July 1980, Over the North Atlantic

We reached cruising altitude, and I settled back to read my book. Pam raised the armrest between us, snuggled close to me and read as well. The cabin crew offered drinks, and I had my first Coke in a year! Meal service began about an hour and a half into the flight. After the cabin crew picked up the trays and offered drinks again, they passed once more, offering headsets for the movie. Trevor and Maria took them, but Pam and I didn’t, instead we turned on our reading lights.

Once the movie started, Pam went to use the lavatory. When she came back, she got a couple of blankets and pillows from the storage bin above our heads and sat back down.

“Want to join the club?” she whispered.

“What club?” I asked quietly.

“The ‘Mile-High Club’, silly!” she giggled.

“What the heck is that?” I asked.

“Are you serious? You don’t know?” she asked incredulously.

“I have no clue.”

“Oh my God!” she giggled. “ I can’t believe you don’t know! It’s having sex on a plane in flight!”

“You’re serious?” I asked.

She took my hand and put it under her dress. She had taken off her panties! I guessed she was serious!

“What do you think?” she smirked.

“So, how can we do this?”

“Well, the lavatory is the usual place, but I think that’s too dirty. We can do it here, quietly, during the movie.”

She reached up and turned off our reading lights and spread the blankets over us. It was fairly dark in the plane with the cabin lights off and the shades on the windows drawn, so we might just get away with it. Pam reached over and carefully unbuckled my belt, and unbuttoned and unzipped my jeans. I helped her push them down a bit, and she started gently stroking me.

When she had me hard, she moved to sit on my lap, her back to my chest. She had lifted up her skirt, and I felt her labia on my dick. She shifted a bit and moved so that she could rub my dick against her pussy and slide down on it, fully embedding my dick in her steaming tunnel, sighing softly as she settled.

I hoped that it would look like she was just sitting on my lap to the cabin crew if they walked by, but they were all sitting in the galley talking, so maybe they wouldn’t even notice. I wondered if Maria would notice, but she simply kept watching the movie.

I put my arms around Pam and moved one hand to the buttons on her dress, unbuttoning a couple of them and pushing my hand inside. I was thrilled to find she wasn’t wearing a bra, either! I began tweaking her nipple and then moved my other hand between her legs and began rubbing her clit gently. For her part, Pam was squeezing her muscles to stimulate me, though nothing compared to what Katt could do.

The thrill of doing this on a plane with hundreds of other people around and a serious risk of being caught provided plenty of stimulation, so I wasn’t worried about being able to cum. I was worried about Pam, though, because she did groan, and often loudly, when she had her orgasms.

“Can you be quiet when you cum?” I whispered in her ear.

“I’ll just cover my mouth!”

I figured it was better to complete this quickly, so I began rubbing her clit more firmly and tweaking her nipple harder. I gently nipped her neck, and I felt her pussy tighten around me. Pam’s hand went to her mouth, and she stifled a groan as I felt her spasm around my dick. That was enough to set me off, and I sprayed jets of cum into her pussy. I was thankful for the air jets that seemed to keep the smell from being too strong!

Pam reached over to her seat and produced a pair of washcloths from under the blanket. She lifted herself off and stuck one between her legs and the other over my dick, then moved into the seat next to me, still under the blanket. I wiped my dick as best I could, then pulled up my jeans, buttoned and zipped them and buckled my belt. I got up and went to the lavatory.

I wet the washcloth and finished cleaning myself and went back to our seats. Pam got up and did the same thing and sat next to me.

“I had to put a pad in my panties because I’m going to drip!” she giggled.

“Wait! Pam? Dripping? Oh my God! We didn’t use a rubber!” I whispered in horror.

“My period is supposed to start today. It’s really, really low risk.”

“That’s crazy!” I hissed.

“Yeah, but it was fun. And now we’re members of the club!”

“But you could get pregnant!” I whispered.

“I don’t think so. I know my body really well. I’m sure my period will start either late this afternoon or tonight. I’m regular as clockwork.”

“You have to call me and let me know! I’m going to be a nervous wreck!”

“Stop worrying! It felt really good, didn’t it?”

“Oh God, yes! Your pussy felt fantastic! But please don’t do that to me again!”

“I’m sorry, but don’t worry! It will be fine.”

She snuggled close to me and fell asleep. I read until the lights were turned on for the meal that was served a couple of hours before landing. We ate and the cabin crew collected the trays as we started our descent into Detroit. When the wheels touched down, there was spontaneous applause from the passengers, though I didn’t participate. I was actually dreading the next few hours when I’d have to be with my mom.

We taxied to the gate, and the pilot turned off the seat belt sign. Trevor and Maria got up immediately, but Pam and I remained sitting, allowing the others to push and shove through the narrow aisles. We were among the last off the plane and discovered that waiting hadn’t slowed us down at all, because everyone else was standing at the baggage carousel waiting for their luggage.

July 1980, Detroit, Michigan

The four of us collected our luggage and moved towards the Customs and Immigration lines. We stopped in advance so we could say our goodbyes before meeting our parents, or in Maria’s case, catching her connecting flight to San Diego. Trevor and I shook hands and Maria and I had a brief hug, and Pam hugged both of them. Pam then turned to me. I pulled her into an embrace. We exchanged a quick, soft kiss.

“I’m going to miss you!” she said. “Let’s keep in touch. Call or write sometime?”

“Of course! But I expect to hear from you tomorrow!”

“I promise I’ll call you. I had a lot of fun with you; I wouldn’t trade it for anything!”

“I had a lot of fun with you too! It certainly made Falkenberg and Abisko much more enjoyable!”

“Remember what I said; I want to get together and screw sometime!”

“I remember!” I chuckled. “But we need to use protection every single time.”

“I know. Sorry.”

We exchanged a deep kiss and then got into line for Immigration and Customs. A couple of kids were pulled aside for customs checks, but none of the four of us had any issues and we zoomed through the lines. Trevor joked that they had probably been in the Netherlands and the Customs guys were checking for pot. I told him it wouldn’t surprise me.

I said goodbye to Pam and walked through the doors to the arrival area, pushing my luggage on a cart. I saw Dad and Mom and headed towards them. Dad looked happy to see me, but Mom had a very sour look on her face. Dad shook my hand and welcomed me home.

“So, the Prodigal Son returns,” my mom said with a sneer.

“Nice to see you again, too,” I said frostily.

“Judy!” my dad warned.

It was going to be a long ride home.

I pushed my cart outside and was happy when Dad asked Mom to go with him to get the car. That made it clear to me that she really was loaded for bear and Dad was doing his best to prevent a full-scale war from breaking out before we even got in the car. I believed he knew it was inevitable, though I hadn’t told him much about my year in Sweden, I had told him that YFU was trying to fix what Mom did. I had no idea what he might have assumed from that or what he might have said to Mom.

From Mom’s reaction, I couldn’t tell for sure, but if she called me the Prodigal Son, she might think she was successful, and I was coming back repentant. Of course, knowing my mom, she probably only barely understood the story and was referring to the Prodigal’s immoral lifestyle before he came back without thinking about repentance. That was something that had always amused me. I wasn’t particularly religious, but I knew the stories and the theology far better than Mom did.

They returned with the car and I put my bags into the trunk. I got into the back seat and settled in for what I expected to be a fairly ugly conversation on the way home. It was going to happen and it might as well be now. Tomorrow I was going to Jennifer’s and nothing was going to prevent me from staying the night at her house.

“How was your flight?” dad asked.

“Uneventful,” I said.

Well, except for joining the ‘Mile-High Club’ and having unprotected sex! But I decided I wasn’t going to bait Mom. She didn’t need baiting, and I needed Dad on my side.

“Did you have a good year, Son?”

“I did, dad. The trip to Berlin, the ski trip to Austria, and meeting the King of Sweden were all pretty cool. The Berlin trip was interesting because of a minor navigation error.”

I explained what had happened.

“I can’t imagine it was fun looking down the business end of a machine-gun!” Dad declared.

“No, it wasn’t,” I confirmed. “It was so funny when the American soldier just waved us on without even looking up from his novel!”

“I guess after the East Germans were done with you, he didn’t think you were a threat.”

“Probably true,” I chuckled.

“Did you make a lot of friends?”

“I did. Quite a few, actually, and a couple of very, very good ones.”

“How was school?”

“Mostly like here. Class, homework, tests. It was interesting being in an English class as a foreign language. Of course, because they use British English, it was a foreign language!”

“So how is your Swedish?”

“Fluent,” I said. “By December I was speaking only Swedish. Three girls in my class challenged me to do that and helped me a lot, along with the Swedish for Immigrants class that YFU, the Jonssons and the school worked to arrange.”

“That quickly? That’s great!”

Things were quiet for a while, then dad asked, “How did things work out with the Anderssons?”

“Pretty much perfectly. I actually stayed with them three times. Once the day I arrived, then in December when YFU had us in Stockholm to meet the king, and then on the way back from our visit to Abisko a few weeks ago. YFU was very accommodating with allowing me special travel plans.”

“That was good of them. How were things with the first family you stayed with?”

“Great. Rolf gave me a lifetime pass to a disco that he bought and invited me to visit anytime. I actually saw them quite often.”

“You traveled to see them?”

“Well, I traveled to Helsingborg about once a month because that’s where my main girlfriend lived.”

“What?!” Mom asked, clearly surprised.

“You heard me,” I said. “I traveled to Helsingborg about once a month to see my main girlfriend. If I didn’t travel there, she came to Göteborg to see me. Her name is Pia. I met her the first week I was with the Anderbergs. YFU even allowed me to make special arrangements for my trip home so I could stay my last night in Helsingborg instead of Göteborg.”

“How is that possible?!” Mom protsted. “The Jonssons promised me that they wouldn’t allow anything like that.”

“I’m sure they did. But a call to Mrs. Seime solved that. She called Stig Olsen, the YFU director in Sweden. He fixed everything. I had to go to the Anderbergs at first while YFU worked it out; but with help from Lars Andersson and Rolf Anderberg, I managed to avoid your plan to ruin my year.

“And you know what? I was allowed to manage my own life, decide what to do, when to do it, and who to do it with. I kept Anders and Eva informed of what was going on, but I had no curfew, was allowed to stay out all night at girls’ houses, and they were allowed to stay with me. That’s how things are in Sweden.

“Since February, I spent every weekend at my girlfriend Katt’s house unless I was with Pia. And both Katt’s and Pia’s parents approved, Mom. Every adult I interacted with in Sweden treated me like an adult. Every single one. I didn’t get in any trouble and I was complimented on how nice, respectful, and well-mannered I was. Unlike you, Swedes do not freak out about sex!”

“If you think you’re going to behave like that here, Stephen, you are sorely mistaken. I will not have that kind of immorality in my house. We didn’t have it for a year and we won’t have it now. You will have a curfew and you will obey me.”

“Judy, we talked about this,” my dad said.

“No Ray! He smooth-talked his way out of the control he needed.”

“Mom, you’re the one who is mistaken. I have no intention of living under your thumb. You may think I’m incapable of managing my life, but the Anderssons, Anderbergs, Jonssons, Sandbergs, Sundströms, and Katsaroses, among others, all disagree with you. I will tell you what I’m doing and who I’m with because that’s being responsible. But you won’t decide that. If I want to have sex, I will. I told you that over a year ago and I’m telling you now. That is my business, not yours. Period.”

“Ray, do you see how out of control he is?”

“Judy, I haven’t heard him say one thing that’s out of control. He’s seventeen now and he should be able to make most decisions for himself.”

“Not in my house!”

“Mom, that’s up to you. I have plenty of money. I have a good job waiting for me with Larry’s grandfather, both at the deli and computer programming. I can make several thousand dollars from the computer dating program. If you want to kick me out, I can move in with Jennifer. And I’m spending the night with Jennifer tomorrow, with her parents’ blessing.”

“You are doing no such thing!” Mom screeched.

I’d intentionally baited her, and I wasn’t going to stop.

“Yes, I am. And if for some reason I couldn’t move in with them, the Spencers would take me in. And, before the end of the Summer, I’ll probably go to Colorado to see my girlfriend Katt. She’s there training for ice dancing competition. And I’ll stay with her, with her parents’ blessing.”

“Ray, I won’t stand for this,” my mom said angrily.

“Mom, you can kick me out or you can accept it. Those are really your only two options. I’ve grown up. You can accept that or not accept it. But not accepting it won’t change a damn thing!”

“You are still a little boy. You have no idea how to manage your life.”

“Judy, it seems to me that he did a pretty good job in Sweden.”

“If you consider having sex all the time a good job managing his life!” she shrieked.

“Mom, let me be blunt. Nobody took care of me or told me what to do or controlled me. Nobody. Not the Jonssons, not YFU, not the Anderbergs, and most certainly not the Anderssons. All of them encouraged me and helped me. Call them. Talk to them. You’ll find out exactly how good I was at managing my life. I know you won’t do that for the same reason you attacked Becky’s parents, Jennifer’s parents, and Melanie’s parents. You can’t stand the fact that you can’t control me.”

“That’s because you are out of control, young man!”

“Mom, call Doctor Mercer and ask her if I’m out of control. She knows everything, and I mean everything, I did before I stopped seeing her. I’ll give her permission to tell you everything. If you want me to see her now and be evaluated, I’ll do that. And do you know why? Because I know how it will turn out!”

“You had her fooled, just as you did all those parents! But you can’t fool me!”

“Judy, do you really think he can fool all of those people? Scores of parents, YFU, and a licensed psychologist?” my dad asked.

“Yes, Ray. He’s a con artist. Don’t tell me he’s fooling you as well!”

“Judy, he’s been telling you the truth about what he’s done. He’s never lied about it as far as I can tell.”

“What about Jennie McGrath?”

“Mom, for the last time, she’s married, and it’s Jennie Sanders. And I never lied to you about her. I may have chosen my words carefully, but I never lied.”

“Did you have sex with her?”

“That is simply none of your business.”

“So you did!”

“You made that assumption a year ago. She denied it and I refuse to answer the question because it’s none of your business!”

“It is my business, Stephen. You are still a minor. Refusing to answer is not acceptable. The fact you don’t deny it tells me that I’m right! Why don’t you just admit it like you do about Jennifer, Melanie, and the other loose girls you are having sex with!”

“I’ll admit it when you have incontrovertible proof, because I won’t lie about it. But if you’re just suspicious or guessing? Then it’s none of your business. Not now. Not ever. And as for being ‘loose’, Jennifer was a virgin when we made love the first time and she’s never been with anyone else. That’s hardly what I would call ‘loose’.”

“You are not staying at the Block’s house tomorrow!” she declared. “I’ll call her parents!”

“Go ahead. Call them. They gave Jennifer permission. And if you do somehow convince them to change their mind, then Jennifer and I will find somewhere else to stay all night. We’re going to make love, Mom. You can’t stop it.”

“Steve, you’re pushing it pretty far now,” Dad said.

“Dad, who’s pushing it? I’m calm, cool, and collected. I’m simply speaking my mind. I’ll be happy to discuss this rationally and work out rules that I can live with. Do you think Mom is right?”

He was silent for a moment, and Mom was looking daggers at him.

“No Son,” he said evenly. “I don’t agree with your mother.”

I kept my mouth shut. I had just won the war and was not going to say anything that could ruin it. I was surprised when Mom said nothing, but I was sure this wasn’t the end of it.

We stopped once for gas and for burgers but otherwise drove straight through to Milford. Other than Dad asking me a few more questions about Sweden, the ride was VERY quiet.

Dance of a LifetimeChapter 82 Homeward Bound

"On the road again, just can't wait to be on the road again..." Warren sang as they pulled out of Madison, heading home for the summer. "Yeah, drive three days, be home for less than a week, and then get on a plane," Sophia mock-grumbled. "Yeah, but we get to get on a plane to go skate in the COI tour for a month." "Yeah, I am looking forward to it, but our life is getting really, really hectic if you think about it." "Yup." Warren drove in silence for a bit. "I have to say,...

The Preacher ManChapter 32 Homeward Bound

Thirty-eight days later... Time: February 5, 8239 6:03 AM I finished a short Prayer of Ascension to the two pilots in the flight cabin. They gave an appropriate Prayer of Humility back. I commended them for their very smooth flight so far and then clicked off the intercom. Michal was sitting next to me and gave me a timid look. She had come out of her purge cycle less than two hours ago and knew nothing of the undamaged states of her sister-wives. And everything she knew of me now, she...

Naked Day part 19 Homeward Bound

"I have something to say and you will all listen. I love you all. I still do. I place no blame at all for tonight's events. I apologize to Tim if this makes him feel any less of me. This could not have been easy for him." I made to speak but Cindy raised her hand. "Not yet. Nikki, Peter, thank you for you hospitality. Your gifts. I will treasure them and wear them for my man, if he'll have me." Nikki seemed to shed a tear. I longed to go embrace my wife. But I gave her space. "And...

Aunt Megan Part seven Homeward bound

I woke up curled around Megan's naked form. Her slow breathing telling me she was still asleep. I carefully extracted myself from her and admired her naked form again. I went to the toilet and cleaned up. Putting on a pair of jocks and a t-shirt I went out to the kitchen to put the kettle on and perhaps think about making some breakfast. As I walked around the corner, I nearly jumped out of my skin. There was Dad sitting at the table drinking a cup of coffee.“Jesus, Dad! You scared the shit...

Homeward Bound

Lilith walked along the trail out of Harboral to the west. Being a guard to merchants wasn't so bad. She had learned to fight at a young age, and it had served her well. Lilith had a well-toned body. Her lightly-tanned skin glistened in the dwindling sunlight as she marched purposefully back to her home of Kirinvale. Her long red hair hung just on her shoulders and her green eyes eagerly took in all of the sights of the forests between Harboral and Kirinvale. Plate armor covered most of her...

Taking the Road TogetherChapter 22 Homeward Bound

"Since when have you been taking stupid pills, Stephy?" Cassie said, dropping her purse on the table and pulling up a chair. "What the hell are you doing here, Cassie?" Stephanie's head hurt. Maybe from that bottle of wine she drank when she got home last night. She didn't need to face Cassie today. "Well, it all started with this phone call about 3 from your husband." "Darren? Why would Darren call you?" "Why? Who else would he call? You're his best friend. Have been since...

MasterbuilderChapter 8 Homeward Bound

In the morning Alfred showed us how to switch realities, emphasizing again that nothing could go wrong. It would work or not, as simple as that. We polished off all the perishables, tidied up the cave (No, Wilbur did the damn dishes this time!) and watched Alfred send off the empty containers, to be picked up from his pad by the suppliers. We were quite a sad lot when we did our goodbyes. Watching Wilbur disappear in the blink of an eye was heart wrenching. I hugged Alfred, thanking him...

A King and His QueenChapter 22 Homeward Bound

The trip back home took a lot longer than the trip to Hawaii. Adding to their woes, their plane had been delayed and they arrived at home two hours late. They had gotten used to Hawaiian time and the time change was unsettling. In Hawaii, it was only eleven, but here it was one in the morning. It was extremely cold and, with the overcast sky, it was very dark when they stepped out of the airport. Andrew pushed the cart loaded with luggage out to long term parking. His car was parked way the...

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

Homeward

The four of us laid there for a while, Carmen kissing Bob as he caressed her tits and me gently caressing Edna's tits while I watched Carmen. Looking at Edna, "You have any more surprises for me?" I asked her. I could see Edna smile, "I have a little game I play with Carmen" she replied "What's that?" I asked "I like to slap her face while she tries to caress my tits" Edna answered. "Really" I said amazed "Care to show me" I then asked. Enda got to her feet and had Carmen move in front of her...

A New Start The BeginningChapter 3 Homeward

We topped off on fuel and made our regular pit stop at a truck stop just outside of Highland Bluff. Since we had decided that whenever we stopped one of us would always be on guard I too first watch while I fueled the truck. All three girls ran for the restroom as soon as we stopped. They really had to go bad. Cheryl grabbed some chips and beef jerky when she was finished in the restroom. Michelle went to the beverage area after she came out of the restroom. She picked up some Pepsi for...

Homeward BoundChapter 2

His phone echos through the house. He no longer dreams so he wakes instantly and moves unhurriedly down the hall to the kitchen. "Hello you," he says. He looks at the refrigerator. On it is an old yellowing clipping. It reads: "Deborah Andrews "Saturday, Sept 14, 1985 "Greenwood -- The funeral of Deborah Andrews, late of Oakland, California was held at Edwards Memorial Funeral Home in Greenwood, Friday, Sept 13, 1985. Followed by cremation and burial in the School St Cemetery as was...

Toms AdventuresChapter 16 Homeward

As they left Kansas City behind Tom told Ben to find a place and stay there until the next morning, unless he needed to follow anybody that might come after them. He nodded and moved away. Tom then called John over and told him to ride at least an hour ahead and to watch for anything that might be a danger. He seemed reluctant, but Tom insisted that it would be much safer for him in the end, and John had to agree. He moved off at a gallop. It was late in the day when Tom caught up to John....

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 63 Back to Work

August 21, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Unbelievable,” I said when I read the headline from the Chicago Tribune. “It says here that Solidarity activist Tadeusz Mazowiecki was nominated to be Prime Minister of Poland.” I hadn’t had a chance to read the paper on Sunday because it hadn’t been delivered before we left for the race track in Michigan. “So now what?” Kara asked. “We’re in totally uncharted territory. Your guess is as good as anyone’s right about now.” “Steve, do you have a minute?”...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 36 My Lifes Journey

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. I read, wrote some longhand journal entries, ate, and generally relaxed while the plane zipped over the Atlantic. I’d come home, taken a sauna, eaten a light meal, and gone straight to bed, not bothering to check messages, look at the mail that...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 4 Calm Before the Storm

June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

July, 1982, Milford, Ohio I woke up early on Friday morning to make breakfast for Kara and her mom before she went to work. Mrs. Blanchard was surprised, but very pleased. After her mom left for work, Kara gave me a fierce kiss. “Thanks for staying in and cooking breakfast for us,” Kara said. “I hope that doesn’t cause you trouble with Stephanie, with you breaking your normal routine.” “Don’t worry about it,” I said, kissing her back. “We got in a bit later than I expected, and she’ll...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 38 Jennifer

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois After Rosie left, I stripped the sheets from my bed, as well as the cover of the duvet, and tossed everything into the washing machine. I lit a lavender candle in the room, and then swept and dusted. I did a quick spot-check of the rest of the house and noticed that the tub in the sauna needed to be cleaned. I scrubbed it, then mopped the sauna floor with a damp sponge mop. I finished cleaning the sauna about the time the washing machine finished, so I moved...

May 26, 1991, Iron Mountain, Michigan “Shall we see if we can find a farm?” I asked at breakfast on Sunday morning. “That sounds like a great idea,” Jessica said. “There’s a visitor’s bureau in town,” Kara said. “I saw it when we were here the first time.” “I’m sorry I ruined that vacation,” Jessica said. “Ruined?” I protested. “Are you kidding? Getting you back was way more important than a few days of vacation!” “I agree,” Kara added. “Jess, you know exactly how bad off Steve was...

A WellLived Life Book 9 AnalaChapter 59 New Friends

August, 1984, Chicago, Illinois The rest of the week proceeded as expected - class on Wednesday, as well as the usual visit from Penny, work on Thursday, and class on Friday. Kara and I had lunch together at IIT, Sofia practiced her driving and parking, and I hung out with Mark Agnini after class for beers. Staci and I got into a couple of interesting debates about the Old Testament that Mark had to break up to allow others in the class to participate. She was very much of the ‘directly...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 7 Reaching the Peak

March 25, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “What time do I need to have you home?” “8:00pm will be fine,” Misty replied. “My parents are in Normal visiting my brother at Illinois State. They aren’t supposed to be home before 10:00pm.” Misty and I were in my car on the way to the NIKA apartment which, fortunately, was not being used. With our expansion, it was in more or less regular use, and that meant I didn’t have access to it as often as I would have liked. I was glad there had been a delay in...

We have an 11:00am flight. Assuming all goes well, we’ll be in the office by 3:00pm Pacific time. We’ll spend a couple hours going over the software then go to dinner. The demo is tomorrow. A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 7 Setting the Course of My Life

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

July 22, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “Albert, do you have everything packed?” Mom asked. “Yes, Mom!” I replied, rolling my eyes because she’d asked before I went to bed. “He’ll be fine, Babe,” Dad said. “Let’s walk to the hospital.” I usually didn’t get up early, but Dad had suggested it would help Mom if I walked to the hospital with her because I was leaving to see Jane for three weeks. Mom, Dad, Aunt Kara and I left the house and headed down the sidewalk towards the hospital where Mom and...

Katya found the information for me when I asked her to look into several things about Brandon Littleton, Kevin Lomax, and John Milton.” “Do you know more about him?” “A LOT more. I don’t think you want to know.” “Probably not, but I’m your criminal defense attorney, and even though San Antonio doesn’t have you involved in this, you know the CPD...

“So, how should we do these Stone’s songs?” Phil asked at our rehearsal session. “I think we all know the music, we just need to come up with a pretty awesome arrangement; we don’t want to sound like yet another cheap cover band.” “I had some ideas, if it’s okay for me to make some suggestions,” Allison said. “Of course it is,” Phil said. “Everyone can have a say, there’s no rule that says you can’t participate in the discussion.” “Thanks, Phil, I guess being the newest here, I’m a bit...

May 11, 1992, Chicago, Illinois Monday was turning out to be a LONG day. After my run and talk with Gina, and my talk with Elyse, I had a full day at the office scheduled. First was our leadership meeting in the morning, and then I had status meetings with each team. At lunch I’d gone to see Siobhán and explained that I was going to break off the sexual relationship, but that I wanted to remain friends. She was disappointed, but admitted that Thursday would have been the last time, since she...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 23 So Now You Turn Back Into Diana Prince

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

September 1982, Chicago, Illinois The weekend was quiet and besides homework, I worked on the program changes for Frank, called Karin, Tatyana, and Kara, and hung out with my usual study group. Monday was refreshingly normal. On Tuesday morning, I handed Katy my completed intake form. She put it in an envelope and stuck it in her bag. She said she’d let me know soon about the interview. October 1982, Chicago, Illinois The drive back to Chicago was as uneventful as usual, and I arrived at the apartment just before 6:00pm. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 52 Lifestyle Choices

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. The last time had been in the shower where we’d ostensibly gone to clean up afterwards, but instead I ended up taking her from behind as she leaned against the wall of the shower. “I think I’ll have you again, Steve Adams,” she...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. "It is the perogative of all summoner servants to do as their master bids, no matter what is asked of them." It was a rule Lina and Rylai the crystal maiden knew well. Sometimes even appreciated. She was happy that I could spend the morning with her and asked to take a walk, so we weren’t in the house with my mom. “Let me guess — this walk will end in the clearing,” I said with a smile. “Yes,” she said, taking my hand as we walked down Overlook towards Klondyke.
