Jamie had an internal debate with himself the next morning as he ate breakfast. Skibo was an absolutely fabulous location, but it hadn't worked out as he had planned things and it left him and the girls kind of isolated. He now wondered whether it might not be better to move down to Fort William to be with the others. He decided it was only fair to ask the girls what they thought.

"Girls, I've been wondering. Do you think we're too cut off here at Skibo? Maybe it would be better if we were working alongside the others at Fort William?" he asked them.

He was surprised by the force of their response. All three were dead set against the idea, believing that they should maintain Skibo until after the terrorists were all out of the picture. They indicated that there was no knowing when someone could turn out to be a traitor or a 'plant' amongst the Fort William survivors and they felt far more comfortable with the idea of Jamie being with them at Skibo each night.

Jamie shrugged his shoulders at what seemed like a pretty thin reason for remaining isolated. He told the girls what his plans were for the day. He wanted to pick up Stuart from Fort William and make a trip to the Dreghorn barracks to visit the teenagers who had liberated themselves. Gaz's message indicated the need for some organisational skills and Jamie knew Stuart would be in his element. He kissed each of the girls before he set off, once more finding Debbie and Christine vying with his sister to demonstrate their affection for him. As a result of the three passionate hugs he found it difficult to walk comfortably out to the Lynx.

"Okay you two, what are you playing at with my brother?" Laura asked, but not unkindly.

Debbie's face grew red and Christine giggled nervously.

"I'm serious you guys. What's going on here?" Laura repeated.

The two girls looked at each other and nodded.

"We watched you both last night, we couldn't help it, it was so hot," said Christine.

"We, ah, we got a little carried away ourselves it was so hot and the thing is, we really wanted to feel Jamie inside us too. He looked so big and you were obviously enjoying what he was doing. We got a bit jealous," said Debbie.

"You must be kidding! Are you asking me to share Jamie with you both?" Laura asked, disbelief in her voice.

"Would that be so bad? I mean, there's a need to try and rebuild the population somehow. Haven't we all got a responsibility as girls to get pregnant as soon as possible?" asked Christine.

"But I thought both of you were gay. Why are you suddenly interested in Jamie?" Laura asked.

"See! You're making our point for us. We just grew close when we were trying to comfort each other when we were in the mosque. Neither of us has ever thought of a girl before, but the situation probably did some funny things to us. When we saw Jamie's, err, cock, we knew we were normal and we both wanted to feel what you were feeling," said Debbie.

Laura was taken aback at the obvious depth of feeling from the other girls about Jamie. She still didn't feel threatened in any way and, in a strange kind of sense, she understood their need. She was acutely aware of how she relied on Jamie for her security, how she was felt his maleness was somehow an anchor in the turbulence of everything she had been through. It wasn't a surprise to her that the other girls would be feeling something similar. There was something else that she was curious about however.

"Emm, what does the girl, girl thing feel like?" she asked the other two.

When Jamie arrived at Fort William to pick up Stuart he found the town very organised already. All of the survivors had found accommodation and Stuart had already begun the skills audit that Jamie had suggested. He told Jamie it had been a fairly easy job to allocate people to different roles so that they could have some order in their lives. The teenagers had been split into four main groups - defence, food scavenging, power and water.

Stuart explained how he was insisting that every teenager continue to practice daily with their weapons and a firing range had been established on the quayside overlooking Loch Linnhe. Rotas had been drawn up so that the defence force worked shifts to make sure they had plenty of sleep and remained alert.

The skills audit had already thrown up some potentially useful people. Stuart had found someone else who had some experience of flying, admittedly she hadn't flown solo yet, but she had the fundamentals down. There was no shortage of teenagers with technical expertise to match that of the 'geek' who had fixed up the sound system on the Lynx the previous day. Stuart had also found several other people who had been army cadets and he had immediately put them in charge of the weapons training. Three boys had quite a bit of experience of mechanics, having pottered around dismantling and re-building car engines and various household appliances. There was even the son of a Church of Scotland Minister who knew the bible backwards and was happy to lead church services.

"Perhaps the best find of all though," said Stuart, "is your friend Lee Chan. He claims to be a strategist."

Jamie actually laughed at this.

"Some strategist. I mean he was nearly wiped out along with the entire group he was with. That's hardly strategic," Jamie replied.

"He said that himself when he told me he was a strategist, but the problem was that none of the group would listen to his advice. He's studied strategy and is heavily into war gaming. He keeps going on about the 'Art of War' apparently it's a book written by some geezer called Sun Tzu or something," Stuart explained.

"Well, there might be an opportunity to test out his abilities today," said Jamie. "I really came to pick you up to come with me on another little trip."

"Where to this time and what are we doing?" Stuart asked, his interest piqued.

"You're not going to believe this, but after we flew over Edinburgh and Glasgow yesterday, the teenagers at the Dreghorn barracks turned on their captors. They killed seven and 'arrested' eighteen more. According to an e-mail I got last night, there are nearly eight hundred heavily armed teenagers now in control of the barracks and they don't have a clue what to do next," said Jamie.

"You're joking!" exclaimed Stuart.

"Nope, we now have around thirteen hundred survivors on our side," grinned Jamie.

The two boys went in search of Lee Chan and explained to him what the situation was. Lee was just as excited as they were and agreed that he would like to go with them to the barracks.

The trip to Edinburgh was a short one and Jamie approached Dreghorn with some caution. From what they could see on the ground there was no sign of anyone who looked remotely like a terrorist, but just to be on the safe side, Jamie dropped Stuart and Lee outside the camp and then took the Lynx up to watch what happened. When he saw Stuart make the same sign to wave him off, he knew that it was safe to land inside the barracks and he took the Lynx down once more.

It looked as if the entire population of the barracks had come out to meet the pilot of the helicopter that had flown above them playing music the day before. Jamie was hoisted up and tossed over and over into the air. He was red with embarrassment over the way the teenagers were treating him as if he was some kind of hero. Eventually his shouting led to him being set back down on his feet. Jamie turned slowly in a full circle, taking in the expectant faces all around him. He gulped as he realised all of these people were waiting for him to speak, to tell them what to do next.

As he began to speak the crowd fell silent so they could all hear him.

Eric Olafson Midshipman Vol 4Part 20 DIPLOMATIC ESCORT

My life had completley changed. Almost a year had passed and I had not been in any sort of trouble. I had almost forgotten that I was in my second year and this was an Academy field class. We just returned from a diplomatic mission, ferrying a delegation of Union Diplomats to the fringes of Free Space. The Daoine a cautious species of human sized rat like beings considered Union membership, but were afraid of retaliations from other Freespace civilizations who hated nothing more than losing...

Bird and the Blonde

Women interested in learning more about submission please see my ad here: ------------------ Bird and the Blonde Bird was hungry and his feet hurt. His feet always hurt on Saturdays and Sundays, when he worked the register at the local big-box store. He hated the job, hated that he never had time to just hang out all weekend like his friends at college, hated that he needed even the pitiful income that he made there just to stay in school. But he especially hated standing all day on his...

Diplomatic BaggageChapter 3 Part of the Household

Back in the Bentley, Sir Patrick and Gerry headed back into town. "I'm not sure that I understand the problem," Gerry began. "Surely we just need to explain things to the Minister, and then off we go." "Diplomatically it's more difficult than that, I'm afraid. Let's look at it from his point of view. He's the Trade Minister, you're a Trade Envoy. A transaction occurred. You can't just turn up and say you didn't mean it. Where would that leave your credibility? No that wouldn't...

Bird SongChapter 5 The nightmare begins

07:28am, 24 July The Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, swept into the room to chair the meeting of the emergency COBRA committee. The committee's name, while sounding impressive, was quite simply derived from the name of the room in which it met. The room was the Cabinet Office, Briefing Room, A - so COBRA. The room itself was actually quite Spartan, the tables and chairs old, battered and stained and the large clocks that showed the time in different places around the world cheap, but...

Diplomatic BaggageChapter 1 Trade Kushtia

Gerry Daniels wasn't sure how to start his report. As far as his boss at the Foreign Office was concerned the whole thing was a complete waste of time. "Need it for those wasters in Strasbourg. Don't spend too much time on it," he had said as he told Gerry he'd be spending a couple of weeks in Kushtia. Now Gerry was sitting in the British Embassy in the Kushtian Capital of Kolin staring at a discouragingly blank lap top screen. "Opportunities For Trade Between the UK and the People's...

Diplomatic BaggageChapter 4 The New Intern

"So you see, Ambassador," Kashim went on fondling the helpless and struggling Suzie, "Mr Daniel's present makes a very acceptable addition to my harem. I've felt for some time that a new blonde would be a worthwhile acquisition." Gerry noticed the slightest raising of an eyebrow by Sir Patrick. He clasped his hands across his belly and nodded understandingly. "I remember you saying so Minister, I remember you saying so and it was for exactly that reason that I was worried." A look of...

Bird SongChapter 39 Tut tut

10:12, 8 September Jamie considered his options. Sinky was commanding the teenagers who were securing the Trident missiles at the Faslane base and Stuart was still in Liverpool. He decided that the best option in the short term was to take the trip to GCHQ himself. There was a heck of a lot of things to set in motion, many more people to deal with and being able to employ mobile phones would make things much easier. He calculated that it would be a worthwhile investment of his time, despite...

Bird SongChapter 6 Response

All of the attendees at the COBRA meeting were staring at the Prime Minister. The news channels were blaring out the claims of Al Qaeda biological attacks, the release of a strain of bird flu that could infect humans, and Gordon Brown had sneezed. The Prime Minister gazed back at them calmly. "Ladies and gentlemen, I don't think this is the time to lose our cool. It would seem we have a lot of work to do. Now, I suggest we take a comfort break to give the Chief Medical Officer time to join...

Bird Watched

I had been out taking pictures of birds; well, that’s what I intended to do, but I had stumbled across a pair of ladies playing in a pond and had taken some pictures of them instead. When I got back to the car, I looked thru the pictures. There were a couple of exceptional shots and several more good ones. I’d have to upload those and do a bit of post-processing, but they were pretty good to start. It was about six-thirty AM when I drove out of the park. One of the two cars that had been there...

Bird SongChapter 7 Ring a ring of roses

James MacLaren and his wife arrived at his parent's house and rang the bell. James' father, David, opened the door and they could both see immediately that there was something wrong with him. They pushed past into the house, Avril fussing over her father-in-law, and found his wife, Ivy, lying on the sofa covered by a duvet. If anything she looked worse than her husband, her skin pallid and her eyes looking sunken in her face. Avril busied herself putting on the kettle and looking in the...

Shafiq and her companions sat on a park bench for thirty minutes to give the members of the Glasgow cell time to arrive and pick them up. When they walked to the entrance to the park, a black cab moved down the road and pulled in beside them. "Get in. Hurry, we can't hang around," said the driver of the cab. "I'm sorry, we didn't order a cab," Shafiq responded. "Shit! Okay, bird song. Now, get in, quickly," the driver urged. Shafiq relaxed when she heard the code words and...

Bird SongChapter 18 Tangos

22:47, 19 August Petty Officer Stevens was motionless amongst the scrub, as he watched the comings and goings in the building opposite him. He and his shore party had been watching four different sites for almost two days, logging what they saw and discussing plans for an assault. All twenty of the seamen had admitted to each other that they were starting to feel what they thought might be flu symptoms and they were determined to free as many of the teenagers held captive as they could...

Bird Watching

There have recently been sightings of both eagles and osprey near one of our county parks. I’m an avid bird-watcher, so when I heard, I knew I had to try to photograph them. Reports were that early in the morning and at dusk were the best times so I set my alarm, got up and dressed, and headed out early. It was August, so early meant about five thirty AM. My wife was still asleep; I left her a note, grabbed my camera bag, and off I went. She had turned me down again last night. We’ve been...

BIRD-WATCHING By "C.C." Janet was always Turned Off by Masculine Hair, so to keep things humming at our house -- and in our bed -- I obliged by shaving my body for her. I didn't realize what trouble it would be till one day when we were bird- watching. The following morning Gerry arrived at the Embassy to find considerable toing and froing. "Some sort of Whitehall flap?" he asked of one of the secretaries as she scurried by. "No idea," she said. "All I know is the Ambassador is in a right state. Oh, and he was looking for you." "I can't have upset the Trade Minister this much," Gerry thought. Bird SongChapter 9 Atishoo atishoo we all fall down

13:41, 2 August Sky News continued to report on the rising death toll, thousands became tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands and then millions. The scale was simply to big for the brother and sister to fully get their heads around. The deaths were also kind of meaningless to them - they were numb, still in shock and the deaths that really mattered had happened here on the farm. Jamie found himself humming a school playground song from his early years. "Ring, a ring o'roses A pocket...

Bird SongChapter 19 Things can only get better

07:30, 20 August The choice of the honeymoon suite as their 'home' was obviously appropriate, as brother and sister were as close and attentive as newly weds the next day. Laura was clearly in pain from her defloration and the number of times they had made love, but it was like a badge of honour to her, a sweet pain, a well-earned ache. She had her man and she wouldn't change anything about her first time with him. Every twinge she felt as she walked around reminded her of how he had felt...

Jamie and the girls landed at Dreghorn and were met by Stuart. While Jamie had been making his broadcast, the girls had completed the task Jamie had set them and he now had a delivery to make. There was another matter to take of first though and Jamie knew he had put it off long enough. "Stuart, how many of the terrorists do you have locked up here in the guardhouse?" he asked. "Eight in total. There are two adults who we think must have been part of the original virus attack and six...

Jamie had listened to Sir David suggesting that he hold a press conference to expose the US President's cover up, but an idea of his own had popped into his head. He would personally go and speak to POTUS. What had been done could have led to the slaughter of all of the remaining survivors across England. Jamie felt that was a good enough reason to want to look the man who had kept it hushed up in the eye. "No Sir David, I think I know how these people work now. It might be better if I was...

There weren't a lot of other people on the trail, but we saw a few as we walked. Eventually we got to the spot where my husband said the best birds were, and we set our bags down on one of the picnic tables. We got out our binoculars and pretty soon my husband was in his own little world, pointing out birds to me, and scribbling down all the ones he saw in his birding notebook. I got bored pretty quickly, and started playing some Hearthstone on my phone. At a little after ten, just as I...

I used my cell phone to find an e-mail address for the US consulate in Tokyo. I sent an e-mail before we slept that night. At the time I figured I would have to call in the morning. Jamie was dog tired by the time he landed the Lynx back at Skibo. Once more the three girls waited in the reception area to welcome him back. Laura seemed far more at ease this time when Debbie and Christine hugged and kissed him passionately. At the Faslane naval base, Jamie was scratching his head as he tried to weigh up the pros and cons of a new situation. The skills audit at Fort William had turned up seven teenagers who claimed to be fairly experienced with large pleasure boats. Each had had a father who was nuts about boats (and other large boy's toys) and the teenagers had spent a fair amount of time learning how to pilot and navigate the craft. When Jamie had asked Stuart where the skilled teenagers were, he had been...

It was 1958 and I had just graduated from high school. My step-father, a construction worker, had been divorced from my mother for several years. That summer he was working in a town a hundred miles away and, as usual, he was living out of a cheap motel room. He listened closely as he went, anxious to hear the sound of any other birds that might have escaped the virus attack, but on this occasion he was disappointed. James MacLaren hunched forward over the keyboard and screen of the computer in his bedroom. The bedroom door was locked to avoid any unwanted intrusions and there was a good reason for that. James was doing something he shouldn't be and he knew he would be in big trouble with the other members of his family if he was found out. He had recently turned fifteen and was what might be called a geek if he lived in the US. Here on his father's farm on the very western outskirts of Glasgow, he was...

Bird SongChapter 3 The final leg

Shafiq gazed out of the window of the white house, down the hill to the harbour of Oran. She and her team had arrived in darkness, but now the sun was up and she could feel its heat already beginning to build up. The house was nestled just below the cliff that formed the natural anchorage, a cliff that rose to a peak on her left as she gazed out onto the Mediterranean Sea. The rock was arid, dry, with some low growing brush along the clifftop. The village proper was further back atop the...

Bird SongChapter 10 Home alone

Laura continued to scream at her abductors from the rear seat of the jeep. The man in the passenger seat turned and pointed a rifle at her between the two front seats. She could see his black eyes glinting with anger and she knew her time was up. That thought had just gone through her head when the man lunged forward, jabbing the muzzle of the rifle hard into her belly. The air whooshed out of her and pain exploded through her body. "Shut up you little whore!" he screamed at her. With...

Bird SongChapter 11 Friend and Ally

17:12, 3 August By chance, Laura happened to be close by Assam when the two terrorists who had grabbed her came running into the prayer hall. Assam had been talking to Fisah and Laura was trying to remain close to the woman in the hope of getting to speak to her again. Laura was sitting on the floor pretending to read the little, green-covered book that she had been given. The book was an English version of the Qu'ran and a copy had been given to every teenager in the hall. "Assam! Assam,...

Bird SongChapter 12 The great escapes

07:12, 6 August Jamie had elected to spend the night in the honeymoon suite at Skibo Castle. All of the bedrooms in the hotel were plush to say the least, but the luxury of the honeymoon suite was something else again. He'd snacked on the nuts and crisps that he had found in the mini-bar and then relaxed in the Jacuzzi that the suite had. The powerful jets of water helped soothe his tired and rigid muscles, allowing him to realise the constant tension he had been living with for days...

Bird SongChapter 13 A tale of two cities

Jamie couldn't be sure, but he felt that Fisah was flirting with him. If she was, it was admittedly subtle and Laura hadn't picked up on it. If she did, Jamie expected her to get annoyed at her new friend. Of course, he knew he was very inexperienced at these things and could well be absolutely wrong, but there were little things, Fisah would drop her head a little and look at him through her long black lashes, almost shyly. She was constantly brushing his arm and shoulder with her hand,...

Bird SongChapter 14 Porkies

Jamie sat and simmered in the hotel kitchen. He felt unclean, used and a complete fool. His instincts had told him something wasn't right about Fisah and her very quick and sudden need to have sex with him. The kiss he had shared with Laura had been soulful and somehow pure, despite the fact she was his sister. With Fisah it had been nothing but lust and teenage hormones. Now he had overheard her admitting that she was trying to use sex to control him, to help make it easier to capture him...

Bird SongChapter 15 Love and Hate

The weeks of teasing and the more recent increase in physical contact between brother and sister had built the sense of excitement and anticipation. Laura felt as if her legs were going to give out under her as they seemed to have turned to jelly. She relied on her brother's strong arms to keep her upright and loved the feeling of security that washed over her. Jamie's mouth covered hers and their kiss was everything a girl could ever dream of. Her heart was hammering in her chest as she...

Bird SongChapter 17 Up periscope

19:59, 15 August Assam knew he would have to hit the hotel before the Chinese teenagers became too unnerved at their missing friend. He watched the front of the hotel from across the street where his surveillance team had been based and was pleased to see there was no one keeping watch on the entrance. "Too easy, it's like taking candy from a baby," he thought to himself. He had a combined force of twenty heavily armed men and teenagers with him and he planned to storm the hotel and...

Bird SongChapter 23 Tin opener

Jamie felt his head swim with the implications of what Britain's Ambassador had just said. It took him some time before he could marshal his thoughts and respond to the figure he could see on his computer screen. "Let me get this straight, you're saying that the surviving teenagers can just select someone to be the King of Scots and that person would legally be the King? The rest of the world would have to accept it? What kind of powers would such a person have?" he managed to get out at...

Bird SongChapter 25 Legal or illegal

Jamie was keen to hook up with the Ambassador, Sir David Manning as quickly as possible after his coronation. The sooner the diplomatic efforts to release the expats began the better. He brought the helicopter in to land at Skibo and mentally stopped himself from rushing through the shut down procedures. Once he had completed what he had to do, he jumped down onto Skibo's rapidly growing lawns and joined his sister and Debbie and Christine. Stuart had remained at Dreghorn to review how...

Bird SongChapter 28 Some you win

The two teams split up and individual members began to spread out to circle the dormitory buildings. There were three in all, relatively close together and that allowed all twelve to keep in touch with their throat mics and earpieces. One of Stuart's team had come equipped with a special army video camera that could film what was going on in low light. Jamie had learned the value of marketing and he hoped to get some further footage for the SIS web site. Half an hour later, they were sure...

Bird SongChapter 29 Some you lose

08:30, 30 August Jamie woke with a nagging, throbbing pain in his back. He tried to ignore it as he let his brain wrestle with the issues he still faced. If the Pakistani teenager had been accurate, there were still four camps holding captive survivors, two in Glasgow and two in Edinburgh and he needed to come up with a plan to liberate them as soon as possible. He was also thinking about all of the expats sailing across the Atlantic in their various sized boats. He had no way of knowing...

Bird SongChapter 32 POTUS

Once again the Chief Justice lifted the phone and carried out an act that at the very least would have been viewed by his fellow Justices, the media and the population at large as irregular. He connected with the White House and within less than a minute was talking directly to the President. "Chief Justice Roberts, what can I do for you?" asked POTUS. "It's more what I can do for you Mr President. It might sound unbelievably quick, but SCOTUS has reached a preliminary judgement on the...

Bird SongChapter 38 Discovery

21:32, 7 September It had been a long day. Jamie and the girls hadn't slept at all, working through the night after meeting the first flight of expats at Glasgow Airport. Jamie had ferried medical staff from the airports to the Western General Hospital so they could treat the wounded from the 'last battle' and the girls had tried their best to be auxiliary nurses. Laura had been deeply affected by the experience. At first she had felt as if she was going to faint when she had to stand...

Bird SongChapter 41 Its not over yet Mr President

Once again Jamie managed to catch some sleep on the flight across the Atlantic. The security detail kept a close eye on the terrorist and their monarch, politely heading-off those adults on the flight who approached to get a look at their King. When Jamie awoke he made a point of moving through the cabin, speaking to people and finding out a little about them. He seemed to have a natural ability to put people at their ease and get them to open up. Many of the adults had watched his broadcast...
