Chapter 2 - The show night
The next three days were the longest of my life and getting through the
Friday at school was almost impossible. Even my friends gave up on
talking to me as the number of times they nipped me to get my attention

Because of the nature of the show, I went straight from school to the

My elder sister had been allowed to wear make-up twice in her life and

In hindsight it was obviously stage make-up which was nothing like real,
feminine make-up, however being unaware of the difference, I was
ecstatic. Because we had the earlier roles before the interval, the
stage make-up did not include lipstick, however it did include foundation
and powder - which my sister was not allowed to wear, and I felt a bit
smug that I was wearing what she wasn't allowed.
After the early performance, the four Miss World contestants were taken
away by Mrs Thompson and three other ladies of the church, all older than
Mrs Thompson, however I was being looked after by the officer in charge.
Mrs Thompson was patient and understanding with my make-up and when she
showed me the mirror I almost cried. I thought I looked so beautiful and
even made a girly raise of my hand in front of mouth as I silently turned
towards her and mouthed,
"Thank you."
She smiled, then continued with the dressing.
Putting on the wig and swimming costume was luscious and I managed to get
onto the stage, remember my lines and return to Mrs Thompson without
mistakes.
When we came to getting ready for the real outfits, she pulled out a pair
of girls panties that were pink and silky then asked me if I really
wanted to get into character. Of course, I nodded, and she asked me if I
wanted her to help me put them on or if I preferred to do so myself. I

Forty odd years later, I can still remember every detail of that

Once on the stage it was obvious I was going to win as the other two
"Misses" were looking OK, but were nowhere near as glamorous as me and I
glided across the stage to answer my questions, then posed in the line
and adopted my position - which Mrs Thompson told me years later was so
"beautifully precocious" that she almost fainted.
Once the 'chase her' line was mentioned, I again glided off the stage,
but this time to rapturous applause. Mrs Thompson was waiting to help us
down the stairs and gave all of us a hug, however I felt that my hug was
special as we now had a shared secret - my pink panties.
Mrs Thompson sensed my reluctance to take off the panties and looked sad.

"If I could help you wear soft, feminine clothes without others knowing,
would you want to keep doing that?"
Instantly I stopped sobbing.
"How could you do that?"
She smiled, stroked my face so gently and explained.
"Boys like you are very, very special and I have ways of helping protect
and encourage them. Leave me to talk to your mum and we will find a way
to help you have some wonderful, feminine times."
My smile clearly told her everything she needed to know so she turned her
back and I managed to remove the panties and put my own back on quickly.
Before joining the audience, Mrs Thompson made sure that there was no
trace of make-up on my face and no trace of tears was showing either.
