That day has been the same as usual. Went to school, got bullishit, did some work, came home. Tomorrow will be the same as well as every day for the next couple of years. But between each day, there is one delight. Several hours of paradise known as sleep, I thought as I closed my eyes....
......and woke up in an unknown place. I was sitting on a chair and while their were no noticeable straps I could not move. In front of me sat a man on a chair that seems far more comfortable than mine. He was white with a black beard and hair, both very neatly combed and wearing an immaculate purple suit. He seemed to be waiting for me to say something. Of course all these details registered in later. At that moment I was having a panic attack of major proportions.
To calm myself I studied the room I was in. It looked like an ancient ruin,made up of huge blocks of stone covered with ivy. Torches were hung methodically and between them were ....branches? Some white liquid was dripping from them. Being an avid nerd on Greek mythology and specially Percy Jackson I was able to guess who this guy was, as ridiculous as it sounds.
Before I could open my mouth to venture the guess I realized something else. The man was wearing purple. Not Hypnos then.
"You are uhhhhh...... the god of sleep" I said.
The man nodded his head with satisfaction. "Somnus, yes. And you and I have much to talk about my boy."
