The guys dutifully picked up the cooler and towels and followed behind. They were almost back to their apartments, laughing uproariously, when another guy ran to catch up to them.
"Uh, sorry about my friend," the young man said. He didn't look nearly as sleazy as his buddy. "Look, I know you were just messing with him. I just wanted to let you all know I won't let rumors get started, not that anyone would believe him. I don't want you folks mad at me, too."
"We're not mad," Sean said. "Don't sweat it. We don't worry about rumors anyway."
The guy nodded but stood still while the rest of the group walked away.
"Decent fellow," Adam opined. Walt and Sean nodded.
"You're kidding, right?" Rachelle asked.
"Uh, no," Walt said. "I mean, you know, not starting rumors is a good thing."
The young women shook their heads. Men could be so stupid.
"OK, we'll use small words – for Adam's sake," Mary said. "He's been hard for two hours and it's tough to go that long without blood to the brain. The guy can count."
"I'm lost too," Walt said. "And I'm hung like a baby, remember."
Sarah sidled over and rubbed his arm sultrily.
"That was no baby dick rubbing against my ass, Mr. Carter," she said in a husky voice. "Don't sell yourself short just because you're not an abnormality."
"You either, Sean," Allie cooed as she gave him the same treatment. "That felt like some Grade-A prime dick to me. I know Rachelle and Mary aren't complaining any."
"No, we're not," Mary chimed in.
"Not in the least," Rachelle said. "You guys really turned the tables on us. That was pretty uncool to blow our plan like that. But anyway, that douche saw his friend's approach fail miserably. So, seeing how there are five of us and three of you, he figures if he is a nice guy, he might be able to join the crowd and pick off whatever hottie is unattached. Do you see it now?"
"Or he could have just been being nice," Sean tried.
"We'll know soon enough," Allie said. "He thinks there are two of us without a boyfriend. If he sees us again and is just nice, I'll agree with Sean. But when he sees one of us again and tries to get information about who the free agents are, I'll stick with my gender."
"Men are pigs," Shelly said and giggled.
"What about that snotty wannabe?" Sean asked. "She was no better than either of those guys."
"She didn't want to horn in on our action," Sarah laughed. "She only wanted to see how five poor college girls could afford suits that each cost $500 retail."
"So you're saying if she had thought for a moment one of us might drop you for her, she wouldn't have given it a run?" Walt asked.
"One of you? Probably," Rachelle said. "But I don't think she was interested in taking on all comers – as it were."
She giggled at her own play on words.
"But face it, she is not in our league," Mary said with a smirk. "She couldn't fill out any of these suits the way we do. It would be like putting wrapping paper on a turd."
Adam shook his head and sighed.
"You do have a way with words, Mary," he said.
Mary hooked Adam's arm and turned him to face her. She untied her robe and let it fall open.
"Tell me I'm wrong," she said, opening the robe a little more so Adam got the full effect. "Go on, tell me that skank with a pair of lips tattooed on her ass cheek would look as good in this as I do. Look at the rest of them. Go on, ladies, show him."
The girls shrugged and untied their robes to pull them open. Rachelle held hers in a bunch behind her back.
"Take a good look, guys," Mary said firmly, as she emulated Rachelle's pose. "I mean take a good long look. We can turn around so you can see the backs, too. Can you honestly say that anyone could fill out these suits better than we do?"
"I don't think anyone was implying that," Sean said, although he took several long gazes at the flesh he didn't see as often as he did his girlfriend. "The five of you look amazing. I don't think Adam was trying to suggest otherwise."
"What he said," Walt offered, as his eyes roamed over Rachelle's tall, lean torso then moved to do a similar appraisal of Allie's compact form beside her.
Mary laughed and suddenly pulled her robe around her tightly.
"I know," she said brightly. "I just wanted to give you guys one more thrill. Worked, too, huh?"
The other girls laughed along with Mary and similarly closed the kimonos they wore.
"It's a little after noon," Shelly said. "Let's meet up again at say ... three? That should give us time to wash all the lotion off and attend to anything that might have popped up in the last hour or so."
Rachelle looked at Sean like he was a slab of beef in the butcher's window.
"Yeah, and then shower again after we attend to what our guys popped up," she said as she bit her lower lip. "If we're still going at it at three p.m., don't bother us, though. If I have my way, something will pop up another time or two between now and then."
She grabbed Sean's hand and led him at a brisk walk toward the apartment. Mary took Walt by the arm and did the same.
"Come on," Mary said. "If we don't hurry, they'll beat us to the shower."
Adam glanced at the three girls who stood with him, looks of pure innocence on their faces.
"Do not think you're going to get the royal treatment from us just because you popped a woody," Sarah said.
"Good God, no," Allie added. "We'd be acting like servants all the time."
Shelly gave her friends an unreadable glance, then sidled up to Adam, opening her robe and pressing her body tightly to his.
"I'll treat you like a king," she said huskily, shooting Allie and Sarah a 'so there' look. "Those two can stay on their high horse. I'll roll in the hay with a stable boy who makes me feel good."
"Traitor!" Sarah said in a joking voice.
"A complete and total sell-out," Allie tossed in, shaking her head sadly. "Who would have thought it?"
Adam leaned forward and put his arms around Shelly's waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck and then her legs around his torso when he picked her up.
"Me," Adam said as he leaned forward and gave Shelly a warm kiss. "Besides, she's the only one who didn't feel up and get felt up by another dude today."
The instant shock on the faces of Allie and Sarah told Adam to backtrack and to backtrack quickly.
"Hey, I'm joking," he said urgently. "I was just playing along with you guys. I wasn't serious."
"Are you sure?" Sarah asked.
"I'm sure," Adam replied as he sat Shelly back down and opened his arms to the others. "I was trying to make a joke. I know everything was in good fun."
"And so does everyone else," he put in quickly. "If they didn't originally, they figured it out when you complimented the size of their manhood. Sean went from the 'dickless wonder' to 'Grade A Prime' in the space of two hours."
He chuckled.
"Don't you pick on those guys about that," Allie said. There was real menace in her voice.
"Down there, tigress," Adam said. "Put the claws away. This may come as a surprise to you, but after about age 15, guys stop checking out what other guys are carrying around. Any picking we do about things like that is sight unseen – done only because that's how guys joke. For instance, I am the Rat-faced Prick. Walt is Wally One-Nut – and Sean is the Dickless Wonder."
Allie's shoulders relaxed and she sighed.
"Sorry," she said. She took Adam's hand and the quartet started down the walk to her (or perhaps their) apartment. "Adam, it's weird for us – me and Sarah. With anyone else but you three guys, what we did today would be seen as a prelude to group sex in the living room. You saw that from the way other people reacted. I'm not saying Rachelle or Mary wouldn't want to take a ride with you if Walt and Sean weren't around. They probably would. But, well, Sarah and I were a little leery about you guys getting the wrong idea."
"We didn't," Adam said softly. "I take it you were reluctant participants."
"Not really reluctant," Sarah said. "More like wary. We were a lot more sedate – you, me and Allie. Shelly was trying to rub her hand print into Mary's ass permanently, but that's a whole other matter. We were OK with teasing you guys. Don't let this get around, but a lot of girls get a kick out of having guys notice them. What we were wary about is what you might think of us putting lotion on Walt and Sean more than what Walt and Sean might think of us doing. Does that make sense?"
"It does," Adam replied. "I hope I didn't say or do anything that made you think it bothered me. I knew about the suits – and I suspected the rest of you would arrive in something as small. And, well, I suspected there would be some goofing around. I found nothing upsetting or offensive about anything any of you said or did today."
"Good," Allie said. "And this wasn't our idea. Actually, it was Mary and Rachelle's and they enlisted Shelly to bring us around. I guess they viewed it as sort of a reward for being such great guys."
"Rachelle seemed interested in pushing things, so I suspected she is the one really behind it," Adam remarked.
Shelly laughed.
"Oh, that was purely about something Mary said," she told him. "Mary made a comment about you almost messing your jockeys last summer at the lake. She said if you about shot off from that suit, you'd probably go blind from this one. I guess Rachelle was a bit disappointed that she had never had a documented case of 'getting a rise out of you.'"
"I think she just wants Adam to know she's not a stuck-up bitch," Sarah opined. "That she's, you know, a normal person like the rest of us. He does treat her differently than the rest of us. He doesn't pick on her or joke with her much. I've noticed that even the little time I've been around them."
"I thought they might have dated or something in the past," Allie remarked. "But that's not it."
"We don't know each other very well," Adam told them. "I always thought it just took her a little time to warm up to people, you know. But that's not it, I've decided. I think she sort of looks down on me, because I'm some hay-seed farm boy with an accent."
"That's not it at all, Adam," Shelly protested. "Look, if I tell you, you have to promise me that you'll try to understand the context. Promise?"
"I'll try," Adam said.
"She grew up out here," Shelly explained. "She thought you were a player and that you'd make a move on one of, well, us. She is prejudiced against good-looking guys."
Adam rolled his eyes, certain Shelly was trying to find a nicer way to describe Rachelle than was warranted.
"I'm serious," Shelly said. "She took one look at you and figured you would start pushing Walt and Sean around and making plays for us. It took her only a little while to realize she was being ridiculous but you'd already turned into Mr. Freeze."
"That's a bit harsh, don't you think?" Adam asked. "I've always been polite to her – even when she was rude to me. Neither you nor anyone else has ever heard me say one unkind word about her."
"You're right," Shelly admitted. "But she's really tried hard over the past five or six months to show you she misjudged you. But you have to move forward to meet her, too."
"Why?" Adam wondered. "I'm not unhappy with the way Rachelle and I treat each other. Sure, I'm not as close to her as I am to Mary. But Mary never made me feel like a leper either. The first few days I was here, I went out of my way to be nice to Rachelle. She simply ignored me, like I was beneath her notice."
"Well, she certainly knew you were around today," Allie quipped. "'Adam, could you be a dear and pop my nipple back into my suit. You can use your tongue, if you'd like.' Look, she fucked up. She took one look at you and decided you were like the other guys she knew. She was wrong; she knows she was wrong. Let it go."
"Seriously, Adam," Sarah put in. "Do you want an engraved apology? You make her feel left out sometimes. Friday night, when were all sitting around and joking about things, at one time or another you did something playful to everyone. Everyone but Rachelle. You poked Mary in the ribs. You tugged Shelly's ear. You ruffled my hair. You pinched Allie's butt. You even gave Sean a little shove on the shoulder and Walt an elbow in the ribs. But you never came within five feet of Rachelle. When she would move closer to you, you'd move away."
"Really?" Adam asked. He hadn't noticed anything and he didn't think it was on purpose. "I don't dislike Rachelle if that is what you're wondering. I guess it's like this: if I were to meet Walt and Mary in some other manner, I'd be friends with them. The same is true for each of you. I was friends with Sean before he even met Rachelle, so I'd be friends with him again. Rachelle? Probably not. We don't really have that much in common."
"You have all the same friends!" Shelly said. "What more do you need to have in common? And seriously, how do you know? Have you asked Rachelle about fishing? I doubt it. Do you try to talk racing with her? Please. How about business? TV shows? Music? Movies? You saw how she acted until she got to know you and you stopped putting forth any effort to get to know her.
"She is really sweet and I promise she would do absolutely anything for any of us. Do yourself – and us – a favor and stop being so distant toward her. I'm not saying you have to pinch her ass or blow in her ear. In fact, I'll probably kick your ass if you do either of those things. But don't get up and leave if you and she are the only two in the room. Don't bail on a conversation if she enters it. For a week, try to treat her the same way you treat everyone else. Can you do that?"
"I can try," he offered.
Adam sat on the couch while the three young women tried – unsuccessfully – to fit three people in the tub to shower at once. Three naked girls in bed with him at night was great. But having three clothed girls chewing his ass over something wasn't so great. Shelly and Allie appeared from the bathroom first, towels wrapped around their heads and nothing else.
"We figured you'd already be naked and waiting for us in bed," Allie joked. "Or are you hoping for repeat of last night's performance?"
Each naked girl took a seat on one of Adam's knees.
