"You are kidding?" asked Aric at the breakfast table the next morning.

"That Quinn boy actually attacked you with a group?" his father asked looking at Jaden.

Aric was more shocked someone in town would attack his son than he was that it was a group. The town's folks knew they could be dangerous and counted on that reputation to keep raiders and pirates from attacking the town.

"Yes, and I didn't want to, but I killed the one firing around crossbow bolts. I couldn't take the chance on one hitting Gail. But I just injured the others," said Jaden solemnly.

He knew that his parents would scold him for taking a life.

"I'm sure you did what you could and you did it to protect someone who was unable to protect themselves," said Brianna as she passed by and squeezed his shoulder

Jaden was shocked, but he wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth, so he stayed quiet.

"I wonder what they will do next," said Caelan. "If they have gone this far for Darla and Gail, I doubt they will back away regardless of what we do. We might actually have to seriously hurt one of them."

"Well make sure you impress how dangerous they are to the girls and trust in them," said Brianna.

Both boy's nodded grimly and was started getting ready for a day's work on the docks.

"So let me get this straight, you are going to drug those two and have your way with them, and the only thing you ask is we keep their boyfriends busy for a bit and afterwards they will be ours? What's the catch?" asked a very pretty blonde girl.

"I just want first a crack at one of the girls. I know once she experiences me, and possibly a few of my friends, she won't want that stupid fool or his brother back. And I know he won't want her back. I'll even fund you girls so you can get proper outfits so that we get it kicked off right," said Quinn smiling.

"Not you too? Don't tell me you're after Darla as well. The same girl that all of the boys are mooning over? That cow, I don't know why the boys just have to have her. There are a lot of us who are just as pretty as they think she is. I remember when she was just a stick and no one cared about her when we were kids," said another.

"Well if you do what I say you can have hours of enjoyment with those two later while we entertain the ladies," said Quinn to the brunette girl who just spoke and was sitting naked on his lap.

The first girl had been straddling Steven in a chair naked when she spoke before.

"Ok, we're in. I've always wanted a crack at those two since we were kids, but Darla and Gail sewed them up pretty tight early on so that we never had a real chance. They look like they might be some real fun now that we're all older," said yet another pretty brunette girl off to the side.

The pretty brunette that just spoke was lying on a bed naked under another man as he labored above her, but she had turned to face Quinn and talk with him.

"For her to be conversing with us like that he must not be getting the job done, " thought Quinn with glee. "I know she wouldn't have a coherent thought if it was me above her."

"I've heard that once a week, on Darla and Gail's days off, they go to the shops on the other side of the city and spend the day. Ok guys, here's my plan..." said Quinn.

"I like walking through this side of the city," said Darla as she walked arm in arm with Caelan. She would even put her head on his shoulder from time to time as she walked.

"Yes there are always some nice shops and nice things to look at around here," said Gail.

But then she smirked, "But I've seen much nicer things closer to home," she said as she slowly rubbed Jaden's chest openly and publicly.

Jaden immediately turned red and didn't stop looking straight ahead.

"Bro, when you are around Gail that seems to be your constant color. If you keep it up you'll stick that color one day," laughed Caelan.

The girls both laughed, but Jaden looked sheepish. He knew his brother wasn't trying to really embarrass him. But Gail always could easily, and if he didn't really love her, it might get to him one day.

As the walked through the market, they stopped and visited a few shop, but a weapons shop caught their eyes and the brother wanted to have a good look around.

"Tell you boys what, let me and Darla go freshen up and we'll meet you at that new open side tavern "Davies's Mark". We'll get a table and wait for you. Just don't be too long, you never know what will happen to two pretty girls by themselves," said Gail as she winked.

They all knew that Gail was kidding, but the boys decided to not stay too long, but would have a quick look around and would meet the girls. They thought it rude to be gone too long.

They decided to just look at the newer weapons, where Caelan and Jaden could both test the balance on various ones. Caelan, because he wanted to test lightening running through a weapons to stun his opponent, and Jaden because it gave him ideas on how to use his ice to style it into a new form.

Even though they were both inspecting different weapons, they suddenly noticed five girls standing behind them. They turned to see who they were.

The Girls were dressed to impress the guys.

Everything they had on, was either short enough to come to well above the knees, or tight enough to show off their waistline and chest. They were all wearing enough makeup to enhance their looks, but not enough to be trashy. In all it was two blonde girls and three brown haired ones.

One of the blonde girls with short hair stepped up and smiled prettily at Jaden. She had probably a few more pounds on her than she liked, but it wasn't anything that detracted from her beauty. In fact it gave her a look of "softness" about her.

The girl wasn't happy about it, because some of her friends were thinner than her, but she also realized no boy she had ever been with had ever complained, and some raved on and on about how they liked how soft she felt to them. And she had to admit, that always helped boosted her ego.

"Morning Sally, what can we do for you ladies today?" asked Jaden.

"We were just out and we saw you and your brother here in the shop and thought we'd come over and say hi," said Sally as she tried to look up at Jaden seductively.

Jaden looked over at this brother, and the two of them shared an Oh no, not this again look.

"Well to tell the truth, Jaden and I were getting ready to meet Darla and Gail and continue our date," said Caelan looking around.

"But you have been gone for two seasons, we haven't had a chance to talk to you once since you both came back," said Nancy.

"Can't you just talk to us for a few minutes," said Becky as she tried to slowly bat her large brown eyes, while trying to give them both a look of complete innocence.

Of them all Becky was the most experienced with men. She knew they all flocked to her wide eyed innocence look.

"You know you guys have been gone a while, are you sure you can't take a few minutes to tell some old friends what you've been up to?" asked Samantha as she slowly reached out to touch Caelan's arm.

"You boys used to be such gentlemen, a couple minutes won't kill you," said Caitlin with her most seductive smile.

Being the girl with the largest breasts and the nicest legs of the group, Caitlin went all out to comb her long brown hair till it shined, put on a low cut top, and wear the shortest skirt.

She was sure she'd soon have one, if not both, brothers shortly in bed with her. She always wanted to try both of them at the same time. Both of the twins at the same time was a fantasy of hers.

"We can talk a few minutes but we really need to get moving soon," said Jaden frowning as the girls started asking questions, but kept moving in and getting closer to the boys than they felt comfortable with the whole time.

"I hope the boys come soon," said Darla.

While no one directly approached them, various men didn't disguise their look of lust at the two beauties. They weren't dressed in tight or revealing outfits, but they did dress up some, with a touch of makeup, for their boyfriends, and it did attract more attention that normal for them

"Don't worry. They know better than leave us alone for too long. They know its no kisses today if they take too long shopping. Let's just order and wait for them," said Gail with a smile.

After they both ordered hot spiced rum each to drink, they leaned back and started talking about various things once they had it in front of them. Neither one noticed Quinn nor Steve suddenly at their table.

"Hi ladies, fancy meeting you out here," said Quinn trying to smile warmly.

Both Darla and Gail looked up and frowned

"Quinn, Steven, if Jaden or Caelan find you here, after what you pulled a few weeks ago, they might not just let you both off with a light beating. If it was me I'd leave while I could," said Gail with a frown. Darla shook her yes as well.

Appearing to not care both Quinn and Steven sat in a chair across from them anyway.

"I'm here to apologize to both you and Jaden, Gail. Please give me a chance. I'd like to make it right. I've not been in this city two seasons yet so I didn't know you both had been spoken for, for so long. I would like for us to all be friends," said Quinn smiling.

"Me too," said Steven smiling wide.

"Guys, look I know you think this is a good idea, but it's not. Mainly because..." started Gail.

But before she could finish, behind her there was a loud commotion. There was a fight in the street between two men. As everyone turned to see what it was, Quinn and Steven both leaned over and poured something into each of the girls drinks and then sat back.

Once it broke up, the girls turned back and again decided to persuade these two to move on.

"What will it take for you two to leave?" asked Gail.

"Let us have a quick drink with the two of you and we'll be gone," said Quinn with a smile. "What are you both drinking?"

Battlemage Book 3 Return of the Prodigal SonsChapter 3

As the girls relived their times with the boy's, the boys were making good time back to the town. They decided to stop in and see Darla first. They both figured if Darla was there working, then Gail was either working there by now, or she was close by. Either way Darla would know where Gail was. "Darla I don't see why you can't give me one more chance at a date. You really owe me since our last one didn't last long and I didn't even get a good night kiss," Quinn said "If you...

"So what you're saying is that either we can never have sex, or I have to be prepared to marry Darla because she could go insane if we have sex and I wasn't willing to assume the responsibility to spend the rest of my life with her?" asked Caelan with wide eyes. "Yes, that about sums it up, but with your magic abilities there is no way to tell how the bond with Darla would turn out. The two of your powers might create something totally unique, given who you are," said Galen. The four...

"Rayne you're back!" said Brianna as she hugged her daughter. Aric was struck by how close his daughter looked like her mother when he met her. Suddenly he was feeling really protective again, even though he knew she was fully capable of taking care of herself. Rayne was hugging and looking at her parents after being away for seasons. Her mother had a few more silver hairs, but they mixed well with the red and fed into her braid. She now had bangs that came down to her eyebrows that she...

Battlemage Book 8 Origins and Dark RevelationsChapter 8

Nathan and Ariel were at the city of Lake's End walking around and speaking with the various people who lived there as they waited for their contact to get in touch with them. Someone had sent a work request notice to the guild about a two person job that needed to be done, and they requested the two of them by name. It was a simple escort job, but the request that accompanied it asked that both of them come a few days early before hand and discuss the job, as it was private and sensitive...

Rising early Kat was up and noticed that Seth was seated at the table with his back slightly to the rest of the room. She slowly approached but she could hear him softly talking to himself. She tried to wait but eventually she got curious. "I know Marie, but we're almost done here ... you don't think you'll go early do you? Oh, not really ... Dusty met his first ghoul yesterday ... he'll be ok, but he was out cold again ... I better run everyone will be up soon. I love you," said...

Riding into the small town, it was aptly named "Dresden's Last Chance" There wasn't much to see but a few homes and a few businesses, maybe twenty to thirty buildings in total. Of course there was also the tavern that might have a spare room or two, but it was obvious that the Inn was more there for getting a drink than anything else. The companions reached the town about mid day. Kat only wanted to stop overnight since they were so close and give the horses a break then push on. She...

Dusty slowly opens his eyes and looks around and sees he's in a very nice room and Suzan is sleeping with her head down on the bed in a chair she's pulled up to the bed. It looks like she's been watching over him. As he groggily reaches out he softly touches her head, where he then starts to slowly stroke her hair. It seemed amazingly soft to him as he did. He always wondered how women always managed to keep their hair soft like that. "So she loves me huh? I guess that's why I'm more...

Before lunch had been served Dusty had already spoken with the King. Even though he tried hard to keep the crystal phones they created a secret from the public, the King while bragging about them, had shown his off to a few of the nobles and visiting dignitaries. That was enough to spark a huge interest in them. Suddenly it was seen as a favor to the crown to have a few people outfitted with them, and a few others tried to curry huge favors with him to get one. Dusty and his friends kept...

While Kat had waited that morning for the three of them to arrive quite a few men had tried to "chat her up" as they passed by her going either into the city or as they left. Even in her generally loose fitting travel garb they saw the gem that she was. Somehow she managed not only to talk to them in a friendly manner, but she also managed to get some useful information while not offending anyone or giving the impression that she was willing to go to bed with any of them. Even though she...

The four women entered the large city and quickly blended in with the rest of the inhabitants. Amber came into the house and kicked off her boots. She then put her pack down beside the door, took off her twin swords, and then leaned those swords against the door next to her pack. Her parents would be around somewhere, and after she found something to eat she would go find them. She had dropped Logan off in town, as he wanted to visit, but she only wanted to go home and unwind. As she walked down the hallway she had the same thoughts she usually did when she passed through...

Dusty felt like he was submerged in warm water. It was strange because while he couldn't see, he could feel everything. The feeling made him feel like he was surrounded by nothing and yet at the same time by everything. He could feel shapes, colors, sounds, even smells. He could sense everyone around him and as strange as it sounded he could sense himself. It was like he was looking at himself but he wasn't looking at himself. As Dusty was trying to puzzle that out, he felt child like...

Dusty and Suzan reached the double doors that lead to the council chambers. They had passed a few offices that the council members and others made their own. Now they were at their destination. There was a single desk outside the council chambers, and at it sat a very striking and attractive red haired woman. She looked to conceivably be in her mid-thirties, but with mages that didn't mean anything. She was dressed in similar robes as the guard out front with the same sash over her...

As the five of them worked their way through the dungeon, they were surprised that they no longer found any opposition. There just didn't seem to be anything that approached them or tried to attack them. That bothered Dusty. The only thing that made it worse was the occasional dripping sound of water from somewhere in the distance as they made their way deeper into the dungeon. "This is...

Melkin had to admit that Dusty was coming up in the world. When he brought him here he was someone who had nothing and had to start at the bottom. The council thought that this was the best way to do it and that it would make him more dependant on them for things he needed to survive while here. The Return of Prodigal

The Return Of The Prodigal By Estaban Bacca A hot Maltese sun had baked the limestone village throughout the day. Theshadows had grown long and any activity along the quay had died away. EdgarBaldachino sat at his regular table outside the café. Over the rim ofa wine glass, his eyes watched the fleet of fishing luzzus peacefullybobbing at their moorings but his thoughts were far from tranquil. His mindwas thirty years in the past. He had been a youth of eighteen when he'd decided he had to...

Battlemage Book 8 Origins and Dark RevelationsChapter 6

3190 seasons previously before current times "Beth! Beth! Where are you? Are you here in the house?" called out Wolfgang as he started down the hallway. As he moved around the house, everything looked similar but somehow different. In spots there was dust and cobwebs, but not enough to make the house look abandoned. But no matter where he looked he didn't see Beth anywhere. Heading outside he noticed two young boys just outside his door. One was leaning with his back against the wall...

Battlemage Book 7 the Sound of Sensual JusticeChapter 4

"Ariel, I still don't see why you were so dead set against my having brought my Bastard sword with me as a backup incase of trouble. I mean you have your swords with you. I just feel safer with mine as well," said Nathan grumbling as he walked along. While he wasn't really irritated at Ariel, he was irritated at the situation. "For the very reason you just stated. You should be comfortable with every weapon you know how to use well. But that won't happen if you only carry that one...

Battlemage Book 7 the Sound of Sensual JusticeChapter 3

Once breakfast was finished Ariel wandered the guild grounds once again. She was trying to learn where everything was, and she passed various areas once again including the blacksmith shop where Nathan worked as a blacksmith's assistant. When they first arrived they found that the guild already had a blacksmith, but like the other members he went on missions because he could make more money doing that than he could having the members pay him to fix their weapons. So there was a need for...

Battlemage Book 4 the Red DragonChapter 9

The meeting with Rayne's parents, Aric and Brianna, went really well Matt thought. Matt met her father Aric, and if he thought the boys were larger than life, he was shocked at the father. His presence seemed huge to him. But strangely, other than a silver forelock, Aric didn't look like he could possibly be a day over thirty at best to Matt. To Matt Aric seemed far too quiet, friendly, and gentle to be the famous Battlemage he had heard of. Didn't they only love death and destruction...

Battlemage Book 9 Glimpses Into TomorrowChapter 12

"So all the tests prove that Beth is now resistant to all forms of poison?" asked Anne-Marie as she put down one of the various reports that she had been looking over in front of her and leaned back in her chair. She now had the six of them in her office once again and she was looking them over. Once they returned to the guild, the first thing Ayden and a few of the mature Sisters did was to check out Beth. He was the best able to tell them what he did and the few White mage they had...

Battlemage Book 10 Darkness Under a Scarlet MoonChapter 8

Groaning Terrance rolled out of the wreckage of the bookcase he was lying in. There were a few sharp points and splinters he pulled free of his skin, but thankfully none were in his face or eyes. As he looked over at the ruined mess that was a side table he saw the light stirring of Rory. "Hey, are you ok?" asked Terrence tiredly "How can any one person have that much strength?" asked Rory as he finally opened his eyes and looked at Terrance. "The way he threw us I think he only...

Battlemage Book 10 Darkness Under a Scarlet MoonChapter 9

"Are you ready? We don't have to do this if you really don't want to. We might be able to find another way. Or we could find someone else, or..." said Kat as she looked at Rory. Rory reached out and put his hand on her arm and gently held it. "Kathryn, we don't have a lot of time and it's not like it's our first time together, remember? Ariel is running loose and it's only a matter of time before she runs into a caravan or something else, and a lot of innocents become harmed...

Battlemage Book 1 Beginnings and DiscoveriesChapter 13

Aric worked hard while he was at the academy. And while it was grueling work, it was getting him where he needed to be. He wanted to finish fast to be back in Andrea's arms. He was ready to be married and with all that it entailed. The professors couldn't believe how fast he learned, and he seemed to be ready for any class he could take. The only exception was the class for Applied Black Magery, that class he refused to take. He didn't like the necromancy involved and flat out refused to...

Battlemage Book 1 Beginnings and DiscoveriesChapter 14

"ARRRGGHHH!! What do we do now!" asked Andrea for about the fourth or fifth time since getting to Daven's office as she paced back and forth. Daven leaned back and watched her pace. Even though she was severely agitated, her pacing, and the waving of her arms in that dress, was doing wonders for her anatomy. No wonder he loved that dress on her and he thought again no wonder he had always wanted her. Once he got her unwound she was a tiger in the sack. He would really miss their time...

Battlemage Book 1 Beginnings and DiscoveriesChapter 16

While Aric was making his way to see Aaron, Andrea and Daven were still shocked over Aric's announcement that he was through with them. To the best of their knowledge he never gave up on anyone. But for all intent and appearances he had on both of them! And to make it worse he was going to keep his word, they knew he would. Andrea still sat on the floor stunned. "Aric is done with me," she thought really worried. "Aric said he is done with me? That can't be! What am I going to do? I...

Battlemage Book 5 End of a Legacy and New BeginningsChapter 8

"Nana what was that?" asked a worried Gem. "I'm not sure. It felt like we hit something. But the ship isn't moving forward anymore and it's not sinking. But I do hear a lot of yelling, but I just don't know," said Brianna. Brianna and Gem were in a windowless room with the door bolted from the outside. But with their sparse clothing, or lack there of, they could clearly feel that it was now way colder than it was before. The reason for their confusion was that they felt the boat...

"What... ? What does he mean that Aric doesn't love me as much as he did Andrea? How could he say that he knows for sure that Aric only stayed with me because I was the only person he had sex with? Aric's not that type of person! "No, that couldn't be it. He's just trying to make me feel bad. Aric loves me more than he ever loved her, I know he does. I just know he does, " thought Brianna, but deep down she was starting to wonder if there was really any truth to that...

Battlemage Nonetheless Book 6 ApprenticeChapter 4

Galvin sat on the cliff side with his legs dangling as he sat overlooking the city. It was a very prosperous city that originally had been a town that was built against the side of a cliff so that it could only be raided from one direction, and all the defenses had been developed to protect from that direction. But over the years the town had grown, as well as changes in modern warfare. Now if someone wanted to give the city a good pasting they could do it in relative safety from where he...

Battlemage Nonetheless Book 1 DisplacementChapter 10

Once they came to the city they asked for directions and they headed for the address they were given. They found themselves in front of a very large museum with rod iron gates that were swung wide open. They entered and were shown into a very nice, but a very cluttered office. There were books stacked on every table. But at least the center desk was clear. As the secretary showed them in she smiled big at Dusty and offered him her hand as she showed them all into the office. And once he...

After making their way to the address in question they noticed that there was a light coming from what looked to be a cellar door. As they opened the door they saw there was a lantern lit by the door but the others close by it were out. But a few feet after those the rest were lit again. Marie said she was going first, and they followed her down a narrow passageway that seemed to go down for about two stories then leveled out. As they leveled out they realized that they were headed to a...

Battlemage Nonetheless Book 5 AdvocateChapter 11

Dusty and the others made pretty good time over the last day and a half to the huge mountainous expanse in the desert. Dusty would never have expected this if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes. It didn't make sense, but he was still learning things. There was one point when Kat called them close and said they were being followed. Dusty leaned over his horse, using just one stirrup to support his weight, reached into an inside pocket, and then hung like that as he buried something close...

Battlemage Nonetheless Book 6 ApprenticeChapter 6

Dusty got up early the next morning and found that not only was DJ up, but he already finished some light stretching, completed a run around the house a few times, and was now seated at the kitchen table entertaining himself as he waited for everyone else to get up. Laughing to himself he found it interesting that the boy had similar habits as himself. "I see your up early, any reason for that?" asked Dusty as he got a cup of something out of the icebox and then leaned against the counter...

Battlemage Nonetheless Book 1 DisplacementChapter 3

"Hi welcome to the Winters, Taylor and Owen law firm. How may I help you?" asked the extremely beautiful young lady coming down the hallway. As Dusty stopped to get a good look at her he found his breath taken completely away. She was about 5'9" in some nice shiny black four inch Patten leather pumps. It didn't appear she was wearing stockings, but her legs were tanned and very well formed, but he was trying not to stare and only took a very quick look at them as she approached...
