“How are you doing, Tiger?” Jessica asked after greeting Kara and me with hugs and kisses.

“Shitty,” I said. “But I had a good talk with Bethany after Red called me.”

Jessica smiled, “And THAT is exactly why I had to let you take her away to Wisconsin for a weekend. Granted, I didn’t know what the circumstance would be, but I knew you’d need Bethany eventually. And you would need her in a way that could only happen if you two repaired your relationship. Really repaired it.”

“You are brilliant, future Doctor Adams!” I grinned.

“I am, aren’t I?” she smirked. “When are you going to go see Stephie?”

“I don’t know yet. I was thinking about calling her on Sunday, and figure it out from there. But you can be absolutely sure that I’m going to go to Georgia as soon as I can arrange things with Jason.”

“That’s an interesting way to put it,” Jessica said.

“I can’t come between them any more than Stephanie or Bethany or any other girl can come between the three of us. So Jason needs to be on board. I know him well enough that he’s not going to try to prevent me from seeing her, and he also won’t let her refuse to see me, if that was her inclination.”

“I see you’ve learned a bit about death and dying.”

“I know more about it than I want to,” I sighed. “And about near death, too. I don’t know how you doctors do it.”

“I’m not going to say that you get used to it, but you’re developing coping mechanisms. The key is not to use a destructive behavior to cope. Alcoholism, drug abuse, and serial infidelity are all responses to the pressure of being a doctor, with death being just one of the bigger causes of stress and depression.”

“Lovely,” I said.

“I told you that doctors had the highest rates of divorce and substance abuse. I think you’re starting to see why.”

“Yeah,” I sighed.

“What can we do for you, Tiger?”

“Just love me,” I sighed.

“That we can easily do!” Jessica said, taking my hand and leading me to the bedroom.

Kara followed us and my wives loved me like I needed to be loved. It didn’t take away the pain, but it made it more bearable.

December 14, 1986, Indianapolis, Indiana

“Happy Anniversary!” Jessica said as we raised our glasses.

“Happy Anniversary!” Kara and I replied.

Jessica was having her one glass of champagne that she’d said she would allow herself. We’d ordered a bottle of wine to go with dinner, but Kara and I would drink that together.

“We’ve made one year!” I chuckled. “What do you think? Sixty or seventy to go?”

“I’ll be 95!” Jessica gasped.

“And I’ll be 93, and Kara will be 92. Think anyone would pay for THAT video?” I chuckled.

“Ewww! That’s just gross!” Jessica laughed.

“So no sex for us when we’re nonagenarians?” I smirked.

“You’ll STILL be after fifteen-year-olds, you dirty old man!” Jessica teased.

“Somehow I think that might be seen as more than a bit creepy!” I said with a grin. “And, as of right now, I’m a dirty YOUNG man!”

“Is that all you think about, Tiger?”

“You’re the one who always has sex on the brain when we’re together, Babe!”

“Are you complaining?”

“No way! No man in his right mind would complain about my situation!”

“But we’ve already established that you aren’t in your right mind,” Jessica teased.

“All the better to pleasure you, my dear!” I said, trying to mimic Snidely Whiplash.

“You don’t have the mustache for that voice. And he didn’t have a beard.”

“You know, you’ve never said anything about the beard after I started growing it.”

“Why? It looks nice, you keep it trimmed, and it’s not scratchy. But wow, does it have a lot of red in it! From the photo album your sister showed me I know that your hair has gotten darker overall since you were younger. There’s a tinge of red in it, but nothing like that beard!”

“Should I grow it out fuller? Or do you like the close-cropped beard?”

“I don’t think you should go Grizzly Adams on us.”

“I agree, Snuggle Bear. It’s nice how it is. I actually like how it feels on the insides of my thighs!” Kara giggled.

“You are SO bad!” Jessica said to Kara.

“Oh, like YOU complain when he does that to you?”

Jessica smiled primly, “Our husband is quite expert at cunnilingus!”

“At what?” Kara asked.

“Sorry, that’s the technical term for eating pussy!” Jessica giggled. “Like fellatio for blowjobs.”

“Did you just use that word?” I chuckled. “In public, even?”

“What can I say? Kara’s rubbing off on me!”

“I like it when we rub against Steve!” Kara giggled. “That’s even better!”

“Perhaps we should save this conversation for later,” I said. “We haven’t even ordered yet!”

We had our wonderful Italian dinner at Iaria’s, the small, neighborhood restaurant that we frequented when we were in Indianapolis, including Italian ice for dessert. When we finished, we walked back to Jessica’s small apartment and quickly got into bed.

“Tomorrow night we’ll re-enact our wedding night,” Jessica said. “Tonight let’s just make love!”

And that’s what we did.

December 16, 1986, Indianapolis, Indiana

“What are we doing next weekend?” I asked as we ate breakfast.

“I think I’ll come up to Chicago. I know that I’m coming up on Wednesday for Christmas, and then you guys are coming back here with me, but I really, really prefer being in our house than in this apartment.”

“The king-size bed does make things a bit easier!” Kara giggled. “Last night was a bit cramped, but it worked out!”

“I’ll say,” Jessica sighed. “It was just like our wedding night, but without being nervous. And without Elyse putting a white sheet on the bed to prove my virginity!”

“But now, a year later, you totally get why she did that, right?” I asked.

“I do. It’s just part of your three-ring circus! The girls told me that they had a good laugh about it. And you didn’t tell me that Sofia saw you walk naked into the hall with the sheet!”

“I didn’t think it was important,” I said. “And it’s not like she hadn’t seen me naked before.”

“Did Alejandra give Len his walking papers?”

“Of course she did,” I said. “What an idiot! I just feel bad for Jay, because Leila won’t go out with him again because he and Len are best friends. But it’s not like either of those girls are lacking for male companionship.”

“That little Turkish Delight would like YOUR companionship, Tiger. And she has no compunctions about married men!”

“She was fun, Babe, but with her living in the house, it’s a bad idea, even if I was interested.”

“Oh, you’re interested. You’re just exercising self-control. Just like you do with Penny and that little flirt, Fawn!”

“Leave Fawn out of this,” I said. “That’s an innocent game that is going nowhere.”

“Effy will try again in the spring,” Kara smirked.

“She can try all she wants,” I said. “I am singularly uninterested.”

“That’s why she’s going to try,” Kara said. “She can’t believe anyone would say ‘no’ to her.”

“Well, then she’s in Michelle Bateman territory!” I said.

“Who?” Jessica asked.

I looked at Kara to let her know that she should tell the tale.

“A Milford cheerleader who had such a high opinion of her pussy that nobody got close to it, not even football players. Then, when Steve agreed to go to a turnabout dance with Tracey Jones, a plain, slightly pudgy girl instead of with Michelle who was smoking hot, it really bugged Michelle. She offered Steve anything and everything if he’d dump Tracey, including her virginity.”

“Wait! She’d give up her virginity to hurt this other girl?”

“Yes,” Kara said. “But as it turns out, Steve reports that Tracey was one of the best lays he ever had!”

“Kara!” I huffed.

“Oh stop, Snuggle Bear. Tracey wouldn’t object to me saying that! And she makes you look tame at this point! You got all her cherries, but only the conventional ones!”

I chuckled, “I suppose that’s true. She and Marty are into swapping and multiple partners in just about every configuration, including orgies. She wanted a threesome with me and Marty but I turned her down.”

“True, but not before you teased Melanie incessantly about possibly agreeing!”

“Melanie was easy to tease,” I said. “She had a seriously wild streak in High School, and Pete was too tame for her at that point. But that’s more or less gone now and all that’s left is the crazy French kisses that she gives me.”

“But after her suicide attempt, you took her to her Senior Prom. I thought you sent her back to Pete.”

“I did. That was part of her recovery, if you will. That was the last time she and I were together. She’s been with Pete ever since.”

“I’m curious about how that all came about,” Jessica said.

“After Jennifer and I figured out why Melanie tried to kill herself, I promised Melanie that I’d take her to her Prom once she recovered, as a way to encourage her, and to show her that I understood my part in the whole thing. I can’t go into the exact details of what happened, but suffice it to say that something I did and something I didn’t do, contributed to Melanie’s state of mind. And, looking back, should have provided me some clues about other things that happened much later.”

“You’re being a bit obtuse, Tiger.”

“I know. There are some confidences here that I just can’t reveal.”

“I know. We agreed that what was in the past was in the past.”

“You know, Babe, we don’t know all that much about your past. What deep dark secrets are you hiding from us?” I asked with a grin.

Jessica looked at me and I realized immediately that she did have something in her past that she hadn’t told us about. Or at least hadn’t told me. I didn’t know if she told Kara things that she didn’t tell me. That idea didn’t bother me, since I was sure that there were things girls needed to talk about privately, and I’d had plenty of private conversations with both of my wives, as well as with others.

“There isn’t enough time to tell you now, because I have to leave for work in ten minutes. I’ll tell you next weekend.”

“OK,” I agreed.

While Jessica dressed for work, Kara and I did the dishes, and cleaned up the kitchen. The three of us hugged and exchanged kisses, and Jessica left for the clinic. Kara and I packed up our things, locked up the apartment and walked to my car for the drive back to Chicago.

“Do you have any idea what she’s going to tell us?” I asked.

Kara shook her head, “No. I have no clue. But I wouldn’t worry too much about it. It can’t have been too bad, given everything we know about her.”

“I suppose not,” I said.

December 16, 1986, Chicago, Illinois

“What did I miss this morning?” I asked Julia when I got to the office after lunch.

“Cindi decided to hire Barbara after she talked to your sister and Charlie.”

I nodded, “Good. That was the right choice. When does she start?”

“January 5th. It’s just easier that way. Your sister signed the offer letter this morning. I did need to check your schedule for interviewing Heather Masterson, the programmer from the Quad Cities. Are you here the rest of the week?”

“I am. Did you have a day in mind?”

“Friday afternoon works best for her.”

“Then set that up, assuming Dave is going to be here.”

“He is. He won’t go back up to Waukesha until after the 1st. We have the PO, by the way. It arrived this morning.”

“Excellent. I see that Tasha is here. Penny will be here for two weeks starting Monday, minus the holidays, of course. Who’s covering the support line on the 26th?”

“Charlie offered to do it. She said that she’s not going home for Christmas.”

“Elyse mentioned that the other day so I knew that Charlie would be around for Christmas dinner. I don’t expect many calls, so she’ll be able to get some programming done. She’s most likely going to be the only one here.”

“She knows. She’s OK with that. I told Kaitlin that she could come in if she wanted to, but that it wasn’t necessary.”

“She might, because she’ll get paid for the day if she does,” I said. “Anything else?”

“Elyse had something for you. She needs to assign employee numbers because we’re growing and the payroll module for the accounting software requires it.”

I chuckled, “I’ll take zero!”

“Zero?”

“Supposedly, Steve Jobs had a fit when Steve Wozniak was given employee number one. He demanded to be zero.”

“Even YOUR ego isn’t that big,” Julia said.

“I’m kidding! I’m kidding! Honestly, just assign them in the order people were hired. Me, Dave, you, Cindi, Penny, Mario, and so on. That way there’s no arguments.”

“What about the ones we let go?”

“I think Elyse has to keep records on them for some time, so just put them in the sequence. I hate to say it, but it’s going to happen again. Any OTHER life-changing decisions that I need to make? Or can I get back to work, boss?”

Julia laughed, “Go on. I’m working on the design for the bidding software that Charlie is going to write. Dave is up to his eyeballs in some issue with the medical software, Tasha is doing some testing for him, and Charlie is handling a change request from Purina.”

“Good. Idle hands are the devil’s workshop!”

“You sure must have had a lot of idle time, then!” she smirked.

I laughed and went to my office to get to work. I finished just after 5:00pm, and as soon as I got home, Kara and I walked across the backyard to the coach house.

“Happy Birthday, Jen!” I said as we walked in.

“Happy Birf’day, Mama!” Jesse said.

“He’s been saying that every time someone wishes Jenny that,” Josie said.

“Thanks,” Jennifer said, giving me a hug and rare soft kiss on the lips.

“None of that stuff you two!” Josie teased.

“Mama kiss Dada!” Jesse gurgled.

“Watch it buster! Mama and Dada do NOT kiss like Mama and Mama!” Josie said mirthfully.

“Francesca kiss Jesse!” he giggled.

“You wish, you little turkey!” Josie said. “She’s not here. Maybe we’ll have her here for your birthday.”

“Yes! Birf’day! Kiss!” he affirmed.

“When did THIS start?” Kara asked with a laugh.

“Just today. I kissed Jenny and wished her, well, you know, and he just went to town on kissing and Francesca and celebrations of a certain day.”

“Birf’day!” Jesse said.

“OK. I give up!” Josie said. “This is your fault, Steve. You, you, MAN!”

Everyone laughed.

“What do you expect?” Jennifer asked. “He’s a guy! I mean, in case you hadn’t noticed.”

“Oh, I noticed. He’s just a little too smart for his own good!”

“Kind of like his dad?” Kara teased.

“Dada!” Jesse said. “Read Fox Socks!”

“Is it OK, Jen? Do I have enough time before dinner?”

“Ask your sister. She’s in there cooking.”

I walked into the kitchen.

“Hey, Squirt!” I said, kissing her on the cheek.

“Oooh! Does that mean the same thing as when Penny kisses you?” she whispered.

“Even if it does, it’s going exactly nowhere, and you know it!” I whispered back, giving her shoulder a quick squeeze. “How long until dinner?”

“Twenty minutes. Go read to your son. I heard his demand.”

“Thanks!” I said.

I gathered up Jesse and went to sit on the couch with him. I opened Fox in Socks and started reading. He giggled at several places, but his loudest and longest laughs were always for Luke Luck and his duck, and the line following that - I can’t blab such blibber blubber! My tongue isn’t made of rubber. We finished the book and still had a few minutes left, so I picked up Are You My Mother and read that to him, getting the usual laugh when we came to the Snort, which was a giant steam shovel.

Peaches

Valerie was swinging away in her back yard on a swing her father made out of a car tire. Each breeze that came from swinging made her long golden hair fly everywhere. She wore her short little blue jean shorts and a whitetank top. She wore two small braids on each side of her face to keep her long hair from getting in her eyes. She was glad it was finally summertime. That meant no school, no homework, and no more waking up early. It was extremely hot that summer day. It was still early in...

I am a 40 year old typical soccer mom who leads a pretty conventional  life.  My stories are based on my fantasies.  Most deal with the humiliation of older women by younger women, in the style of my favorite authors such as Cowgirl, Couture, Phoenix Arrow and Jane Parks.   I hope you enjoy this story.  It?s dedicated to my favorite Puerto Rican bitch Miss Peaches.  I?m working on further chapters, and I?d enjoy any constructive criticism.  Contact me at [email protected] a story...

Hey Peaches

HEY, PEACHES by Throne "Hey, Peanut!" How I dreaded to hear my wife's boyfriend, Frank, call me. He's big and rough and loves to see me feminized and cuckolded. My wife Tyra takes care of the former and he's always grabbing and pawing her, which leads to lots of the latter. In the year since they met my life has changed drastically and it doesn't look like anything can reverse that. When he hollers I'm quick to respond. I set aside his work boots, which I had been cleaning,...

Peaches

Sitting absentmindedly stroking my shoulder length blond hair, I am sitting at my keyboard, staring blankly at my screen, as I have been since 9:00 this morning. My body is not in that bad shape for a woman my age, although I admit I could lose a few pounds. But my husband certainly appreciates my D-Cup breasts, which I admit have begun to sag a bit, and I know my ass isn't what it was when I was 19. I look at myself in the mirror, blushing instantly at what I see. I'm sitting here dressed in...

It is a record-breaking 37ºC. The windows are open and the shades are shut. All we can do is sit and bear it till the heat breaks. I lay on the floor taking in the small fan that’s working overtime. The spinning blades of the other fans catch the sun as it sneaks through the cracks of the blinds. Lifting my hand to the haze, I feel its heat as my fingers walk through the swirling dust, breaking their patterns.“These fans aren't working!” “They seem like they’re workin’.” “I think you should...

When Brody left the house after they loaded the pickup with produce, his daddy was already wiping the sweat from his face. "You got the cooler, Brody Boy? This here's an 80-80 mornin' a'ready." "'s on the porch, Pa. I'm jist fixin' to get 'er in the truck." The old man nodded and continued wiping his face, idly waving his broad-brimmed hat with his other hand to cool down the already darkened sweat band. Brody climbed the porch steps to retrieve the cooler and glanced at the fancy...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 78 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part II

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

“Girl, you look fantastic,” I said in earnest. In fact she did. Annabelle was always overly concerned about her weight. No matter how often she went to the gym, she pretty much remained the same size. From the waist up, she was thin; but she couldn’t seem to reduce her hips. It would have made for an hourglass figure but for her lack of breasts. To emphasize her bust, Annabelle always wore a pushup bra. Truth be told, neither of us went to the gym that often. I am a little slimmer, but not...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 57 Land of the Rising Sun Part III

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

I can’t think of anything else.” “I’ll see you in five weeks,” Elyse said, giving me a quick hug. “Did you see they rioted in Vancouver last night because they lost the Stanley Cup?” I chuckled, “Only Canadians would riot when they LOSE the Cup! I did see that on the front page of the Trib. Are we ready?” “Michelle and...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 5 Housemates

August 1981, Chicago, Illinois On Sunday morning, I made my usual call to Karin. I described everything in the apartment and all the things I’d done during the week, including the reception. Both of us would start school in a week and we were both looking forward to it. When we finished talking, I went out for my run, showered, and ate breakfast. I made some tea, started a load of laundry, and then turned on the stereo. I put on an REO Speedwagon album and then relaxed on the couch with the...

August 21, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Unbelievable,” I said when I read the headline from the Chicago Tribune. “It says here that Solidarity activist Tadeusz Mazowiecki was nominated to be Prime Minister of Poland.” I hadn’t had a chance to read the paper on Sunday because it hadn’t been delivered before we left for the race track in Michigan. “So now what?” Kara asked. “We’re in totally uncharted territory. A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 36 My Lifes Journey

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. I read, wrote some longhand journal entries, ate, and generally relaxed while the plane zipped over the Atlantic. I’d come home, taken a sauna, eaten a light meal, and gone straight to bed, not bothering to check messages, look at the mail that...

June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

After her mom left for work, Kara gave me a fierce kiss. “Thanks for staying in and cooking breakfast for us,” Kara said. “I hope that doesn’t cause you trouble with Stephanie, with you breaking your normal routine.” “Don’t worry about it,” I said, kissing her back. “We got in a bit later than I expected, and she’ll...

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois After Rosie left, I stripped the sheets from my bed, as well as the cover of the duvet, and tossed everything into the washing machine. March 25, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “What time do I need to have you home?” “8:00pm will be fine,” Misty replied. “My parents are in Normal visiting my brother at Illinois State. They aren’t supposed to be home before 10:00pm.” Misty and I were in my car on the way to the NIKA apartment which, fortunately, was not being used. A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 7 Setting the Course of My Life

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

“So, how should we do these Stone’s songs?” Phil asked at our rehearsal session. “I think we all know the music, we just need to come up with a pretty awesome arrangement; we don’t want to sound like yet another cheap cover band.” “I had some ideas, if it’s okay for me to make some suggestions,” Allison said. “Of course it is,” Phil said. “Everyone can have a say, there’s no rule that says you can’t participate in the discussion.” “Thanks, Phil, I guess being the newest here, I’m a bit...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 77 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part I

May 11, 1992, Chicago, Illinois Monday was turning out to be a LONG day. After my run and talk with Gina, and my talk with Elyse, I had a full day at the office scheduled. First was our leadership meeting in the morning, and then I had status meetings with each team. At lunch I’d gone to see Siobhán and explained that I was going to break off the sexual relationship, but that I wanted to remain friends. She was disappointed, but admitted that Thursday would have been the last time, since she...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 23 So Now You Turn Back Into Diana Prince

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 34 Old Routines and New Ideas

September 1982, Chicago, Illinois The weekend was quiet and besides homework, I worked on the program changes for Frank, called Karin, Tatyana, and Kara, and hung out with my usual study group. Monday was refreshingly normal. On Tuesday morning, I handed Katy my completed intake form. She put it in an envelope and stuck it in her bag. She said she’d let me know soon about the interview. On Tuesday afternoon, after having lunch with Stephie, I made my rounds and then I headed over to Sigma...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 35 An Interview and Some New Friends

October 1982, Chicago, Illinois The drive back to Chicago was as uneventful as usual, and I arrived at the apartment just before 6:00pm. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 52 Lifestyle Choices

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. The last time had been in the shower where we’d ostensibly gone to clean up afterwards, but instead I ended up taking her from behind as she leaned against the wall of the shower. “I think I’ll have you again, Steve Adams,” she...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

September 7, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “That went reasonably well,” Michelle said when her parents drove off. “There were a few times I thought my expression would give away something I shouldn’t. You were messing with me, weren’t you?” She grabbed both my hands and smiled, “I was telling the truth, in my own way. Thank you!” She leaned forward and kissed my cheek. “So, what’s left?” I asked. “To visit UofC tomorrow and formally withdraw from classes. To spend some time with you and your...

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. I was alternating between the history and culture book and the Communist Party book, decided on the history and culture book for this time. I didn’t get much reading done because I was thinking about Tatyana, which led me to...

January 23, 1996, Chicago, Illinois “Father, bless!” I said, greeting Father Basil with upturned palms. “Bless you, Stephen,” he said as I kissed his hand. The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. We placed our food orders right away and he left to put them in with the kitchen. “I’m not quite sure how to address this, so I’m just going to ask you bluntly. Are you the father of Michelle’s baby?” I shook my...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 8 NIKAChapter 68 The Rules

June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

December 5, 2000, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota “I had a good time last night,” I said. “I was surprised you invited a friend!” Mary laughed as we walked into the exam room, “Naomi had a good time as well. You know what a Resident’s life is like.” I nodded, “No social life.” “Exactly. You guys seemed to hit it off pretty well.” “Yes, but I’m not here for that!” “You’re everywhere for that, and you know it!” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s just say that you hit the sweet spot -...

A WellLived Life Book 3 PiaChapter 25 The Puzzle and the Cat Part II

March 1980, Hovås/Göteborg, Sweden I woke early as usual, but just enjoyed being in bed with Katt. When she woke, she hopped out of bed and pulled a robe out of her closet and handed it to me. “There’s a spare toothbrush in the bathroom. Go have your shower, then we’ll have breakfast after I have my shower.” I quickly showered and brushed my teeth, and went back to Katt’s room. She went to shower and came back a few minutes later. She dressed, and I got a very good look at her sexy body...

I spent most of my time acting as a manservant to Sensei Robert and Sensei Hiro.” “He who will lead, must first serve,” I said. “Someday, I’m going to send you to Sensei Hiro, should he live long enough. October 29, 2000, Chicago, Illinois Birgit followed me as far as the stairs, then scooted upstairs when I went to the front door and opened it. “Hi!” Sophie said. “Hi!” I replied and held the door open so she could come into the house. I nodded to one of the wingback chairs, she sat down in one, and I sat down in the other. “Is something wrong?” she...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 61 Anala Part II

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...

July 1982, Milford, Ohio On Tuesday morning, I kissed Kara goodbye and headed to my parents’ house for my usual morning routine with my little sister. She was happy that I could spend the morning with her and asked to take a walk, so we weren’t in the house with my mom. “Let me guess — this walk will end in the clearing,” I said with a smile. “Yes,” she said, taking my hand as we walked down Overlook towards Klondyke. March 13, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “Hi, Steve!” Ailea said when she opened the door. “Hi,” I replied, accepting the offered hug. There was no touching of lips, just of cheeks, and I wondered if I’d misread her intentions at her birthday lunch, or if, perhaps, she detected my reluctance to return the offered affection. “Lunch is ready, so go ahead and sit. I’ll bring it in from the kitchen.” I went to the low table, sat down, and a minute later, Ailea brought miso soup and sushi, our usual...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 72 An Explosive Discovery

April 3, 1997, Dallas, Texas “Remember what I said about drinking too much,” I said, as I poured bourbon into three cups. We’d stopped at a liquor store, bought a bottle of Blanton’s, and then returned to the small suite I’d reserved at the Westin. Deborah’s room was down the hall, and Krissy’s was two floors below. Krissy’s comment had caught me a bit off guard, but I hadn’t reacted visibly. I didn’t know her quite well enough to know if she’d been teasing with Deborah, so I was being...

September 1, 1987, Chicago, Illinois “I heard that you have some kind of plan to help Ed,” I said to Connie. “There’s no plan,” she replied. “A witness who saw the shopkeeper alive after Ed left came forward.” That sounded convenient, and I wondered if the witness was real or someone that Anthony had put forward to solve the problem. Certainly, the videotape was real, because I couldn’t imagine how Anthony could have faked that, but the witness? Who knew? “So is he being released? Or is...

August 17, 1997, Chicago, Illinois We finished lunch and Marissa and the younger kids went to play, but Natalie sat with the adults to talk, with coffee, tea, or soft drinks. The Sarcus were very comfortable, but the Heaths were still struggling. But, vitally, they hadn’t left and hadn’t insisted Natalie leave the group. “Can you explain how you developed this attitude and approach?” Chris asked. July 1979 — Falkenberg, Sweden On Friday, when I got back from my run, Pam was in her bra and panties again. I whistled at her, she giggled, then finished dressing. I showered, and we went to breakfast and finished up our last day. Once class was done, we were pretty much free. On Saturday, we’d have several optional activities and then on Sunday we’d head back to our host families. After dinner on Friday, I took Pam’s hand and we walked towards the river. November 8, 1993, Chicago, Illinois A dark fog swirled before my eyes as I tried to take stock. My head hurt, badly. I felt something on my face and realized, dimly, it was an oxygen mask. My right hand was uncomfortable and I recognized the feeling of an IV and pulse-oximeter. My left arm ached fiercely. On my chest I felt the pads and wires of an EKG. I didn’t feel anything else wrong as I continued taking inventory. I tried to open my eyes, but the fog didn’t clear. I tried to speak, but...

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois In the morning Anala and I ran as we had the previous time, then showered together, carefully washing each other’s bodies in an intimate but non-sexual way. After our shower we went to the kitchen and I made breakfast and we sat down to eat. “Steve, may I make a suggestion?” she asked. “Sure.” “Broaden your circle of friends.
