‘As you wish captain, I will have you shown the way to the Astrometrics Lab. While it’s not quite what it was meant for, it WILL fulfill your requirements admirably. Or I believe it will Sir.’ Said Atherian.
Brian laughed. ‘For a while until we get everything set up and rearranged, somethings will have to be multipurpose. So lets see if the Astrometrics Lab will work, even if it’s not perfect I’ll still probably be able to use it.’
‘As you will, captain. As Astrometrics is to the forward of the ship it would be prudent to use the chutes.’
Atherian informed Brian.
‘Chutes? As in high speed one person elevators?’ Brian asked. Great just freaking great, Brian thought. Adrenalin rush here we come, I hate extreme sports but I get a high from speed and I’m going to be going into design and decoration with a fucking buzz.. GOD how I need a PEPSI!!! He thought from the bottom of his heart.
‘Possibly captain, possibly. I have very little idea what you are referring to.’ Atherian said apologetically.
Brian couldn’t help but laugh. ‘I AM sorry but the culture clash is hitting my sick twisted sense of humor. Elevators are used to get to higher or lower levels of buildings, I’m guessing your chutes run over your LENGTH as well as your height.’
‘You are correct in your assessment of the chutes.’ Atherian observed. ‘In several moments as I have no idea what you use for time now, you will reach the far end of the ship where you will be shown to Astrometrics. Also I have completed the scan of the immediate area, the 3D capabilities of the lab will be optimal in showing you the immediate area.’
‘Yeah yeah, as long we can start.’ Brian stopped as a thought hit him, he turned to look in the corner where most cameras would be in Earth human installations. ‘Atherian, is it a bad idea to go off the idea that it’s been so long that if there are humans still up there, that the Empire still is? Is it wrong in the possibility that when we rejoin them that we’ll be worth something besides the spawn of people that actually had the balls to stand up to tyrants? Atherian didn’t respond for several minutes. ‘I am unable to be of assistance in answering your question. I AM sorry but far to much time has passed without any new data input and there are far to many probabilities to narrow down anyone without further information.’
Brian sighed. ‘Yeah, well I need to go get the TWINS. Should have grabbed them before I left the room, need to get in the habit of carrying them.’
‘That’s no joke, we could have started you on your training in how to yield us in battle by now.’ Said a very uptight Ashilon, startling Brian enough to nearly make him shit his pants.
‘Calm yourself Ashilon, he is new and in joining with his mind we have seen that weapons are not needed to much by the average human, here on Earth anyway.’ Icialan said berating Ashilon.
‘No, just the very unlucky ones or the ones that go into the ethnic parts of towns. At one time that wasn’t all that dangerous, maybe being in Little Italy on Easter wasn’t the best idea but it was still a hell of a lot safer than it is now.’ Brian said as he was trying to figure out the correct direction to turn in the hall to get the the sword chamber.
‘IDIOT!’ Shouted Ashilon. ‘Try using some of that implanted knowledge to get back up here and get us!’
Brian laughed. ‘I’m lousy with directions, that’s what GPS is for. Or Tina for that matter.’ As Atherian guided the droid in front of Brain and then sent it the direction of the nearest chute.

‘GREAT, just fucking GREAT!’ Brian said as he looked at the sealed doors to the sword chamber. ‘OKAY, Athenian check atmospheric conditions in side…. shit, sorry no sensors.’
‘Actually captain, I do have sensors in the room as the destroyed droid had a full sensor pack installed.
AS to the internal atmospheric conditions I am reading a vacuum in the sword room. The only possibility I can conclude that you be able to obtain access is to shut down the cores and deactivate the safeguards that have been installed to contain the Psyker Swords.’ Atherian said.
‘No there might be another possibility to this. Captain Anilease didn’t know about the swords being on board did she?’ Brian asked as he contemplated the sealed doors and the vacuum on the other side.
‘She did not, but what possibilities does that open up for gaining access to the chamber?’ Asked Atherian.
‘Simple, lets try the captains’ complete override commands. Since she didn’t know they were here then there would be no reason to restrict the command overrides to the chamber as well. Is there?’ Asked Brian.
‘Well there is no reason to believe that the commands wouldn’t work, following that line of logic. But there is also no guarantee that it would work.’ Atherian said as Brian started reciting commands that were to be only used when only the captain was the only one left to initiate the self-destruct mechanism. ‘All systems ready captain what are your orders?’ When Brian had completed the lengthy line of codes and commands
‘Active ALL sensors in the sword chamber, label it in all following scans as power core replacement parts. Second in all sealed sections do a toxin flush, I want nothing that MIGHT be harmful left in there. After the flush has been completed, I want full atmospheric conditions reintroduced in to the chamber and all adjacent areas.’ Brian sat down and waited to see if the override would have the desired effects.
After some time had passed Atherian spoke up. ‘I apologize captain but there has been a development that requires your attention, as there has been a new ‘arrival’. Taking into account your handling of Athena, the new arrival might give you more options sir. Also the toxin flush has now been completed and breathable atmosphere is being replaced. I have placed ‘captain access only’ restrictions on the sword chamber, it will seem extreme but should not draw unwanted attention.’
‘Great, let me grab the Twins and I’ll make for medical and see what we’ve got to play with now!’ He said as he squeezed threw a quickly opening set of doors.
As he made his way farther into the room he paused a moment and looked around. ‘Treyont over to your right fits your line of thought as well as any.’ Said Icialan as a rapier looking sword started to glow a violet shade.
‘Thanks Icialan, hmm no chance of private thoughts is there anymore?’ Brian said with a humorless laugh.
‘I wish there was.’ Said Ashilon. ‘Your caged inner self was less than agreeable when you held back last night. W

‘Indeed!’ Agreed Icialan. ‘You will create QUITE the fiery ice storm, in all likelihood you will end up harming as many allies as enemies.’
‘Well when the time comes I’ll do what I have to, to WHOEVER I have to. Something Tina and the others are quite well aware of, especially since I stood up to Tina’s and Brianna’s slaver grandparents. Now if we can just get Laria to admit to herself that’s what they are, she keeps herself in denial that they’re the reason of a friends disappearance.’

As Brian entered the med bay he found Athena was waiting for him. ‘Atherian said that it might be best for some more modifications?’
Brian unzipped her ship suit and reached in and rubbed her crotch collecting some of her juices. ‘Only if you wish to accept them.’ He said he stuck his fingers into her mouth.

As Brian walked over to the table Atherian spoke up. ‘I apologize about this, but as the four legged animal was about to brought in the droid picked up a VERY faint life reading and a second but very much smaller entity was also collected.’
‘Well, the little cottontail will just require more mass added to get her or he whichever it is up to worthwhile size. The whitetail deer won’t require much to get her into useful shape. So have their intelligence levels been raised yet and can they speak human yet as well? Since I figure any injuries have been dealt with before I even got in here.’ Brian said with a smile. ‘You know, when I’ve got the time or a great enough reason I’m going to have to stay down here while your doing the doctor thing and watch.’
‘Whenever you’re ready captain and there is someone or thing to doctor captain.’ Atherian said as the modifications to Athena were started. ‘As to your questions and your assumptions. Yes all injuries have been dealt with as soon as an injury assessment was completed. Their intelligence has been increased to that of adult human though I have reinforced their allegiance to you and put their sex drive secondary to following any and all orders from you. Though they can understand human speech until their bodies are altered they will require voice generators.’
‘Very well, where are they? While I’m attaching them please awaken the two of them.’ Brian said as he made his way to the office that was now lit to show Brian where the voice generators were.

Unless the cottontail species as you call her has the ability to hold off on giving birth, they would be born in the middle of the up coming winter cycle. IF you were to have sex with her as she is, I do not believe the young would survive the act with your aggression levels.’

The deer started backing up cowering as Brian turned toward her. ‘I, I, I didn’t, I mean I wasn’t the one who didn’t believe you. Please don’t throw me back in the river.’ She begged trembling in fear as he approached her.
‘IF I was going to do anything, I would do it. What it would NOT be, is to throw you back out into that cold water. Now hold still, I just want to feel you. ‘While she did have quite a large quantity of internal parasites, they were dealt with in her medical before I called you down here captain.’ Atherian said trying to give Brian even more time to cool off. ‘Before you ask, she to is pregnant. Though with her bigger mass the survival through the coming winter is more likely than with the rabbit.’
‘I would expect her to be, the rut should be pretty much ending. Anyway what do we call you? Because I can’t keep calling you deer all the time and if I were to call you venison I’ll start to get hungry.’ He said with a evil grin.
‘Umm, really since we don’t have need of names on the surface why don’t you give us some.’ The deer said as she started to slowly but surely came out from behind the bed and approached Brian.
Brian just groaned and put his head in a hand. ‘CHRIST!!! OK, lets get this over with I don’t have all day. Since the bunny is nympho to her core lets go with Cora and since your more down to Earth, Tara. You think that those names will work?’
‘Tara, Tara, I think it might work out.’ The deer said with a smile. ‘So really were you wanting to see what a adult deer feels like or are you just wanting to feel me up?.’ She asked offering a side view to Brian.

‘Yes captain, well if you’ll help give me a nudge up I’ll get on a table.’ Tara said as she swished her tail at him in invitation.
