“Well, I could pick you up at six, if you tell me how to get there.” I told her, and I got out a piece of paper and a pencil to write her phone number.
She responded with, “555-1212, if you call me, I’ll let you know where to pick me up.”
We continue talking mostly about the factory where we work, and then the break was over and we went back to work. When the workday was over, I went home and watch the news, until it was time to pick her up. I called her, and she gave me the directions, as I wrote them down. And I went to pick her up. She was waiting on her porch, wearing a delicate dress and some flats. When she saw me pull up, she started walking towards my car, so I stayed in the car and waited for her to get in.
I took her to a friendly place, inexpensive but good food, and we sat down. The waitress took our orders, and Helena had to go to the restroom.
