The United States of America, land of the free, home of the brave, and the most powerful nation on Earth. Yet, with great power comes great danger, everyone wants to be at the top. When the first woman president, President Aurora Dean, was elected, women quickly made leaps and bounds in society. Before men knew it, women were their equals in almost every way. Fortunately, because President Dean's policies were indiscriminate and wisely prevented women from achieving supremacy, men quickly accepted the new normal.
President Dean was beloved by the American people for her beauty and intelligence. After graduating from Harvard at twenty with a degree in political science, she went into politics and quickly climbed the ladder. She shattered John F. Kennedy's record for youngest president, having taken office at thirty-six. Yet, despite all, even she couldn't stop a major crisis from engulfing her country. Five months after Dean was sworn into office, a major domestic terrorist group known as MASK sent troops from all over the world to the US. Dean mobilized the military and declared war on the organization, the first war fought on American soil. Unfortunately, MASK possessed advanced technology, and their enigmatic leader, Warmaster, was a tactical genius who was seemingly uncapturable. Almost every battle ended in a loss and Dean was forced to surrender on their terms a year later.
By the time she ended the war, it was too late, the US was in more shambles than her approval rating. The population was decimated and the terms of surrender Warmaster demanded only made things worse. Although MASK agreed to leave the US for good, in return, the US needed to demilitarize and give them all their weapons. In an attempt to rebuild her country, Dean signed Executive Order 31928. In addition to providing government relief and creating new jobs, this executive order had a section which created a new license for a select few men to repopulate the country: the License to Impregnate. Any woman presented with a License to Impregnate must have sex with the man holding it and eventually give birth to a child. Advances in genetic engineering were also being made to mitigate the effects of future inbreeding.
It has been a year since the so-called "War on MASK." Dean continues to lead the country, but it is now a shadow of its former glory. Thanks to the License to Impregnate, the US is slowly recovering population-wise, but the people live in fear of another attack from the terrorists. Without their military, if MASK were to return, there would be no more America.
