I could tell Catla thought she should be the one cooking, but realized she wasn't familiar with my ways. If she was going to stay around I'd be glad to give her the short course and let her take over the duty. Things were looking good too, since she hadn't mentioned leaving at all.
After we ate and I cleaned up I showed Catla my selection of available knives and also offered her a hatchet. She chose one of the smallest hatchets, a Boy Scout model and she picked an eight-inch Buck skinning knife. After her choices were made we returned to the cat.
