_Damn, I look good for 30. _I mused, and glanced up at my husband, Jonah. He had combed back blond hair, which was where our baby girl, Daisy, got hers from. Four hours later, at about 12 in the morning, I walked across the street with a tray of cookies seran-wrapped. I tucked some of my dark hair behind my ear and knocked. When the door opened, my breath hitched a little. The guy was probably about seventeen, with short hair, very dark skin, and bulging biceps and abs underneath his white T-shirt. His legs were quite toned, and I could’ve sworn I’d seen a bit of a bulge in his shorts when my gaze had passed that area, but I focused on his attractive green eyes, and blinked.
“Um, hi. I’m Danielle White. I live across the street. These are for your family.” I said, my voice a bit shaky, and my skin tingled when his dark skin brushed my light skin as I handed him the tray.
“Thanks. I’m Shaun Jones. My mom loves cookies.” the handsome boy grinned easily, and my heart fluttered. Stupid heart.
“Shaun? Who is it?” a female voice called, and Shaun stepped aside to reveal a pretty black woman, who looked surprisingly young.
“I’m your neighbor. Danielle White.” I smiled, trying to ignore the woman’s big black globes falling out of her shirt, practically.
“I’m Angela Jones, Shaun’s mother.” the gorgeous black woman smiled, and side-hugged Shaun, who I struggled to keep my eyes off of.
“Well, it’s a pleasure.” I smiled.
“Oh, wait, don’t you want to meet my husband Marcus?” Angela asked. I nodded tersely, my stupid heart still fluttering over the sexy seventeen year old I was becoming a slobbery mess over. Angela called back into the house, and Angela stepped out onto the porch to allow Marcus Jones to be seen in the doorframe. My breath hitched again, as Marcus was just as infuriatingly handsome as his son. Marcus was a bit stockier, and had more defined muscles, and he had a chiseled sort of face, like a god in a sculpture.
“Danielle White.” I smiled, and held out my hand. Marcus shook it, and my hand tingled when the handshake was over.
“It was a pleasure meeting you all.” I smiled, but Angela spoke up.
“Hold on, Danielle. I’m being thrown a welcome to work party. You’re welcome to come, but we won’t have enough stuff if you bring anybody else, hope that’s ok.” Angela smiled.
“Yeah, of course. My husband, Jonah, has to watch our eight year old, anyways.” I stammered, and Angela smiled at me.
“Great! Well, it’s tonight, so, go get ready!” Angela beamed, and I laughed. It had been a while since I’d had any female friends, even if I was impossibly attracted to both her husband and her son. Yikes.
