Maisie Shepard was making her way through the Normandy to the cockpit. Her mood was already sour; she hated this horribly. If there was anything Shepard hated, it was conflict resolution. It was best to head this line of thought off before it got started, though. She thought back to her classes and cleared her throat. She walked between the pair, resting her hands on both of their chairs. To her horrific embarrassment her voice cracked as she squeaked out, with all the confidence of a mouse, “Th-at’s enough. Y-you’re s-s-soldiers. Act like it.”

Joker, at least somewhat rebuked, starts clacking away at the ship’s ominikeyboard again. It always happened, every ship that she lived on growing up and served on now that she herself was in the Alliance. She had hoped her time on the Normandy would be different, finally be different from the hell the rest of her life was.

Joker closes the comms connection, then taps a few other buttons as he asks, still not looking back over his shoulder at the climaxing woman, “You get that commander?”
