It wasn't exactly the job I envisioned, but I was working, and I was
making what seemed like a lot of money. It was the fact that I work as a
hotel maid, which was way out of my experience. I saw the ad, and being
totally broke, I applied for the job, thinking that maybe they could use
a boy cleaner rather than a maid. But that did not happen. Grace, the
woman I work for insisted that ALL of her girls be properly dressed in
the usual powder blue dresses and white sneakers with their hair off the
collar. Most girls wore their hair in a pony tail. Mine wasn't quite that
long. Grace told me the requirements and suggested that I could have the
job as long as I wore the uniform and was willing to do the work. With
almost no choice, I accepted and she gave me three dresses to wear.
"I'll expect to see you here in the morning at eight, wearing the dress.
You may wear cosmetics if it makes you feel better, just don't look like
a whore."
It was a sad reminder of my status, yet I had to do it. My mom and I are
barely hanging on as it is, so any money coming in would help a lot. Mom
saw the dresses and asked, so I told her the deal, how much I would make
and what I would have to do to earn it. I did not have to tell her why I
was doing it because she already knew why.
"You can't wear your own underwear, maybe we can find some inexpensive
panties and at least one bra for you to wear. At the very least you'll
look better, maybe even like a girl. I'll go check."
The next morning mom helped me get ready, starting with those very cheap
panties. Plain white, and cotton. The cheap bra fit me okay, and she
padded it out with some small foam pads. Then came the pantyhose, dress,
and sneakers before she helped me with a modest amount of makeup. She
called me Gretchen as she handed me a purse and wished me luck. Grace
didn't even flinch when she saw me, merely assigning me a series of rooms
to clean and a door card. I picked up a cart and headed out for my new
job. The dress wasn't so bad and I quickly forgot about it as I went
about my tasks. At lunch Grace gave me a name badge.
Day after day I cleaned the rooms and developed a sort of a routine. One
room was a total mess, and as I began cleaning the room I saw two hundred
dollar bills on the dresser! But Grace had told me that many people leave
tips for the maids, and any money that was left in any of my rooms was
mine! That money almost doubled my wages! About a week later, when I was
cleaning a room I found a pair of absolutely perfect breast forms, still
in the box! They looked very real, and since I could use them, I quickly
put them in my bra. The feeling was ecstatic! They felt right, looked
perfect and moved correctly. I was thrilled to get rid of the foam pads.
That night mom found the right glue to use at the drug store and attached

Day by day I was becoming more girl than boy, and with the addition of
the breast forms and a newly bought padded pantybrief, I also had the
shape, which made my dresses fit much better, and my growing proficiency
with makeup further hid my true identity. At home I started to wear
skirts and blouses and girls jeans because, well, I have boobs, a full B
cup. With my job mom and I had finally caught up on our bills and even
had a little left over, so I was buying a few new clothes at the thrift
shop nearby. I also became friends with Rosie, another maid, and we hung
out once in a while. Her brother was having a huge birthday get together
and she asked me to come. How could I say no?
I went to the thrift shop to find a party dress, and was rewarded with a
pale blue sheath dress that fit me just right. I also bought a pair of
white shoes and some modest bits of white jewelry. By the time I got home
I was very excited about going somewhere other than work or home and mom
knew it. She told me she was going to do my hair for me, and had me sit
at the kitchen table. By the time I was ready to leave for the party my
hair was wavy all over, a rich brunette, and looked perfect to me. I did
my makeup carefully, using eyeliner and shadow, a red lipstick, and some
perfume. Adding the earrings, necklace and bracelet, I stepped into my
heels and walked out of my room, ready to have fun at the party.
This party would be my first outing in a very long time let alone as a
girl, and at my age, 19, that is pitiful. But I was eager and left the
house for the short drive to Rosies house. Once there I was greeted by a
huge guy who took me by the hand and led me into the house. I saw Rosie
and smiled.
"I see you met my brother! That's his wife Carol is over there, but I
have someone I want you to meet. He works with my brother and is really
cute, and I don't want you to feel left out! Come on. I'll introduce you.
He was almost as big as her brother, with a wonderful smile and warm
face.
"Stanley, this is Gretchen. You treat her right or I'll be very angry!"
"Can't have that can we?" He took my hand. "Let's sit over there in the
shade." Once seated... "Rose has been telling me about you for a while
now. She simply hates the idea that the two of us are both unattached, so
she arranged this meeting. I hope you're not angry."
"No. I'm not angry. In fact, this is my first outing in a very long time.
I'm just happy to be here!"
"I'm glad that you're here with me! Want a drink?"
Stanley and I hit it off right away, and we danced, ate and had a drink
together. Then he asked me out. Just how could I say no?
He was the one and only boy that found me attractive enough to ask out,
yet I was well aware that under all that perfume and lipstick I was
wearing was a boy, what was left of him anyway. By then, about six months
after this all started, I was more a girl than a boy. Mom said that I had
all the mannerisms down pat, I walk, talk, and sound like a girl, I can
do my own hair and makeup, and better yet I found out that I like being a
girl. I did not think I would because this was all for a job, right? But
everything feminine pulled me into the realm of girls, and I discovered
that I really like it. Now I have Stanley. I could hardly wait to tell
mom.
"You do know what boys want from us, right? They are looking for mates to
have families and share their lives with. You can do one but not the
other honey. I know that you're excited about having a boy that likes you
and is asking you out, but you need to be careful, okay?"
"I know mother, it's just that he is so handsome, so big, and so gentle!
I'll be careful!"
"Right until he sticks his tongue down your throat, or in your ear or
someplace else thats fun. Just be a good girl Gretchen!"
Back at work my days seemed to fly by as I anxiously waited for the
weekend. Finally Saturday came, and I got ready for my first date very
carefully. A flippy kind of a short red skirt, a white blouse with a red
sweater. I wore my red flats and bright red lipstick. I never felt more
alive than right then. When Stan appeared at my front door I introduced
him to my mother, then we left. It was delightful as we had a dinner then
went to the movies, which is where he made his move. With his arm around
my shoulder he moved closer, then kissed me. Lightly at first, but with
passion after that. Then as we sat in the car in front of my house he
started kissing me again, making me feel tingly and vulnerable. He wanted
me to do other things but I broke away and ran in the house, uncertain if
I could stop if I stayed. He made me feel wanted. He gave me that very
last bit that I needed to be as complete a girl as I could manage.
The following week I went to see our doctor, who was surprised that I was
dressing as a girl, and I asked him if there was a way to make my boy
stuff look like girl stuff. He said there was, then did it for me. When I
left his office there was no sign that I was a boy in any way, and when I
start taking the pills he prescribed I will develop my own hips, buns,
and breasts. In the mean time I have become as close as possible to being
the girl I have come to want to be.
At work I liked my job and was good at it, which made Grace very happy.
About two weeks after the doctor adjusted my stuff I was promoted to be
Grace's assistant, with a raise that almost doubled my weekly salary! And
as a bonus, I did not have to wear the blue dresses! I started on the
following Monday, and on my desk were some flowers from Stanley! My
duties were to set the schedules for the girls around upcoming
conventions, and we had six scheduled. The girls would be making a lot of
money in tips. I really liked my new job and for the next few months
Grace and I managed to streamline our operations. Then Grace suddenly
retired when her husband was forced to retire from his job. Management
came in and promoted me to Graces job and allowed me to pick my own
replacement. Rosie was my only choice.
It did not take long for Rosie and I to get things back in shape, and
during this whole time Stan was away doing his time as a Navy reserve
officer. You could say that he and I were more than ready to see each
other again, so when he showed up in his uniform I almost knocked him
over when I hugged him. Rosie poked me and told me to leave, so Stan and
I left, but I had no idea where he was taking me. It was the fifth floor
of the hotel I work at!
"I have something for you Gretchen. Accept this from me."
He handed me a small box. Opening it I saw a ring! An engagement ring!"
"I think it's about time we quit hiding from it. We belong together and
you know it! Do we even have to talk about it or can we just tear our
clothes off and celebrate?"
I stepped out of my shoes and unzipped my dress and let it fall to the
floor in answer to his question. After that came a flurry of undressing
each other, groping and fondling, then I shoved him to the bed and made
sure he was ready before I took him. I had been thinking about it for a
long time, and I was ready to become his woman. Except that I was not
quite a true woman yet. Everything but my kitty was all me, but we worked
around that small deficiency and made love all afternoon. It was
spectacularly great. I found out that what the doctor did for me worked
in a way that that let Stanley and I enjoy the taste of love.
By the time we went out for dinner we knew that we would be forever
together
