Britney's life had always been perfect. As the daughter of the biggest movie producer in Hollywood she lived a life without any concern. She always had plenty of money, she went to the best schools and everybody wanted to be her friend. Her name Britney was very fitting since at the age of 18, she looked alot like a young Britney Spears.
The only thing Britney missed in her life was a mother, her mother had passed away when Britney was young, but as the only child of Jerry and Beth, this only meant that her father Jerry worshipped her and spoiled her in any way possible. This however came to a drastic halt, when the MeToo movement hit Hollywood and Britney's beloved father was arrested. He was accused of molesting and raping young talents, coercing them into sexual favours in order to get the lead roles in his movies. This had been going on for many years and some of Hollywoood's biggest stars came forward and accused Jerry of really horrendous things.
Things got even worse for Jerry and Britney, when the cops started looking into Jerry's company and also found proof of tax evasion. They decided to freeze all Jerry's assets until the pending trial.
The only thing Britney was left with was her own belongings, which only consisted of her extremely expensive clothing and her beloved car, other than that, she had nothing. So when her aunt Amy offered to let Britney move in, she had no choice but to accept, eventhough she really had a bad feeling about it. First off all, she always had a feeling that Amy was extremely jealous of the life that Britney and her parents had been living. Maybe this was because it was her twin sister Beth who had gotten the attention of the biggest producer in Hollywood and got to live a life in luxury, while she had to work two jobs to make ends meet. Britney also felt that Amy blamed her and her father for the death of her mother. Secondly, living with her aunt also meant living with her cousin Ben a real looser and a geek. Where as Britney had the looks that made everybody turn their head when she walked past, Ben was the total opposite, he was a real nobody. Ben was a fat and smelly 18 year old boy who was highly intelligent and really into photography, but he never had many friends and it seemed like he did not know, how to interact with other people. Whenever Amy and Ben came by to visit, Britney always tried to avoid Ben as much as possible because of the creepy wibe that she was getting from him. Britney was sure that Ben was still a virgin and if they had been at the same school Ben would definately be one of the boys that Britney and her friends would get a kick out of harassing.
Although Britney had a bad feeling about the whole situation, it turned out that the first couple of weeks living with her aunt and cousin wasn't so bad. She did however miss her old school, but it was kind of nice going to a new school, where people didn't know, that she was the daughter of the Hollywood producer, who was accused of molesting some of the biggest stars in the film industry, and due to her looks, she already had alot of friends at her new school. At home she did her best to avoid Ben as much as possible, which meant taking long drives in her car and staying away from the house as much as possible.
Britney's new life really changed one Friday evening about 4 weeks after she moved in with her aunt and cousin. After spending another day at the mall with some of her new friends, she arrived home late, Amy had just finished the dishes after dinner and was not in a great mood. She told Britney that they needed to have a talk, and led her to the living room. Ben was sitting on the couch in the living room and when Britney looked at him, she got a feeling that something was very wrong. He looked like he had been crying but when he saw Britney he could not conseal a small smile.
When they all were gathered in the living room Amy told Britney to sit next to Ben and then he started speaking "Britney you have now been living under my roof for a month and I have to say that I am greatly dissapointed in your behaviour, you never help around the house, you eat our food but do not contribute financially and to make things even worse, I have noticed that money has started disappering from my purse. To top it all off, it has now come to my attention that you and your so called friends have been bullying Ben at school calling him a virgin and making fun of his looks, what do you have to say in your defence?" Before Britney could answer, Amy continued telling how dissapointed she was and that she could see no other way than kicking Britney out of the house. Britney looked down at her feet, she was speechless, why did this looser have to run home to his mother and cry about the things that happened at school, he was 18 so he should be able to stand up for himself. She had no knowledge about the money that had gone missing, but the smile on Bens face told her that he might know something about it. One thing Briney knew however, was that she really needed to stay at her aunts place, at least until her fathers trial had ended, because she had no other place to go.
She put on an Oscar worthy preformance, when the tears started rolling down her cheeks and she started denying all the accusations. This only seemed to infuriate Amy even more and she gave Britney an ultimatum: Either she packed all of her belongings immediately and left the house or she could stay in the house, but then she would need to accept, that she was there at the mercy of Amy and she would do exactly what she was told from now on.
