Before we proceed, I need to ask my son some questions, Carol decided, some very pointed questions.

"You mentioned you believed it wasn't normal for you to become sexually excited about me. If you remember, I disagreed. I think it's normal for a teenager to be curious about the opposite sex, and a parent or sibling is the handiest individual around to satisfy that curiosity as long as things don't go too far. Curiosity is one thing, but what we're doing is a giant leap from curiosity. And what you're suggesting takes it a step further. How far do you want to go with this, David?" She hoped her expression looked serious, but not too serious.

He blushed and shrugged. "I don't know. I do know I'd like to perfect my sense of touch during my trips. I have this strange and unique ability, Mom, and I feel obligated to perfect it as much as I can."

"Do you think what we've done so far is incestuous?"

His blush deepened. "Yeah, but it was incestuous when I looked up Darla's dress not long ago and saw her panties. I was lying on the floor at the time, and couldn't resist the view she offered." And a few other times when I saw her naked breasts. "I believe that instance and our situation fall within the limits you consider normal. It isn't as though I'm actually touching you. I'm an entity without form or substance during my flights of consciousness."

"You have enough substance I actually felt a mouth on my breast."

"Yeah."

"How do you feel about incest, David?"

"I think it's wrong."

"I feel the same way. If I lowered my dress right now and pulled your mouth to my breast, would that be incestuous?"

His eyes widened. "God, yes!"

"What about while I'm lying on my bed half-naked with my breasts out of my dress, and you place an imaginary mouth on my breast?"

"It's incestuous, but for some reason it's not the same. If I placed my mouth on your breast right now, I'd feel really guilty, like I'd done something very wrong. Last night, I felt no guilt."

"I see." Am I rationalizing like him? Probably, she thought, but I feel the same way. She decided to use guilt as their bellwether. "Okay, I'll help you but only on one condition. You must promise to tell me if you feel the least amount of guilt, and I'll do the same, and we'll bring this experiment to a screeching halt. And let's start simple like a touch on my hand and on my cheek; then we'll proceed to a soft kiss, and we'll talk again to see if we should take it further. Okay?"

He nodded enthusiastically.

"And I need another promise from you. It has to do with my privacy. Will you promise to touch me whenever you're visiting me?" When he hesitated, she added, "I don't know if I'll act any differently if I know you're watching, but I want and need the option."

Finally he nodded. "I understand. Okay, I promise."

She doubted he'd keep the promise, but most of the time he'd do as she asked, and that was better than nothing. "Good. Let's get started. We have a half hour before Darla gets home."

"Maybe not. If she's been cut from the gymnastic team..."

"What? Why would she be cut?"

Open mouth; insert both feet, he thought. "I don't know. She mentioned last night being cut was a possibility."

She pursed her lips. "I'll speak with her about it later. Okay, I'm going to my room. You go to yours. If I leave my room, it means I've heard Darla come home, and your consciousness can return to your body."

"Mom, go ahead and talk with me while we're doing this. I can't hear you, but sometimes I understand, like reading lips, or something." David wondered if his nose would grow like Pinocchio's. He didn't know why, but he wasn't ready yet to inform his mother he could hear during his excursions.

After she entered her room, she locked the door. She'd play sexual games with him, but only when they were physically in separate rooms. Instead of lying on the bed, she stood in the center of her room.

"All right, let's start if you're ready," she said looking up at the ceiling. She knew he was in the room but was still surprised when she felt a heavy-handed touch on her hand, which caused her to jump. She giggled, definitely nervous. "If that was meant to be a soft touch, it was too forceful by ten. Try again and make it softer." She rubbed her arm softly with her other hand to demonstrate what he couldn't hear.

The next touch was softer, but still not soft enough. "Still too strong. Lighten up the touch a little more... yes, like that. Perfect." Suddenly she felt a soft touch on her cheek. She took her hand to her cheek, expecting to feel his hand, but whatever had touched her couldn't be touched itself. The hand caressed her cheek and the side of her neck, and she felt herself becoming aroused again. Careful, she admonished herself. This is a scientific experiment, not a make-out party. She enjoyed the caress, though. It was feather-like, soft and sensuous. "Nice," she said out loud. Male hands. Her son's hands were caressing her. She shivered with passion.

David studied his mother's expression. It was the same look he'd seen when he'd visited her while she was in the guest bath. He'd seen it other times, too, and suddenly he recognized it for what it was. Lust! His soft touches had aroused his mother. Using another imaginary hand, he slid it softly onto the opposite shoulder from the side of her neck he was caressing, and then let his fingers trail down her silky, bare arm. He agreed with his mother. Nice! Very nice!

But it was time to test a firmer touch. He wanted to experience all forms of touching, so he pushed more forcefully against her shoulder.

"Easy," she said as she nearly fell over. "Not so hard."

Through trial and error, he soon controlled the touch of his fingers as well as he did when he wasn't on a trip; that is until he gripped her arm.

"Ouch!" she exclaimed.

He wanted to apologize, but he certainly couldn't speak during a journey. Or could he? He'd never considered becoming verbal when he was out of his body, but then no senses except sight traveled with him not many days ago. Like taste and the perfection of the sense of smell, he'd leave speaking for another day.

Time to kiss.

Carol felt what she assumed were her son's imaginary lips. They didn't feel like lips, though. They applied steady pressure, and his lips didn't move on hers. She tried to move her lips a little to give him an idea of how his lips should react to hers, but nothing changed. The pressure wasn't too hard or too soft, just pressure, not like a kiss at all. She'd received better mother/son kisses than the one...

Suddenly it dawned on her that perhaps David didn't know how to kiss. He'd been on a few group-type dates, no not dates, more like get-togethers between friends that included both sexes.

She stepped back from the kiss and left her room, finally knocking on his bedroom door. "David, are you back amongst the living?"

"Yeah."

"Meet me in the kitchen."

They sat around the kitchen table and talked about his touches, and she tried to explain what it felt like to be touched by his imaginary fingers. Finally she brought up the kiss and told him it had not felt like a kiss at all.

"David, have you done much kissing?"

He blushed and shook his head. "Only with relatives."

"Hmm. Okay, in the interest of science, I'm going to give you a kissing lesson. Are you up for it?" Oops, wrong question. He's probably erect right now. She furtively glanced at his crotch. No, he looked normal.

"Yes! Gee, thanks, Mom. I have a date with Ellen on Saturday, and I was really worried she might want me to kiss her, and I haven't a clue."

Carol laughed. "Stand up," she said as she rose to her feet. "Good. Now put your arms around my waist." He complied, but held his body well away from hers. A quick glance indicated why. "Don't worry about an erection. We'll talk about that during a separate conversation. Pull me up against you. Yes, perfect. Now lean down and kiss me, a soft kiss, just brush your lips against mine."

She could barely feel his lips on her, but it definitely felt like a kiss. Her lips tingled when he leaned back, and his erection was a problem for her. It increased her arousal, so she tried to ignore it, which wasn't easy.

"That was good, David. Okay, on with the lesson. There are different kinds of kisses. You've felt relative-type kisses. They're merely expressions of affection, a greeting, if you will." His damned hard-on was driving her crazy. "Adjust your erection so it doesn't poke me, David."

Blushing, he manipulated it until it was flat against his belly and didn't poke out so much.

"Thanks." God, I'm dripping, she thought. She wasn't sure this kissing lesson was such a good idea, but she was committed. "Besides a soft kiss like you just gave me, there's what I call a romantic. A romantic kiss shows love, a stronger emotion than affection. Then there's a passionate kiss, which we'll talk about later. A romantic kiss involves moving your lips around a little, but leave your tongue in your mouth. Reserve involvement of your tongue for a passionate kiss. A romantic kiss is heartfelt and full of emotion, and to achieve a romantic kiss, you need to put your body and soul into it. Also soft kisses, can evolve into romantic ones, and romantic kisses can definitely become passionate. If you have your father's kissing genes, or mine for that matter, you shouldn't have any problem with a romantic kiss. Your father was the best kisser I ever knew. Ready?"

"I guess."

"Kiss me then, you fool." Which was the wrong thing to say before a romantic kiss. The both cracked up with laughter, which was just as well. The sexual tension had become so heavy it could have been cut with a knife.

The laughter didn't do anything with her state of arousal, though, except increase it as his erection rubbed and moved against her when his body shook with mirth. Sighing, she gazed up at him. He was so tall and handsome. God, she loved this boy, this young man.

"Let's try again," he said.

She nodded, and when he leaned down she moved into his embrace. He started too forcefully, but with body language she was able to push him back a little. When her lips moved, his moved, too. She opened her eyes and noticed his were open, gazing at her. Pulling back, she said, "You're not getting with the kiss, David. You're being too intellectual about it. This time close your eyes and feel, just feel. Understand? Don't let thoughts intrude. Don't try to remember my instructions. Kissing is natural. If too much effort is used, it ruins the kiss."

"I think I understand."

He leaned again and this time had her moaning into his mouth before he finished. She hadn't been kissed so thoroughly since his father was killed. The kiss went well beyond romantic, although he'd followed her instructions about keeping his tongue in his mouth. The kiss started tentatively, and he melted into the embrace. When he let the kiss take over his entire being, she did the same. Good gracious, the boy curled her toes!

"Whew! Now that was a kiss!" she exclaimed when it ended. Her breathing had become heavy and the blood in her veins felt like hot oil. If her pussy was dripping earlier, it had to be running a stream now. It was time for the last example, but should she be the one to demonstrate a passionate kiss? She wanted to kiss him passionately, but...

When a car door slammed outside, the difficult decision became unnecessary. Darla had arrived. Carol glanced at the clock. It had been slightly more than a half hour since the experiment and lesson began. My how time flies when you're enjoying yourself, she thought.

"Darla's home, David. I don't really want her to know about our experiments and lessons."

He cleared his throat, let his arms fall to his side and stepped back. Blushing, he turned and rushed from the room, but not before Carol saw the large wet stain at the front of his pants. Had her son ejaculated during the kiss? No, she decided. She hadn't felt him jerking or moaning with pleasure. He probably merely emitted copious amounts of pre-cum. She suspected he'd quickly take care of the problem in his room. Chuckling, she guessed five minutes tops would relieve his tension. Hers was another problem. She'd need to wait until she went to bed later.

The Stanley family sat around the dinner table and talked with each other while they ate. Carol was amazed at how well David and Darla were getting along the last little while. Was the change permanent? Not likely. She waited for one of them to say something that would set the other one off, but they remained friendly throughout the meal.

When Darla walked in the door from school, she'd announced she'd made it through the last cut for the gymnastic team, and when her mother had questioned her if she'd ever had a doubt, Darla had given her a strange look and said, "Not really."

Then the dinner conversation turned to a subject Carol wanted to avoid. David asked her if he could take the test for a driver's license. He'd been sixteen for about four months, but she'd refused to let him drive because of the possibility he could slump over the wheel unconscious.

"I can control the trips now, Mom. I won't fall asleep at the wheel, and I've been through driver's education at the high school and passed with flying colors. I'm the only sixteen-year-old I know who doesn't drive. I have a date Saturday night, and..."

"You have a date?" Darla asked.

"Yeah, I asked Ellen to the movies. I can't drive, though, so she has to do the driving. I felt like a little kid when I told her we had transportation problems."

Strange, Carol thought. Darla doesn't look happy about David dating Ellen. What's going on? Then she questioned how she felt about him going on a date alone with a girl. She'd declared years ago that her children could not go out on alone dates until age sixteen, and David had followed the rule. In fact, he'd never pushed her to change the rule. Darla had not been so obliging. She'd already had a couple of arguments with her daughter about the rule, but she'd remained steadfast. Could she trust David to stay out of trouble? Deep down she knew how much trouble he got into had more to do with his date than it did him. Like most teenaged boys, he'd go as far as Ellen would let him. She made a mental note to question Darla later about Ellen's level of sexual experience and readiness.

"Okay," Carol said, "here's what we'll do. If you don't make an unscheduled trip for two weeks, you can take the tests."

David groaned. "Make it a week."

"I'll be out of town at a trade show starting Wednesday next week, returning late Sunday night. That's a week and a half from now. Besides, I won't be here to take you to the DMV until I return anyway. Okay?"

David nodded.

Joe glanced toward his daughter cowering against the passenger door of the Escalade. They'd just passed through the gates to Carol and David's estate en route to Nora's apartment. Careful to avoid eye contact with him, Nora hadn't said a word about her blatant exhibition. She felt his eyes on her, and without looking at him, and in a meek tone of voice, said, "I'm sorry, Pops. I went too far again." "Yeah, you did." "For what it's worth, I didn't plan what happened....

"I love him, Pops, and he says he loves me," Nora said to answer her father's query. They were en route to Carol's house to have dinner with Carol and David. Pops was driving David's Escalade. "Why do I sense you're not convinced?" Joe asked. "Probably because I'm not." "Why?" "Lots of reasons. I don't really know David that well. I know him well enough to be in lust with him, but love is another issue. I'm not like you, Pops. I don't fall in love at first sight. Also,...

"Knowing you, Mom, I predict you have a plan to get Joe and Nora together?" Darla said. "Tell us about it." "No plan," Carol said. "Being the manipulative bitch I am, I did have a plan, or rather the bare bones of a plan, but..." Carol shrugged. "What can I say? I love him. I won't be a party to any plot to get Joe and Nora together." Darla looked surprised. "Are you saying because you love him you don't want him to have sex with anyone but you?" "Not at all. Joe and Darla...

The horse buyers from Arizona occupied a large, horseshoe-shaped booth in Denny's. They were chatting and eating breakfast when Joe interrupted several simultaneous conversations. "Darla, I've been thinkin'. If David is successful and buys Brigand, we should consider going Straight Egyptian at the ranch and sell off our Egyptian-Related horses." "Please, explain, Joe," Darla said. "Brigand is a Straight Egyptian. He'd become our senior stallion. Our two best mares are Straight...

Carol soaked in water as hot as she could stand. The fragrances from the bath oils she'd used filled the air, and candles provided the only light in the room. She leaned her head back and tried to relax. Before going to her room, she'd stopped and knocked on her son's door and asked him to honor her privacy tonight. She needed to think, and she didn't want to deal with wondering if he were hovering where he could see her or touch her. He'd promised to respect her privacy. Memories...

When David checked on his mother, she was sound asleep. He hovered over her face and gave her a soft, goodnight kiss, and then watched her sleep for a while. Like Darla, when she slept she looked so childlike and innocent. She rolled over and the sheet fell away. She was naked. Her voluptuous, naked body, unlike her face, looked neither childlike nor innocent. He caressed the side of her face with feather-like touches and kissed her neck just below her ear and suddenly realized what he'd...

Darla found Flint in the gym. David had told her that their head of security worked out with free weights and rode a stationary bicycle most mornings. "Not just when it rains," David said. "He hates running." Flint was exercising on the bench press. She marveled at the weight he was pressing: one hundred pounds on each side. He was sweating, and his muscles bulged. She sucked in air, amazed that his intense masculinity affected her so much. Flint was more like Pops than David. Rugged....

The one. Hanna. Knowing her name thrilled him. He felt closer to her already, and he hadn't touched her yet. He didn't know her last name and didn't care, didn't really want to know it. Hanna was enough. Hanna. The hunt was done; the stalk begun, and the urge was upon him. Flint flopped on a sofa in Darla's great room. He was wiped out. Colors were brighter, but they didn't glow with neon-like clarity - not yet. Sounds were crisp and clear, but their volume wasn't much above normal. If Baldy - he hadn't told her his name, and hairless as he was, in her mind, she'd nicknamed him Baldy - didn't return soon, she'd surely wet the bed. She was conflicted. She wanted Baldy to return so she could pee, but he'd raped her repeatedly the previous night, and she feared he'd rape her again if he returned. If he returned. If he didn't, she'd surely die. Without realizing it, survival had become Carrie's prime...

Flights of Consciousness Book II Time TrippingChapter 25

By the time David's airplane landed at Scottsdale Airpark early Sunday afternoon, everyone wanted to spend some time alone. It was if they'd all had too much of a good thing. After doing some laps in his swimming pool to take out some kinks brought about by the flight, David stretched out on a chaise lounge by the pool and phased out. He wanted to get to know the cabal members a little better, perhaps give them some more grief, and he needed to check on his investments to anticipate any...

Flights of Consciousness Book III Charitable Good DeedsChapter 3

David stood next to the glass wall in the great room of his home that gave him a view of mountain next to the compound. He nursed a cocktail while he watched the falling sun alter the hues and shadows on the mountain's craggy surfaces. Deep in thought, he wondered how his wife reacted when his mother told her that she was pregnant. A part of him dreaded the possibility of some hurt feelings, and another part of him believed his wife could handle anything. He'd learned to admire the...

Flights of Consciousness Book III Charitable Good DeedsChapter 5

David watched as his sister nuzzled her face between his wife's shapely thighs. No matter how many times he witnessed the beauty of the event, it never failed to excite him. He fisted his very hard erection. "Fuck her," Nora said to David. "Fuck your sister. Poke her cunt with your long one." David rubbed his hand between Darla's legs. She was wet. Ready. But he wanted a taste of her nectar before poking her. She squealed happily as his tongue rasped up through her slit, lapping up...

"David is on the way with a candidate for a stable hand," Joe said as he hung up the phone. His wife looked pale — morning sickness, he assumed. "Are you up to meeting her?" "Her?" Carol said, looking surprised. "Yes, a woman named Tammy Wilkes, around thirty-five years old, David says, currently homeless, a drunk, but on the wagon. I'd like your opinion before I hire her, but if you're not up to it, I'll speak with her and have her come back when you're feeling better." "I'm...

The dinner conversation flowed around the excellence of the meal, the foster-home system, and the War on Terror. They occupied the dining room in David's home. June had announced that she would prepare the meal that night in a kitchen with which she was familiar, and would cook subsequent meals in Darla's kitchen and serve them in the large dining room after more personnel occupied the compound. Darla sat to David's left, Nora to his right. Flint sat next to Darla, and Patty sat between...

Dwayne Holt, Darla's driver/bodyguard, was big, part black, and shaved his head bald. He wore a prosthetic hand on the stub of his left forearm. He rarely wore the fake hand. He preferred a hook, he told David. For reasons Holt didn't specify, he'd worn the prosthetic hand for his first day on the job, and David had not asked him ask why. Holt was Darla's driver, but he wasn't driving for Darla at the moment. He sat behind the wheel of the Escalade, and David occupied the passenger...

Flights of Consciousness Book III Charitable Good DeedsChapter 21

In his office, David phased out and connected with Gordon Wilson in the present. Wilson was taking a shower, his head soapy with shampoo. David created an invisible hand and turned the faucet to cold. Wilson bellowed and jumped, quickly adjusting the temperature of the water. When it was the correct temperature and after Wilson stepped under the water again, David turned the faucet to scalding hot. Wilson screamed and cursed, and then adjusted the water so he could get the soap out of his...

"How did this happen?" David said to Nora as he rushed to his office. "I don't know. I said my colleague screwed up, but I could be wrong about that. Peck is armed, and he fired on the assault team." "I'm in my office now," David said as he locked the door. "I'll phase out and fix this right now." He ended the call, sat in his executive chair, and his consciousness left his body, connecting with Peck. The violent pimp had a gun pressed against a girl's head. Another girl lay...

Flights of Consciousness Book III Charitable Good DeedsChapter 26

To assuage his guilt over Wilson's possible assassination, David decided to warn the wife beater of his pending death. Wilson had changed hotels, which was immaterial. David connected with the individual, not a location. The disembodied consciousness determined Wilson's new room number, found a nearby empty room and called Wilson on the telephone. "Leave me alone!" Wilson screamed when he answered the call. "I cancelled the contracts. Just leave me the hell alone!" "I figured you for...

While their respective spouses (Nicole and Tom) were in the foyer/sitting room of the suite, Pru and Charles took advantage of the situation.Pru marveled, “When Tom reserved this suite, I was not in favor of renting a whole suite. He argued that the upgrade was part of the whole travel package. We should be picking up our rental car tomorrow, but if that doesn’t happen because of the weather, I could stay here another night.”Charles echoed the sentiment, answering, “Yeah. We already notified...

Flights of Consciousness Book II Time TrippingChapter 6

After his communion with the dark-haired beauty in New Orleans, exhilarating and satisfying as it was, he'd still sensed the experience was less than perfect. It troubled him when he couldn't immediately define the imperfection. He relived the event and previous events daily, but in a fractured manner, certainly not in sequence from beginning to end. In fact, he purposefully avoided a sequential review, preferring a random, in-depth reassessment of each moment within each element of the...

Am I walking bowlegged like Pops? Nora asked herself with a delighted, school-girl giggle as she walked through the parking garage connected to the Phoenix FBI Field Office. If not, I should be. For the first time in a very long time, probably since her wild days while in college, she felt like she'd had all the sex she wanted and needed. What a weekend! It started Friday night when she went dancing with David and didn't stop until a couple of hours ago when he dropped her off at her...

"Now what?" Joe asked. Nora forced her avid gaze from her father's throbbing erection to his face, a face with a questioning, concerned expression, but his eyes were full of lust. "You have a beautiful cock, Pops," she said as her hand continued to stroke its length. Now what? he'd asked. She didn't have an answer. She hadn't thought beyond seeing and touching his erection. Her mind had focused on those goals only, and now they'd been achieved, she realized she didn't have another...

Flights of Consciousness Book II Time TrippingChapter 19

Wow, Colleen thought as she watched David and his lady approach Carol's patio and hot tub. Although stark naked, the striking couple strode boldly, both obviously comfortable with their bodies, and well they should be. David looked like Michelangelo's statue of the biblical character with his name. What a hunk! Nora moved like a sleek, golden cougar, lean and smooth, graceful and regal. Nora took Colleen's breath away. What a beauty! Colleen couldn't decide who excited her more, the man...

Darla sat in the back of the airplane. Little George was sleeping in a car seat across the aisle. Darla's mother and Joe sat in the two seats in front of her. David was flying the plane, and Nora occupied the co-pilot's seat. Two sets of lovers and me, Darla thought, and the thought saddened her. "I loved you, Steve," she whispered so softly she knew no one would hear her. And I thought I loved our life. For a while, I even convinced myself I fit, but little things became big things....

"Stupid question," Joe said with aplomb as he sat on the sofa and started to pull off a boot. Nora jumped up to help him. He'd managed to pull off one boot before she straddled his other leg. Placing his stocking-covered foot on her bare bottom, he pushed when she pulled on the boot. It came off with a sucking sound. "Now that's a sight to remember," Darla said laughing. "Help me get rid of the rest of his clothes," Nora said as she unbuckled his belt and popped the top button on...

Flights of ConsciousnessChapter 6

It was five-thirty in the morning, and the air was brisk and clean. David's body felt rested but vibrant. He'd extended his morning swim from fifty laps to sixty. Last night after another exhilarating incestuous, psychic suck with his mother, he'd continued to perfect his senses while his consciousness roamed his home. He'd visited Barbara and her home as well, but his numerous attempts to connect with Coach Connors had all failed. Naked, he was air-drying his body after his swim, when...

Carol expected to hear screaming and yelling when she returned to the house. Instead she heard only silence. She checked out by the pool, but the pool area was vacant, so she walked toward the kid's wing of the house. As she neared Darla's bedroom, she could hear her sobbing. The girl was lying on her bed curled up in the fetal position and crying as hard as Carol had ever seen her cry. She sat on the edge of the bed and pulled her daughter into her arms. Darla clung to her like Carol was...

David had never felt so mortified. His sister, as payback for invading her privacy, had him standing on display naked while she was dressed, and she had just insisted that he bend over and spread the cheeks of his ass. He felt her reach between his legs, and he jumped like he'd been goosed. "Calm down," she said, "and stay bent over. I want to check out your balls." She fondled them gently. "I ought to squeeze them until you scream for mercy, like you squeezed my nipple. Remember? You...

Flights of ConsciousnessChapter 11

When Darla and her mother arrived home, Darla went searching for David and found him in his bedroom. "Mother wants to talk with us." David nodded. "Come here, first." "What?" David pulled her into his arms and gazed at her with all the love he felt inside him. "I broke a promise this afternoon. I connected with you and didn't touch you. I apologize." "When?" "While you were talking with Mother in the car." Immediately furious, she tried to twist out of his arms, but he held...

Flights of ConsciousnessChapter 12

My son is losing his innocence, Carol thought sadly when David walked into the kitchen the next morning. He looked energetic and pleased with himself, not shamefaced. "Did you fuck her?" Carol asked bluntly. Good, he's not so jaded he can't blush. "No, of course not." "From the sound of things, you did everything but," Carol said. "I'd have thought, out of respect for me, you could have waited until I went to bed before you filled the house full of moans and groans. You'd better...

Darla opened her eyes and glanced at the clock on her nightstand. Five o'clock. Expelling a small groan, she wished she could roll over and go back to sleep, but she'd had all the sleep her body needed and then some. Besides, she had to pee - badly. Usually, she relieved herself just before going to sleep, but last night... well, last night was different. Turning, she studied her sleeping brother lying next to her. He looked so innocent when he slept, almost pretty. But innocence and David...

Before his first class started, David stepped into a restroom, locked a stall door behind him, and arranged himself on the john so he wouldn't fall over when he became unconscious. His mother was just exiting the Hyatt Regency when he connected with her. After he touched her, she said, "There you are, you naughty boy. I hoped you'd contact me before school started. Walk with me to the convention center, or float, or whatever it is you do, and we can talk on the way. Did your old mom...

Arriving from the east, the plane landed facing a beautiful sunset that spread across the western horizon. Carol stood and gathered her things. Besides her purse, she carried a briefcase full of orders. The show in Albuquerque had been an astonishing success, due in no small part to Denise. The young woman's talent for sales had amazed Carol. Saturday evening after the show, Carol and Denise had met in the hotel bar for a drink, and Carol had asked her if she'd work all of Carol's trade...

David watched as his mother hurried after her husband. Nora needs to know about this, he thought. George fussed and tried to run away. Darla grabbed him and plopped him on her lap, telling him to sit. "What a mess," David muttered. "You're feeling guilty again, aren't you?" Darla said, frowning at him. "Every time there's a glitch in our family, you blame yourself; you say if you weren't the way you are that we'd be normal. Well, I tried normal, and normal isn't all it's...

Flint drove away from the Stanley compound wondering what he'd gotten himself into. If it includes Darla Stanley, I don't care, he reflected. Incest! She fucks her brother, her mother, her mother's husband, and her brother's wife. He grinned. And from all indications, she isn't completely opposed to fucking me. That, or she's a tease. He didn't believe she was a tease. Time would tell. She was his employer. She'd have to seduce him, not the other way around. Like my sister when we...

David and Nora sat on a sofa in the Hyatt lobby talking quietly. Nora said, "In a few minutes a Lebanese named Yuusif Hashem will come into the hotel, walk directly to the elevator and take one of the cars to an upper floor. The room where he meets another Arab named Widdaud Ahmad changes for each meeting. I'll point Yuusif out, and you can connect with him tonight and wander around in his past, present, and future. As black-eyed beauties go, Rima Qassem had to be in the top ten worldwide, David decided. He glanced at Nora, who gave him a coy smile. Was his wife testing his commitment to remain faithful by putting him next to Rima Qassem on a daily basis? He chuckled under his breath when he thought of asking Rima to wear the chadri, the full-length gown and veil required by the Taliban in Afghanistan whenever women left their households. Rima crossed her shapely legs. She certainly wasn't wearing the...

Gloria Temple had been David's accountant for five years. She was a CPA and owned and operated her own firm. She had other clients, but she'd always treated David as if he were her only client. David adored her, and she returned his admiration with equal affection and respect. She was about fifty years old, chubby, short, and a ball of energy. Because setting up Ridley had taken the entire morning, David had called her, and she'd agreed to meet Flint and him for a late lunch. While they...
