Emma the Lady walked into the offices of B&L Industries holding Tim's arm. She wore a pure silk floral print dress to the knees with a matching belt to show off her amazing figure and a white purse and white four inch high heels. Her long hair was pinned up held together by a bow made from the same floral silk. She received much attention from everyone. All were told that Tim Davis had married but no one near a woman of her caliber. Everyone thought she was Kate Beckinsale as the resemblance was so equal the people at B&L believed that it was her.
"Want a pop?" Tim asked as they settled into plush chairs. Emma was behind Tim's desk swinging around to see the fantastic view. The chair was comfortable but overly large for her. She kept spinning around and around Trying to decide which sight she liked best.
"A diet Coke would be nice," she smiled as they waited for the big wigs to arrive. Tim had told her that these ten people really ran the business.
"Ice?" he asked at the refrigerator. Looking at the living doll sitting in his seat made him feel horny again even after they had tender gentle sex when they awoke.
"More better," she used bad grammar on purpose. She knew she couldn't be called a dumb blonde because of her dark hair. She watched her husband shake his head at her humorous remark. She checked the five carat ring that he got her only yesterday and a jeweled wedding band that replaced the golden ring she had back at home. Emma planned to wear the gold one most of the time but on occasions like today, the ice was on her left hand now.
"Thank you," she said as the very first of the ten arrived, knocking on the door. Tim gave her a quick history of the great conglomerate. B & L was for Bernie and Lana. He named it for himself and for Lana Turner whom he had been married to the beautiful movie star back in the early 50's. He was the one to file for divorce after that one year of wedded bliss. Uncle Bernie called that year 'wedded lust'. He told his nephew that it was heaven in bed and hell on earth out of it.
Soon the room was full of the ten plus Mr. & Mrs. Timothy Alvin Davis. She stood to shake hands with a killer smile on her face. Most of the men stared at her body which was lush even though she didn't possess large breasts.
"I am here to introduce you to my wife Emma Foreman. If you read the Tribune, she writes Emma's Corner which has been discontinued due to us marrying.
"I am also here to announce that I will be taking a year or two to sail around the world visiting any port of call we wish to. I will have my cell phone with me so if something comes up to need my expertise, I will be available. However I am convinced that you will figure out any or all problems that may occur. If I'm needed for a vote, call me. If not, I will be pursuing my dream of sailing around the world with the world's most beautiful woman in world at my side."
The group of experts applauded.
"I think my husband is building me up for a fall," Emma announced. "He told me in strictest confidence that his true love was a hot blonde named Cindy Tremaine when he was growing up in Long Island."
This brought laughter from the group. One woman didn't like it at all. Her eyes seemed to tear up. Only Emma noticed the hurt in her eyes. She reckoned that this lady had a crush on Tim or even more. Emma felt sorry for her but she was the winner of the Tim Davis Award, not her. Though Emma pitied the woman, she would never give him up for anything.
Tim had a prime rib dinner catered in for all twelve to enjoy. Emma had a small cut as well as another woman who preferred vegetables rather than meat.
After the meal they started delegating authority to the best of the best. A woman by the name of Marsha Mall was put in charge of distribution from new movies to DVD to CD's which comprised of nine percent of sales for the corporation which meant that Marsha had one of the important jobs. Myron Myers was put in charge of Research & Development. an equally significant position. On and on it went down the line. Everyone knew what they had to do until Tim's return.
"So everyone knows what their work is," Tim said. "Any problems you may come up with that can't be solved, I'm a phone call away. I am the boss but then I'll have to clear anything with my boss," he put his arm about the waist of Emma.
That brought laughter all around. He looked at Emma. She gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"That went well," Tim said, as they drove home in his Porsche.
"Not as well as you think," Emma told him, adjusting the silk scarf on her head. She didn't want to mess her hairdo that took her over an hour to get it right for their meeting.
"What do you mean?" he asked frowning, but not taking his eyes off the road. They were within a mile from their apartment and he didn't want a wreck now. The next day both cars were going into storage and they would be picked up by a limo for their flight to San Diego to get ready for their round the world trip.
"That girl, Linda Lyons, has a major crush on you."
"Linda? The young blonde?"
"The very same. When you introduced me to that bunch, she was very hurt that you married me. I think she had designs on you for herself."
"Me!"
"Darling, I'm not the only one who fell for you. It is more than likely that you have left a string of brokenhearted young women strewn in your path through life. Have you ever looked back to notice any of these women whose lives you may upset?"
"I never noticed before."
"That's because you lusted after Cindy and had a long affair with the selfish Michelle. I was almost one of them. I look back now and how angry I was with you about being stood up for that dinner date. I liked you right off the bat and I almost became one of your casualties. Almost all women has a need for a man. Yes there are some women who fall in love with someone of their own gender. But by and large, a woman needs a man in her life. They want some male whom she can feel safe and secure with. Like me with you. I think Linda was hoping that you would notice her for more than just someone who worked for you. If you hadn't had married me, I believe that within a year she would do or say something to get noticed by you. I honestly think that she has fallen in love with you. Only now it is too late for her. She had her sights set on you, you should have seen the pain on her face when you introduced me as your bride. Now she'll eventually find someone else that is not as good as you are and marry him. Those girls who have had a man like you snatched right from under them will marry the next guy that comes along and she will never be happy with the poor guy. It might be the first of many marriages for her."
"Huh!" he sounded out, confused. He never knew of any females having a crush on him. He lusted after Cindy and had Michelle for a fuck buddy. He thought that Linda Lyons was pretty and a pleasant lady but didn't know she had a major infatuation for him. Now he was happy that he had Emma for his soul mate and the love of his life. He now knew the reason why he had been so lonely since college. He was dense in the ways of romance and the other sex ... It was good that he had this woman riding at his side. His intention was to make her happy so she would make him very happy. No wonder he felt so out of touch with the females he had encountered over the years. Many were so nice and very friendly toward him. They were making a play for him and he was too stupid to pick up on their signals.
Earlier in the day, he had Emma the lady when he visited the office. Now he had Emma the wildcat that night.
