February 1978

On Saturday, following my Friday date with Kellie, I went to work as usual. Once again I used the time to think. This time I was trying to figure out how I could meet Kellie and not have to hide or rush or anything like that. I didn’t have a good solution. Even if I could drive, that wouldn’t help much. The back seat of a car just didn’t hold any attraction for me. Except for with Mary, I’d always done it in a bed.

I was keeping busy around the deli but there were no customers at the moment. I was talking to Andreas as I did from time to time when things weren’t busy and when I wasn’t deep in thought. He noticed, though.

“You’ve been doing a lot of thinking, haven’t you? The last few weeks you’ve sort of been on auto-pilot. Doing a great job as always, of course, but your head has been somewhere else. Are you having problems? Maybe I can help.”

I laughed. “Most people wouldn’t call what I’m dealing with a ‘problem’.”

“Well, tell me. I have plenty of experience, and significant resources. And Don Joseph would insist I help you.”

“I have a girl I’d like to be alone with but can’t because there’s always someone home at our houses. And because I’m fourteen, I can’t drive. So we’re kind of stuck.”

“That total fox you have meet you for lunch on Saturdays? I can see why. Man, she is amazing looking. You’re a lucky guy.”

“Well, yes, she is and yes, I am. But it’s not her. To be honest, she and I can be together at her house.”

“You have another one besides her? A dangerous game, Steve.”

“She knows. She’s OK with it.”

“A ladies’ man. If the other one is just as good-looking, I want to know your secret. Especially if they know about each other.”

“I don’t have a serious girlfriend. I’m dating. I’m kind of young for a permanent relationship.”

“True. I knew you were a smart kid. You’re lucky too.”

“Thanks.”

“I have a possible solution. Let me make a phone call and check.”

He went to the office. I unpacked some deliveries and put them on the shelves. I also put together some boxes for the order that was going out this afternoon. I added the stuff like napkins, knives, forks, and plates that didn’t need to be refrigerated.

Andreas came back. He handed me a key ring with two keys on it. He handed me a piece of paper with an address.

“This is an apartment that belongs to Don Joseph’s firm. They use it for out-of-town guests and when people need a place to crash. There’s almost never anyone there. If you go, just check the mailbox in the lobby. If there is an envelope sticking out of the top, the apartment is being used. If not, then it’s free. Use it whenever you like.”

I knew the term safe house. If I was right, then I’d just taken another step into a very dangerous world - but an exciting one. Larry told me I could make money and I had. He told me he might go to work for his grandfather.

I took the keyring and paper with the address. It was about 4 miles from my house, an easy bike ride during the Summer. It was also walking distance from the deli, the bowling alley, and the skating rink, which meant I could find ways to get there without needing to drive. This had real possibilities.

“Thanks, Andreas. Let me know what Don Joseph wants from me.”

“As I said, you’re a smart kid. Someone will let you know.”

Jennifer joined me for lunch. She greeted me with a big hug and a kiss. I copped a feel of her breast and gave her a gentle squeeze. She sighed. We broke the clinch and got our lunch. Andreas shot me a smile.

Our conversation was mostly small talk. There was a bit of gentle flirting but Jennifer was behaving. I knew that when she got the chance, she’d push the limits as far as she could. I was OK with that. It was all part of building our relationship. Eventually, we’d get to the ‘good stuff’ again - when the time was right.

What I was realizing too, was that anticipation would only make it better. We knew what would happen when we got there. It would be another earth-shattering experience. As much as I loved Birgit, there was something with Jennifer that went beyond that. It was truly something special.

Jennifer pulled me back from the wilderness of my thoughts with a question.

“So, you’re seeing Joyce tonight? What are you guys doing?”

“Dinner, then swimming. She’ll be staying at Larry’s house tonight. Her parents will pick her up after church tomorrow.”

“And you’re seeing Becky on Sunday.”

“Yes.”

“How did it go with Kellie?”

“It was interesting.”

“Interesting?”

“How much do you want to know?”

“How much is there to tell?”

“Well, I think I can sum up pretty simply. We were eating ice cream sundaes. She spread whipped cream on her lips and then licked it off suggestively. I teased her by asking if I could have her cherry. She said yes. So I took the cherry from her sundae and she said ‘not that one’.”

“What?!”

“Yeah.”

“She wasn’t joking?”

“No. She was serious.”

“So?”

“We talked. A lot. I made sure she knew what she was asking. And that she wasn’t in love with me or had any silly notions.”

“Are you going to?”

“If I do, is it a problem?”

“No. It’s not a problem. I’m OK with it.”

“You’re sure? You’re 100% sure? I don’t want to hurt you.”

“Go show her a good time. Make her see stars. But come back to me. Just come back to me.”

“Always Jennifer, always.”

And that was what bothered her about Becky; that I wouldn’t come back. That scared her.

“I love you,” she said. “I like where we are and how we’re taking this. Just promise me that you’ll come back.”

I got up, pulled her into my arms, and said, “Jennifer Lynn Block, I love you. I can’t wait until we’re at a point where we can make love again.”

She kissed me and went to get into her mom’s car. They drove off. I hoped I had said the right things.

Mom picked me up and I got ready for my date with Joyce. She’d arrive about 4:00pm. We’d hang out for an hour or so, and then Dad would drop us at Frisch’s for dinner. We’d eat and then call him. He’d pick us up and bring us home. We’d come home and swim until Mrs. Higgins came to get Joyce at 11:00pm. I was anticipating seeing Joyce by herself. I was glad that her mom hadn’t insisted that Connie come along.

I checked the pool and added a bit of chlorine. I made sure towels were out and put some Cokes and other soft drinks in the fridge. Then I grabbed a book and settled on the couch to read. Around 3:45pm I went and changed.

Just after 4:00pm, Joyce came to the door. She was wearing tight blue jeans and a light pink sweater that showed off her moderately sized breasts. Her long dark hair reached almost to her waist and was pinned back with hair clips. She wore pink lipstick and pale green eye shadow. This was new to me as the girls I had been with so far pretty much went for the natural look with no more than lip gloss.

I invited her in and we sat on the couch. Stephanie walked through the room and stuck her tongue out at me as she walked past. Joyce was looking at me so she couldn’t see. I couldn’t give Stephanie my usual line. I’m sure she realized that, the little brat. I double-checked with Joyce that the plan for the evening was OK.

“Sure! It’ll be fun.”

“Want to shoot some pool before dinner?”

“I haven’t played before. Can you teach me?”

“Yes, I can! Come on.”

I uncovered the table and racked the balls. I put down the cue ball and broke. I didn’t sink a ball on the break, so I helped her select a cue and explained how to hold it. I picked a good shot for her. I demonstrated how to hold the cue and line up the shot. She got into the right position and I stood behind her.

“OK. How hard do I hit it?”

“If it’s OK, I’ll show you.”

“Sure.”

I stepped behind her and put my arms around her, helping her hold the cue. I guided her arms to make the shot. It was an easy one and she sank the fifteen, giving her stripes. I picked another easy shot and again showed her how to line it up.

“Can you help me again?”

I stepped behind her and again put my arms around her again.

“I like this! You can help me anytime you want.”

She made the shot and the 10 dropped into the corner pocket. There weren’t any easy shots left and she missed the next one. I sank the six, one, and five before I missed. She asked for help again. The pattern continued until I won the game.

“That was fun!”

“Want to play again?” I asked.

“Maybe after dinner. Let’s go sit on the couch again and talk.”

Moments in a LifeChapter 5 Joyce

Friday night has been traditionally spent going out with the guys and over the course of the evening discussing what the plans were for the weekend. After one beer at the local watering hole it was decided to go over Pete's house to play some cards. Bob Lacy had no interest in playing cards but he would go and watch the card game and after a while head for home. There was a varsity basketball game tomorrow which was against what was called a "fish" team. That's a team which is put on the...

After the last three days, I was looking forward to normalcy. My body ached, and my nose hurt like hell. The man in the suit had brought a doctor over from the mainland the night before, but I had to take some painkillers and other stuff to reduce the swelling. Joyce had a pleasing bit of...

And a HalfChapter 6 Joyce

The next day Claire and her boss were back in the office. I was hoping to get a few minutes alone with Claire to ask her about Honeybee but I was beaten to the punch when I was summoned to her boss’s office. Claire gave me a knowing smirk as I passed her desk. “Come in and close the door,” said Joyce Brunt, waving me towards a chair. Joyce was the Office Manager. In terms of pay and place on the greasy pole, her position was relatively moderate. But in terms of influence, she was on a par...

The Hitchhiker Joyce

My wife Joyce was a virgin when we married and I might as well have been one considering how little sexual experience I had. The novelty of sex itself kept us pretty occupied for the first couple of years. Most of our experimenting was along the lines of position changes - going from missionary to doggie style was a big thing for us. Thanksgiving dinner at my brother's house changed all that for us. Thanksgiving dinner was a rotating family affair. One year my sister had the family over, then...

My Mother in law Joyce

My wife Susan and I both work. We have a nice home, and live a good life. My job a while back required me to work the 3-11 shift. So when I’m home, my wife is already in bed asleep. Some times I slip quietly in bed and fuck her, but my wife does not like being awakened an hour or two after she’s fallen asleep. My wife’s Mom Joyce lives in an apartment complex, and for the last two years she has brought her laundry over to the house and did some light housekeeping during the week. The Early YearsChapter 2 Joyce

Don spent the summer going back to college taking the two courses he needed to get his Master’s degree. The degree once attained would result in a nice bump up in pay. On the weekends he would play some golf with a few friends. He was able to maintain a seven handicap but it was getting harder and harder for him to do that. He knew he needed to spend time on the practice range and play more golf than he was doing to keep that handicap. Don thought this summer had just flown by as next Monday...

Follow UpChapter 3 Joyce

Bob Lacy hadn't followed up with Joyce because he felt a little guilty about the date he had with her. None of his friends knew that Bob had dated her. Whenever her name was brought up in a conversation, it was always mentioned that she was Mark's girl. Bob knew Mark pretty well and he didn't want to get involved in breaking up that relationship by him going out with Joyce. Joyce had shown that she was a good lover, but there were a lot of good lovers out there. Joyce had been insistent...

My second wife Joyce

Joyce and I were together from 1980 til 1992.. When we got together she looked like she could pass for much younger, she was only four foot nine, and a very cute face with 36 B cup titties. She enjoyed showing off the fact that you could put a pencil under her tit and it would fall out because her tits were so firm. A fact that she proved to most of my friends very early on. She enjoyed going to bars and partying, loved dancing. On weekends we would go to the bars with some friends of mine....

Fun time with Big Bush Joyce

After our night out we where both desperate to spend time together. Every chance at work we would sneak off and play. Plenty of kissing and touching but always a chance of being seen. We had to somehow arrange some time together.Out of the blue my wife had to work away for a few days, this was the bit of luck we needed. I booked a day off without telling her and Joyce did the same but her husband thought she was working. I arranged to collect her at the time she would be walking to work. I...

Joyce

At the age of twelve Joyce had C tits. When she was f******n she was already a D cup. At sixteen she was DD cup and every one was wondering how big her tits would get. She was a tiny girl with huge tits. She had a brother that was really taking a notice of the tits on his sister. One day they were alone in the house and when she stepped out of the shower he was standing there waiting for her. She yelled at him "What are you doing here? Can't you see I am naked?" He told her as he grabbed her...

Joyce

This story recounts my first experience dressing entirely in female attire in the presence of others and the events that such a totally overwhelming occurrence led to, or does it? While I have taken some license for the sake of readability and entertainment, it is essentially an account as it happened, or maybe it isn't! The simple fact is that the basis of this story is absolutely true as are some, maybe many parts of it, but certainly not all of it. I had and still have a vivid...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 78 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part II

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 57 Land of the Rising Sun Part III

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

Joyce

I don't remember exactly what I was doing when I first heard the strange sound wafting up through the heat vent in the floor. I may have been reading my Sixteen magazine or some other such nonsense. My parents bedroom was below me and I had been aware they were in it, I often heard them talking and I mostly just ignored it. I remember I was wearing a dress, a light cotton summery thing and as always my panties. I had recently become more and more aware of my cunt. I found myself often...

SalamanderChapter 6 A Helping Hand Joyce

I was sitting in the waiting room when I saw Mort return from her appointment. She was a strange young thing, but not unsurprisingly so, given her recent history. She seemed uncomfortable with the world around her, and was always very jumpy. She seemed very ill at ease with hybrids. Not having grown up around them probably played a big part in that. She was also uncomfortable in her own skin, her movements clumsy, due to her change. Still, even given the fundamentalist brainwashing she had...

August 21, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Unbelievable,” I said when I read the headline from the Chicago Tribune. “It says here that Solidarity activist Tadeusz Mazowiecki was nominated to be Prime Minister of Poland.” I hadn’t had a chance to read the paper on Sunday because it hadn’t been delivered before we left for the race track in Michigan. “So now what?” Kara asked. “We’re in totally uncharted territory. July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. I read, wrote some longhand journal entries, ate, and generally relaxed while the plane zipped over the Atlantic. I’d come home, taken a sauna, eaten a light meal, and gone straight to bed, not bothering to check messages, look at the mail that...

June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 6 SamanthaChapter 21 Georg and Maria

September 7, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “That went reasonably well,” Michelle said when her parents drove off. “There were a few times I thought my expression would give away something I shouldn’t. You were messing with me, weren’t you?” She grabbed both my hands and smiled, “I was telling the truth, in my own way. Thank you!” She leaned forward and kissed my cheek. “So, what’s left?” I asked. “To visit UofC tomorrow and formally withdraw from classes. To spend some time with you and your...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 14 A Southern Belle a Surprise Proposal two Cheerleaders an Old Flame and a Girl Back Home Part I

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. I was alternating between the history and culture book and the Communist Party book, decided on the history and culture book for this time. I didn’t get much reading done because I was thinking about Tatyana, which led me to...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 9 KamiChapter 38 And Sometimes It Stinks To Be Big

January 23, 1996, Chicago, Illinois “Father, bless!” I said, greeting Father Basil with upturned palms. “Bless you, Stephen,” he said as I kissed his hand. The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. We placed our food orders right away and he left to put them in with the kitchen. “I’m not quite sure how to address this, so I’m just going to ask you bluntly. Are you the father of Michelle’s baby?” I shook my...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 8 NIKAChapter 68 The Rules

June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 73 Hypothetical Questions

December 5, 2000, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota “I had a good time last night,” I said. “I was surprised you invited a friend!” Mary laughed as we walked into the exam room, “Naomi had a good time as well. You know what a Resident’s life is like.” I nodded, “No social life.” “Exactly. You guys seemed to hit it off pretty well.” “Yes, but I’m not here for that!” “You’re everywhere for that, and you know it!” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s just say that you hit the sweet spot -...

A WellLived Life Book 3 PiaChapter 25 The Puzzle and the Cat Part II

March 1980, Hovås/Göteborg, Sweden I woke early as usual, but just enjoyed being in bed with Katt. When she woke, she hopped out of bed and pulled a robe out of her closet and handed it to me. “There’s a spare toothbrush in the bathroom. Go have your shower, then we’ll have breakfast after I have my shower.” I quickly showered and brushed my teeth, and went back to Katt’s room. She went to shower and came back a few minutes later. She dressed, and I got a very good look at her sexy body...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 74 A Whimper Not A Bang

April 5, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “You missed cuddles this morning!” Birgit said accusingly when I walked into the house about 9:30am. “I know, Pumpkin, but I had a work emergency and had to go see Aunt Joyce and Grandpa A.” “And now we have to get ready for karate!” “I know. We’ll have some family time this afternoon. I don’t have any plans.” “Good!” I hugged her and the rest of the kids, then went to find Kara. We hugged and kissed, and went straight upstairs to get ready for...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 64 Fantasy Fulfilled

September 3, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Good morning, Sensei,” I said, bowing to Sensei Jim. “Good morning!” he said waving me to a chair in his office. “How was your trip?” I asked. “Enlightening. I spent most of my time acting as a manservant to Sensei Robert and Sensei Hiro.” “He who will lead, must first serve,” I said. “Someday, I’m going to send you to Sensei Hiro, should he live long enough. You understand.” “Does that mean you are now 6th Dan?” I...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 63 Not so Momentous After All

October 29, 2000, Chicago, Illinois Birgit followed me as far as the stairs, then scooted upstairs when I went to the front door and opened it. “Hi!” Sophie said. “Hi!” I replied and held the door open so she could come into the house. I closed the door behind her then led her to my study where I waited until she went in, and then walked in, closing the door behind me. I nodded to one of the wingback chairs, she sat down in one, and I sat down in the other. “Is something wrong?” she...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 61 Anala Part II

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 21 He Will Tell Thee What Thou Shalt Do

July 1982, Milford, Ohio On Tuesday morning, I kissed Kara goodbye and headed to my parents’ house for my usual morning routine with my little sister. She was happy that I could spend the morning with her and asked to take a walk, so we weren’t in the house with my mom. “Let me guess — this walk will end in the clearing,” I said with a smile. “Yes,” she said, taking my hand as we walked down Overlook towards Klondyke. As usual, we turned around and walked back, taking the path to the...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 37 Geisha

March 13, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “Hi, Steve!” Ailea said when she opened the door. “Hi,” I replied, accepting the offered hug. There was no touching of lips, just of cheeks, and I wondered if I’d misread her intentions at her birthday lunch, or if, perhaps, she detected my reluctance to return the offered affection. “Lunch is ready, so go ahead and sit. I’ll bring it in from the kitchen.” I went to the low table, sat down, and a minute later, Ailea brought miso soup and sushi, our usual...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 72 An Explosive Discovery

April 3, 1997, Dallas, Texas “Remember what I said about drinking too much,” I said, as I poured bourbon into three cups. We’d stopped at a liquor store, bought a bottle of Blanton’s, and then returned to the small suite I’d reserved at the Westin. Deborah’s room was down the hall, and Krissy’s was two floors below. Krissy’s comment had caught me a bit off guard, but I hadn’t reacted visibly. I didn’t know her quite well enough to know if she’d been teasing with Deborah, so I was being...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 4 ElyseChapter 59 Karas Birthday

March 28, 1991, Chicago, Illinois “This day belongs to you, Kara!” I said when the three of us woke on Thursday morning. “Happy birthday!” Jessica said. “Thanks,” Kara replied happily. “I think I’d like an amazing birthday fuck from our husband, and then a nice loving shower with my wife!” Kara said. “Do we have enough time?” I asked. Jessica giggled, “I set the alarm for thirty minutes earlier!” “Then let’s not waste any of it!” I said pulling Kara to me. Kara’s squeals as I plunged...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 46 Rite of Passage

September 4, 2000, Chicago, Illinois On Monday morning I went to my study to make a surreptitious call to ensure that the surprise I’d planned for Kara was still going to happen, and after confirming that it was, Jesse, Matthew, Michael, and I began preparing for the Labor Day party by getting beer and soda into coolers, getting the grill ready, setting up tables and chairs in the backyard, and ensuring the liquor cabinets were stocked while my wives and daughters worked on food prep in the...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 2 StephieChapter 14 Space Considerations

September 1, 1987, Chicago, Illinois “I heard that you have some kind of plan to help Ed,” I said to Connie. “There’s no plan,” she replied. “A witness who saw the shopkeeper alive after Ed left came forward.” That sounded convenient, and I wondered if the witness was real or someone that Anthony had put forward to solve the problem. Certainly, the videotape was real, because I couldn’t imagine how Anthony could have faked that, but the witness? Who knew? “So is he being released? Or is...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 100 A Full Circle

August 17, 1997, Chicago, Illinois We finished lunch and Marissa and the younger kids went to play, but Natalie sat with the adults to talk, with coffee, tea, or soft drinks. The Sarcus were very comfortable, but the Heaths were still struggling. But, vitally, they hadn’t left and hadn’t insisted Natalie leave the group. “Can you explain how you developed this attitude and approach?” Chris asked. I nodded, “It started when I was just a bit younger than Natalie. My mom was a total control...

A WellLived Life Book 3 PiaChapter 6 A Tale of Three Cities Part III

July 1979 — Falkenberg, Sweden On Friday, when I got back from my run, Pam was in her bra and panties again. I whistled at her, she giggled, then finished dressing. I showered, and we went to breakfast and finished up our last day. Once class was done, we were pretty much free. On Saturday, we’d have several optional activities and then on Sunday we’d head back to our host families. After dinner on Friday, I took Pam’s hand and we walked towards the river. It was quiet and peaceful, and...

A WellLived Life Book 3 PiaChapter 38 Homeward Bound

July 1980, Over the North Atlantic We reached cruising altitude, and I settled back to read my book. Pam raised the armrest between us, snuggled close to me and read as well. The cabin crew offered drinks, and I had my first Coke in a year! Meal service began about an hour and a half into the flight. After the cabin crew picked up the trays and offered drinks again, they passed once more, offering headsets for the movie. Trevor and Maria took them, but Pam and I didn’t, instead we turned on...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 88 Hard or Soft

July 8, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “Is it really that surprising?” Leah asked. “I suppose not,” I replied. “I just didn’t read too much into the kiss on the cheek.” “I didn’t think it was a good idea to kiss you on the lips with all those people around, because I had no idea who they were or what they would think. You were VERY careful with our dance, so I kind of followed your lead.” Which showed very mature thinking on her part. Both of these girls were exactly the kind of students I...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 12 House Calls

November 8, 1993, Chicago, Illinois A dark fog swirled before my eyes as I tried to take stock. My head hurt, badly. I felt something on my face and realized, dimly, it was an oxygen mask. My right hand was uncomfortable and I recognized the feeling of an IV and pulse-oximeter. My left arm ached fiercely. On my chest I felt the pads and wires of an EKG. I didn’t feel anything else wrong as I continued taking inventory. I tried to open my eyes, but the fog didn’t clear. I tried to speak, but...
