Mom had to work late, so we wound up going out to dinner, Dad and I meeting Mom at an Italian restaurant. Conversation at the table was stilted. Apparently, all of us were nervous about the family meeting. I berated myself for that mental state, but still needed a safe topic, so talked about the team, the recent change in practice, and yesterday’s game. I rode back home with Mom. I had my own passengers: a host of butterflies cavorting in my tummy. Since home was just a few minutes away, I did not press Mom on the meeting, feeling that there was no sense getting into a discussion only to have to break it off when we arrived.
Upon getting home, I announced, “I’ll be right back down; I’m going to change.” I ran upstairs, stripped off, and put on a loose T, panties, and loose shorts. I had considered going commando but didn’t want Dad to guess that I knew the meeting topic. It was unlikely that he would, but why take the chance? I made myself go back downstairs at a sedate pace, because I didn’t want to seem too keen.
Since I was the first to the kitchen table, I yelled into their room, “Anybody want anything?”
“Please start a pot of coffee,” came the reply.
I bent to the task and got myself a glass of apple juice and another of water. Then, to avoid seeming anxious, I opened Boggle on my phone. I was just done with only my third game, when the ‘rents joined me in the kitchen. Dad went to the coffeemaker, grabbed two mugs, and filled them both. Mom was sitting across from me and Dad placed one of the mugs in front of her and the other down at the place between Mom and me.
Dad took a sip of his coffee, put his mug down, and turned to me, “We called this meeting to discuss something that we’re considering that would affect you. Well, it would affect all of us, but you don’t know what it is, yet. It’s critical that you provide input, as we won’t effect this, uh ... call it a ‘policy change,’ without your approval; you, like each of us, have veto power.”
“So,” I started, “you two must already have approved this ‘policy change.’”
Dad nodded, then waited to see if I’d say more. I raised my eyebrows at him to suggest that he continue.
[Oh, to have Rhee’s eyebrow skill.]
Dad turned a bit pink, took a deep breath, and said, “We want to know how you’d feel about the house being ‘clothing optional.’”
I looked into Dad’s eyes, then Mom’s, and then looked back to Dad.
“I assume that you mean for us. What about company? Specifically, what about Rhee? And her mom? How would that work? And what about Liya and Gracey?” Dad started to reply, but I continued, “Obviously, Rhee is here a lot and...” I turned to Mom, “So, that’s what that was about.”
Mom nodded and one corner of her mouth turned up. I turned back to Dad. “Is this in response to Rhee’s mom making their house clothing optional, at least for the girls? I assume that Mom told you.”
“She did tell me, but we were discussing the possibility for a while before that.”
“If we went clothing optional, then you’d be okay with Rhee joining in? Mrs. D? Liya and Gracey?”
“Uh, we think that Carol would be okay with it. Your mother talked to Carol; she said ... what did she say, Honey?”
Mom grinned and answered, “She said, ‘That would be interesting.’”
I butted in, “And she would be fine with Rhee being naked in the house with my naked father?”
“I asked her that very question. She was a little hesitant, but she thought that it would be good for Rhee to be more cosmopolitan. She also said that were they living in some other parts of Europe, that it might not be such a big deal. What would Rhee think?”
