked at him and couldn't
believe he was related to them, but Vinny explained that he was their
grandpa's half-brother and was the oldest of the family. Their grandpa
Jed wasn't liked by them but seeing Wally act like that with Megan and
making Vinny and Davis blush when he gave them hugs caused the kids to
see that their family wasn't exactly as they had been told and things
were now better than before.
Over in the living room/entertainment room, the group awaited Jed's
angry entrance. Joe's wife Vera had the police on standby thanks to her
brother, who was the county's sheriff, happily being told what was going
on and why it was going to happen. With him knowing that if the Turners
were involved then he had to act on their behalf to protect the family,
especially as he knew in advance that Jed and his wife were uninvited
guests and weren't wanted there.
It helped greatly that he respected Taylor and Wally for what they had
for his department and others around the country during tours. He had
seen enough of the GCW and NEW shows to have a healthy respect and
admiration for how they ran their events, especially with rowdy fans.
The shows also gave hundreds of unsold tickets to families of law
enforcement to fill empty seats, all of which earned the company
lifelong fans in his department, especially among the kids.
Jed arrived with his wife Ellie whining about their having to cancel
plans with her friends to show the kids who the real boss was and he had
better put them in their place even if he had to beat the snot out of
Joe for daring to go against them. She was a vain snob whose behavior
had been upsetting Joe and the others for years as she wasted vast
amounts of money on her vanity projects that barely made them a profit.
She personally tried to oversee the projects that they were involved in,
going so far as to tell the designers what to do and making the foremen
angrily tell Joe and the others that she either had to be reined in or
they were quitting.
Ellie said that with Joe smiling at them and Vera asking them, "Just how
would he 'put them in their place' or 'beat the snot out of Joe'?
Please, by all means, tell all of us how he plans on doing that. Is he
going to assault us? Drain the bank accounts that he can't access
anymore? Hire someone to ruin the newest plans? Spread more lies about
our business practices to shore up his own attempt to start a rival firm
that he has no capital, no connections, and no office for? By all means,
tell us as we are dying to know how he plans on harming his own
children, embezzle from the family business, and defraud the company out
of a reputation, ability to do business, and having to lie to others."
Jed angrily told Joe to shut Vera's trap or he'd shut it for her,
leading Joe to angrily tell him, "She has a right to speak to you that
way as our lawyer. She is looking after our business' interests and you
are trying to harm it. You aren't here for a social visit, speak your
piece and leave."
Jed angrily stood over Joe who only stood up and grinned at him. Joe was
a good foot taller than Jed and had 100 pounds of muscle on him. Unlike
his father, Joe had worked hard on the job sites and was a certified
heavy equipment operator as well as a licensed and bonded contractor so
he was used to the hard work and heavy lifting that went with
constructing buildings.
Jed was forced by his wife to sit down while Joe boldly told him, "A
year ago you kicked Reginald out of the family business and forced him
to accept a paper-pushing job that kept him away from the office. I'm
not going to rehash the idiocy of why you did it nor will I tout how
foolish it made you look in the eyes of your colleagues especially as my
brother-in-law personally handed you a search warrant to look over our
books and ensure that you weren't using our company to launder money.
Well, Reginald is not going to be exiled anymore and is going to replace
you as president and CEO of Simpson Developers. He is the best man to
replace you and has our full support. You no longer have our faith nor
our trust."
Jed was about to say something but Joe countered with an angry, "We
removed you from all control as you are destroying our company. We
talked with your brothers before the meeting with you and got the two to
give their blessing to ousting you from office. You only owned 1/3rd of
the company, we owned 1/3rd through their transferring part ownership to
us, and your brothers the last 1/3rd via Grandpa's estate. They were
angry that you were stupid in your listening to two shysters who were
preying on your own homophobia and nearly ruined us. The vote to remove
you was unanimous, you chose not to attend but it's legally binding. You
are officially being retired from the company and will only receive a
stipend until we are able to legally buy you out. That'll come shortly
as we'll be using our own savings to buy your share so you no longer
have any contact with our company at all."
Jed was furious and shouted, "You can't do that to me! I built this
company from the ground up and I'm the one who made all of the
connections to get everything built! You won't last without my good name
being touted! I'll ruin you for what you are doing to me! My brothers
have no right to do anything, I own those shares! I control them, they
are only names on paper!"
Vera smirked then explained, "No, you don't. You never did own them.
Your parents owned them. It was put in their wills that their stake in
the company would remain until such time as your older brother Wally had
returned and either renounced his share of their estate or he was bought
out by the three of you. He has given no such renouncement nor have they
bought him out. You can ask him yourself, he's sitting right next to Joe
you blithering idiot! How in the hell did not notice your own brother
sitting there glowering at your antics?"
Jed's face turned white as he looked like he had seen a ghost. Wally
smirked and could only say, "Hello, brother. Long time, no see. I see
you haven't changed a bit in 45 years. You always did miss what was
right in front of your face the whole time!"
Ellie was furious at Wally to which Wally told the duo, "Fate has a
funny way of working out. You cast out your son when he dared to help
his daughter become his daughter and in doing so you sent him to live
next door to my daughter. Vincent Turner might own the mansion, but my
daughter Taylor lives there and has been living there for four and a
half years. Reginald and she hit it off and by pure luck, their kids
became friends. And like the fates love to do, they gave your newest
granddaughter the one person in all of Florida who would not only
understand her needs but ensure that she got proper help."
Joe explained further, "Michael Simpson ceased to be back in April. Your
grandson never existed, your granddaughter was always there and being
raised as a boy because of what she had on the outside. She is Megan
Simpson and is thriving. She's taken to being a girl quickly and is
blossoming into a beautiful young lady. We are happy for her, she is a
model student and making everyone's life better."
Jed was visibly sickened while Ellie threatened to have social services
remove Megan. Joe grinned and added, "Not happening. They are fully
aware of her transition and won't listen to your claims. They are ready
to file charges against the two of you if you try to lie and claim
physical or sexual abuse."
Megan entered with Milton, Vinny, and Davis. Jed glared at the three and
screamed, "You mutilated my grandson! I don't care what social services
believe, I'm calling the police!"
Vera just shook her head and blurted out, "My brother will proudly tell
you to go to hell. He knows all about what is going on, he talked with
the DA and several friends of his at the anti-discrimination task force
and is not going to let you abuse the system to go after our niece. By
all means, try to go to the media. He'd love to tell them that they are
violating her rights while supporting a vain, bigoted, buffoon who is
trying to save himself from humiliation at the hands of idiots who have
nothing better to do than spout hate speech. All of that after trying to
help in a Ponzi scheme no less."
Ellie tried to make a move for Megan but saw Davis and Vinny get in the
way. She screamed at them to get out of her way or she'd beat them
silly, seeing both glaring at her and refuse to move. When she got a
hold of Vinny's hand, he flipped her onto her backside in a loud thud.
Ellie screamed in fake pain while Jed jumped after Megan. Davis kicked
him square in the balls then punched his face as he doubled over in
pain. Both he and Vinny growled, "Leave our cousin alone." Davis added,
"Uncle Ken taught us how to fight and mommy taught us to defend
ourselves. We won't let you hurt Megan. You won't get any closer to oher
without hurting yourself again."
Wally smiled at his grandsons and proclaimed to Jed, "My grandsons
aren't joking about knowing how to defend themselves. You seriously are
full of yourself if you didn't know who your own son had as neighbors-
Vince Turner is the owner of Global Championship Wrestling, with my
daughter being their top female wrestler. Save the theatrics, it won't
work. Vince would gladly have every cent you own and rip apart the
family business to protect his great-grandsons. That's before he sent
some big men to see to it that you relocated to some remote country with
no way of getting home."
Ellie realized something then screamed, "She's that tranny freak who
wrestles women!" She tried to go after Taylor but Betty stood up and
slapped her before she could connect. Betty angrily told her great-aunt,
"My wife may be transgender, but the only freak around here is you. You
are a piece of trash who has no sense of right and wrong and uses your
children to get whatever you want. What you are doing to your son and
granddaughter is pathetic and I guarantee that you will get laughed back
to the rock the two of you crawled out of. Welcome to the 2030s, being
transgender is nothing anymore."
Wally called in the awaiting Mack and had him escort the couple outside.
Mack wasn't alone, he had his brothers Afa and Sika with him to ensure
that the couple left. As they reached their car, Mack bluntly told the
couple, "Dad and my cousins aren't kidding around with you. Go after
either Megan or Reginald and you will be in for a world of hurt. We
won't harm you physically, my brothers here will do it legally. They may
look like hired thugs, but those two are lawyers and protect their
family and that extends to the whole of the Simpson family- minus you
two. Enjoy your house for the time being, it's not going to be yours
when they are through with you. You don't harm kids, especially kids
under our protection. You are disowned and disavowed by all of the
Simpsons."
The three Tui brothers forced Jed and Ellie into their car without
touching them but leaving them with the clear impression that they would
if they tried to fight back. Without his ability to intimidate you, Jed
was just a cowering bully who was up against people who could snap him
easily and who had been dealing with people like him since they were
toddlers. He didn't have to know that they were current or former
wrestlers, they were muscled and looked like hired thugs.
He tried to call the police but was directed to the sheriff himself.
Sheriff Matt Dillon happily told the angry Jed, "The Tui brothers are
not hired thugs and you weren't thrown out of your home by them. I know
for a fact that Fetu, "Mack" Tui is your nephew-in-law and his brothers
were there at the request of your son Joe. You may think that you are
above the law, but my sister has been telling me everything that went on
over there via text as did my nieces and nephews. You don't live there
anymore, you were kicked out two months ago. Your children have evicted
you from the property and after today they will evict you from your
current home as well. The Tuis are there because you have a knack for
using hired goons yourself, Fetu and his brothers are there at your
brother's request with your son's consent. They are supposed to be there
so save the claims as both Sika and Afa Tui will have you in court for
slander."
Matt was having the time of his life telling-off a thorn in his side and
someone who he hated having his beloved sister Vera, or "Kitty" as he
always called her, related to. Had it not been for Joe being a great man
that earned his respect years before and continued to do so, he would
have insisted on a divorce years before just to get her and the kids
away from Jed. The family had turned itself around and it was through
Joe's brotherly guidance that they had started to change what Jed had
almost destroyed.
Jed drove home and fumed for hours while Ellie screamed at him over them
losing everything. When she tried to access their bank accounts, they
were told by the customer service person that they had no access to
them. When they tried to call their friends, they were told that Matt's
other siblings were all in the process of spreading stories about the
couple that was causing everyone to stay away from them and with his
reputation being one of upstanding and law-abiding there was no way to
counter them.
The couple was so loud that the sheriff's department had to respond to
quiet them down. Seeing the deputies who were there, Ellie lost it and
attacked the effeminate male deputy while Jed went after the masculine
female deputy. They were both handcuffed and taken to jail for assault
and resisting arrest when they refused to be quiet and struck the
deputies when they tried to arrest the couple.
At the jail, the two were in for a shock as their gay and transphobic
slurs were shown to be rantings of two ignorant idiots as the effeminate
"male" was actually a female deputy who was recovering from a nasty hit
to the head that required her to shave her head while the masculine
"female" deputy had shorter hair than most of the males in the
department and in their rage neither noticed it flopped around. His
bulletproof vest actually made him look like he had breasts because of
his large pectoral muscles, hidden by his tight shirt that was borrowed
from a colleague after his regular duty uniform shirt was damaged due to
an earlier scuffle.
The deputies didn't let them get at them, they smartly let them talk
themselves into more trouble as they were doing their best to incite
action to get their charges thrown out. It was comical to the deputies,
it was pure arrogance and ignorance going against years of experience
dealing with idiots like them. It was also helping that both had
transgender family members so they were used to people being idiots to
them over their family, they were able to tune out the complaints and
focus on what was important.
The brothers returned to the house and told Joe to start the process of
legally evicting the couple if they weren't arrested immediately. Sika
had a big grin as he said that, which Mack explained, "Your parents are
not the type to take this laying down. They will be back and with help.
But from the look of goofy there, they are probably going to end up in
handcuffs tonight because of assaulting deputies."
Sika's smirk was one that would have made most people cringe, but Joe
just nodded in agreement as it was exactly how they'd do things. He told
both to get the paperwork together and file it with their lawyer, then
added, "Mom and dad are all alone. Vera was telling her brother about
what was going on and he will happily ensure that both get what they
deserve when his people respond. His deputies won't go over the line
with mom and dad, but they will send two who know how to deal with
them."
Vera smirked at Joe explaining that, Reginald whispered to Taylor and
Betty, "Her brother is the sheriff. I know who he will have dispatched
and it'll be the worst people to have against you. One is a former
beauty pageant winner and the other is a bodybuilder. She had surgery on
her skull two months ago while he is known for his hairstyle- he loves
unisex styles as it helps when he performs as a female in several plays
for his brother's gay pride theater group. He plays a great pantomime
dame and is a pure Shakespearean actor. Mom and dad won't stand a chance
and will get themselves sent to prison."
That set off the couple while Wally shook his head at the antics of his
family. He had to smile as it was his mother's own personality that
shined through them there. He got up to leave but first had to tell all
of the assembled siblings, "Don't be a stranger. We live nearby and I'm
all but ready to retire from active work so please visit. We have years
to make up for being away from the family."
Taylor left with her group, leaving the Simpsons to speak among
themselves about the situation as a whole. Joe looked to Reginald who
explained to everyone, "The branch is out there, they are like us and
want to be part of our lives. They don't need to do anything for us yet
are trying to be family to us. We may be neighbors but they are trying
to be our cousins. Taylor is no different than any of us, she is just
not interested in building or business or land ownership. She wants to
be closer to us, she has a family through her grandfather but she wants
to be family to us."
Joe laid out what would happen now that they were excising their parents
from the family business for good. The jobs were split among them with
Joe overseeing construction, their younger brother Clyde overseeing
designs, their brother-in-law Alton overseeing landscaping, and their
brother-in-law Bobby overseeing the rental business. The ones not
involved in the physical side of the business were their youngest
brothers Nick and Vaughn, those two were their money-men in that they
oversaw the family's business accounts and were the ones who were kept
away the most by their parents but who had saved the company from ruin
by forcing Joe to force them to back away from bad deals countless
times.
The streamlining of the business made for a clarification of power, with
Reginald as the president and CEO of the company and each of them having
their own divisions to oversee. Jed was a megalomaniac who micromanaged
the company and played one sibling against the other to show who was
boss. None of them could argue with the structure and were pleased to
have pay increases and equal shares in it.
With the business out of the way, Joe told the others that they had to
tell their uncles about finding their long-lost uncle Wally. A call was
made to California and the Simpson Set Design company, with their uncle
Clint answering the call. Joe immediately told Clint to get their uncle
Steve so they could tell the two brothers together as it was family
related and important to all of them.
When Steve entered followed by Clint's wife, Joe explained, "Mom and dad
have been removed from the company as president and chairwoman. We acted
as your proxies in removing them as you told us to do if they got out of
line. We had a good reason for doing so, but things took another turn
recently."
Joe steeled himself while all but blurting out, "Michael wasn't going
through a phase. Dad told you all about him but Michael isn't a preening
pansy. He's Megan, our niece. She's been seeing a psychiatrist and is
receiving treatment and transitioning to female. She has breasts now!
She's even got friends lined up and is making boys and girls jealous of
how she is starting to blossom."
Reginald blushed over that but it was something that Casey loved telling
the family. Joe had to steel himself while that revelation sank in and
Reginald calmed down, adding further, "Reginald had been removed from
active oversight in our company by dad because of Megan's impact on a
deal. It was a terrible deal that would have gotten us bankrupted and
sued had I not forced him to stop. We kept away from Reginald during the
intervening couple of months but ended up having his family move in next
door to a couple whose children became friends with her. When they
explained Megan's transition we learned more about the family before
finding out something important: we are related to them."
He looked around at all of them then revealed the final truth, "Their
neighbors are Betty and Taylor, who are Turners by blood. They are also
Simpson by blood- as in Grandma Mary. Taylor is our long-lost Uncle
Wally's daughter, she's our cousin and the kids are 2nd-cousins."
The name struck them close. Taylor Turner was a name known to Clint and
Steve through their work in their various Hollywood movies. She made a
huge splash without trying, with their crews giving her glowing reviews
as she seemed to understand them on a personal level. She was also taken
seriously as she was the niece of a studio executive and had the clout
to destroy your career if she chose to.
The duo had an unspoken agreement, they had to meet with Taylor and
Wally. It was going to be tough to not meet with their flesh and blood,
especially as they had a strong reason for getting close to her: they
were getting too old to run the business and wanted to retire. The
fraternal twins were in their 60s but had health issues that slowed them
down and at times impacted their work, it was time to retire.
Clint asked that they arrange a meeting between the four of them as they
wouldn't have the heart to do it with so many issues still between them.
Jed's actions were dredging up old memories and making it tough to speak
as they feared they might cause more trouble by saying the wrong thing
to their brother. Taylor was another matter altogether, if they caused
an issue with her she could destroy their business through her uncle
Percy and the GCW Studios' clout.
Joe agreed to it and called Wally and Taylor later that night. Wally
agreed to go so the brothers could finally bury the hatchet while Taylor
went to ensure that her father wasn't being exploited by the twins. It
was going to be during the next pay-per-view as it was being held in
Anaheim, with the added benefit of having Afa and Sika alongside her as
legal advisers as they would insist on being there just in case.
The preparations for the meeting gave her a chance to focus on something
other than wrestling as she was being swamped with issues as the injury
bug hit the GCW hard as multiple stars were hurt and it required some
careful booking and the call-ups of a few NEW stars to fill the gaps in
the roster. Her biggest issue was replacing Bailey Banks as she started
to get issues with her pregnancy and couldn't hold out until November's
Soul Survivor pay-per-view. Taylor would have to take the belt off of
her at the Anaheim show then have her take maternity leave immediately.
Ruby Paige was also having issues as she was trying to hide an injured
knee but got caught by Taylor as she tried to take several painkillers
that were prescribed by an uncleared doctor who was legitimately trying
to help her but wasn't known to the company. Ruby was in tears as she
confessed that she didn't want to lose her job because she couldn't keep
up with the constant travel then told Taylor that she envied her in that
she was able to endure all of the isolation and not live in fear of what
people would say or do to her because fans loved her unconditionally.
The confident and strong Ruby was actually just as insecure as everyone
else and hid her pain well, but she wasn't all alone in her isolated
feeling.
Taylor hugged her tightly then had to explain how she only did what she
did with fans because she had to and she could never do things that Ruby
did, like going out on her own without an escort or enjoy a calm night
at home because she had four kids who required constant attention from
her. Ruby had a look in her eyes of longing which was a sign to Taylor
that she was feeling the maternity bug that had swept through the
women's division that year but unlike Tanya, Julia, and Bailey, Ruby had
nobody to share that love with. She and Sika hadn't hit it off as
strongly as everyone had hoped, but it was due to her being on the road
rather than because of incompatibility.
Taylor hugged her until she stopped crying, told her that she was going
to have to take time off to get herself sorted out as she didn't want
her to cause further damage to her knee that would be hidden by the
medication, then told her that she and Sika needed to talk more as she
wasn't alone and Sika would have been with her had she asked. He was
serious in doing that, he had a job offer from the GCW to be head of
security and act as a legal adviser which would make him be around Ruby
all of the time due to the job requirements. It wasn't planned but the
current head of security was fired the week before due to allowing
prostitutes to hang around the men and trying to extort them for his own
gain, Sika fit well as he had the requirements met already and gave them
someone who knew the laws inside and out and could talk, "Cop talk" with
officers while protecting wrestlers legally if need be.
Ruby was examined by Taylor and told to go to her main doctor for a
proper diagnosis, which went as expected as the injury was confirmed as
inflammation that could be handled easily if she rested. It was the best
outcome, Taylor could still use her in matches but would see Ruby doing
only a little while her stablemates took the brunt of the matches and
got more time on camera. Her knee wouldn't fully heal for several
months, but she was still able to contribute without harming her body
further while still be in character as her manipulating her stablemates
was a large part of her character.
Sika and Ruby talked at Taylor's insistence and picked-up where they had
left off. Sika was clearly in love with Ruby and found her to be
intriguing while Ruby acted like a little girl whenever she and he
talked. Wedding bells started ringing in Taylor's head as she smiled at
the thought of the duo married.
Taylor and Betty endured the kids in school but found this year to be
different. Right out of the box, the boys were entrenched in friendships
with their second-cousins as the kids got to know one another. The twins
were still close to Vinny, but Megan was finding her female cousins to
be accepting of her change and even started to make her open up to them
as they could understand her issues with boys trying to catch peeks at
her developing butt and breasts as only girls undergoing puberty like
her can.
Vinny was happy to see Megan accepted and thriving with the girls, he
had Milton close to him so her going with the girls most of the time
wasn't as big of a loss to him as it could have been. Milton and he were
still best of friends and even saw the duo enjoying afternoons just
lounging around their houses as Megan was off with the various girls
doing whatever it was that girls their age did. She always had time for
Vinny when he needed to vent, but it was clear to the two that their
lives had finally moved on and Megan was starting to become a woman to
his man.
Over at the high school, Riley was just an average student who attracted
little attention except when she and her girlfriend Alexis kissed. It
was just like other same-sex couples at the school so it was no big deal
except to a few bigots who were quietly dealt with by students who
supported the girls. Riley had a strong group of supporters who were
more than happy to step in to intervene, several of them were the
relatives of wrestlers or whose family were involved in the GCW and NEW
operations and who were more than happy to protect their parents' boss'
daughter.
Riley and the Waite sisters were always together to the point that they
only separated when it was time to go home. The Waites were different
people that year as they had been worked through summer at one of the
numerous theme parks and had seen just how nasty people could be. They
saw themselves in too many people, Riley had brought out their inner
goodness and showed that she was a better friend than anyone in the past
had been.
The sisters enjoyed the Turner home and babysat Bella as Betty worked on
the family's finances. She was opening up their eyes and uncovering
hidden abilities, like math and science. The girls benefited as they
found they loved budgeting and made great accountants and businesswomen.
Constance Waite was all smiles as Betty told her about the girls finding
their calling. The girls were in for a lot of work but they could endure
it thanks to their family's stubborn streak. It was the same streak that
made their brothers great wrestlers and sadly also made their father a
horrible human being.
Constance was happy that Riley had broken the girls' conditioning to the
point that they happily ripped apart their father's threatening letters
from jail. She was loving the role of mother to the girls and had Riley
acting as a surrogate daughter. Riley hit her heart hard and was making
her want more out of life.
Taylor was able to talk with Constance about what to do with those
feelings. Her sister-in-law Rita was pregnant and having her brother-in-
law Fuller's second child while she herself was barren due to issues
with her uterus. Taylor smiled at the sight of Riley and happily asked,
"Have you considered fostering or adopting? There are plenty of children
who need parents. Ginny's father Hank was fostered and later adopted by
mom and dad, you should consider going that route."
The girls were entrenched in the next room but Taylor nodded to
Constance that Ginny wasn't blood to her wife. Constance loved the idea
but wasn't sure that it would be right to take in a child only for her
husband to go back out on the road four days a week. The fact that she
was considering it was a huge step for her, while Taylor texted Maxim to
tell him to talk with his wife about fostering and adoption.
Taylor was feeling great about making so many lives better, but couldn't
put off the inevitable as she had to replace the injured and pregnant
wrestlers. Ruby suggested that she stop fooling herself and call-up the
rest of the NEW women and start an "invasion" angle that would benefit
NEW as well as GCW since they could have some of them cross-over on
their program. It was easy and the women would enjoy the bump in pay
that went with it and the experience was irreplaceable and unmatched.
The idea was simple: they are fed up with the ladies at the top trying
to keep the newcomers down. It would be a simple series of matches but
it was leading to Soul Survivor being more than just a night of changes
to the roster as it usually was. The NEW women were able to carry the
roster and through the ongoing storyline, the women were getting their
shots at the spotlight without taking away from others.
Taylor's only issue was that she couldn't drop the belt for a few more
months as the other women just weren't yet strong enough to carry the
field until Julia returned. It was further made worse as the few
possible contenders weren't the best in their roles. Sarah DeVille and
Sonya Logan were just too "stiff" and terrible on the microphone
requiring structured matches and someone to speak on their behalf so
were always part of Absolute Riot to give them Ruby as their mouthpiece,
while their friends Liv Rose and Mandy Morgan were prone to botches and
couldn't keep the crowd for long even if they were two of the most
photogenic women so had to rely on underhanded tactics and stipulation
for wins.
Ruby was going to suggest they put the belt on Anya, but Anya outright
refused as she was still too new to the singles division and needed more
time working herself up. She and Julia were planned to have a #1
contenders match at February's, "Chamber of Hate" pay-per-view, with it
being a non-win that led to the duo being in the title match at
Wrestlecade. Taylor looked over the roster and sighed as she would have
to hold onto the belt until January then finally drop it to the healthy
Ruby.
Ruby and Anya kept her centered and focused on the road ahead, with
Taylor feeling like she was worn out. She had good reason to be, she had
worked nonstop since returning from injury. She would take a vacation in
California at Vince's insistence and help with the, "Finn Family" movie
being shot over in Boston during the fall in-between appearances.
The meeting with her uncles was a hidden blessing to her as Vince would
force her to stay in LA so the two could talk with Clint and Steve while
relaxing at the mansion. The fact that she'd get to see her cousins
again and enjoy Sally York's twins was a bonus. Percy and his wife Faye
were going to love seeing Wally again, especially as he'd need their
support and advice even if he'd never ask for it.
When the time finally came, Taylor flew out on Friday night with Wally
and was met at the airport by the California arm of the family. It was
surprising to her to see that Sally and sister Kate Sargent were
pregnant as well as their sister-in-law Reese, with all three blushing
at Taylor's look while Faye happily told her, "They really know how to
make their lives complicated, their husbands are happy to be fathers
with Dickson proud that Sally is having his son. Poor Bart is can't
believe he is going to be a father but he is learning what he needs to
do. Reese's parents and older brother made sure that he knew what the
consequences were if he didn't stick close by her, he's more afraid of
them than he is of fatherhood."
Wally and Percy talked privately once the ladies retired to their own
home for the night. Percy told him everything he had found out about
Clint and Steve's business as well as their personalities and it was a
stark contrast to Jed's. The twins were respected in their circles and
seen as the ones who really kept the family business afloat after he
left, while Jed nearly destroyed it before they ousted him.
The biggest news was that Jed was forced out because he was trying to do
the same thing that he had been caught trying to do in Florida. The
twins tried to keep him as far away from the family's business as
possible so spun off their Florida division to have him work on his own
and leave them out of things in case he went broke. It was their
parents' idea to do that, Jed could lose everything while Clint, Steve,
and their parents remained solvent and able to weather the financial
storm as they would really only lose their share of the profits from
owning 1/3rd of Jed's company.
The meeting was tense as the three brothers timidly embraced, with Wally
trying hard to keep himself together as he looked at the twins and all
prior issues vanished. The two were full of remorse and were trying hard
to find the right words to tell Wally that they were sorry for shunning
him. Pride made you do stupid things that you later regret, they had 45+
years of regret to live down coming out that day.
Wally asked about their parents, needing to know the truth of the man
who raised him as his own and the woman who loved him despite enduring
the impact of her one-night-stand with Vince Turner. It took all of
their might, but Steve explained to them, "Mom and dad pretty much
retired once Jed had the business in Florida settled. They earned a
steady income from both companies and remained active as board members
but left the operations to us. You know how they started it, they never
changed in all of their years despite letting you walk away. They
regretted that, they knew that you needed to be with Vince but it pained
them to see you working for a man who hurt mom so deeply. He understood
that he couldn't be there for mom and supported you despite never being
able to see you, dad held no ill will towards the man and respected him
for trying to do what was right by letting dad raise you as his own. He
was happy that you found your way to Vince, even if he never told you
the truth until recently."
Sensing the next questions, Steve shed a tear then explained, "Dad had a
weak heart, which Clint and I inherited. Jed got lucky, he takes after
mom which was why nobody ever bothered noticing that you are so
different than us as you and Jed look so similar thanks to mom's genes.
Dad did OK for five years before his heart gave out and he passed on.
Mom didn't last much longer, her asthma started to flare-up and her air
intake dived quickly. She passed on in her sleep two months after dad
passed away. She always kept a picture of the four of us and missed that
she was never got to reconcile with you. She always loved you, both of
them did."
The brothers broke down and hugged tightly, with Taylor unable to say or
do anything until they were calm enough to speak. Clint asked about her
life as they were only aware of small things and rumors, with Taylor
having to find a way of telling them the truth. Wally was smart enough
to encourage her to tell them the highlights, with the two eagerly
awaiting her answers.
Steeling herself, she sighed and explained, "Yes, I'm transgender. I
have been 'out' for over four and half years and have been dressing in
private since I was 13. Yes, I starred in a movie. It was a spur of the
moment move that was only done because I was available and the lead
actress knew me personally Yes, I did help bring down the Hernandez Prop
Shop two years ago. Their daughter was cast out of their family when she
chose to follow her dreams and become a wrestler then tried to extort
her by suing for custody of her her son when she revealed that she was
pregnant. They tried to manipulate the situation to their advantage to
try to control her through their grandson but my lawyer friends took
care of that, then my uncle Percy took care of the rest once the family
paid Julia a hefty amount for their actions. She is now my sister
through dad adopting her. She's pregnant again, married to a big burly
wrestler, and is my right-hand woman at GCW. Yes, I am a wrestler. I am
about to win the title tomorrow night. When I was forced to out myself,
grandpa Vince outed himself as dad's father to stave off the vultures. I
moved into the Turner Florida mansion to escape transphobic people while
dad still lives at home."
She smiled as they let all of that sink in. She then added, "I'm a
mother of four, with my oldest, a lovely girl by the name of Riley,
being transgender like me. The other three, Vinny, Davis, and Bella,
were all fathered by me. We do live next door to Casey and Reginald
which is what got all of us together. They got forced to join Julia's
wedding as guests due to a Samoan wedding tradition. If not for that, we
would have never reconciled despite knowing them for several years
previously and Megan, Milton, and Vinny all being in the same class in
school."
It was great news for them to hear, fate really had smiled on them as
the four branches of the family were brought together after decades
apart. They showed pictures of Bella, Vinny, Davis, and Riley then of
Betty and Nancy. Taylor happily added, "The kids have known their 2nd-
cousins for years but never knew the connection. Megan has been an
amazing kid and is blossoming into a lovely young lady, with the boys
having to fight not staring at her two new 'additions' on her chest."
It was the twins' turn to tell their stories, with Clint telling her,
"I'm widowed. My wife died from cancer two years ago. My son Travis is
the new CEO. He is married to a great man, with the two being parents to
toddlers. My younger son Walker is an artist and is the head of designs.
He has a girlfriend who refuses to marry but gave birth to a couple of
kids. One of them is leaning towards being a boy but her parents won't
influence her. Her brother is the exact opposite of her and is always in
the middle of a fight with her making anyone believe they are brothers.
We love them deeply and accept her change, but she's still too young to
make the change."
Steve explained, "My wife was his wife's sister. She is a happy
homemaker but helps with the books as she originally was one of the
company's accountants before the children came along. My kids have no
interest in the company, one son is in the Army and the other in the
Navy. Neither has kids yet but they are too young for them. They are
doing construction and computer networking so they have options when
they retire, it will be nearly impossible to not hire them when they get
out but they will fight it."
There was nothing else to discuss so they left, but did invite the two
to the Turner home on Monday so they could talk more and appease Percy's
curiosity. He and Faye had a lot of questions and if the twins were
genuine in their actions then the couple would form a working agreement
with them. They were a top firm and one that came highly recommended by
other studio executives, but the studio wouldn't do business with bigots
and frauds and what you saw in the office wasn't how anyone acted in
private.
As soon as they arrived at the Turner mansion, they were inundated with
questions from the assembled family. Vince himself was there, wanting to
hear everything himself. Taylor was just glad that things had gone well
or else she feared Vince might have hired some local "muscle" to "set
them straight."
Once they were seated and the twins moved to their playroom by their
father, Taylor explained, "We met with Uncles Steve and Clint today. You
don't have to do anything to them, they are dad's brothers in all ways.
The black sheep of the family isn't dad: it's Uncle Jed. Their pride
prevented them from seeking dad and trying to bring him back into the
family. He was better off with you, grandpa. They have done a lot on
their own and are trying to do what is right for all of the family. They
are reaching out to their brother before their time comes, they have ill
health and wanted to make amends before it's too late. They are sincere
and remorseful, they were in tears through much of the meeting."
Vince looked at Wally who then stated, "You know their reputation. You
know what caused a lot of their issues. There were always rumors but we
got the truth from the source. Jed is toxic to businesses and once he
was excised from them they rebounded and expanded. It's a solid company,
even if you ignore my connection to them your studio would be hiring the
best in the business as it's the only one that is a family business.
It's the only one run by a gay couple, something that Jed is furious
about and if not for the whole Megan situation would have ruined both
branches of the family in his bid to regain control."
It was the honest truth as Joe would have had trouble keeping his father
from destroying his brothers' lifetime work just to ensure Clint's sons
weren't able to run the business. It didn't matter that he'd harm his
own blood, so long as there was a gay couple heading the company he'd
destroy them. Taylor had to smile at that, the entire situation was his
own making as he caused his own demise.
Vince didn't say a word, but Percy asked if they had everything in
writing to keep their brother from the company just in case he tried to
buy them out from below. Taylor smirked and explained, "Jed doesn't have
a penny to his name and whatever he does have is owed to his own
company. He's lived off of his parents' creation since it was founded,
the Simpson Development company is split among him, the kids, and his
brothers. It's not an even split either, it's 60/40 with his brothers
owning 20% each. He was normally the proxy for the kids until they
started to take on more responsibility with the company but when pushed
together they used their 20% to get uncles Clint and Steve to join them
in voting out Uncle Jed. Dad's 20% has never been used before, but now
it's 80-20 against him. He has nothing and will have nothing as Joe,
Reginald, Steve, dad, and Clint buy him out."
Wally blushed at hearing that but Percy nodded, as if he expected this.
He moved them on to the other members of the family and how they would
react to the news as it was shattering to them and Wally so chose, he
could bankrupt the family when he claimed his share of the company.
Percy didn't want them to go under, they were a legitimate company who
were valued and who had won countless Oscars for their producers in the
70 years that they had been involved in the business.
Wally was blunt, telling him, "I don't want a penny from them. It's my
parents' legacy but it's their own hard work. I'd rather it be
distributed to my nieces and nephews instead of going to me, I don't
need it and they earned it. It's shuffling the paperwork, what is owed
to me I already got: an apology. I learned the truth and I accept their
apology and I am getting in contact with my brothers as well as more
family. I am as much as fault for not contacting them over the years so
it is giving Clint and Steve peace of mind and with their declining
health it's the least I can do for them."
Percy nodded and left it alone, with Vince telling him he'll get it
settled so there was no fighting and the rat Jed wasn't able to swoop in
to seize his share of the family business. Taylor was lost in thought
for a bit but smiled as she told them, "There was something else. My
cousin's daughter might be on the verge of coming out as transgender but
needed a spark. She's clearly fighting things. They don't know what to
do and if my hunch is right, she just needs to see that she isn't weird
or wrong for being transgender."
They ended their meeting as the twins were dragging their exhausted
father into the room. They were happy to seek Taylor and force her to
enjoy time with them while the guys talked in private. They were happy
to be around her again, especially as she was more fun than their aunts
and uncle and knew that she would play whatever they wanted her to play
without any fighting.
Vince called Clint and asked him to bring the brood to the pay-per-view
as they had a lot to discuss that would be best talked about together.
It was clear what he meant, the man was offering an olive branch and
giving the kids a place to be themselves with his granddaughter getting
an eyeful as she met Taylor. She was trying to be family to them and
making things easier on the Simpsons as a whole.
The twins wore themselves out after an hour, with Taylor happy to put
them to bed and loved that the two were starting to show their distinct
personalities as she eyed their separate beds. One was clearly a
masculine boy while the other was neutral, with blocks instead of action
figures and arranged in order. He wasn't a girl inside but he did love
to play pretend and build things and liked his space clean which was
compared with his brother's messy pile of toys in the corner.
Sally sensed her thinking and offered a happy, "He's not a girl. He's
like me, he likes to be creative. His brother is more destructive and
energetic like the sperm donor, he loves going out and doing things with
Dickson that his brother doesn't. They stay close together at home but
are growing into their own people. It's hard to not see them being their
own boys, they love one another but are growing apart."
The next day was frantic as Taylor had to do some rewrites thanks to
another injury, with this time it being to a tag-team. She had to get
creative and formed a tag-team of Impossible and Slick Jace, with the
two putting aside their feud to protect the GCW from the stable who held
the titles. They wouldn't hold them for long, but it was enough to
simmer their feud and give them a mutual break as they could each get
time in the ring, have a title, and not wrestle as much.
The NEW women were put through the wringer as their angles were reworked
at the TV tapings the week before with a rare "week before" taping done
just the day before airing and to set-up their major "invasion" angle.
It was tough to get the ladies who were challenging for the Women's
Championship to work together due to their legitimate heat, but neither
was willing to miss the opportunity for better pay and exposure. The
biggest issue with the two was a simmering love between them, one that
neither would admit to one another yet was clear to anyone who spent any
amount of time with them.
Taylor smirked at that, they were like two middle school girls who had
seen their crushes for the first time and would need a push to get them
to get it together and see that they loved one another and their
feelings weren't really animosity. She smartly chose to put them in a
tag-team match while she used the other ladies as fodder for the singles
matches. It would be a vastly different pay-per-view than had been
originally planned, but it would be memorable for all of the right
reasons.
At the arena, Clint and Steve showed their families inside to adjacent
luxury suites overlooking the arena below. They were met by Percy and
Faye, who asked that they not make a big issue over meeting the people
inside. Clint urged them inside, with Taylor fighting back images of her
father as she saw how much Travis and Walker looked like their father
and how much their children resembled them.
Clint steeled himself then explained, "I'd like you all to meet our
long-lost brother Wally. With him is his daughter Taylor Turner, the one
who accidentally got all of us together. Your cousin Reginald is her
neighbor and by luck and chance she has reconciled 45 years of pain and
separation."
Taylor smiled at them and observed Walker's kids being indifferent while
Travis' kids were scared. She smiled at them all and told them, "A lot
has happened in the past six months thanks to Uncle Jed. We met Reginald
and Casey thanks to my sister Julia's wedding. She'd have been here but
traveling is a pain in her pregnant state. Her husband Mack is here but
is preparing for tonight's matches."
Turning to the others, she explained further, "My wife wanted to come as
well as our children but it's a school night and it wouldn't be fair to
your other cousins to have them come without the others. They aren't
going to miss school because of this, even if they try to weasel a day
off just because they can." The joke had its desired effect, the kids
giggled and she got Walker's daughter to crack a smile.
She explained to the others, "We know a lot has been said about dad and
his family by Uncle Jed. We also know that Uncle Jed is a liar, fraud,
and angry bigot. Your 2nd-cousin Megan caused him to go too far with the
family and set in motion a series of events that led to her branch
moving next door to my family. We only found out about your connection
to dad through accident and settled whatever was between dad and Uncles
Clint and Steve. Uncle Jed is cast out of the family, he lost all rights
to be part of the family business and when he is released from prison
will see himself out on the streets."
She smiled at their reactions, it was clear that Travis was relieved to
hear the news while his husband Ian was ecstatic. It had to have been a
huge issue with them as Jed wouldn't be one to keep his mouth shut about
Travis' sexual orientation nor would he let his brother allow Travis to
become CEO of their family business. It didn't matter that Jed had no
say in the matter, the fact that Clint would dare to let his son lead
instead of Walker or Joe was outrageous.
Taylor asked to talk with Walker's daughter Bethany alone, with Walker
nodding in approval to the girl and having her brother Andy stand down
so Taylor could do what she needed to do on her own. If she was going to
harm Bethany she'd have a lot of trouble as the entire Simpson family
would defend the young girl, but Taylor had no reason to do so. A look
over at Clint got Walker to see it was safe and it was genuine, Taylor
needed to speak with Bethany about her situation and gave his full
support behind her even if she was new to the girl.
In an adjacent room, Taylor asked if Bethany was really a girl. Bethany
growled at her, ready to fight her in self-defense. Taylor just sat her
down and told her through loving eyes, "I'm transgender. I was born with
male parts but have been a girl since I was born. Your grandfather had
told me so much about you that doesn't make sense for a girl, but it
does for a boy. I have known a few boys like you before, I even talked
with one about some legal issues when we ate at a mutual friend's house
in Boston. You don't have to hide your true self. If you are a boy, your
parents will help you become one."
She tried to act mature but started to cry, Bethany was fighting herself
and the little one couldn't hold back any longer. She looked up at
Taylor who added a warm, "My daughter is transgender as is your 2nd-
cousin Megan. It was Megan who got us involved with the family again and
she is thriving as a girl. You can't be far off from starting to mature,
you need help as it'll get worse for you when you start to grow breasts
and have periods. Your parents will help you, they just need you to tell
them the truth."
She mumbled a quiet, "I haven't felt like a girl since I saw boys doing
things differently. I love doing what they do. I love skateboarding and
rollerblading and video games. I hate the clothes, my school makes us
wear uniforms and it feels terrible. I hate my long hair and I hate
makeup and I hate looking pretty. I want to be like boys, I want to be a
boy. I need to be a boy."
She didn't want to admit that last part, but it was out faster than she
realized. It was world shattering to her, she didn't want to be a girl
and couldn't admit it to herself until then. Walker entered at Taylor's
signal and hugged his son, with his wife telling Taylor, "Thank you."
She shed a tear at her son and husband embracing, telling Taylor, "We
have known for two years that he isn't a girl but he wouldn't tell us
what was wrong with him. We love him no matter what, but it's a long
road for him to get the help that he needs. We will support him no
matter how tough it gets. His school isn't going to accept his change,
but we will gladly move him to another school and ensure that they are
exposed as the overpriced, undereducated homophobes that everyone knows
them to be."
Bethany was still in tears as the two mothers knelt in front of him.
Taylor asked her affectionately, "You can't be called 'Bethany' anymore
now that we know you are a boy. What's your real name?"
He looked down in shame as the thought hadn't crossed his mind. Walker
looked at Taylor and asked if they could use her deadname. Taylor nodded
in approval, it was part of her past and it meant more to her to have a
name that meant something to the family. Matthew was her great-
grandfather's name and one that Wally had decided should be used as a
way of keeping in touch with his roots despite his exile from the rest
of the Simpsons.
Taylor happily told the young boy, "You are now Matthew Simpson, a young
boy. Bethany the girl never existed. Your parents will be in contact
with friends of mine who specializes in cases like yours, they will work
to ensure a quality education and those who refuse to allow your
transition pay dearly. I've only seen them at work against my sister's
family, but have heard what they have done to others in the past. Those
two are geniuses in the courtroom. Now that they have a protege, I
shudder to think about what the could accomplish if the trio set on a
mission of change."
Taylor had to grin at saying that, she knew that the ladies' protege and
he was one heck of a lawyer. His family was close to Taylor and kept her
centered a lot of the time whenever she visited Boston with the GCW,
they had been some of the most special of VIPs to the GCW and always
ensured Taylor didn't go overboard. The young lawyer was the scion of
the main branch of the fabled "Finn Family" that Taylor was trying hard
to stay out of becoming another branch of, but it was tough when she had
to interact with them whenever in Boston and dealing with GCW-related
things.
Taylor asked if she could take Matthew downstairs to see their stylist
to help him look like he should, with both agreeing but telling her not
to go overboard. She grinned, it was just a trim and styling as it
wasn't much to change to make her look masculine without making him look
like a Marine. He had a unisex haircut already, a trim and parting of
his hair would give him a look that fit most boys his age.
Before they went downstairs, Walker told the rest of their family the
news. Matthew was reluctant to enter, but his brother Andy insisted he
enter and stops acting like a girl. That little remark was what he
needed to hear, it caused the others to laugh but he took it to heart as
his brother had accepted him fully.
When they were downstairs in the backstage area, Taylor handed Matthew
an Impossible t-shirt while Andy got a Slick Jace t-shirt. Taylor
happily told the boys, "We needed two boys to be part of a promo that
sets up a match involving the two, you two are perfect for it as you
have a natural chemistry that is hard to capture with actors." The boys
were in a state of shock, they never imagined they'd ever be on TV let
alone seen by millions around the world!
Taylor had the stylists trim and style Matthew's hair, telling them
firmly, "He's coming out of his 12-year long feminine stage. He's just
starting out and this is a big step for him so please don't say anything
that upsets him. He and his older brother are going to be in the
Slick/Impossible promo bumper so please make him look like a new man."
The stylists went to work and quickly trimmed his hair then moved it
aside so it parted down the side and made him look like a boy who would
be an Impossible fan as he had similar hair under his mask and was
partially visible if you looked closely at him during promos. Matthew
had a smile on his face when he saw the image staring back at him, he
looked like their dad when he went to meetings around town. Andy had the
same done to him, but they didn't do cutting but did get a little
coloring to hide a scratch on his face that Matthew had given him
earlier in the day.
The two walked out to the backstage area and filmed their promo, reading
and reciting their various lines perfectly. Andy had a smile on his face
as the two wrestlers got into an argument over what the boys had been
saying about them and had Stacy Turner "settle" it for them- in the
ring. The boys were in shock as the camera panned away to the same looks
on Slick and Impossible's faces making the boys realize that the two had
just been setup for a big match that night.
When the director said, "Cut," the duo thanked the kids and hugged
Taylor, telling her it went off better than they thought. She introduced
the duo to the boys, with neither able to say anything to the men as
they couldn't believe that they were right in front of them. Slick
smirked and asked if Taylor was in the habit of collecting more kids,
which got Impossible to laugh as they broke the ice with the boys while
leaving Taylor to come up with a good comeback joke.
Taylor happily explained their connection and what else was going on,
with the two smirking as the boys couldn't believe how important Taylor
was to the show. Taylor led them away, explaining to them, "I'm the
executive producer. I'm the #3 in the GCW behind my aunt Stacy, who you
just saw, and my grandfather Vince, who you met earlier. I have been
around the GCW since I was 13, dad has been employed by them since he
was 18 and met mom through them so we have been part of it for over 45
years. I'm also a wrestler and do a lot of the last-minute changes. It's
really a family business now that my sister Julia is also one of the
producers and my brother-in-law Mack is starting to do the same. All
three of us are also wrestlers, they learned to be producers by helping
one another and to give her a role in the company while she is out on
maternity leave and traveling with her husband."
She led them away, but first introduced them to the wrestlers as they
said hello to her. Matthew was in awe of them and had to have his
brother rein him in at times but it was harmless idolizing as he saw the
guys as what he wanted to be when he could fully transition. Andy was
little better when the trio met the ladies of GCW and NEW, with Andy
practically drooling over several of the women.
Matthew shook his head at his brother's drooling, while Taylor had to
tell him, "Anya is married. Ruby is in a loving relationship with Sika
Tui who is the man shadowing us in the background. The other two that
you took a keen interest in are actually fighting their urges and I am
hoping that they finally stop their fighting and admit that they are in
love with one another. But you did choose some beautiful ones so I can't
fault you for falling for the ladies especially as they are nice people
outside of the ring. As much as I hate to say it, there are some women
employed here who are nasty people in real life."
When they were led up to the luxury suite to Matthew's new haircut
caused his mother Gloria to shed a tear as the boy was her father's son
in so many ways, more so than Andy. She couldn't help but see her
husband at the same age, he was just so much like him in looks that it
was tough to see any trace of Bethany in him. Andy was little better, he
took after her and looked like her own father and if he had a mustache
he'd be a dead ringer.
Taylor happily told them, "During the broadcast, there will be a video
shown that the boys were part of. The two played their parts perfectly
and Aunt Stacy is thankful that they gave her a few extra minutes to
rest as these normally take several takes to get right. Impossible and
Slick also send their regards, the two are ecstatic that the boys acted
naturally and didn't try to hog the spotlight."
She grinned then asked the other kids if they wanted t-shirts as well,
with the kids happily saying who they wanted and causing Taylor to send
the hapless intern who was assigned as her assistant to rush to the
trailer to get them. Taylor loved to make him work hard, it was a little
bit of revenge for some of the dirty looks that he gave to her as he
wasn't a big fan of transgender people. He never said anything to her
but she knew just what he was thinking and made sure that he knew it
wasn't appreciated.
When the hapless intern returned with the six t-shirts for the younger
kids, he complained about her treating the bunch of nobodies to freebies
on the GCW dime. He had no clue who the Simpsons were and had no idea
why Taylor was trying to treat them like they were VIPs let alone why
she was even bothering to give them the time of day as she had work to
do. Taylor let him talk himself into a tense situation as Vince was
standing behind him listening, ready to rip him to shreds over his sharp
words.
Taylor finally explained to the soon-to-be former intern, "I'm paying
for these out of my own pocket and am treating the Simpsons to an
evening of fun at the request of my wife. These people aren't just any
old group of VIPs, these people are my family. You might be new but I
doubt very much that you didn't see that everyone downstairs was going
out of their way to treat the boys like they belonged here. They do
belong here as they are my father's family and my blood relatives. So
save the attitude, your job is to be an assistant not to complain about
who gets better treatment than others."
Vince growled, "Take a hike. You are terminated immediately. I only let
you stay around because I owed a favor to your father for letting me
hire away one of his prospects; since he was a bust I don't have to keep
you around anymore. Don't bother with the dirtsheets, they won't go
after kids and they know not to go after my family especially as my son
will rip them apart through our financial investment arm. Their parent
companies fear being sued more than page clicks, they won't dare print a
word."
Sika led him out in disgrace while adding a swift, "Your article is
toast. I know damn well you were the leak of sensitive information about
upcoming matches, interns are never allowed any privileged info and we
purposely let certain info out to see who is talking to the dirtsheets
and who is loyal. Word to the wise: if you are going to try to leak
information, don't do it over the company email server from your main
account. You were caught and I have an injunction handy to prevent you
from disclosing our plans for the future. Your school isn't happy with
your actions and you have failed in their eyes so all of your scheming
was for nothing- enjoy selling t-shirts at indy shows, it's all you're
good for anymore."
He grinned then added, "Your father is a shady guy. It'd be a shame if
his secrets got leaked to the feds and rival companies." He gasped in
shock as Sika added, "He hasn't paid income taxes in years, he owes
money to dozens of wrestlers that he is trying to extort from them in
favor of terrible contracts, he is in debt to multiple people for
merchandise and ring rentals. He will slip-up, so tread lightly or you
will go down alongside him if you don't get blamed for everything in an
attempt to save his own skin."
Taylor and Vince left after obligatory pictures with the Simpsons so the
kids could show off just who the group had met. Once in his private
office downstairs, Vince sighed deeply and confessed to her, "If it
wasn't for Wally I'd say my time with his mom was a waste. She deserved
better than the flak she got for having Wally. His father was a saint
for adopting him as his own son and raising him right, I can't help but
see his father in him even if he has some of my looks. He was a real man
to my little boy."
The man was letting loose six decades of pain and regret. He cared
depely about Wally's mother but the two were in two different worlds and
couldn't be together as his heart belonged to his wife Patty and her
grandmother's heart belong to her adoptive grandfather. Taylor knew he
always cared about her but also knew that the woman deserved more than
he could ever give her, she needed stability and a chance to be herself
and that just wasn't found with Vince.
The two prepared for the show and oversaw the start before Taylor got
dressed for her match. As she was getting ready, she had to stop the two
would-be lovers from fighting. She sat them down and had the two admit
the truth to one another and stop fighting their feelings, getting both
to burst into tears as they admitted that they did have feelings for the
other and couldn't bring themselves to admit it.
The couple hugged then kissed deeply, with Taylor smiling the whole time
as the couple caused the rest of the locker room to stand in place in
silence at the sight. Taylor warmly told the two that they were in love
and being in love didn't affect them in the ring unless they let it. The
two let their anxieties go as she had them go over their match then work
with the other tag-team, with the two seeing just how they were in tune
with one another and why they made a great tag-team as well as lovers.
The match was a smashing success as the couple kissed ringside after
winning their match, causing the crowd to go wild as the two walked to
the back hand-in-hand and feeling amazing. Taylor just nodded to the
couple and told them that it was the start of something more, she had
plans for them as a team. It was the best news they could hear as she
explained they would stick around on the GCW roster, it was their big
break and their big match had sealed their elevation.
The Matthew/Andy promo turned out to be a huge hit with the fans as they
screamed at hearing the big news. It was timed perfectly as the match
would be after the GCW Global Championship match and a quick filler feud
match, giving the duo a chance to work out their differences as they
were shown in the back working on strategy. The real story was they were
ready and it was something they were happy to perform, Slick got his
chance at a title and would parlay it to a championship shot.
The match was a smashing success- literally, as the duo who lost the
titles were upset at losing them and smashed the announcing tables as
well as several set pieces. It wasn't planned and the reactions by the
security and other wrestlers were genuine, the duo was suspended for
three months and fined the cost of replacing the equipment then dropped
out of the title hunt permanently. They were already in hot water over
their attitudes and had it not been for injuries they'd have been gone
already.
Slick and Impossible intervened and ended up performing a double
takedown on the duo, giving others a chance to get out there and stop
them while also giving them a unique finishing move that would be
incorporated into their matches. The duo wasn't even trying to do the
move, it was just perfect timing and a familiarity with one another that
let them go high and low at the same time. With the two having a series
of matches in IoH and FJPW over the years the duo knew the other's
moveset by heart.
Taylor let Sika handle the situation and focused on her own match.
Bailey Banks looked like she was in a bad way but was fit enough to
wrestle but first needed "softening up" as the NEW ladies got sent to
make it look like Bailey was being beaten only to be saved by Taylor
with Taylor asking her if she was fit enough to wrestle. Bailey would
refuse her help and try to wrestle, giving Taylor a quick 5-minute match
but it was clear that she wasn't up for it before Taylor forced her to
tap out with her Muta Lock and win the title from her with Bailey
looking like she was in actual pain.
Taylor put on a show of trying to refuse the belt but Anya came out and
put it around her waist, with the other ladies in GCW acting as
protection against the NEW ladies who tried to get at Taylor and take
the belt back to their show. The whole angle continued on for the rest
of the show as the GCW ladies had an impromptu battle royal against the
NEW ladies and had a lot of fun in doing it, with the NEW ladies
victorious and gloating about it. Taylor's whole show was a big hit with
fans and it only got better as Mack defended his World Championship belt
to close out the whole show, with the pregnant Julia kissing him to show
she was still around and very pregnant explaining her own absence
further.
After the show, Bailey said goodbye to the GCW personnel as she went on
her maternity leave, giving the ladies tearful hugs while Sika and Mack
tried hard to not to rib their brother/Bailey's husband Afa. Taylor then
told the others that she'd figure out who to give the title to at the
next pay-per-view, with her eye on one of the NEW, "Invaders" as she
considered the options. She smiled at the thought that it was going to
be interesting for them when she herself started to phase out of
contention permanently over the next few months, sliding down the roster
while giving the other ladies individual pushes.
Outside, the Simpsons said their goodbyes to Taylor and Wally. The duo
headed to the Turner mansion and kissed the twins goodnight then enjoyed
a quick talk with Percy and Faye in the office. Percy was thrilled at
the meeting the next day, with Taylor told to get ready for an amazing
offer but not letting her know just what was going on and why.
Taylor had a foreboding feeling as she awoke the next day. She knew that
the meeting she was about to have was important but what it was about
was unknown to her. She tried to think about what would be such a high
priority that it needed her attention but drew a blank.
Taylor entertained Sally's twins for their grandparents while Percy and
Faye got things arranged for the meeting. The boys were on their best
behavior but loved getting Taylor to play little games with them. It was
harmless fun and gave her a great distraction.
When it was time for their nap, Taylor put them to bed then realized
that Percy had held up his meeting for her. She blushed and apologized
to him and Fay but the two just smirked and told her it was for the best
as the twins were worn out faster than normal. She was sat down then saw
someone she hadn't expected enter the room- Valerie Finn.
Taylor was at a loss for words to which Valerie happily told her, "You
really are something. You are 3 for 3 this year in helping kids. First
Riley, then Megan, now Matthew?"
Taylor blushed while Valerie hugged her to settle her nerves. Valerie
laid out some folders and asked her to look them over and give her
impression on the possible actresses that were being considered for the
role of Valerie Finn in the adaptation of her family's story. Valerie
was finally allowing production to begin on, "Someone Who Cares: The
Making of A Unique Family," the movie that was originally called, "The
John Finn Story" as it was a semi-autobiographical story with John as
the central character.
Taylor looked over the actresses listed and their previous roles then
cringed at the names. She knew several of them from starring in
Francesca Herman's movie four years before, they were great actresses
but there was something about them that made you dislike them. They
never went over the line toward being blacklisted but were not afraid to
push boundaries to test limits of decency.
One was a known bigot who exploited others to get what she wanted while
trashing gays and Asians, a big deal when you considered several cast
members were Asian. Two were the worst media leaks in Hollywood as they
used desperate reporters to harass fellow cast and crew members. The
worst of the bunch was a young woman who had little experience but who
came from an acting family and used it as a way of getting parts that
should have gone to better actresses and who had been quietly fired from
several TV shows and movies while getting a steady paycheck from hapless
producers to keep quiet about their screw-ups regarding her hiring.
She sighed and explained why the people chosen were wrong for the part,
especially as they were not going to do her justice with the way they
act on camera. Valerie grinned then showed another file, one that she
had kept hidden until that moment. She showed it to Taylor and caused
Taylor to tell her a firm, "No. Sorry, Valerie, but no. You need to find
someone else."
Valerie smirked, turned to Percy, then explained, "That's just what I
expected her to say and she is wrong about it. She is perfect for the
part. She's the right age, the right look, the right level of
experience. The best part is she knows John, my mother, my sons and
daughters, and the rest of the extended family. It's tough to get
someone who understands them like her, she's practically family to us
herself."
Taylor tried to find an excuse but Valerie added, "I am insisting on the
part of Jaimie go to three young girls who are transitioning as the
movie will be filmed all at once as it'll be easier to do overall since
the same characters are in each movie. They are new to acting and will
need someone who has been on set before and can understand their issues,
especially one who is confused and trying hard to be someone she isn't.
The three need a mentor and a mother figure, you are that person. We
want you to be that role and give them something to strive for. You are
what they want to become as women."
She backed Taylor into a corner and caused her to see that it was
something she needed to do. It was what she had done three times
already, now it was time to do it for three girls in need of a mentor.
Valerie insisted that she wasn't actually acting, she was being herself
and understood Valerie Finn best.
Taylor had to ask for some time to think about things as it would impact
her life. Valerie agreed and had her look over where filming would be
done and how, with Winnisimmet, MA being the location for a lot of
scenes while the town of Prescott, MA would be used in place of the
former town of Newhall, MO. She was glad that they weren't filming in
Newhall itself, she had a strong hatred for the place and all she had
heard was the stories from the Finns themselves.
Taylor agreed to do the movie but asked that they hold off filming until
April as she needed to fulfill a few storylines first. Valerie agreed,
with Percy adding, "That was going to happen anyway. Stacy gave it the
all clear and was going to force you to take time off anyway. The movie
gives you a legitimate way out of being on camera and your sister is
back by then anyway so we aren't losing anyone."
Valerie grinned at the acceptance and told her that she'd be paid a
solid wage but it was likely she'd make $2 million per movie with three
movies filmed back to back to back with the part of her daughter Jaimie
Finn being played by three different girls. Her logic was sound as
Jaimie developed quickly and it was going to be easier to have three
girls at different stages of development take part in the movie so that
the role seemed more natural and with time between the films being
released it allowed for fans to accept the changes easily. It was more
expensive than padding the young actress' body but they wanted to give
the girls a leg-up in their burgeoning acting careers.
Taylor asked if there were any restrictions on how she'd play the part,
to which Valerie gave her a huge grin while Percy explained, "She's
letting you play it by ear. She hasn't changed a bit since the time the
events took place. There isn't anyone who could do her justice, you are
perfect for the part as you are."
Valerie hugged Taylor as she signed the contract to play the part, with
Percy telling his PR people to let the press know that casting was
completed for "Someone Who Cares" as well as the followup movies "True
Friends and Family" and "New Beginnings" and is seeing Taylor taking on
a starring role in the three movies. There was to be no mention of her
being transgender, and the kids who were hired for the movie were the
only ones who would be touted as being transgender. The PR people were
on top of their game and had the girls as the focus of the announcement
as they were unknown actresses; that was contrasted with the man who
would play Valerie's husband John Finn as he was a TV actor who was
branching out into movies and accepted the role based on liking John's
approach to life.
The announcement was hit with complaints from comedians, political
activists, and people who had no idea what they were complaining about.
The girls were happy to have the part and being paid a hefty fee of
$500,000 each with each getting a small portion of the gross profit from
the movie, which was a hefty price to pay for first-time actors and
second only to Taylor and the actor playing John Finn. The biggest
surprise that the media learned about was that the entire "Finn Family"
were going to have roles in the movies as extras and in the case of
several major family members such as John and Valerie- playing actual
family members and minor characters.
John Finn snagged the role of Judge Mitchell who was the presiding judge
in the first movie's climax then appeared in a cameo in the second and
small supporting role in the third; Valerie would portray her mother-in-
law, Catherine Finn; her son Michael Finn would Ben Herman, a friend of
the family; Dr. Jaimie Finn would portray Dr. Alison Eliza; Miles Finn
portrayed his uncle Willie Pena; Cat and JD Finn portrayed their cousins
Bryan and Hannah Morris and so forth.
The biggest bit of casting was that they would even have their
grandchildren involved in the movie as John's namesake/Michael's son
Johnny and his cousin Antonio Peterson would portray two of Jaimie's
tormentors who had key scenes in each of the movies. Johnny's cousin
Sophia Peterson snagged the role of Jessica Nelson, one of Jaimie's
classmates turned her biggest supporter in Newhall and had a strong role
in the third movie. The role that was hardest to cast was the role of
the bully turned friend Scott Nelson, it went Chance Carter who is one
of the unofficial cousins and the one who could best understand Scott's
inner turmoil due to his own family struggles with transgender
relatives.
The movie's casting intrigued Taylor, she asked why so many Finns wanted
to be part of the movie. It was expected, so Valerie explained, "It's
our legacy. People will see the true story behind our family and will
want to say something about the events. All of the kids and
grandchildren want to be part of it but Chance has dealt with
transgender kids before and has endured a lot of torment and deep
depression due to his sister's transition as well as learning the truth
about his mother Addison. Antonio and Johnny wanted to portray those two
roles as Johnny wants the real side of the boys, that of their
manipulation of Scott's birth father, to be seen and wanted the people
who were the true abusers portrayed by people who would not give the
roles a half-ass performance."
Taylor could see the logic in doing that, especially as they meant a lot
to the family for all of the wrong reasons. It was a way of helping heal
old wounds and giving the family an outlet to get a little revenge on
the boys as well as ensure their story was told. The kids were going to
enjoy acting, they had done a few small parts for commercials in their
hometown so were going to enjoy the chance to seriously act and give
their family members their proper respect as only family could give.
With the movie stuff out of the way, Valerie asked what the whole
Matthew situation was about. She had a look of concern on her face as
she asked, it was eating at her despite the pleasant facade. Taylor had
to think then asked, "Did your son-in-law get assigned the case already?
The twins worked fast."
The smile on her face got Valerie some relief but she was still
cautious. Taylor just grinned and assured her, "It's a simple case of
forcing his school to accept his gender change or they lose all members
of his family as students. He's helping him transition legally, he got
the case due to familiarity and offering my cousins some peace of mind
and assurances that Matthew would be fine."
Valerie asked if Jaimie was involved, getting a look of uncertainty but
also a calm, "She might be given him as a patient but it's chance and
openings. She might want to give him some distance due to being married
to his lawyer. She's going to be involved in some way, it might not be
direct though."
Taylor got ready for that evening's Monday Night Wars show, telling
Valerie she was happy for the job and that she needed to stop worrying
about Jaimie and husband Rick as they would be fine. Valerie just
smirked, the whole movie production schedule was moved up and being shot
a certain way because of the issues she was having with the wrestlers.
The previous night was a success but it was also a lot of hard work to
pull off in a short period of time and she'd need the break in April.
Ruby Paige was feeling better but still suffering inflammation requiring
Taylor to tell her to kayfabe an injury and take the rest of the month
off. This was then followed up by the new couple thanking her for the
night of their lives as the couple hugged her tightly, crying into her
shoulder in gratitude. Taylor tried to say it was all themselves but
they refused to accept it, she was the catalyst and the one who saw what
nobody had seen and did what they didn't have the heart to do.
There was one woman off to the side who was deep in thought and couldn't
look at Taylor. She was the youngest member of NEW and one of their few
failed recruits. She was a powerhouse who tried and failed to break it
into the world of bodybuilding due to her refusal to take testosterone,
choosing to go into the world of wrestling and try to make her name
there but struggled to find her place and was on the verge of washing
out- a rare failure for NEW, but it was overdue.
Jasmine Tasi was the youngest cousin of the Tasi branch of the Tui
family and the one who struggled the most in life due to her constant
issues with men and women. She was a devout lesbian who acted like the
stereotypical, "Butch" lesbian but who was constantly fighting with men
over her masculine nature. She hated being masculine, she tried to hide
it by acting overly feminine but failed which was a constant source of
friction in her that others picked up on and used against her.
Jasmine was only staying around because she was needed as a jobber for
the other women, losing in a variety of ways that were often her own
doing. She was easy to write for and did a great job in the ring but she
had "Six Pack Heat" which was heat from fans for the wrong reasons. They
hated her character and would cheer on the heels just to outrage Jasmine
and annoy the heel trying to get put over.
Taylor tried to turn her heel but struggled to get her over with fans.
She did everything possible to be a classic heel, but fans had made up
their minds about hating her just to hate her, thus they gave her "Six
Pack Heat." It stung Taylor badly, but the die-hard "fans" drowned out
all of the legitimate fans making it impossible to have her on NEW's
show thus making it hard to get any momentum with NEW.
She glanced at Taylor and kept looking away, as if she was trying hard
to not take notice of her. It was what she always did whenever she was
in Taylor's presence, as if Taylor was upsetting her or causing her some
kind of inner pain. Taylor couldn't let her continue this way, she had
to say something to her.
Jasmine realized Taylor was coming towards her and started to get her
things together to leave. If the boss was approaching you in the way
that she was, it was never good for your career. Jasmine figured that
she was about to be fired by Taylor for her lack of pop with the fans
and would make way for one of the independent wrestlers trying to get a
shot at a job with NEW.
Taylor asked to speak with Jasmine then moved to a private office,
telling her to sit down as they had a lot to speak about. Taylor locked
the door, then told Sika to keep an eye out for any eavesdroppers. It
was clear that what was about to be talked about was private and not for
anyone else to hear, he'd keep the usual rats away from them and ensure
privacy for Jasmine even if he had to physically remove them from the
area and get Stacy to suspend them.
Taylor sighed and asked Jasmine, "What is going on with you? You are
starting to slip in the ring and if not for Anya countering your botched
hold last night the both of you would be in the hospital. These are the
kind of things I'd expect from rookies, but you have two years in the
indies under your belt and have been training with your cousins and
uncle since you were 12."
She was fighting tears as she listened, Taylor spotted her opening and
asked if she had spoken with a gender counselor as she had issues that
needed to be worked out. Jasmine asked what she meant, to which Taylor
sighed and told her, "I've been around the block too many times to not
see the signs that there is something going on with you. First, it was
the testosterone issue. Then it was fighting anyone who called you a
man. Then it was your attempts to be a butch lesbian yet not acting like
one. Finally, it's the fact that you look at me and fight tears. It's
not because of your period, it's been going on ever since I met you at
the wedding. You are male inside and fighting it, I've seen it in myself
in other men and it now finally started to click together."
Jasmine was weeping, telling Taylor, "I can't contain it anymore. I have
never felt like a woman. Even as a girl I felt like I should have been a
boy. I am large and my breasts small, people see me as a man no matter
how hard I try to be feminine. I play the part of butch because it was
easier on my girlfriends but I hate the look and to be honest the women
I am interested in are mostly put off by it. I'm a walking caricature. I
want it to stop but I can't do anything about it. I can't take it
anymore. Seeing you is just too much, I can't perform anymore. I'm
sorry. I'll tender my resignation and accept my father's job offer so
you can have one of the ladies who deserve the spot replace me."
Taylor was now in full doctor mode and told her warmly, "You need to
speak with an expert. There are a lot of doctors out there who can do
you a world of good, I know one who would help but you need to be open
to what she has to say. I'll see if she can come by, this is serious
enough to warrant her help. Your family would never forgive me if
something happened to you, I'm getting you help."
Taylor placed an immediate call to Dr. Jaimie Samuels and got her to
come to the arena, bringing with her a young girl and a strapping man
that made Taylor blush at seeing. Sika stared down Rick Samuels but saw
that he wasn't going to back down, causing Taylor to dismiss Sika while
adding that he wasn't needed. Sika didn't question the logic in that but
did stick close to the office just in case.
Taylor explained to Jaimie what was going on and why she wanted her to
talk with Jasmine so quickly. Jaimie understood and told her to leave
them alone for a while, this was going to be heavy as it was a long time
in the making. She wisely listened and took Rick and his daughter Sylvia
outside to tour the arena and talk about the movie, getting Sylvia to
gush at her being a movie star while Rick ignored it.
Sylvia asked what the big deal was, to which Rick explained, "It's your
mom's life story but with your grandfather as the focus. People will be
aware of what happened to her and what your uncle Scott did to her and
got away with. It'll make all of the people who hate her just because
she was born different come out to get revenge. I can't see her in pain
again, she doesn't deserve to be singled out by anyone."
Taylor watched the father coming out of Rick and saw the love his
daughter had for her parents. It was hard not to see how much Sylvia was
her father's daughter and wanted what was best for them. It was even
tougher to know that the family still had issues with incidents that
happened over 16 years before.
Jaimie exited and called Taylor to her. She had a look of concern on her
face and told her that she had to take Jasmine out of action for a while
as she was in serious mental danger. She was holding herself back but it
was clear to Taylor that Jasmine had said a few things that needed to be
addressed there.
Taylor agreed, telling Jasmine, "For your own safety I have to remove
you from your matches. Please, don't do anything to harm yourself. I'm
calling your parents for you, you need their support."
Jasmine didn't say a word as Taylor made a frantic phone call to
Jasmine's parents, getting them to head to the arena to take Jasmine
with them. She had a forlorn look on her face but Jaimie assured her,
"It's precautionary. I'm concerned that you are going to lose your
battle. Talk to your parents, it is going to be alright if you give them
the chance to talk to you. They love you no matter who you are inside."
Taylor hugged Jasmine and asked her if she had chosen her true name,
getting a sad, "Afu. I chose it to be different than my own name of
'Lalogo'. I didn't choose the name 'Jasmine', that was done by the NEW
staff when they worked on my character. I hate it, but it's what I'm
known as now"
Taylor wrote out a memo that Jasmine was retiring as a wrestler. Jasmine
shed tears at seeing that, but Taylor countered with a firm, "You are
not done with us. You need more training, you have to get into the right
shape to compete with the men. I'm not fooling around here, I know
better than anyone just how much you need to train to deal with the
larger men. You need to get your health in the right place first, that
means treatment for your gender issues. You are good, you finally gave
us why it was so tough to train you. You are a man, you will compete
with the men. I know you want this, your eyes are deceiving you. Talk
with Jaimie and her colleague tomorrow."
Jaimie called her office and had Afu given an appointment in the morning
then talked with a friend at a hospital to get her examined by an
endocrinologist as she suspected she might be more of a man than it
appeared. Afu couldn't hold herself back as he heard his name being used
by Jaimie, with Taylor telling him, "It's your name now, it's your new
life and when you return to us you will be welcomed with open arms and a
chance to show your stuff to the men. Don't hold back, be your true
self."
Afu went to her parents' home and told them that he couldn't live as a
woman anymore. They expected this confession and just wanted to ensure
that he was going to be alright and give himself a chance to be a mother
before he had surgery to remove his womb. He cried at hearing that,
wanting to do it right away so he got it over with and become the man he
had to be even if he wasn't going to ever be like his big cousins Mack,
Sika, and Afa.
The Afu drama made the rounds of the GCW locker room and saw several of
the men laughing at his "trying to be a man" while others complained
that they couldn't compete against a "woman" no matter if he got surgery
to make him into a man. Mack had to fight back his temper and was held
back by the equally upset Slick Jace and Impossible. The idiots had no
idea that Afu was his cousin, you never got a Samoan upset at you
especially when it comes to insulting their family!
The Paine Brothers, Maxim and Fuller, gave the idiots just what they
deserved by asking what about Afu scared them as they were clearly
scared of him to dare to insult him in that way. Mack gave them a nod
and let them handle things, with Maxim taking on the role of big brother
that was needed then. He had the idiots backed into a corner as they
couldn't respond without it being sexist or worse, appearing
transphobic, and made them get exposed as the ignoramuses that they had
suspected for months.
Maxim smirked while Fuller explained, "He is already bigger than the
four of you. He's taller, has bigger bicep and triceps, plus bigger
pecs. Those aren't mostly breasts, those are pure muscle with some fat.
He competed in mixed bodybuilding- the same stuff Brute Strawman
competed in. He's more of a man in our eyes than you are. Hell, he even
carries more in his pants than you do as you guys have shrunk your balls
so small they are barely working and not noticeable. Don't think your
pads help you out much, anyone with a decent eye can see that you pad
your trunks to make it look bigger."
The poor foursome was laughed at then tossed out of the locker room by
the others. You never went after another person without justification
and what they had said pissed off the others to the point of it needing
action taken. The wouldn't return to the locker room until they proved
their remorse to them and even then they had to steer clear of Mack and
his Samoan family vendetta wrath.
Taylor was well aware of what was going on in the locker room, it was
expected and those who were at fault were who she expected. It wasn't
hard to recognize the idiots, they hid their contempt of the ladies but
were loose in the tongue after a few beers especially on plane trips.
They were being dealt with by the locker room as had been done for
decades "locker room court" was in session and sentence passed.
Taylor's attention turned to the road ahead for everyone and it was a
clear path for all. She was in for a few months of shuffling champions
once she dropped her belt but it was worth the effort as she had a lot
of possibilities and it was worth giving them a shot while securing the
GCW for another seven years as the ladies were good enough to carry them
until then. It was painful to lose "Jasmine" but Afu gave them a chance
to have longer matches and do more with the women as the "invasion"
storyline started to get longer and more complex as the "invaders"
started to battle among themselves and some of the jobbers were sent
back to NEW to continue their training.
Taylor was taking time off after the next pay-per-view to be at home and
would do what she could to help out at home but Riley was doing he best
to ensure Betty wasn't overwhelmed and even started to get the boys to
be more mature and help clean their rooms instead of relying on their
housekeeper to do it for them. Taylor hated that they were often so
overwhelmed in doing things with their friends that they had to rush out
of bed in the morning and had their clothes strew about but it was
unavoidable. The woman who was hired as their housekeeper was a decent
woman who was glad to have the job and enjoyed the boys and kept them in
line whenever they were home, despite it not being part of her job
description yet never complained about doing more for them than was
required.
Taylor worked hard for the next four weeks then took her leave of
absence from the company under the strict orders of her grandfather,
going home for most of the three months to enjoy time with the kids and
to see the boys enjoy time with friends and family. He insisted that she
also talk with Afu, even sending Afu to stay with Mack as he got his
mind together and started to transition in full. He was standing by Afu
and made his views known to all members of the GCW and NEW, Afu would go
to NEW to work on his moves as he developed his character then would
work to earn his roster spot alongside the other men without being
released to work the indies again like is normally done.
It was hard for Taylor to do but she relaxed at home. Bella was
frequently with her, but her little girl had started to inch towards
being her own person and become less attached to her as she enjoyed her
time in daycare and among new friends at play dates. She was her
mother's daughter and was loving finding what she liked and disliked as
she was around kids her own age.
Riley was there for her to talk with, especially as she dealt with
occasional spats with her girlfriend Alexis. Riley was the light of her
life at times as she saw in Riley what she should have been and gave her
a purpose beyond being a woman: she was a role model. Riley was just the
first to be helped by her directly, then she had Megan Jackson who
emerged from her isolation, but now she had Afu to help and thrive as he
set on his course to become the man he needed to be.
Taylor forced herself to enjoy the time with the family, with all of
them giving her a chance to do as she needed with the least amount of
interference from them. Betty took a strong hand in making Taylor just
sit down and enjoy her vacation, with threats of sending her to LA to
stay with her aunt and uncle being made. It was a serious threat, Percy
would force her to enjoy herself and the twins would be all over her as
they made her focus on them while giving he
She rejoined the GCW in January and saw the roster revitalized, with
Julia returning and showing off her beautiful baby boy, Fetu Tui Jr., to
the roster. Taylor watched him for the couple and was given a lot of
smiles by the boy while his brother Samuel happily said he liked her.
Taylor relaxed and watched the action, not noticing the menacing man
approaching her from behind.
Taylor didn't have time to react to the unwanted person who entered the
office as the man was on her before she could turn around. He used a bat
to whack her but it only grazed her, causing her to grab onto it and get
it away from him. She tried to get between him and the kids and
succeeded in getting Samuel to move away with Fetu's carriage while the
man focused on her.
A second man entered behind him and tried to get at the kids, only to
see Samuel kick him in the shin as he went for him and Fetu. Taylor
kicked her initial attacker down then went for the new one, getting him
to duck and try to protect himself from her blows. She knocked him out
cleanly with a punch to the temples, then turned her attention to the
first attacker who went after the boys.
He lunged for the kids but missed, allowing Taylor to get on top of him
and pummel him while Samuel screamed for help. Sika and Afa were on him
fast and had him in handcuffs while more security poured into the area
accompanied by police officers. Samuel and Fetu were uninjured and saw
Samuel angry at the men for trying to hurt his aunt. Afa moved them away
to let their uncle do his job, telling Samuel that he was proud of him
for acting that way towards someone trying to harm his aunt.
It was tense as the police tried to figure out who the men were and why
they were going after Taylor and the boys. Taylor recognized the last
name of one of them and recalled a similar accent, telling the police,
"They are related to one of our former wrestlers. He was fired for his
bad attitude and trying to entice others to use his doctor to get around
our drug policy. Someone has to explain how they got into the arena
without being checked by security, they would have been blacklisted for
their connections."
Sika felt horrible and blamed himself for the lapse in security. The
company they used hires locals and does the bulk of the credentials for
them and gives them a list of names of those working the events. It was
a bad list as one of the supervisors altered it to allow the duo to work
despite being blackballed by Sika and the previous chief of security
once their cousin was fired.
Taylor was mostly fine but had to hand over producer duties to her aunt
Stacy. She was able to wrestle and did well in her match but it was
clear to the others that she wasn't on top of her game and needed them
to sell her moves. Thankfully for her, it was mostly the striking and
holds that were off as she could still perform her aerial moves with
ease as they were her bread and butter moves.
Her day wasn't over as her car was slammed into as she drove from the
arena, killing her driver and causing the car to flip over violently.
This time she was hurt, her pelvis was broken and her lower back
suffered two shattered vertebrae. She was lucky that it would heal and
allow her to walk again, but her time flying through the air in matches
was finished.
GCW took the news hard. They tried their hardest to keep her safe but
you can't protect them all of the time especially from people who are
accidents waiting to happen. She had a driver and a top quality car, but
it still wasn't enough to keep her safe from idiots driving drunk.
The media were swarming the hospital and the arena looking for news and
footage of the accident. The police had seized all footage of it and
kept a tight lid on all inquiries until the driver was apprehended. They
took a while to locate the young woman, but when found she tearfully
surrendered to them after it became clear that there was no way she
would be able to talk herself out of being arrested.
The girl was a college student who had gotten drunk at a bar nearby and
who went against her friends' advice to not drive home under the
influence. They tried to keep her at the bar until a cab came but she
faked going to the bathroom then slipped out the back door. She didn't
even realize she was driving so fast and swerving all over the place
until she slammed into the exiting car, causing it to careen wildly out
of control until it landed on its roof while her own car crashed into a
building.
Her car was totaled as the passenger side was crushed, but her side was
undamaged allowing her to get out and walk away. She never noticed the
other car, never called 911, and didn't try to stay put just in case
someone had called for help. She was only concerned with her own well-
being, hoping that others didn't notice that she was back and without
her car.
She called her parents for a ride, walking back to the bar and acting as
if nothing happened, only telling her parents that she was involved in a
fender-bender and was alright. Her parents made it out to be no big deal
and tried to entice the officers to let the matter drop, unknowingly
causing them to be arrested on bribery and extortion charges as they
refused to stop the arrest nor let it slide and refused to be paid to
fudge the truth nor let them use their previous sexual activities with
the girl's mother against them. It was a sad scene in the household as
the trio were led out in handcuffs with each screaming to be let go but
only leading to the officers' backup telling them to quiet down as they
were disturbing neighbors.
Taylor was in intensive care for a week while undergoing surgeries to
set the bones and fix the severed blood vessels while relieving pressure
on her lower body. She was lucky that her spine wasn't damaged beyond
the crushed vertebrae, but swelling caused her issues with numbness that
concerned her doctors and made her recovery slower than expected. It
took a week for it to go down enough for them to see if her damage was
going to be permanent or would she just need surgery- a long, scary week
at that.
Betty was with her throughout, taking Bella with her while Riley, Vinny,
and Davis stayed with their grandparents. They were lucky that it
occurred in Boston, they had a place to stay already as Betty had an
offer she couldn't refuse from Valerie and John Finn to stay with them
while Taylor recovered. She was tearful as she thanked them, it was just
so heartfelt and it saved her a lot of worrying.
Valerie and she talked extensively and saw Betty volunteering with
Valerie's charities as she was kept occupied, with Valerie knowing that
Taylor wouldn't be able to move much and would insist on Betty being
busy doing simple things like paperwork. Bella had the most fun as she
got to play with kids her own age and learn a lot in a short period of
time. Valerie's sister adored the precocious girl and raved about her
doing so much on her own while helping others learn alongside her.
The smile on Betty's face was priceless as Valerie joked that she had
two doctors for mothers making her a guaranteed doctor. Bella smiled at
that, not letting on that she was smart yet loving that she could show
off from time to time and get high praise. Valerie shook her head at the
little girl doing something so bold for her mother's benefit and loving
the praise, but it was expected given who her parents were.
Taylor enjoyed constant visits from Vince and Stacy as they'd stop by
before they headed home every Tuesday afternoon. Julia and Mack visited
with Fetu and Samuel followed by Afa and his wife Bailey. Afa had to
hide his face as Taylor talked with the heavily pregnant Bailey about
things that made most men cringe but made the ladies smile at.
She was having twins so things were tougher on her than most women and
only got worse as time wore on. She didn't know that twins ran in her
family but her mother had told her that she could have them at some
point, she just didn't listen. Afa was proud to be a father and was
deeply in love with Bailey, with the two fulfilling holes in their lives
that they had tried to fill by wrestling or tracking down bounties for
his bail bonds business.
The one who made her cry openly at being visited was Afu Tasi. He
sported short hair and compressed breasts while wearing a heavy flannel
shirt and jeans. He was smaller than his cousins but he still had a look
of power and sported a renewed confidence in himself that was lacking
before.
Afu gave her the chance to talk about what was going on with him and a
vent for how she was kept as a virtual prisoner by her casts. She hated
being babied and unable to move around, she wanted to get up and go home
but it was too early and she wouldn't be able to lay on a plane yet. Afu
understood what she was telling him, for a strong-willed person like
Taylor this was the worst that could happen.
She manipulated things and got him to talk about his new gender
counselor and how he felt living with his cousin and being around the
lovable Samuel. He revealed to her that he never thought about the idea
of having children but seeing the young boys and having them give him
constant attention made him yearn for parenthood even if he was going to
be a single father. Taylor knew the truth, he was just afraid that he
would make a mistake and leave the baby all alone without someone to
care for it.
She was adamant that he tries to follow through on his plans and become
a father, he owed it to himself to have the child he always dreamed
about even if it means he'd be out of action for a year. It was worth
the pain and suffering that he'd endure, he didn't need to have a second
as he had his little one already. He listened and agreed to undergo the
procedure, but asked that if something happened to him Taylor ensure
that his child went to a good home.
Betty manipulated things so Taylor had at least one person with her per
day so she didn't feel lonely. The couple kept the trio in Florida up to
date on Taylor's progress but were pleased to hear that they were
staying out of trouble and enjoying their free time. Riley had even
gotten a job with her cousin Ginny and the Waite sisters, with the girls
working hard to save up for college and their own apartment.
Taylor didn't have the heart to tell Riley that she'd buy her a house to
live in for college once she had graduated from high school and had her
surgery, the couple wanted to save that news until she had her diploma
just in case she got lazy. The four were likely to share the house until
they earned their degrees and if their hunches were right it would be
shared with Ginny's girlfriend Rose and Riley's girlfriend Alexis. All
six girls were inseparable and it made sense for them to share the
place.
The kids were forced to visit Taylor once a month during the stay, with
Vinny and Davis trying hard to not get upset at seeing their mother in
the bed. Davis loved to needle his brother about his girlfriend which
would set the boys off squabbling allowing Taylor some sense of pride at
the boys being alright. Vinny didn't actually have a girlfriend, he
simply was close to Megan's friend and whose own father had suffered a
similar accident but who wasn't as lucky. Taylor knew the girl was
trying to be nice to him but there was a little spark there that the
kids didn't notice but it was more than just understanding.
During her rehabilitation, the arraignment and trial got underway for
the girl who hit Taylor's car. Her family tried to get the media to make
their daughter out to be some innocent kid whose friends had led her to
a night of drinking and who was really to blame for, "Allowing" her to
drive drunk. It didn't work as the fact that she called them after the
accident and they didn't call the police to report what she had done
then ignored the fact that she had killed someone and badly injured
another got reported as well.
Taylor received threats from the family about dropping the case against
their daughter but soon saw the family in hot water with the state over
threatening a witness and hindering their daughter's case. Valerie may
not have wanted to become involved but when she saw one of the
threatening letters she put Rick Samuels onto the case and sued the
family for harassment and threats. The family were forced onto the
defensive and ended up having to pay Taylor a hefty settlement along
with paying the family of the man who was killed by their daughter in
addition to the money she received from the family's insurance agency
that paid out damages to her to cover her medical expenses.
Valerie and John ensured that Bella had a great time, with John doting
on her like he usually did with the little kids of his family. Betty and
Taylor refused to let him buy her anything, with Valerie holding him
back from paying for a private ambulance transport for her to return to
Florida if she chose. It was a kind gesture, but she didn't want to
force him to do anything and Betty was alright there.
John was trying his hardest to keep himself together, but seeing Taylor
hurt was excruciating. He tried to stay away from her, causing her to
see a side of him he hated showing. Valerie confessed the truth to her
and got a somber, "He's the greatest person anyone could ever meet. He's
a living saint."
Taylor was in the hospital for three months, getting released just in
time for Wrestlecade and seeing her told to stay away from the event by
her doctor. She had a lot of rehabilitation to do before she could get
into shape let alone return to the ring, she had lost a lot of muscle
mass and put on weight making her in need of a lot of work to get back
to normal. It was made worse as she had to use a wheelchair much of the
time so she'd be unable to attend a lot of the events she'd normally
take part in.
She was able to go to the event itself, she was simply unable to do
anything more than watch from the Gorilla Position while the action went
on around her. Nobody talked with her about what was going on, they
worked around her and knew that if there was an issue she'd step into
action to help despite being out on medical leave. Just her being there
energized the production staff and got them to work around problems as
they developed, doing better in the first hour than they had done in
three months.
Taylor was forced to take breaks by the staff and saw her talking with
Afu about his issues again. She saw that he looked larger, which caused
her to gasp as he nodded at having "done the deed" and used a sperm
donor to become pregnant. He then revealed to her that he had met a
single mother who was pregnant and whose boyfriend had left her all
alone without any support.
Taylor was introduced to his new girlfriend and smiled as her son acted
like Afu was his new father as he stuck close to him and kept Taylor in
his sight just in case she tried to do something to Afu. It was so
sweet, with Afu explaining that the boy just wanted a father even if his
father was going to have a baby too. The two bonded immediately after
being introduced and saw his girlfriend falling for him slowly as the
couple got closer as they went to their doctor appointments and dealt
with their pregnancies.
Taylor asked if she was alright with his transition, to which Afu
explained, "She didn't believe me when I told her, but she started to
come around to it. We didn't mean to fall for one another, she needed
help and I talked with her as we awaited our appointments with the
doctors. She asked me out for a meal and we hit it off immediately. Her
son is too young to know about sex and things but caught on that I
wasn't normal and accepted that I wasn't like other guys inside. She
moved in with me and has helped me with my low points, keeping me
together when I got too depressed to function. I love her deeply for it.
I never thought I'd find someone who'd accept me for me."
Mack was close by and assured Taylor that Afu had moved out on his own
thanks to his girlfriend being in need of a bigger place and him needing
her support. He was close by but far enough away to be on his own and
make his own mistakes, he had a place with them if he needed it but he
was doing alright so far. She just wanted to ensure that the couple
wasn't going too far too fast but the way Mack was reacting Afu might
have found his soulmate.
Taylor was happy for the couple and moved on, smiling brightly at Anya
and Tanya as she saw their newborn daughter gurgling and flapping her
arms around as they showed her off to the crew. She saw Taylor and
immediately giggled, indicating that she wanted to go to her aunt and
get attention. Taylor was at a loss for words as the little girl hadn't
met her yet seemed to like her a lot.
The couple hugged Taylor deeply and ensured that she wasn't overdoing
things then left their daughter with her while Tanya had her big return
to the ring as Anya's surprise partner for her big match with the
Absolute Riott stable. Little Bonnie Taylor Cook was the spitting image
of Tanya and shared her blue eyes and auburn hair. Taylor wasn't
surprised by this, her mother had strong genes in her.
Anya would be up next for pregnancy as Tanya and she exchanged spots on
the roster with Anya taking her leave immediately. Unless you were told
you'd never suspect, but she was two months into her pregnancy with
twins. They shared the same father as Bonnie so there was denying they
were siblings.
Bonnie cuddled into Taylor's arms and slept soundly, forcing Taylor to
miss much of the next hour as she kept Bonnie away from the action and
noise and enjoyed the tenderness of the little one. Betty and Bella had
to stifle smiles as they saw Taylor relaxing and finally giving in to
Bonnie's slumber. Taylor was in a world of her own and never noticed the
couple returning, but happily handed off Bonnie to the couple for a
diaper change and bottle as well as drinking some fluids at Betty's
request.
The night was a smashing success as Taylor saw that her producers were
able to assemble top-quality shows without input from her and knew just
how she wanted things to go despite her not being there. It was a
turning point for her with the company as it was clear that she didn't
need to be around 24/7 and could do a lot from home as she rehabbed and
enjoyed quality time with her kids while they enjoyed having their
mother back home for good. She took it as a sign that she didn't have to
rush back to the ring as she could do things slowly and take it easy
while working on her big return to the ring the following January.
The flight home was quiet as Mack and Julia slept while Fetu enjoyed
Taylor's attention and the new couple tried their hardest to not say
anything about being in a private plane with Afu's boss. Samuel and
Afu's future son hit things off and were close, which caught Taylor by
surprise but it wasn't a shock as the two probably had spent time
together before and from the looks on their faces they love it.
Once they touched down in Orlando, Taylor was forced to go straight home
by her nurse and the kids. Afu got an eyeful as Riley forced her to keep
seated and the boys wouldn't let Taylor carry any bags, it was almost
funny yet she knew it was serious to them. His girlfriend was proud to
see the family going out of their way for Taylor while seeing Afu
starting to grow maternal in his reactions to simple things.
Taylor enjoyed time with the family as her nurse got things situated for
her and worked with Betty on a schedule that ensured Taylor didn't
overdo things. Taylor resented that she was being talked around but the
two knew she would refuse to listen to them so ensured that she didn't
overdo things. Bella did her best to keep Taylor's attention, with the
little girl getting her to play with her while the planning was finished
and earned herself a reward from Betty for doing her best for her
mother's well-being.
After a combined dinner the kids were put to bed as they had school the
next day, with Bella not even fighting being included in that as she
considered herself a "big girl" and able to go to school too. The boys
were shocked at her going down too, but Riley happily told them she went
to daycare in Boston so she had to go to sleep too. Riley stayed up and
hugged Taylor deeply to which Betty kept quiet about her loving
reaction, knowing full well that it was a lot of pent-up fear and
anxiety being released.
Taylor was kept busy for two months as she underwent rehab and fought to
walk again. She hated that she was all but confined to a wheelchair and
had to stay in the downstairs guest bedroom but it wasn't a choice- she
had to stay downstairs as she wasn't strong enough to walk up and down
stairs. It was made worse as her stubborn streak fought her nurse making
the two have frequent arguments.
She was strong enough to walk for short periods of time and was getting
her range of motion back, but it was slow going for her and a source of
constant friction and anger. Betty tried to be lenient with her but she
was constantly snapping at her for the littlest things, causing her to
run off in tears as Taylor had a look of anger that she had never seen
before. Taylor didn't mean to snap all of the time, but being deemed
helpless and struggling to move made her revert to an angry, bitter
woman.
The kids knew not to press their mother and tried to behave. Betty was
grateful for the help and had Riley being the boss when Betty needed a
break. Riley didn't overdo things, she kept order as needed.
Time flew by slowly, with the end of the school year bringing the kids'
friends over every day. Taylor was forced to endure the kids seeing her
all but helpless but thankfully for her, none of them said a word about
her struggling to walk at times. The kids knew the reason for her being
so helpless and why she was struggling to get back to normal, it was
scary for them to think what could have happened.
In mid-June filming was going to being for the "Winnisimmet Tales"
trilogy that Taylor was starring in. She hated having to move north for
the summer, but it was easier to do it on location than in a stage in
Orlando, especially with a lot of scenes that needed to be filmed in
Boston. She wasn't fully back to her old self so needed a lot of help by
the crew especially as she endured the walking scenes in Boston,
thankfully for her they were able to make them short and into montages
instead of long scenes.
The kids joined her for the trip, with Reginald and Casey taking their
kids along as a way of keeping the trio distracted. Riley kept close to
Taylor and ended up being part of the movie as one of the crowds in
several scenes, with her even getting a couple of lines of dialogue in
each movie. She had no heart for acting, if it hadn't been for her
mother's involvement she'd never get in front of a camera and only
allowed herself the speaking part due to need and Taylor's pleading
looks.
Riley and the three "Jaimie Finn" actresses were close right off the
bat, with each girl sharing the same thing in common but with Riley
having the only nasty family history. They helped her get out a lot of
issues with her birth family, unknowingly getting the girls to see that
they were blessed with families who loved them despite all of the drama
that their gender transition brought with them. The empathy for Riley
had an unknown impact on the girls as it fueled their characters,
especially the "8th grade Jaimie" actress- a girl by the name of Lola.
The girls were unaware that Taylor was transgender until Riley told them
her secret, causing all three to look at her in disbelief but Taylor
explained the truth, "I transitioned five years ago and had my surgery
four years ago. Before you ask, the trio are my kids. I conceived Davis
and Vinny while still in medical school and conceived Bella a few months
before I was outed and had to transition fully. Riley isn't my daughter
by blood, but she's an amazing girl who is growing into a beautiful
young woman."
The four stayed close, with Riley and Taylor being their surrogate
family to the point that the trio was entrusted in Taylor's care so the
girls' parents could work and earn a living for themselves again while
the girls filmed their scenes. They were more than happy to allow the
girls to be cared for by Taylor, with the girls' mothers having a hard
go at bonding with them and understanding their needs as they went full-
on into womanhood. They may have been in transition for varying time
periods, but their mothers still struggled with understanding their need
to become women.
Vinny and the youngest "Jaimie," a girl named Lara, grew closer and saw
the two enjoying time at the beach during filming several of the scenes
then enjoying a night at the movies when there was nothing planned for
her. The two shared kisses on the cheek that led to her kissing him on
the lips, with both blushing at her losing herself in the moment. He was
too young for girls but found himself happy to be around a girl who had
a need for male friendship and who was pretty to look at and fun to talk
to.
Taylor was grateful that a lot of the 2nd movie involved her being
pregnant and needing to sit down at almost every turn. She felt
depressed at wearing a fake womb but when she realized that it was
needed she smiled at getting to experience some issues that Betty
complained about. Betty teased her about it to the point that Taylor
blushed whenever she was going to say something, it was quite fun in the
end.
The movie shoot got complicated as they filmed in Prescott, MA. The town
was similar to the town that had been wiped out by corruption exposed by
the, "Finn Family" members- twice! Prescott was a town in a bubble as it
had the right look and feel of Newhall, MO, and the townsfolk were
welcoming to the crew as they understood why it was getting used by
films and hoped it was the start of more filming.
Much of the actual town of Newhall was bought by four agricultural
cooperatives and used as farmland thanks to the town being all but
worthless to banks. The few families who remained behind joined the
cooperatives and saw their revenues increase making their families able
to stay in the former town on their own land while most had to move in
with relatives or get hired on as laborers with the remaining families.
Taylor learned all of that from Valerie as she showed press clippings
and online articles about the changes since they left, with her grinning
at some of the complaints from known scumbags.
Prescott took no notice of the invading crew as they happily accepted
payment for altering signs and a few coats of paint on storefronts to
make things look nicer. The paint jobs were actually needed and it saved
the businesses money so it was something they'd have done for free.
Taylor had to smile at seeing the town go out of its way to accept the
girls and boys, with Chance Carter getting all of the attention as he
was one of the few locals who would be prominently featured in the
movies.
The worst scenes for Taylor were the courtroom scenes as she had to
stand for hours as they shot and reshot scenes so they were able to have
the, "Dual-state court" scenes that were so vital to the first movie and
set the stage for the later movies while also having reaction shots of
the extras and multiple angles for each of the speakers in front of the
judge. She endured the pain and refused painkiller shots from the set's
doctor, telling him, "I can endure, I endured my confirmation surgery
and shoulder surgery so this is not going to stop me. I refuse to become
addicted to the stuff you are using, I won't take it."
Her resolve was followed-up by Betty explaining, "She knows her body,
and I know her tolerance. If she is telling you she can endure then she
can endure it. Don't push her, we will fight back against you."
The kids were smiling at seeing Taylor fight something most would give
in to. Lara used her pride to help motivate her character during those
scenes as they were some of the best in the movie and some of the most
heart-wrenching. Taylor hugged her for doing that, it was an honor to
her to inspire the little girl to be the best actress that she could be
especially as she genuinely made Taylor cry as Lara acted.
The 2nd and 3rd movie had less for Taylor to do so she kept the kids
busy with school and fun. The few who weren't needed certain days were
with Taylor preparing for their scenes and talking with her about
anything and everything. When it came to love, the three girls were all
ears at hearing how it was not the same for every girl as there were
transgender lesbians as well as heterosexual transgender girls.
She happily told them that she was living proof that you can fall for
women, just as Riley was in love with a girl. She did tell them that if
they fell for boys it was perfectly fine, especially as Lara had been
eyeing Vinny a lot lately. She confessed to Taylor that she did like him
a lot but he wasn't interested in her, Taylor happily explained that he
wasn't ready but he did like her as a friend and he respected her for
being true to herself and not trying to force herself on him or try to
impress him by acting out.
Filming for most summer/spring/fall scenes wrapped in mid-August, just
before the kids had to return to Florida to start school. Taylor stuck
around for the needed interior shots that didn't require the three
"Jaimie" actresses, with her then being stuck having to help with the
Bash of the Summer pay-per-view being held in New York. She didn't
return to the ring, but did show up in a backstage segment that showed
the wrestling world that she was alive and recovering, but not ready to
return to the ring.
Seeing her walking again caused the crowd to go wild, with the
announcers touting that she was doing better after her car accident that
nearly crippled her. No mention of a return was made, but the crowd was
chanting her name and wanted her back. She sadly couldn't return for a
while, if she ever did.
The pay-per-view saw Tanya working with Julia against Absolute Riott
then saw the returning Bailey Tui battle for the title against Ruby
Paige. Ruby lost the title but had bigger news for Taylor, she was
pregnant and leaving the next month. It was great news to Taylor, and
even bigger news as all three of the Tui brothers had found their wives
and were madly in love with one another.
Throughout the fall Taylor worked on strengthening her legs as well as
her arms. By November she was able to walk around for a half hour before
needing a rest. She steadily increased her walking time then upped her
speeds until she could run her standard 10 miles a day on the treadmill.
As she was doing this, she was helping Afu with his preparations. He
refused to let his girlfriend have another baby out of wedlock and
married in a small ceremony at city hall, witnessed by Betty and the
crying Taylor. His new wife asked him to adopt her son as his own, with
the boy happily agreeing to it.
Afu and his wife went into labor in early November, with Afu giving
birth to a boy while she gave birth to a girl. After that, Afu started
on his testosterone treatments and underwent surgery to remove his
female sex organs. His wife tried to talk him out of it but he was
adamant that he had everything he wanted in life now that he had given
birth and had two more young children with a beautiful wife.
Taylor was confided in by her that she feared for Afu, with Afu being
abrupt in his actions so soon after he gave birth making her think he
might be overcompensating. Taylor saw the reality of it, he had to do
the surgery for his own sake and giving birth to flesh and blood
accomplished what he needed the organs for. He didn't need anything more
in life, he had a wife and kids so it was personal to him.
His wife stayed strong throughout the surgery and cried as he was
wheeled to recovery. The kids were with Taylor and Betty during the
whole ordeal with their son being kept in the dark about why his new dad
needed to have surgery. He understood that he needed it done, but the
why had to elude him still.
Afu had kept active with the GCW by way of scouting talent locally as
well as giving pointers to the NEW writers. He showed promise as a scout
and potential producer but had his heart set on being in the ring again
even if he'd never make it as a male wrestler. Taylor saw in him a lot
of herself and kept his spirits up by reminding him that there was
always a chance and he was small enough to be in the cruiserweight
division so he could always win a title there and that others had made
entire careers out of being jobbers to the stars while winning thousands
of fans over with their personalities.
Soul Survivor hit the area and saw Taylor making the trek to Tampa to
help out with the planning and oversee the matches again. This time she
was going to work with the NEW people and with Afu's input she was able
to make the show a lot better than it had been in a year. Afu was
showing his worth to the company, even as he was still technically on
"maternity leave" he was giving them more notes and a lot more potential
matches than the writers who had been with them for the past five years.
Taylor got on camera the night of the Take-On event and was "drafted" to
be the guest host as the "real" host was sick that night. In reality,
the host was fired for intentionally missing his plane and trying to do
a lot of his own segments instead of following the script provided to
him. They would normally use a GCW wrestler who wasn't being used the
next night do the gig but with the GCW still short on talent and with
none of the retirees available Taylor ended up getting the job. She
didn't mind doing it, she had her father handle the job backstage while
she did her bits on camera.
Afu's wife got to enjoy seeing him in action as he talked with the
talent about what to do and when, and then had the luxury of getting
herself put on camera as an interviewer during one of the special bits
as one of the top NEW talents needed a special interviewer for his bits.
They always switched off with the interviewers for him as a recurring
gag as part of his character was that he'd find some way of doing his
segment in the most obnoxious manner and making the interviewer either
uncomfortable, revolted, or just plain angry with his actions. She was
good at it and did a great job of making him look like the jerk that
they wanted him portrayed as then had her be his next victim as he
berated her as he left but was in a rare situation- he was upset at
failing to pull off his stunt on her.
She received a big hug as well as a tidy sum for her interview, with a
job offer from NEW to do more segments at the NEW arena as well as
possibly join them on the road. Afu insisted she accept it, she could
perform the job well and it might even lead to something bigger for her
especially as she needed a job now that her ex-boyfriend gave her a huge
settlement to give up all rights to the two kids allowing Afu to adopt
them as his own. Taylor had managed to get the family lawyer to get
after her ex and got all rights revoked at his request as well as the
full sum of child support paid to her for the upkeep for the kids for
the next 18 years allowing her to never have to worry about him in their
lives again.
Afu's presence caused a stir in the NEW locker room but it was more of
them not believing that he had gone so far into his transition as to
have major surgery already. Given how he looked, it was tough to believe
that he had changed much but he sported small yet noticeably sagging
breasts as well as lots of stretch marks and cellulite from the weight
gained during pregnancy. He was still recovering from his surgery
physically and hadn't been able to fully hit the gym beyond basic
exercises, but he was looking better and was acting better than he had
when he was wrestling as "Jasmine."
The next night, Taylor was more a supervising producer than an active
participant in the pay-per-view. She ensured that things went smoothly
and made last-minute changes to the undercard as wrestlers had to deal
with go-home show injuries and sudden illnesses. They were lucky that it
was limited to just a couple of jobbers who were only on the card due to
storyline purposes so their missing the show was a good thing as they
would simply substitute them with other jobbers who were there just for
fodder in a pre-show battle royal for arena patrons and who weren't
actually going to be seen on camera that night.
The substitution was brilliant as they contrasted greatly with the guys
they were facing. The jobbers were aerialists who were in the same vein
as Taylor in terms of style but who had a bad habit of doing a lot of
botched moves that resulted in their opponents getting hurt. The guys
they were facing were two of the biggest guys on the roster and who
thrived on intimidation and overpowering folks, making the two teams
battling into something more entertaining than you'd expect from
glorified jobbers.
The other matches saw her having to rework endings and change sequences
to allow for the wrestlers to work around injuries and make it look like
they are doing more damage to one another than they really are. The
damages would lead to the wrestlers having to take time off therefor
allowing them to be out of action to actually recuperate from the real
injuries. It was a little shady, but it needed to be done to ensure that
the four injured had time to recover and return for the Battle Royal
pay-per-view in January.
When the Soul Survivor weekend finished on Tuesday night, she returned
home and enjoyed time with the kids again. She was able to join Bella on
her first field trip, with the little girl refusing to go anywhere that
day without her mother by her side. Taylor was using crutches to steady
herself at times so it was hard on her to walk through the zoo but the
kids slowed down and enjoyed the slow pace.
In December, Taylor had to fly north to Massachusetts to film winter
scenes for the movies. It was going to be a tough shoot that required
snow to be made for the set but several snowstorms that week allowed her
to film her scenes and gave the production authenticity as they got the
kids to film as if it was a real snow day. In essence, it really was as
nothing could be done until the snow was removed yet their playfulness
allowed them to include scene transitions for several scenes as part of
time passing montages between key moments in the first and second
movies.
The fresh snow also allowed for the most poignant and sad moment in the
second film to be filmed in real snow with real rosy skin on the actors
and actresses. "7th grade Jaimie," a girl by the name of Lacy, did an
amazing job in her big scene with the character of "Dan Lopez," her
neighbor's husband and pseudo-uncle. Taylor had to hold back tears as
Lacy and "Dan" did a great job acting as both concerned child and man in
the midst of a heart attack, the actor playing John Finn had to fight a
smile as he was so proud of Lacy for her performance as she looked
genuinely scared that it was real.
The winter scenes were followed by more indoor courtroom scenes that
Taylor didn't have much to do in except react to the kids' lines. It was
tough to not react when listening to some of the vile things said by the
antagonists in "Someone Who Cares" while smiling at kids' reactions in
courtroom scenes that followed. John Finn had a hard time not reacting
to the way the two antagonists hammed-up their characters, they were a
bit too close to the real-life men and once the director yelled, "Cut!"
John told the duo just so, causing the two to thank him for his approval
of their hard work.
Taylor smiled with great pride as the two were dumbfounded by what he
had said, but Valerie herself told them, "You really did capture their
arrogance and stupidity. Seriously, you might not have even gone far
enough- they were that arrogant and self-assured! You two should get a
lot of consideration for awards, it'll at least lead to bigger roles in
blockbusters later on. It's tough not to follow-up what you have done
here with better roles."
Filming wrapped with personal family scenes in front of Christmas trees
as the two Christmas scenes in the second and third movies were filmed
during Christmas itself. The Finns offered to host the Turners for the
holiday, but with so many Simpsons coming it was going to be hard to
explain why they weren't staying for the holiday in Florida. John
grinned at that, there would be two very disappointed kids if the
Turners weren't home for the holiday especially as they owed the family
a lot for their support.
Christmas was a huge affair for the Turner family as all three branches
attended. Vince and Patty held court over their grandchildren and great-
grandchildren and smiled at the growing size of the family. In just a
span of almost six years, the family had almost tripled in size and
included a whole generation of Turners. Their grandchildren had married
and found love, with all seven grandchildren now married or engaged to
be married in less than a year.
Riley's girlfriend Alexis along with Ginny's girlfriend Rose joined the
party, as did Ginny's brother Jerry and his girlfriend Tina. The Blacks
were treated like family by Vince and enjoyed him as their unofficial
grandfather and great-grandfather, with Vince happily accepting the
position as it was one that he had earned years before when he took Hank
Black under his wing as a junior producer. Hank himself always tried to
shy away from the gatherings but his wife Lillian refused to allow it as
it was a full Black family gathering alongside the Turners making his
presence mandatory.
Afu and his wife and kids were treated like cousins by the Turners, with
Afu explaining to her that it was an extension of his heritage to honor
the chief with their presence and as he was family to the Tui brothers
he was family by extension. The three brothers were there with their
brides and newborns and smiled brightly as the kids were oblivious to
the events with only Samuel and his 2nd-cousin doing much of anything as
their fathers talked. Samuel was proving to be the life of the party as
he got the other kids to play with him and keep them occupied, with
Sally York's energetic twins and the smiling Bella following his orders.
When all was said and done and the party started to wind down, Taylor
made an announcement to the assembled family. She looked at Betty then
at the kids and sighed, explaining to the assembled family, "I had a
check on my lower back and hips two days ago as part of my rehab. The
crash injuries are all healed and I should be back to walking normally
very soon. That wasn't the only news. Due to the extent of my injuries
and my career, my vertebrae have started to fuse together. If I continue
to wrestle as I have my lower back will fuse together causing great pain
and possible paralysis. I can't perform basic moonsaults and sentons
anymore, I can't do a lot of the acrobatics I had been doing at all.
It's over. I have to retire."
