In all honesty, this has got to be one of the best subs for Asian content in general. These Korean girls are just so damn cute.

Why are Korean girls so damn special anyway? Well, in recent years, it’s because most of the chicks are so damn hot. And why are they hot today and not a few years or decades back? Two words: plastic surgery. The chicks in Korea get that shit like crazy. In fact, it’s usually their parents that give them plastic surgery as a gift for their 16th birthday since that is the lowest age at which the girls can get plastic surgery. And what do they usually get it for? Usually, it’s for their jawlines and shit like that so that it becomes more like a feminine chin of some Korean stars you would see out there on the web.
By some estimates, today in Korea, 50% or more girls aged 19 to 29 have done some plastic surgery done to them. Well, better not to let all that work go to waste, right? When you have so many girls trying to look themselves hot, some of them are bound to want to show their hotness to the world. For example, if you go to the Top section, you will get a lot more high-quality content, especially if you look at a monthly, yearly, or all-time level. So, when you are looking for quality, that’s the place that you should check out because it has all the best content that the sub has to offer you, no doubt.
All these different sections come with their own pros and cons, and while Top has the best content, it also has the least new content. You could go to New and get a bunch of content all the time and you will be happy on that front, but you definitely will see a serious drop in quality. It’s only for people who either cannot get enough pics and vids from the Hot section alone, or from active members of the community who also want to have an impact on which content even reaches the Hot section in the first place. All in all, these sections are great, and you should check out Top for quality, New for quantity, and for in between on Hot. There’s plenty to choose from and all of it makes sense for some people.
Not a lot of engagement or interaction
What else should you know about /r/NSFW_Korea? Well, you should probably know about all the stats as far as the number of members is concerned and so on. The community is quite big and it’s definitely above average for a NSFW subreddit. The members aren’t as active as on some other places, that’s for sure, but at the same time, there is a fair bit of them and that means that you will see a lot more posts being made here. Apart from that, you can also expect to see a lot more upvotes too, but yeah, there just aren’t that many comments to be seen here or a lot of interaction to be made with these posts.
For me, the key part in seeing whether a community is successful on Reddit is whether or not it gets enough engagement and all that on their posts. Does /r/NSFW_Korea get enough? I don’t think so. With over 237,000 members since 2013, they should have a lot more interaction and engagement from the users by now. The engagement is quite low on this sub. I would even go as far as to say that it’s one of the lowest I’ve seen. For example, in the Top section on other NSFW subs, you could find so many people commenting and giving their remarks and shit like that. Here there are very few comments even on Top.
Mediocre design and could use some flairs too
The last thing to talk about is the design of the sub, and since it does have some customization done to it, I just cannot immediately write it off as shitty or incomplete. However, some things could still be a lot better. For example, I feel that this place is missing a few flairs that would let you choose between more professional photos and videos and some of the more amateur ones on this sub. And then there’s the issue of the overall look and feel of the sub. I just don’t get the feeling like this place is modern in any way. Subs these days are really getting inventive with their design and all that, and this one just isn’t.
Why do I say this? Well, for example, the cover photo is just a few photos of Korean girls stitched together. They don’t change, they’re always the same, and this gets quite boring really fast. Then there is the color scheme where they decided to go for some red color with the accents, which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. There is nothing with Korean chicks that associates me to red. If anything, I get associated with K pop stars and then I would expect more pink and blue colors to be on this sub instead of the colors that they went for here. All in all, the design could have been handled a lot better here.
