You wake up from another of those weird dreams. You don't remember every detail, as usual, but you do remember that once again strange scenes and voices have been entering your dreams, and it all seems so real, or should you say unreal?
As for the scenes, there are always two kinds of scenes. One seems to always be a scene from human history, like Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire. The other kind of scene seems to be from a very different place, some highly advanced civilization, much more advanced than our current human civilization. Either this part of your dream is some futuristic version of Earth, or it is another planet, like taken straight out of a sci-fi film.
You wonder if these are scenes you remember from films or documentaries that you have watched, but you don't think that's the case. First off, you are certain the scenes from your dreams are not from any film you have ever watched. They feel so much more real, like a personal memory. You feel like you were actually there, and were a part of the events... like the events are seen through your own eyes. You can hear, smell and feel the world around you as the events unfold.
At first, you remembered very little of these dreams, but as they have appeared more frequently, you start remembering more and more details of the dreams. These historic events from your dreams now feels like real memories in your mind. You feel like you were actually there, much like a fond childhood memory.
Then there is the voice, if you can call it that. Because it is not like that of the voice of a person talking to you, but more like a voice inside your head, speaking to you directly inside your mind. It is like somebody is speaking to you telepathically, and you hear their voice inside your own mind. At first you didn't understand a word. You heard the voice in your head during your dreams, but the words were of some unknown language. But each time you had the dream, the words seemed more familiar, and eventually you felt like your brain was starting to make sense of the word.
As you sit up in your bed you realize that this time, for the first time... you actually understood the words. Your head is foggy, as usual, when waking up from the dream, but you know that this time was different. You try to clear your mind and remember the words. You realize now that it is a female voice, and the image you create in your head as you listen to the voice is that of a young and attractive woman (somewhat sexy), probably close to your own age.
"You understand me now, don't you?... Yes. I can feel the clouds in your mind have lifted, and you now understand my words. Good. I speak to you from a planet circling around a star, much like the one you call Sun, in a galaxy so far away from yours that your civilization have yet to discover its existence. But all that doesn't really matter. We have been watching your planet for millions of years, and you can say we are your creators, and although we do not consider us self gods, your people would probably call us just that. Yes, we created Man and Woman in our own image, and we gave you the gift of intelligence. Ever since, we have watched your civilization unfold from afar, and secretly guided your civilizations great leaders in defining moments of your history. I am certain that you have seen this in your dreams lately, yes?"
The voice stops as if waiting for your response, but as you are asleep the voice goes on after a short pause.
"You may wonder why I am contacting you.... We feel that the time may have come for humanity on your planet to move on to the next level. We have seen worrying signs lately that many human beings on earth have let go of the control they have over their own body and mind. You will probably agree with me that too many people on your planet have lost control of their own bodies, and this is neither beautiful or good for their health. A similar high number of people are losing control of their mental health in a similar manner. This is a worrying development, and we have decided that it is time for us to take action."
A few seconds of silence follows, and she continues.
"Therefore, we have selected a few individuals across your planet that we are contacting in this way. Yes, you are one of these selected individuals, and once I have found you ready, I will unlock a potential in your brain, that every human on earth has, but is unaware of. I am talking about powers beyond your imagination. If you prove yourself worthy, you can become an immortal being, just like us, with a mind that knows no boundaries, and can reach out throughout the universe. This transformation cannot be done in one go, and will not be easy. Therefore, I have unlocked a small part of the powers within your mind..."
She pauses again, letting the information settle in your mind, before she continues.
"Let me try to explain your new powers. Once you wake you will soon realize that you control your own body and mind in ways you never knew possible. You will literally be capable of shaping your own body as you see fit, using the power of your mind. Concentrate hard enough, and you will be able to change the color of your skin, hair and eyes as you see fit. Furthermore, you will be able to shape your own body as you see fit. You can change the shape, size and mass of any part of your body as you see fit. Oh, and you can stop your body from aging."
She lets this sink into your mind before continuing once more.
"Beyond that, you will soon start to discover mental powers that you never knew of before. With some practice you will find that you are capable of reading other peoples mind, speak to them telepathically, like I do to you now, and make changes to their mind. You will be able to alter their personality, mentality and whichever personal trait you see fit. A word of warning, though. You must not make changes to another persons mind, that causes harm to them or others. In other words, you can only change things for better, but never for worse. The aim of this should always be to help people who are struggling mentally or physically, much like I explained before. You can help them find the way."
Another pause, and then she continues.
"You may wonder what the point is... You have been identified, because you have the mindset to accept our ways. You are being given these powers so that you can help others find the way. Go out and spread your love, and make other people happy, so they too can spread the love. While over time your peoples religions have claimed that sex and carnal lust is a sin, I know that you are not a religious man, and I know that you have lust in you. And I know that you are not afraid to admit it. Wake now, my friend, and remember my words."
You open your eyes, and sit up in your bed. Suddenly, you remember the whole dream. You wonder to yourself if you are going crazy, but then shake it off and head for the shower.
