We flew into Barcelona on the 26th May. We had booked a week at a hotel at Tossa del Mar, a small coastal village about 25 miles to the north of the city. A car from the hotel met us at the airport and as we drove along the coast road I understood why the area was called 'The Costa Brava', The Rugged Coast. Tossa del Mar had escaped the over-development suffered by other coastal villages as it did not have the large beaches of the Costa Blanca or Costa del Sol. Instead, the small secluded coves, with their steep rocky paths as access, kept both the 18-30 Club hedonists and sun-seeking pensioners away. However it was on the small beach at Tossa that before my eyes Miriam turned from a shy English supermarket worker into a suntanned, sexy, voluptuous man magnet.

My mother may well have been correct in ascribing gypsy blood to Pa Hodge, as Miriam developed a glorious golden skinned tan in the space of a few days. As a typical Anglo Saxon; blond hair, blue eyes and fair skin, I went from dead fish belly white, through flaming scarlet, to a dappled peeling dull red and white.

I'd never seen Miriam in a bikini before. Our honeymoon had been a week at Southend-on-Sea [or on- Mud, depending on the state of the tide] in mid-September, not a place, nor a time, where bikinis would be worn. In Spain she blossomed; her figure, now nicely toned by regular gym workouts, was naturally on the voluptuous side, and her small stature made her breasts look even bigger than they were (and they were already a very good handful each). These assets, coupled with her small waist and swelling hips, made her resemble a pocket Venus. Wrap that sun-kissed hour glass body in a brief, practically riot-causing bikini, and you had one highly desirable woman. And she was mine.

Previously I have referred to Miriam as being solemn. Her smile, which could be radiant, was seldom seen in Plaistow but in Tossa it was displayed often, with a devastating effect on the local males. They would hang around her, taking her dark hair, brown eyes, and golden skin as Spanish, paying her many flowery and flattering compliments. She didn't understand a word they said but knew, as any woman does, what an effect she was having on them, and her smile bathed them in pleasure.

We had been at the hotel three days, making love during the warm nights, the windows open to catch any slight breeze. It was a satisfying if not a particularly soul shaking variety of love making, something like that which long married couples might indulge in. It came as a shock to realise that Miriam and I had been married for over 7 years, and that in fact September would be our eighth year of wedded bliss.

However, next day on the little beach of Tossa del Mar, I fell madly in lust with my wife, and our love making became volcanic. It had started out much the same as previous days on this holiday; a lingering continental breakfast followed by a stroll around the village, and finally arrival on the beach dressed in our beach wear. Miriam wore a terry cloth beach robe over her bikini as she would have caused a traffic accident walking around without some sort of covering.

Miriam had gone in swimming; she was a very good swimmer (plenty of buoyancy) and I sat in a shaded deck chair reading up on the march that Black Bob Craufurd's Light Brigade had made from Oroposa to Talavera on July 28-29 1809. The Light Brigade, with the 95th in the fore, had marched 42 miles in 26 hours over a parched landscape during the height of a Spanish summer carrying full kit. OK, so that works out at less than two miles an hour, but remember, no one, not even the SAS, will march continually for 26 hours, and add to that the fact that the uniforms worn by the British Army at that time were made of wool. Also add in the fact that they were short of water, and then see how you would do under the same conditions.

I don't know what it was that made me look up, but I did just as Miriam was coming out of the sea. It was like watching Aphrodite rising from the waves, or Ursula Andress's scene in 'Doctor No', a beautiful sexy woman walking out of the surf, pushing back her long hair, and in so doing causing her magnificent breasts almost to spill out of her bikini top. As Miriam pulled at the bottom of her bikini to fit it more snugly around her buttocks I was struck with an overpowering sense of pure unadulterated lust. My erection went from 0-60 in a second and I hurriedly threw a towel over my groin unless I was had up for indecent exposure.

Miriam must have caught the waves of lust I radiated because she looked up, gave me a grin of pure devilment and then ran over to me, her bouncing breasts catching the attention of every red-blooded male on the beach. She stood before me and I could see she was turned on by what she saw in my eyes (and by what was showing under the towel). Swiftly throwing her robe over her wet bikini, she grabbed my hand and we made a hasty exit off the beach.

Back in our room I quickly got out of my tee shirt and shorts, kicked off my flip flops and fell on her; she already had her robe off and I attempted to undo the bikini ties at her hips, the bloody things were wet and I couldn't manage.

"Leave it to me!" Miriam's nimble fingers fiddled with the knots and her bikini bottom slid to the floor. I knelt before her and savoured her honey pot, letting my fingers brush her mound and my tongue tentatively tasted her outer lips. She giggled.

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 3 Paradise Regained and LostChapter 12 Ellse

With the reunification of Germany, and the gradual breakup of the Soviet Union, the role of the British Army Of the Rhine (BAOR) was under review. It didn't make much difference to 1st Green Jackets; we still had manoeuvres and schemes to take part in, and we continued with the training already scheduled, which had been designed to combat an attack by the USSR, a now non-existent foe. I was far too busy for the next 2 weeks in getting my platoon into shape for a forthcoming exercise, to...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 3 Paradise Regained and LostChapter 15 Addiction

We met at 2pm on the first Monday after Christmas, in a car park in Celle. I was off duty on the day she had specified and I wondered how she knew I would be available for our tryst. Dead on time her BMW drew into the car park, she beckoned me over and I received the full tongue and face sucking treatment as soon as I had sat down in the car. She then drove, one handed, to an autobahn rest station about 15 miles towards Hanover. We booked into a room and I joined her in what can only be...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 3 Paradise Regained and LostChapter 16 I meet my Waterloo

Six days after my birthday Ffion and I were sat together at a table in the opulent surroundings of the Officers Mess dining room in Trenchard Barracks. We had met on every one of the intervening six days, taking foolhardy risks of discovery as we made love where ever and whenever we could. We had even made love in Ffion's house, when Gareth and Geraint were away for the night at some motor cycle rally. I had crept into the house through the garden, after Ffion had left the gate in the panel...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 3 Paradise Regained and LostChapter 13 Ffion

It was a Saturday morning at the beginning of December, and I was in Celle buying Christmas presents for Miriam and my mother. I hadn’t spoken to Miriam since that terrible night when I had called her all those foul names. However, she was still my wife, if in name only, so I had decided to send her some perfume for Christmas, something of a peace offering I suppose. I had spoken to my mother a couple of times since that night, but neither of us had mentioned me losing my temper so...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 3 Paradise Regained and LostChapter 9 Invitation to a dance

About a week after the Jazzer incident I attended a dance in the Sergeants Mess. The RSM of the Queen's Dragoon Guards (QDG), who were 1RGJ's partners in the battle group, was retiring from the army. A dance for all the SNCOs, and their wives, of the battle group was to be held in his honour; full mess dress and medals to be worn. Although I was not accompanied by my wife I was expected/ordered to attend, as all the unmarried /unaccompanied sergeants were expected to dance with the wives of...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 3 Paradise Regained and LostChapter 5 The Happy Return

On our return to England I soon got into the routine of instructional duty, and with my weekends free Miriam would often come down to Warminster. Together we explored the countryside, two London sparrows that discovered al fresco loving, in a field of sweet smelling clover, or up against a warm weathered outbuilding wall, or in a copse with birds singing and the smell of bluebells, added extra pleasure to an activity that was already almost too exquisite to bear. Miriam and I spent our...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 3 Paradise Regained and LostChapter 11 Greta

Men have always been willing to pay for sex, and the Germans have made sure that the experience is as efficient, as reliable, and as comfortable as a BMW car. Prostitution is legal in Germany but there are very few streetwalkers, and none in Celle. The whores in the town work in brothels or bars, where they have to be registered and are subject to regular medical inspections. All brothels are regulated, registered, inspected, and probably more importantly, taxed. These taxes help pay for the...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 3 Paradise Regained and LostChapter 10 Madness

My actions concerning Jazzer Cartwright had got me plenty of 'brownie points'. Even Iron Rod had called into the platoon office to say, 'Well done Sergeant Desmond', which was almost as good as receiving the Military Medal. If only my personal life could be as successful as my army life. I was musing on that fact when I next rang home and spoke to my mother, a few days after the sergeants mess dance. "You know what them bastards 'ave been an gorn and done?" My mother shouted as soon...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 3 Paradise Regained and LostChapter 8 A boy called Jazzer

Back at Celle I had my platoon to attend to, and this took my mind off Miriam and the state she was in. I got distracted from my own problems by one of the riflemen in the platoon going Absent Without Leave (AWOL). He was a young bloke, not long out of the Junior Leaders battalion, about the same age as I had been when I'd joined 3RGJ. He had taken up with some local girl and wanted to marry her. You need permission from your CO to wed a local when serving abroad; he had been refused and was...

On the morning of the 27th October I had a message to report to battalion HQ. On my arrival I was met by the news that Miriam's parents had been killed in a road accident the evening before. My travel documentation and air tickets were waiting and I left within the hour, and was in Plaistow by 4pm that same day. When it comes to welfare and families our regiment is the best. I found Miriam absolutely devastated. I hadn't thought that she was that close to her parents, even though she had...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 2 RelationshipsChapter 1 Aldershot Sept 1987 Mandy Cindy and a funny story concerning Sandra

There is a shortage of cunt in Aldershot! Well at least of good quality cunt. The place has been a garrison town for hundreds of years and there are only two sorts of females in it. The first are the stuck up sort who wouldn't touch a squaddie with a barge pole and the others, who are not stuck up but poxed up, who you wouldn't want to touch with your barge pole. I'm being grossly unfair! I had been in a foul mood since the latest bust up with Miriam, and lack of nooky (sex!) was giving...

8th Febuary, 2009. Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. London An an expensive, high performance car is always a useful accessory when dealing with Sloane Rangers, or indeed with any other type of female, I drove to Bayswater in the Porsche. I parked as close as possible to Gemma's house, then rapped on the lion headed Georgian brass knocker on the front door. It opened to my knock so quickly someone must have been in the hallway. On first acquaintance the petite and slim Lady...

An Evening At Del Grandes Part 1

I read the note already waiting for us when we checked into the hotel; "Mr. & Mrs. Yorke, Welcome to St. Lucia, my driver will arrive at the hotel at 4pm". It was signed, Del Grande. It was our first visit to this lovely little island in the Windward Group and its purpose was twofold. The first was straight forward enough - a well earned vacation. The second was much more unusual and had everything to do with Del Grande's note. The car arrived promptly at 4 and took us north towards Marigot....

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 5 Paying the PiperChapter 37 Destinys Child

It was Gino Frascetti who gave me the idea of how to end my life, which I thought apposite as it was me who had helped him end his. Not for me the unedifying spectacle of blown out brains, or a tongue protruding corpse swinging from a rope, for some unsuspecting passer-bye to discover. Neither did I wish to inconvenience the travelling public, nor give some train driver nightmares, by flinging myself under a speeding express on the railway. I decided to take the Inuit way of death. Ice...

An Evening At Del Grandes Part 2

So far I had managed to suppress the tremoundous urge to ejaculate. Surrounded by so much erotic behaviour actually seemed to help me maintain control. No doubt that under different circumstances, I would have exploded into one of the lovely ladies long ago, but for now, I felt very pleased with myself. Gwen was getting more black cock than she could have dreamed of so I decided to seek out one of the female guests who had caught my eye earlier. I had noticed her immediately when we were...

After serving breakfast, and Pippa, in bed I had managed to put things right between us. I now had to telephone Professor Nicholls and apologise for my behaviour at the reunion, as it was he who had organised the event. The phone rang for some time but eventually the receiver was picked up. "Yes!" said a rather terse and abrupt sounding Professor. It sounded like he had been interrupted doing something rather important, and strenuous, judging by his heavy breathing. I identified myself and...

We flew out from RAF Brize Norton on the 14th November in some huge Yank aircraft, a Galaxy I think, they all look alike to me. As I sat in my relatively comfortable seat I thought of the last time I had gone to war; in a luxurious cruise liner no less, the QE II. Of course we had travelled squaddie class and didn't have white coated stewards waiting on us hand foot and finger. We had attended a corporate hospitality event the day before which had finished earlier than anticipated. I dropped the other girls off at their flats, and brought Megan and Maureen back to Iver. We had expected to return to York when our tour of duty in Bosnia was over, but the bastards at MoD sent us to bloody Catterick. There were two good reasons why that posting was not well received by the Erbs. The first because most of us were looking forward to re-establishing relationships with the fair maids of York, or in Russ Stilkins' case the fair maids of Nippon. The second reason was that, for those of us 'rejected' by 2 RGJ, it would be returning to face their derision. Since our...

The battalion did another 3 month deployment to Northern Ireland in September 1986, this time I did the full tour, but as we were based in Belfast we had a better time of it. Our main task was supporting the police; this was an easier job than rural patrolling in 'Bandit Country' but still wasn't without its dangers. The main difference was that we were able to fraternize with the locals, who were predominantly Unionists, without the constant fear of gun or bomb attack. There were always...

On September the 11th, 2001, I was in Colchester on the promotion to staff sergeant course. On the 11th of October I was on the Uzbekistan/Afghanistan border. I had flown out from RAF Brize Norton on the 17th of September, and the horror and shock of what I had seen on the television in the sergeants mess lounge at Kirkee barracks on the 11th was still imprinted on my brain. As I picked Pippa up from the armchair her mouth had fastened on mine like a love struck limpet. Our tongues delved into each other's mouths, sliding and slithering, as we gave ourselves over to the passion that had been building up since the day we had first met in the White Star cafe. Our teeth clashed; we gasped for air as we kissed, sucked, and licked. I carried her towards the staircase, in a rather ungainly fashion, her arms around my neck and her legs gripping around my waist like an...

I walked back to the barracks with my head spinning as I struggled to take in the fact that Emma had gone. She must have known a fortnight ago that it would be our last meeting. That could explain her somewhat feverish sexual activity- had she wanted something special to look back on? Who was the other employee from her firm who had disappeared with her? Phillipa hadn't said but I assumed it to be a male as I couldn't imagine Emma without a pliable male companion. Had he been shagging her...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 1 IntroductionsChapter 5

I never found out where Annalise came from, anything about her family, or even how old she was. I gathered that she had been born in the German Democratic Republic, or East Germany as it was generally known. I learned all my German from her, and eventually, when I spoke it well enough, I realized her accent was from the east. Germans often remarked on my Silesian accent. Lying in bed between your teacher's thighs, buried up to your balls in her warm welcoming twat, is the best way to learn a...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 4 Soldiering OnChapter 9 The ERB

A few weeks after my unintended appearance at the dogging Oscars with Dilys I was called into the company office. There was a new infantry battalion being formed, and I was one of the 'lucky' ones chosen to make up the numbers. It is a well-known fact that when MoD call for 'volunteers' for new units the battalions get rid of all those men who pose a bit of a problem to them; not just the stupid, but the barrack room lawyers, the womanisers, the drunks, or those like me, who had been...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 1 IntroductionsChapter 4

Two months before the day of our wedding Miriam told me that she had miscarried and had lost the baby. I was home on leave and at her house when she made the announcement. Her parents had made themselves scarce when I arrived, and I had thought they were leaving us love birds alone for our benefit, but of course they just wanted to be out of the way when the news was broken. "So there's no need for you to marry me now." Miriam said, looking gravely at me-she was a solemn little piece, not...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 5 Paying the PiperChapter 3 Preparations before battle

When I opened my eyes next morning the sun was streaming into the bedroom. After the calming vision of Dawn on Still Waters I had slept like a log; a long unbroken sleep with no more bad dreams. Although still nowhere near top form I felt much better than I had for days. Maggie entered the room dressed to go out. She sat on the bed and gave me a mouth full of her toothpaste flavoured tongue. "You've had a lovely long sleep, though at first you tossed and turned and cried out. Were you...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 5 Paying the PiperChapter 10 The Dark Side of the Loon

July 5th-20th, 2002. Plaistow. London I returned in triumph to The Crown with my supporters, and spent the evening in joyous celebration. People clapped me on the back, and bought me trays full of foaming pints and Jim Beam chasers. "Well done, Des." "Nice one, Dewey." "Good on yer, Dave." Friends from the army, childhood, and neighborhood kept me buoyant on a wave of euphoria and alcohol, and, when at last I was poured into my bed at 23 Kitchener Road, the morning star was...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 5 Paying the PiperChapter 29 Through the Eye of a Needle

The day after returning from Lanzarote I was spent; physically, emotionally and monetarily, but hopefully all only momentarily. I chuckled as the silly thought came into my mind. The person in front of me, in the queue of people waiting for the ATM outside Iver railway station to become vacant, looked around in surprise. "I'm glad someone can find something funny to laugh about, mate." I raised an eyebrow "Anything in particular got you down, pal, or is it just the trivial round and...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 2 RelationshipsChapter 3 Aldershot September December 1987 Life with Emma

The cab driver kept giving me funny looks as we drove through a deserted Aldershot. I could see him peering in the rear-view mirror at me but when I glanced at him he quickly looked away. He dropped me off outside the barracks and drove away shaking his head and muttering, "Squaddies today what are they like?" It was only when I got into my room and saw myself in the mirror that I realised what he had been looking at; my mouth was smeared with the vermilion lipstick from Emma's nipples....

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 5 Paying the PiperChapter 6 Advance to Contact

The next week passed with me going over in my mind moves to inflict the most damage on Martin Hodge in the shortest possible time. I also needed to make arrangements to obviate serving a long spell as a guest of Her Majesty. My defence stratagem was planned, but I required a top notch defence lawyer to bring the plan to fruition. As ever when I was in a bind I called on Harry Ledbetter. He was now a Lieutenant Colonel at the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall. In fact his spell in...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 4 Soldiering OnChapter 10 Bosnia 19934

The aircraft lurched to the left and rapidly lost altitude. I am only really happy flying when I have a parachute strapped to my back, and my heart had lurched with the aircraft. The airstrip we were heading for was surrounded by mountains, and the Hercules' pilots had to weave a perilous approach into the place. Eventually the plane levelled off and started its descent. It was the tenth anniversary of Miriam and my wedding, and I had hoped to celebrate the event in the bosom of my family,...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 2 RelationshipsChapter 6 The Courtship of Phillipa Goddard 28th December 1987

At nine precisely I was ringing her doorbell, there was a bit of a wait until Pippa opened the door. "Sorry to keep you waiting Dewey," she smiled as she said my name, "I was washing my hair." She had a towel wrapped around her head like a turban and was wearing black slacks, a long sleeved shirt worn outside of the slacks and a woollen waistcoat; I caught the scent of shampoo and flowers as she kissed my cheek. I followed her into the hall. "There's coffee in the pot in the kitchen,"...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 4 Soldiering OnChapter 14 Spoils of war

Two days after the 'incident', Bravo 6 was deployed to Tizer — well that is as close a pronunciation as we could make of the name of the town. I say 'Bravo 6', but Big Ben and #1 section, accompanied by Danko the Bosnian Serb interpreter, were actually in Split, where the HQ of British forces in Bosnia was situated, as well as the HQ of the UN observers. A full blown UN inquiry had been launched into the 'incident' at the behest of Yugoslavia/ Serbia, and Russia. This was a blatant...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 4 Soldiering OnChapter 18 Mirror Lake and Dawn on Still Waters

The horse I rode into the mountains was called 'Peggy', short for Pegasus, which was quite appropriate as it was the name of the flying horse on the Parachute Regiment's badge. Peggy was a docile comfortable mount, and over time must have been ridden by many inexperienced riders, as she didn't rear or buck, not that we met anything that would cause her to do any of those things, but of course horses have a habit of seeing and hearing things that humans don't. As we rode Eddy told me...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 4 Soldiering OnChapter 20 The Recruiting Officer

The Army Recruiting Office (ARO) in Reading was situated in a recently pedestrianized area of the town, near to the railway station. There were plenty of retail shops, restaurants and pubs in the vicinity, and as it was the run up to Christmas the place was crowded and bustling. With the Christmas lights sparkling the whole area scintillated with festive feeling. Unfortunately, I did not share the seasonal bonhomie. Soon after arriving in Reading I had rung home, to give my new address to my...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 4 Soldiering OnChapter 22 Just a gigolo

"There's many a good tune played on an old fiddle." Gervase Brazen had made this pronouncement when he heard I'd joined the firm. "Well, I'm not looking forward to have to kiss some leathery old cheek, or waltz around a dance floor with a partner on a Zimmer frame." Gervase laughed. "The women you will be escorting may be in their sixties, and older, but over the years they have looked after themselves. They have been pampered by the best cosmeticians, beauticians, and plastic...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 5 Paying the PiperChapter 2 Rest and Recuperation

2045 hours 2nd May, 2002; 23 Kitchener Road, Plaistow, London. It was dark when I came to. My 'genuine' Rolex watch, bought off a barrow in Petticoat Lane for £25, showed I'd been out for almost three hours. Everything hurt: my head, my leg, my ribs, but most of all my pride. My many extra marital relationships during our marriage debarred me from claiming the moral high ground when discovering Miriam indulging in adultery. She was merely mirroring my behaviour, and many would say...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 4 Soldiering OnChapter 4 The Shiftas

There was a heightened sense of urgency when we reassembled at Camp Kenyatta. Harry re-joined us a day later, having spent the week in Nairobi, and I would bet money that he had been poodle faking in earnest, as he had a partly concealed love bite on his neck, and a look of sated sexual satisfaction on his face. The information coming out of Somalia indicated that a large number of Shifta bands would be crossing the border at the beginning of December. There was the possibility that armoured...

Over the Hills and Faraway Book 5 Paying the PiperChapter 17 None but the Brave

I was informed in late November 2002 I would be awarded the Military Cross in the New Year's Honours list of January 2003, for 'gallant and meritorious service in Afghanistan'. The blurb went on about 'coolly fighting off an attack when outnumbered, and saving the life of a comrade', and all that bollocks. In fact I was unconscious when I fell on top of Ergash Vakil, thus saving him from being spattered by shrapnel. Billy Turner, who had saved both Ergash's and my life by arriving in...
