Chapter 1
Jane had only married Simon for his money. After all, a wimp like Simon
would clearly have needed something extra to hitch himself a trophy wife
like Jane. Whilst Simon was only 5'6 tall Jane towered over him at 5'10
and that was before she put her heels on. Slim and blond she turned men's
heads whenever she walked by. She was clever too - she knew how she could
work the system with her stunning looks and Simon's inherited wealth was
clearly a prize worth winning even at the cost signing the pre-nuptial
agreement his lawyers had insisted upon prior to the wedding. It had given
Jane, and her divorced mother, Amanda, some pause for thought - after all
her gold digging mother had managed to get a very large settlements from
both of her previous husbands (neither of whom were Jane's father). But in
the end, knowing that she couldn't wed without signing she had agreed
thinking that it wouldn't be difficult to wind Simon round her little
finger and she would soon start salting away her monthly allowance in case
things didn't work out.
And it didn't take Jane long to realise that maybe she had made a mistake.
She was a firm follower of the "treat them mean to keep them keen" club
and whilst she had allowed Simon some forms of intimacy, she had said that
full sex was out until the honeymoon. Perhaps had she reneged on her
principles Jane would have realised, before the wedding, that Simon was
under equipped and a premature ejaculator on top. Poor Simon had been
quite inadequate at consummating the marriage and it was a rather
frustrated Jane who had drifted off to sleep that night determined, if
nothing else, to extract as much of Simon's wealth as soon as possible
before extracting herself from the marriage.
One never knows what is around the corner and it was not long after their
return from the honeymoon to Simon's large detached suburban home that
Jane made a discovery that changed her plans. Simon was out at the golf
course for his weekly session with the pro whilst Jane hosted her Mother
Amanda to afternoon tea. Her Amanda had never visited the house before and
Jane offered to give her a guided tour. Having completed the tour of the
main part of the house Jane was keen to show her mother the annex - a
self-contained apartment above the garage block. Simon had told Jane that
the previous owner had a live in Nanny for their children who had stayed
there but that he had never used it. Jane grabbed the keys and led her
mother across the drive and up the exterior staircase to the doorway.
"Well this has lots of potential Jane," observed her mother, "I mean, I
could live here quite comfortably. Sell my house, downsize and live off
the sale proceeds and my other investments."
"Don't get too many plans Mother," retorted Jane. "I'm not sure how long
I'm sticking around here with that loser."
Jane had quite naturally confided in her mother in the lack of Simon's
size and prowess and whilst Amanda could not help from laughing at the
thought of rich boy Simon's inadequacies, she truly was sympathetic to her
daughters needs. She had agreed with Jane that an early exit from the
marriage was appropriate but not before Jane had extracted some
"compensation," for the disappointment Simon had caused. Amanda even
offered to allow Jane to deposit monies extracted from Simon into her bank
accounts and to furnish fake invoices for invented beauty and spa
treatments to proffer to Simon for payment.
As they toured the master bedroom in the annex Amanda noted that the
built-in wardrobes were fitted with a lock.
"That's odd Jane. Why is it locked?"
Jane, who was not that interested in the Annex and was only visiting it to
placate her mother was not that interested in the wardrobe. But Amanda was
a curious soul, and she had a sixth sense that there might be something
interesting there.
"I really don't know mother, and besides I really don't care. I don't even
know where the key is," replied Jane.
"Oh, that's no problem for me!" replied Amanda and she took out her wallet
and removed a credit card sliding it down between the wardrobe double
doors until she found the latch. With the application of some gentle
pressure at just the right point the lock gave and the doors swung open.
"Well I never!" exclaimed Amanda.
"What the F**k is this?" Jane added.
The two women looked in disbelief at the contents of the wardrobe which
housed dozens of frilly satin "little girl" dresses, net petticoats,
drawers full of frilly rumba panties, stacks of terry towelling nappies
and Mary jane patent shoes. As Jane took the outfits down one by one to
examine the closer Amanda noticed a shoe box stored on a shelf above the
hanging rail. When she opened the box, she was speechless. There were
photos in the box - dozens of colour photos each showing a man in various
sissy little girl outfits looking quite ridiculous. A man holding a dolly,
another of him bending forward pushing a child's pram, clearly displaying
his ruffled panties. Many more in a similar vein. Despite the badly
applied make up and ill-fitting wig it was quite clear to Amanda who the
man was. It was her inadequate son in law, Simon.
Whist Jane continued to mutter incredulity at the frilly collection housed
in the locked wardrobe Amanda's mind was racing.
"Well Jane I think we may have discovered your passport to a happy and
prosperous marriage," she said as she held up a photo of Simon wearing one
of the more ridiculous outfits hanging up.
"What?" exclaimed a rather angry Jane. "A happy marriage? To that sissy
freak! No way mother, I don't care about the pre-nup. I'm leaving him
immediately - he can pay me something or I'll tell everyone why I left
him."
"Oh Jane," her mother replied in a calming tone, "there are many ways to
skin a cat, and besides, if you don't mind me mixing metaphors, we don't
want to kill the goose that lays the golden egg do we?"
"What on earth do you mean?"
"Let's lock up here, go back to the main house and we can discuss it over
a nice cup of tea."
So, while Simon, in total ignorance of what his new wife and mother in law
had discovered, was practicing his back swing at the golf club a plan was
being hatched at his house. A life changing plan that was to have enormous
consequences for Jane, Amanda and not least of all Simon.
