Chapter # 4 Oh No! Mom is really into this little girl thing, and worse
Holli is due home soon:
Once down stairs and in the kitchen, mom said, Jilly, why don't you get
the dishes & glasses for us and I'll make us some sandwiches; ok sweetie
pie? Be careful you don't drop any of them, and try not to fall sweetie.
Then out of nowhere came another one of those weird surprises, as Mom
looked over at me, while I was taking down some glasses from the shelf.
Oh wait, honeybunny that one glass is much too big for someone your age
to use. Let me look in the cabinet for one that's more your size sweetie.
I watched as mom went into the cabinet, in about a minute, she had
something in her hand.
Oh, come on really, dang! just great! She has to be kidding me, she had
Holli's old "PRINCESS" sippy cup. It was about 5-inches high, with a
picture of a "Princess" on it. The princess looked like she was dancing
on a cloud. Plus, to make things even worse, in big pink lettering, was
the word "PRINCESS" printed right across the cloud. The sippy cup had a
special snap on top to drink from, and it was designed so that anyone
drinking from the cup couldn't spill anything on them self.
I just stood there looking at it; as Mom went on to say, you know sweetie
that little girls your age sometimes can't handle big glasses. I think
that this will help till you can. She explained that this is what I would
be drinking from till she said differently.
I definitely didn't want to hear this or use this girly cup that's for
sure, but mom handed it to me so what could I do. Once mom had the
sandwiches made, and had poured both of us a drink of apple juice, as we
both sat down to have lunch. Mom would look over every so often saying
things like, you need to eat slower dear, or take smaller bites, or maybe
she would say, you need to use your napkin. After lunch I helped mom
clean up the table, and put things in the sink.
That's when she decided that I should go into the living room and play
with my new dolly. I found out while I was in taking a bath, mom had put
Holli's baby buggy in the living room for me. she had also set up Holli's
little table & chair set. Plus, she had everything for a tea party, set
up on the table. I was told to go play tea party or house with my new
dolly, while she washed the dishes, and straighten out the house.
I just sat there at the little table, really feeling stupid about how I
was dressed, and not really knowing what to do next. Then for some reason
I started to play with the doll, and the baby buggy. Next thing I know,
I'm playing with the tea set, which I was really getting into. I was
actually having fun playing tea party with my new doll. Who would have
guessed?
About 2 hours later mom came in and told me to stop what I was doing, and
to go up to my room. She told me to wait up there till she came and got
me.
I realized right away that it was near three thirty. Dang its almost time
for my sister to come home from school. I figured mom wanted to talk to
Holli before she seen me dress up like this. I knew I would be in for a
lot of harassment, and pay back from my sister. I figure that she was
going to make me pay for all the things I ever did to her. You could
count on that!
I took my doll and went upstairs and waited in my room for about 15-
minutes. I was laying on my bed, when I heard Holli come in the front
door. I could tell she was all excited, and dying to tell all about what
happened on the school bus today. I walked out of my room and stood near
the top of the stairs, out of the way, so I could hear what was
happening.
Holli had seen mom's car in front of the garage, so she came home instead
of going to Mrs. Miller's house. Mom had already called over to the
Miller's to let her know what had happened and that she was home.
Holli had come running into the house with a burst of energy, all excited
to tell mom what happened on the school bus this morning. I was standing
there trying to listen to what was being said down stairs.
Mom sat Holli down to listen to her side of the story. She actually
wanted to tell her what was happening here, but as usual, mom couldn't
get a word in for about good 10-minutes. My sister was going on & on
about what happen on the bus, and me being taken to the Principles
office. It took at least 20-minutes before I heard my sister clam down a
little.
I heard mom start telling her that knows what happened on the bus and all
that. She told Holli I was in big trouble about the firecrackers, and I
was being punished. She explained to her that there had been some drastic
changes made. She explained that I was being punished for what had
happened on the bus, plus for some of the other things I had done wrong
lately.
Mom told Holli that she wanted her to wait down stairs here, because she
was about to see what my punishment was for herself. Mom had already told
her that things around the house for the next 3 or more weeks would be a
lot different, and that this would be a big surprise for her. Then I
heard Mom say, stay here, while I go up and get your brother Jack.
I heard mom starting for the stairs, so I quickly ran back to my room.
Mom came up and over to my door. She said, Ok Jilly let's go down stairs,
so your sister can see you and know what's going on. The one thing I
really didn't want to do, was let my sister see me all dressed up like a
little girl, but I knew it was going to happen.
I said, NO way! I really don't want to go down stairs to face Holli.
It didn't matter what I said, Mom said, you are going down stairs. you
can't stay up here forever, so let's go. She grabbed me, turned me
around, and gave me two hard whacks on my backside. She told me point
blank that girls your age don't have a choice in what they want to do.
Mommies are in charge.
She said in a stern voice, that I would do as I'm told, or I would be
back over her knee again. Then mom said, now JILLIAN" stop fusing, we are
going down stairs "Now", or maybe you want to go over my keen again? If
not, then let's move it young lady, and don't forget your dolly. She also
told me not to forget go down the stairs slowly and to take one step at a
time, and don't forget to hold onto the railing, just like a good little
girl.
I walked out of my room and started down the stairs, one step at a time,
holding the railing as I took each step, I could feel my dress and
crinoline bouncing, up and down as I took a step, showing off the pretty

with one hand, and the railing with the other, while mom followed close
behind me. About haft way down, I saw Holli at the bottom of the

That's when I heard her start up with that girlish yelp or sequel, girls
give when they are excited about something. She started yelling really
loud "OH MY GOSH, JACKY"? NO WAY! IS THAT REALLY YOU JACKY?
OH-MY-GOSH, you look simply adorable? Oh, My, you are so cute looking,
and look at those pretty rhumba panties you have on? Oh, how adorable
they look on you, I could just eat you up. you look so cute, almost like
one of my dollies.
By now I was starting to cry a little as I hit the bottom of the stairs,
and Holli was all over me by then. She was lifting the skirt of the
dress. She was checking out my crinoline and frilly panties. She then
looked at the doll, I was carrying.
Oh my! Wow, what a really pretty dolly you have, Jacky. Oh, she looks so

I was getting really upset now, as I started to cry.
Mom jumped in saying, now Holli calm down, you're starting to make her
cry. She cries very easily, just like any little girl when they get
upset.
That's when mom said to Holli, guess what? Jacky picked out her new dolly
all by herself. She even told me that it was the cutest, most adorable,
dolly in the whole world, and that she had to have it, because she just
loved it so much.
Holli just giggled and right away had to ask what my dolly's name was?
Mom just looked at me and waited to see what I would say.
So, in a low whisper, I said, that my dolly's name is "Sarah-Jane".
That's when Holli yells out WOW! That's such a pretty name. Then out of
nowhere she says "Wait a minute. Isn't that the same name, as that cute
girl you like in your class"?
My eyes open wide, I didn't think anyone knew about me liking Sarah?
Holli couldn't resist, she started to rub it in by saying, I know maybe
mom can call Sarah up, and she can come over with her doll, then you and
her can play house, or have a tea party? Oh wait, better yet, maybe she
can even come over to baby set you? Wouldn't you just love having Sarah
baby setting you? I bet that mom could ask her for you, if you really
want her too.
Mom was quick to step in saying, that's enough of that Holli; as of right
now, we are the only ones who know Jack is being punished this way. We
are not going to tell anybody else. do you understand me?
Holli said yes mom. That's when she asked, mom seeing Jack is dressed
like a little girl, does she have a pretty girl's name?
But before mom could answer, Holli asked another dumb question, but it
was something I never thought of. Holli said, real loud. How old is Jack
mom? I mean he looks like a 3-year-old?
I piped up and said, Mom said, that she is going to call me Jillian or
Jilly, and I'm 6-years-old.
Mom jumped right in saying, what was that Jilly. You know I didn't say
anything like that. Matter of fact I have decided that you just turned 3-
years-old a couple of months ago, so you better get used to it, because
you are now Holli's little baby sister.
I looked at mom saying, "BUT MOM"?
Holli just giggled, saying, wow that means little Lynn next door is even
older than you. Her 4th birthday is this Saturday.
Uh-oh I just saw Holli's eyes light up, and a big smile come across her
face.
Next thing she said really loud was. Mom, it's Lynn's birthday party on
Saturday. Can Jacky, I mean Jilly, go to her party too. I know Lynn would
just love to have another little girl her age there.
I think mom liked the idea, as she said well, I'll have to think about
that dear.
I was ready to cry again, and Holli knew it, because she just seemed to
keep pushing my buttons, as she said, I think she would look so cute in
one of my frilly little party dresses. I know I have some really cute
party dresses she can wear. We could do her hair and put some really cute
bows in her hair. Then she could play all the party games? with the other
little girls. Jilly could also bring her pretty dolly with her too.
That's when she looked at me saying, Won't you just love to go and have
fun with the other little girls Jilly?
My sister was on a roll now, and she continued on. I could even help baby
setting Jilly, and watch over all the other little girls for Mrs. Miller
and you. This way you could talk to Mrs. Miller, help her with the party
and not worry about taking care of the little girls.
Mom said, that's a nice idea, but I'll have to think about that, for now,
let's just drop the subject.
I knew now I was in for a really bad 3 weeks of girly time for sure.
Especially if my sister has anything to do with it. I knew my sister
would have me doing tons of little girl things, for the next couple of
weeks.
Mom asked Holli to watch me for a bit, because she had run to the store
for a few things. After she had her jacket on, she told me that Holli was
now the big sister, and from now on I had to listen, and obey her when
mom was gone. I could see Hollis face glow when she heard that. She was
now in her glory, and I was about to start paying for all I ever did to
her.
I will say Holli was pretty good with me, while mom was gone, but she did
start off teasing me a lot. She started calling me Little Jilly just to
rub in that she was in charge and the big sister now. She would first
call out JACK! Then go Oh! I'm sorry it's Little Jilly now, who is now my
little sister, which makes me the big sister. Then she would come over
and started flipping my dress up in the back like I have done so many
times to her before.
After a while she calmed down, and got her doll out, and had me get my
doll. Once we had our dolls, she had me playing house with her. While
playing she explained to me that I was carrying my doll the wrong way,
and then she showed me the right way to do it. She had me practice, and
pretend to be its mommy, while she showed me how to feed the dolly a
bottle. Heck she even had me put it in the baby carriage, so I could push
it around the house. Then out of nowhere she asked me if I liked being a
little girl and her baby sister?
I was a little taken back, but I told her that I wasn't happy about it,
but for some reason the cloths felt kind of nice to wear. I also told her
I liked to watch the dress swish back & forth, as I wiggled & watched
myself in the mirror. That's when Holli got excited and said, yeah, isn't
that so cool, I love doing that while looking in a mirror too. We both
had a good laugh at that.
Mom got back about 1/2 hour later. Seems she had run to the store to get
some milk and things. She was happy when she got home, because we were
both playing & giggling together by then.
It was about 5:30 and mom had just finished making supper for us. She
yelled for both of us to help set the table. When my sister entered the
kitchen, mom handed her that dang "Princess" sippy cup, and told her to
place it in my spot. Telling her that's what little Jilly will use.
Holli just giggled saying OH! Isn't that so cute do you think Little
Jilly needs a bib, too.
That's when mom pulls another one of those surprises saying, why honey
that's such a good idea. Why yes, I think a bib is prefect. That way she
wouldn't spill anything on her pretty dress. Holli be a dear, and go see
if you can find your princess bib, the one that matches the cup. I think
it's up in the attic in a box mark "Holli's Princess Stuff".
Dang if it wasn't just my luck, Holli was able to find the dang box, with
the Princess bib in it. Holli came back down stairs holding the bib. I
also noticed her whispering something to mom, while she was giggling and
handing mom a large bag that she also found. Mom opened the bag up to
look inside. That's when I heard mom said, wow this is great sweety! I
know we can definitely use almost all of this.
I looked over, and to my surprise Holli opened the bag, and started
taking some things out that she found. OH NO! what else can go wrong now.
It seems not only did Holli find the bib, but she also found all of her
other things that had a Princess on it. She had the pink silverware set
that had Princess written on the fork & spoon handles. She also found the
princess plate, & cereal bowl. Sure enough, all the items were in pink &
white, and had Princess on them. She had even found her old Princess baby
doll nightgown set, blanket sheet and pillow case. I knew I was in
trouble now.
Mom thought this was so great saying, wow we have the whole set for our
little princess to use. She washed all of the dishes & silverware in the
sink really quick. She told Holli to set my place at the table. Make sure
little Jilly has all of her favorite princess items. Holli was all
giggles over this.
Me, I was thinking, "Just what a guy really wants is a pink princess
plate, fork & spoon set to eat from"?
I knew then that the next couple of weeks were going to be hell.
