November 1980, Milford, Ohio

On Monday, at lunch, I called Doctor Mercer’s office and found that the Monday after school slot was still open. I scheduled appointments for the remainder of the year. I left school as soon as the bell rang and headed to see Doctor Mercer. I explained to her what Bethany had said and how she felt it was negatively affecting our relationship. Doctor Mercer asked a lot of questions as she tried to draw out my concerns and issues. I felt somewhat better when I left and was looking forward to working with Doctor Mercer.

On Thursday, I called Melanie and asked her and Pete to have lunch with me on Friday before I left for Indianapolis. We agreed to meet at Frisch’s at 11:00am on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

On Friday and Saturday, Debbie and I went to dinner and then made love. Of course, I maintained my usual Sunday routine. I also made sure I spoke with Bethany each day and kept her up to date on how things were going with Doctor Mercer.

On Thanksgiving, we had our usual family meal, which Dad and I prepared. When we finished eating, we cleaned up and then headed to my grandparents’ house for the family gathering. I hadn’t seen Vickie in a while, so Stephanie and I hung out with her for most of the evening. Vickie said that she was still seeing her next-door neighbor secretly and really having a lot of fun. She did flirt a bit, but it didn’t seem to me that she was doing anything other than just being flirty.

On Friday morning, after Stephanie and I swam and ate breakfast, I packed my overnight bag and double-checked the route in my atlas. I put everything in the car and then went to hang out with Stephanie. I let her know that I had asked Dad and that he had OK’d her coming up to Columbus at Christmas with Pete and Melanie. They would come up on Thursday morning and depending on timing, either Pete and Melanie would bring her home or she could come home with me. Stephanie was ecstatic, and that got me an enthusiastic hug from her. I shuddered a bit, feeling her body against mine, even if it was only a second or two!

At 10:45am I said goodbye to Dad, letting him know that I would be heading out directly from Frisch’s. I told him that I was going to ask Stephanie to join us and that Pete and Melanie would bring her home. He said that was OK. I told Stephanie, and we headed out to meet Pete and Melanie.

“Steve, you know I’ve never seen this apartment you go to,” Stephanie said in a sexy voice.

“Not a chance, Squirt! Do you know how dangerous that would be?” I chuckled.

“Yes!” she smirked.

Fortunately, we pulled into the parking lot and saw Pete and Melanie getting out of Pete’s car. Melanie gave me a super-sexy French kiss as she always did, and Pete and I shook hands. Stephanie hugged Melanie and then Pete and we went inside. We had a good time eating and catching up. We talked about the December ice dancing competition and made plans for Pete and Melanie to bring Stephanie with them.

When we finished, we said our goodbyes and agreed to see each other during Christmas break. Stephanie hugged me and kissed me on the cheek. I brushed my hand through her hair and then let her go.

“See you Sunday night, Big Brother.”

November 1980, Indianapolis, Indiana

I got into my car and headed along Route 50 to I-275. I followed I-275 to I-74 and, just over two hours after I left Milford, I arrived in Indianapolis. I found the hotel, parked my car and walked into the lobby a little after 2:00pm. I went to the desk and asked for Håkan Sundström. After a bit of fiddling on the computer, they found him. It seemed that their reservation system didn’t handle the special characters! It dawned on me that I needed to look into that for any programs we wrote. The clerk called their room and, after a moment, told me that someone would be down to meet me.

I was sure who that someone would be. About two minutes later, I was almost knocked over by a blonde Swedish whirlwind that swept across the lobby from the elevator. Katt hugged me tight and kissed me so thoroughly I thought she was going to rip my clothes off right there in the middle of the lobby.

“«Hej Katt»,” I gasped when she finally released me. “«Saknade du mig?»” I chuckled. (“Did you miss me?”)

She had already grabbed my hand and had started pulling me with her towards the elevators when she huffed back at me, “«Kom up till mitt rum med mig och jag ska visa dig hur mycket jag har saknat dig!»” (“Come up to my room with me and I’ll show you how much I missed you!”)

We got into the elevator and rode up to the fifth floor, where she practically dragged me down the hall. She used a key to open a room, pulled me inside, and shut the door. I dropped my bag and her hands went to my waist and she roughly pulled my shirt over my head. She unbuckled my belt, unbuttoned and unzipped my pants and yanked them down, along with my underwear. She pushed me onto the bed, pulled off my shoes and socks, and then removed my pants and underwear that had bunched at my ankles.

Katt had her clothes off seconds later and got into my lap, facing me. She wrapped her legs around me, raised herself up, positioned my dick against her sopping pussy with one hand, and, with a quick motion, fully impaled herself on me. She wrapped her arms around me and began bouncing up and down on my shaft, kissing me hard and deep.

I grabbed her butt, squeezing hard as she humped and ground against me. It only took a short time before my Swedish whirlwind began groaning loudly and arched her back hard, grinding into me as her pussy spasmed. When her orgasm had passed, she began rippling the muscles of her pussy while moving up and down on my shaft. I groaned and came hard a minute later, filling her pussy with my cum.

“«Hej Steve!»” Katt said, giggling.

I kept using Swedish with her, “That was quite the greeting, Katt!”

“I’ve been horny all day!” she said with a soft kiss, still breathing hard as we slowly came down from our orgasms. “It was tough to skate our Compulsory Dance this morning when I was thinking about doing this with you. But we did fine.”

“This morning? When did you arrive?”

“Late yesterday. Our Original Dance is tomorrow evening and then our Free Dance is on Sunday afternoon. Mikael and I will do a run through of our routines tomorrow afternoon and Sunday morning, but otherwise, I’m all yours!”

She lifted off me and took my hand.

“Let’s take a shower and go see my parents and then we’ll see Mikael.”

We went into the bathroom and got into the shower together, rubbing our bodies together under the spray. We dried off and dressed, then went next door to her parents’ room. I greeted Inger with a hug and Håkan with a handshake.

“«Hej Steve»! You’re still OK to speak Swedish?” Håkan asked.

“Of course!” I replied in Swedish. “How are you doing?”

“We’re good. I see Katt already greeted you!” he chuckled.

“Yes. Very enthusiastically,” I said with a smile.

“He still makes my toes curl, Dad!” Katt smirked.

“I told you back in Sweden there were some things a dad doesn’t need to know, Katt!” he said with a groaning laugh, covering his ears.

“Steve,” Inger said, “please join us for dinner tonight, otherwise, we’re sure Katt will keep you busy.”

“I’m sure of that, too, Inger. She’s going to try to make up for three months in less than three days!”

Both Inger and Håkan laughed and Katt beamed.

“Mom, Dad, we’re going to see Mikael now. We’ll see you for dinner at 6:00pm.”

“See you later, Steve,” Inger said, as Katt dragged me from the room.

We went down the hall and Katt knocked on the door of a room. Mikael opened the door and invited us in. He was sharing a room with his parents, unlike Katt, who had her own room. Of course, I suspected she would have shared with her parents if I wasn’t here.

“How’s Kayla, Mikael?”

“I broke up with her last month. I’m dating a girl named Amy now.”

“He got what he wanted from Kayla, so now he’s moved on to another innocent girl to corrupt,” Katt teased.

Mikael turned red, which made me think that Katt was close to the truth.

“Mikael, we’ll see you for breakfast in the morning,” Katt said, dragging me to the door.

“Sure!” Mikael said to our retreating backs as he closed the door behind us.

“I see you’re still just as demanding as ever, Katt!” I said as she pulled me down the hall and back into her room.

I expected her to lead me to the bed, but she led me to a large, comfortable chair instead. I sat down and she hopped into my lap and curled up against my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and held her.

“You know what, Steve? I missed this more than anything. Just curled up in your lap and having you hold me.”

“More than sex?” I teased.

“Believe it or not, yes,” she said softly, resting her head against my shoulder. “There’s something special about being together like this. It makes me feel loved and wanted.”

“You are. If you lived closer...” I said, not completing the thought. I just tilted her head to me and gave her a soft kiss on her lips.

Katt purred, “I wish.”

She moved a bit against me and asked, “Are you going to apply to college in Colorado?”

I hadn’t even looked at my options in Colorado. The question was, should I even bother to look there? I was going to get into IIT and so was Jennifer. I needed to tell Katt what was going on and then deal with any fallout.

“I’m probably going to Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. That’s really my first choice of schools and I’m sure to be accepted.”

“You won’t even try to come to Colorado?”

“If you’re going to compete and travel, and I’m going to be in school, how much will I really be able to see you?”

“I know,” she sighed. “I wish it was different, but you know my priorities. As much as I want to be with you, I have to do this,” she said with sadness. “But there is a competition in Chicago during the Summer. Maybe you could come to that one? It’s a national one, much bigger than this one.”

“I can try. Just tell me the dates and I’ll let you know. I’ll see you in Columbus after Christmas!”

“What about the Spring?”

“Well, given that I have college visits to make and lots going on after I register, it might be tough. You could always come visit me for a weekend if you can take a break from training.”

“That would be cool! I want to meet your family and friends. Let’s talk about it at Christmas.”

“You’ll meet Pete and Melanie in Columbus, and my sister will be there with them.”

“How cool!”

“So, what’s this surprise you promised me?”

“You’ll see after dinner. Just be patient!”

“I assume you need to get a good night’s sleep tonight and tomorrow?”

Katt sighed, “Yes. No all-night fucking for us, unfortunately, but we will still have fun! Breakfast is at 8:00am, so as long as we’re asleep by 11:00pm, I’ll be fine. I’ll sleep really well in your arms!”

“OK,” I answered. “But let’s not do anything that might mess up your skating.”

“No chance. I know better than that. But we can still have quite a bit of fun! Speaking of which, let’s cuddle for a little while, and then I want you to make love to me, your way.”

We stayed cuddled with Katt curled up in my lap for about a half hour, with few words between us, and a soft kiss every once in a while. Then we made love passionately and slowly, our mutual orgasms crashing hard over us after about twenty minutes.

“That’s what I remember. Wow!” she moaned.

“Yeah,” I agreed, “we are pretty good together.”

“Pretty good? If that’s ‘pretty good’, I don’t know that we’d survive ‘very good’!”

I pulled Katt to cuddle me and cupped her butt in my hand.

Katt giggled, “If you want that, you can have it later!”

“Yes, I’d like that!”

“Me too!” she said, clearly excited by the idea.

We lay in bed together until about 5:30pm when we got up to take another shower and dress for dinner. We went to meet Inger and Håkan in their room, and then we all took the elevator to the lobby and walked into the hotel restaurant. We had a nice meal together, and when we finished, Inger reminded Katt to get to bed at a reasonable time.

“Don’t worry, Mom, I’ll be in bed early!” Katt giggled.

“I meant to sleep, Katt!” her mom said with a smile.

“I’ll make sure she sleeps properly, Inger. Remember, I have HER wrapped around my little finger, not the other way around!”

Both Inger and Håkan laughed as Katt and I headed back upstairs. When we got back to the room, I sat down in the chair and Katt curled up in my lap again.

“So, what’s the surprise?”

“In a little bit. First, you promised me something!” she said, wiggling her butt.

She got off of my lap and went into the bathroom and came back with a jar of Vaseline. She set it on the night table next to the bed and quickly stripped off her clothes. She got into the bed on her stomach and shook her butt in the air.

“Well, what are you waiting for?!” she giggled.

I took off my clothes and opened the jar of Vaseline and slathered it over my dick. I spread a liberal amount between Katt’s butt cheeks, then put the jar down and climbed into the bed. I positioned my dick between her cheeks and against her hole. Katt pressed a finger into her pussy, then let out a long breath and visibly relaxed. I pushed hard against her and my glans popped into her butt.

“Ungh!” Katt grunted.

I waited a short time, then pushed steadily until I was fully embedded in her, my pubic hair touching her cheeks, causing her to groan into the pillows. I withdrew most of the way and pushed back in, eliciting another groan. I started a slow rhythm while she fingered herself.

“You can go a little faster,” she gasped.

I increased the speed of my thrusts and she began rippling her muscles.

“Oh God, Katt,” I gasped. “You’re going to make me cum!”

“I’m close! Harder!” she hissed.

I went as hard as I thought I safely could and after a dozen strokes slammed hard into her butt and came explosively as she squeezed my dick hard. Katt groaned into her pillow as her orgasm caused her entire body to shake. We lay there for several minutes, enjoying the afterglow of our orgasms before we got up and showered. We both put on robes and sat in the easy chair, cuddling. After about twenty minutes, there was a knock at the door.

Katt got up off my lap and went to open the door. I recognized her friend Laura, the figure skater, as she came into the room.

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 78 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part II

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 57 Land of the Rising Sun Part III

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

June 15, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “That’s everything, I think,” I said. “My luggage is in the trunk of the car, I have my passport, tickets, and money, both dollars and yen. I can’t think of anything else.” “I’ll see you in five weeks,” Elyse said, giving me a quick hug. “Did you see they rioted in Vancouver last night because they lost the Stanley Cup?” I chuckled, “Only Canadians would riot when they LOSE the Cup! I did see that on the front page of the Trib. Are we ready?” “Michelle and...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 5 Housemates

August 1981, Chicago, Illinois On Sunday morning, I made my usual call to Karin. I described everything in the apartment and all the things I’d done during the week, including the reception. Both of us would start school in a week and we were both looking forward to it. When we finished talking, I went out for my run, showered, and ate breakfast. I made some tea, started a load of laundry, and then turned on the stereo. I put on an REO Speedwagon album and then relaxed on the couch with the...

August 21, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Unbelievable,” I said when I read the headline from the Chicago Tribune. “It says here that Solidarity activist Tadeusz Mazowiecki was nominated to be Prime Minister of Poland.” I hadn’t had a chance to read the paper on Sunday because it hadn’t been delivered before we left for the race track in Michigan. “So now what?” Kara asked. “We’re in totally uncharted territory. Your guess is as good as anyone’s right about now.” “Steve, do you have a minute?”...

December 9, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “What a total cluster fuck!” I growled. “Scalia is right, but it’s just going to make the problem worse. The RIGHT solution was to let the political process work. But NO, we can’t let THAT happen. So, given where we are, I agree with the stay which stops the statewide manual recounts for the exact reason Scalia said in the ruling - you absolutely have to have a statewide, objective set of standards before you do a manual recount, and no such standard...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 36 My Lifes Journey

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. I read, wrote some longhand journal entries, ate, and generally relaxed while the plane zipped over the Atlantic. I’d come home, taken a sauna, eaten a light meal, and gone straight to bed, not bothering to check messages, look at the mail that...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 4 Calm Before the Storm

June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

July, 1982, Milford, Ohio I woke up early on Friday morning to make breakfast for Kara and her mom before she went to work. Mrs. Blanchard was surprised, but very pleased. After her mom left for work, Kara gave me a fierce kiss. “Thanks for staying in and cooking breakfast for us,” Kara said. “I hope that doesn’t cause you trouble with Stephanie, with you breaking your normal routine.” “Don’t worry about it,” I said, kissing her back. “We got in a bit later than I expected, and she’ll...

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois After Rosie left, I stripped the sheets from my bed, as well as the cover of the duvet, and tossed everything into the washing machine. As Dave stood in his kitchen thinking about playing in the Bell Canadian Open with Mike Weir, he was shaken from his reverie by a honking horn. He grabbed the backpack he had prepared earlier and ran to meet John. As he climbed into the car with his best friend he immediately said, "You'll never guess what just happened." As John backed out of the driveway he asked, "What?" Dave explained, "I got a call from the RCGA and they want me to play in the Canadian Open next week. I'm going...

March 25, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “What time do I need to have you home?” “8:00pm will be fine,” Misty replied. “My parents are in Normal visiting my brother at Illinois State. June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

October 1982, Chicago, Illinois The drive back to Chicago was as uneventful as usual, and I arrived at the apartment just before 6:00pm. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 6 SamanthaChapter 21 Georg and Maria

September 7, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “That went reasonably well,” Michelle said when her parents drove off. “There were a few times I thought my expression would give away something I shouldn’t. You were messing with me, weren’t you?” She grabbed both my hands and smiled, “I was telling the truth, in my own way. Thank you!” She leaned forward and kissed my cheek. “So, what’s left?” I asked. “To visit UofC tomorrow and formally withdraw from classes. To spend some time with you and your...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 14 A Southern Belle a Surprise Proposal two Cheerleaders an Old Flame and a Girl Back Home Part I

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. I was alternating between the history and culture book and the Communist Party book, decided on the history and culture book for this time. I didn’t get much reading done because I was thinking about Tatyana, which led me to...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 9 KamiChapter 38 And Sometimes It Stinks To Be Big

January 23, 1996, Chicago, Illinois “Father, bless!” I said, greeting Father Basil with upturned palms. “Bless you, Stephen,” he said as I kissed his hand. The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. We placed our food orders right away and he left to put them in with the kitchen. “I’m not quite sure how to address this, so I’m just going to ask you bluntly. Are you the father of Michelle’s baby?” I shook my...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 8 NIKAChapter 68 The Rules

June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 73 Hypothetical Questions

December 5, 2000, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota “I had a good time last night,” I said. “I was surprised you invited a friend!” Mary laughed as we walked into the exam room, “Naomi had a good time as well. You know what a Resident’s life is like.” I nodded, “No social life.” “Exactly. You guys seemed to hit it off pretty well.” “Yes, but I’m not here for that!” “You’re everywhere for that, and you know it!” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s just say that you hit the sweet spot -...

A WellLived Life Book 3 PiaChapter 25 The Puzzle and the Cat Part II

March 1980, Hovås/Göteborg, Sweden I woke early as usual, but just enjoyed being in bed with Katt. When she woke, she hopped out of bed and pulled a robe out of her closet and handed it to me. “There’s a spare toothbrush in the bathroom. Go have your shower, then we’ll have breakfast after I have my shower.” I quickly showered and brushed my teeth, and went back to Katt’s room. She went to shower and came back a few minutes later. She dressed, and I got a very good look at her sexy body...

April 5, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “You missed cuddles this morning!” Birgit said accusingly when I walked into the house about 9:30am. “I know, Pumpkin, but I had a work emergency and had to go see Aunt Joyce and Grandpa A.” “And now we have to get ready for karate!” “I know. We’ll have some family time this afternoon. I don’t have any plans.” “Good!” I hugged her and the rest of the kids, then went to find Kara. We hugged and kissed, and went straight upstairs to get ready for...

September 3, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Good morning, Sensei,” I said, bowing to Sensei Jim. “Good morning!” he said waving me to a chair in his office. “How was your trip?” I asked. “Enlightening. I spent most of my time acting as a manservant to Sensei Robert and Sensei Hiro.” “He who will lead, must first serve,” I said. “Someday, I’m going to send you to Sensei Hiro, should he live long enough. You understand.” “Does that mean you are now 6th Dan?” I...

October 29, 2000, Chicago, Illinois Birgit followed me as far as the stairs, then scooted upstairs when I went to the front door and opened it. “Hi!” Sophie said. “Hi!” I replied and held the door open so she could come into the house. I closed the door behind her then led her to my study where I waited until she went in, and then walked in, closing the door behind me. I nodded to one of the wingback chairs, she sat down in one, and I sat down in the other. “Is something wrong?” she...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 6 SamanthaChapter 12 Advice With a Twist

August 1, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “Why would Elyse ask her to have lunch with us?” Michelle whispered after we left Alli with Elyse. I laughed almost as hard as I had outside, and Kara answered. “Michelle, she didn’t invite Alli to have lunch with us, but to see if Steve wanted to HAVE Alli for lunch!” “What?” she asked, then gasped and covered her mouth. “Oh!” “Let’s just get our showers and have lunch,” I said. “Wait! Would you do that? Just go to bed with her because she asked?” “It...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 61 Anala Part II

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 21 He Will Tell Thee What Thou Shalt Do

July 1982, Milford, Ohio On Tuesday morning, I kissed Kara goodbye and headed to my parents’ house for my usual morning routine with my little sister. She was happy that I could spend the morning with her and asked to take a walk, so we weren’t in the house with my mom. “Let me guess — this walk will end in the clearing,” I said with a smile. “Yes,” she said, taking my hand as we walked down Overlook towards Klondyke. As usual, we turned around and walked back, taking the path to the...

A WellLived Life Book 4 BethanyChapter 16 License and Registration

August 1980, Milford, Ohio Late on Wednesday evening Dad met my flight at Greater Cincinnati airport. He let me drive home so he could be sure I was ready to take my driving test. When we arrived home, he told me he was satisfied with my driving and he would take me to the BMV on Friday. We talked about buying the car and he offered to co-sign a note for me, so I didn’t have to use all of my savings to buy the car. He figured that if I put down $3000, I’d have payments of about $130 a month...

March 13, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “Hi, Steve!” Ailea said when she opened the door. “Hi,” I replied, accepting the offered hug. There was no touching of lips, just of cheeks, and I wondered if I’d misread her intentions at her birthday lunch, or if, perhaps, she detected my reluctance to return the offered affection. “Lunch is ready, so go ahead and sit. I’ll bring it in from the kitchen.” I went to the low table, sat down, and a minute later, Ailea brought miso soup and sushi, our usual...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 72 An Explosive Discovery

April 3, 1997, Dallas, Texas “Remember what I said about drinking too much,” I said, as I poured bourbon into three cups. We’d stopped at a liquor store, bought a bottle of Blanton’s, and then returned to the small suite I’d reserved at the Westin. Deborah’s room was down the hall, and Krissy’s was two floors below. Krissy’s comment had caught me a bit off guard, but I hadn’t reacted visibly. I didn’t know her quite well enough to know if she’d been teasing with Deborah, so I was being...

Jessica giggled, “I set the alarm for thirty minutes earlier!” “Then let’s not waste any of it!” I said pulling Kara to me. Kara’s squeals as I plunged...

August 2, 1996, Chicago, Illinois Facing an angry pimp with a knife was not a situation which called for conversation, but I also didn’t want it to escalate to the point where the police would be involved. He knew I carried a gun, and I was sure he was convinced he could stick me with the knife before I could draw. What he DIDN’T know was that I was better off WITHOUT the gun at this point. In fact, having the gun on me severely limited my options. Without a word or any warning, I shifted...

September 1, 1987, Chicago, Illinois “I heard that you have some kind of plan to help Ed,” I said to Connie. “There’s no plan,” she replied. “A witness who saw the shopkeeper alive after Ed left came forward.” That sounded convenient, and I wondered if the witness was real or someone that Anthony had put forward to solve the problem. Certainly, the videotape was real, because I couldn’t imagine how Anthony could have faked that, but the witness? Who knew? “So is he being released? Or is...

August 17, 1997, Chicago, Illinois We finished lunch and Marissa and the younger kids went to play, but Natalie sat with the adults to talk, with coffee, tea, or soft drinks. The Sarcus were very comfortable, but the Heaths were still struggling. But, vitally, they hadn’t left and hadn’t insisted Natalie leave the group. “Can you explain how you developed this attitude and approach?” Chris asked. July 1979 — Falkenberg, Sweden On Friday, when I got back from my run, Pam was in her bra and panties again. I whistled at her, she giggled, then finished dressing. I showered, and we went to breakfast and finished up our last day. Once class was done, we were pretty much free. On Saturday, we’d have several optional activities and then on Sunday we’d head back to our host families. After dinner on Friday, I took Pam’s hand and we walked towards the river. The cabin crew offered drinks, and I had my first Coke in a year! Meal service began about an hour and a half into the flight. After the cabin crew picked up the trays and offered drinks again, they passed once more, offering headsets for the movie. Trevor and Maria took them, but Pam and I didn’t, instead we turned on...

July 8, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “Is it really that surprising?” Leah asked. “I suppose not,” I replied. “I just didn’t read too much into the kiss on the cheek.” “I didn’t think it was a good idea to kiss you on the lips with all those people around, because I had no idea who they were or what they would think. You were VERY careful with our dance, so I kind of followed your lead.” Which showed very mature thinking on her part. Both of these girls were exactly the kind of students I...

November 8, 1993, Chicago, Illinois A dark fog swirled before my eyes as I tried to take stock. My head hurt, badly. I felt something on my face and realized, dimly, it was an oxygen mask. My right hand was uncomfortable and I recognized the feeling of an IV and pulse-oximeter. My left arm ached fiercely. On my chest I felt the pads and wires of an EKG. I didn’t feel anything else wrong as I continued taking inventory. I tried to open my eyes, but the fog didn’t clear. I tried to speak, but...

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois In the morning Anala and I ran as we had the previous time, then showered together, carefully washing each other’s bodies in an intimate but non-sexual way. After our shower we went to the kitchen and I made breakfast and we sat down to eat. “Steve, may I make a suggestion?” she asked. “Sure.” “Broaden your circle of friends. March 1979 Monday was back to the normal routine of school. He did, and I sat in the usual chair across from him. “She has a real problem, you know that, right?” he asked. “I do. May 1979 The limo dropped me at home about 9:00pm. I took my stuff to my room, stripped, and hung up the tux. The rest of the things went into the hamper. I took a shower, put on shorts and a t-shirt, and walked down the hall into my dad’s office. I saw no reason to put this off any longer. “Stephen, you need to explain yourself!” my mom demanded. “I was in Mrs. McGrath’s, well, Mrs. Sanders’ now, wedding, as I said.” “You walked her down the aisle!
