When the bench was added, Doris took careful measurements, and made the cushions for the seat and backrest.
Then he added loops to put the legs on, and could, by way of a small chain, release the legs so they could be pulled up, denying access by coming up the ladder steps. Chains with clamps and locking calipers finished the project. Once seated, she pulled on the chain, and unlocked the hinged legs, and a pulley at the front lifted the legs until they were pointed up at a 15 degree angle, with the basket suspended from the tree by the chains,and locks held it in place under her own weight. The legs lifted it to a height of 24 feet, and the mesh could be used for standing. He had also welded a small piece of meal to the front, on one side, so she could clean any mud from her boots, if needed. It only weighed 35 pounds, so if they wanted, any of them men could take it down and move it easily for her. He had, also, made the ladder 36 inches across, and distanced each rung only 9 inches apart, so she wouldn't have to stretch to go up or down.
He also made a hook eye, for a safety strap to wear as she went up or down. At least two, and most times, more of the men accompanied her to and from the stand to make sure she was settled in good. For her own protection, she was provided with a small radio, to keep in touch with the rest of the party, and she carried a newly purchased Smith & Wesson Model 500, with a 12 in. barrel. Her ditty bag, as she called it, contained scent killer, and several different scents. Fox, skunk, dirt, and pine scents. It also contained several of the "Go-Pro" cameras, night vision scope, and camera, and a flare gun with six red flares, and two white flares. The first time she used it, was in the place that had been shown in the CD she had shown Billy, Rick,Cathy, and Robbi. They had recognized the location almost immediately. He stopped to get his bearings behind a large cottonwood tree, and saw something large moving through the brush, and into the water of the river. Vince was in the opposite direction, and saw nearly the same thing. He watched as it crossed the river, and disappeared into the thick brush on the other side.

Everybody stripped down to take full advantage of their sleeping bags, but due, again, to the excitement, none could go to sleep. Sue was the first to get out of her sleeping bag. She took a blanket, and put it around her shoulders, and went out to sit in one of the camp chairs. Soon all the others had joined her.
They sat there, reliving the evening, and talking about how she had discovered the alien presence. She told them, simply, "I felt something looking at me, then I heard a twig snap, then I smelt the stink. The wind was behind me, so I knew where to look. He was just coming out of the water. YES!
