"Do you want another drink?" He asked and held up his own empty glass.
Dani glanced down and suddenly realized that her glass had mostly just ice left in it, and taking a last sip from it she put it down on the table.
"Yes please, gin and tonic." Dani said, glancing at Ana she saw her glass was almost empty as well. "And get one for Ana too." She added.
A few minutes later Chris returned. "Here you are." He said holding out a drink in each hand.
"Thanks." Dani said, taking both glasses from him.
Dani turned to Ana, and put her hand on her friend's leg and she turned to Dani.
"Chris got you another drink." Dani said.

Looking down at the fresh drink in front of her she quickly finished the drink she had in her hand and put the empty glass on the table.
"You will get me drunk." Ana said laughing, picking up her fresh drink.

By the time it was time for their dinner reservation Dani had finished her second drink, Chris took it up on himself to gather everyone together to make sure they all went into the restaurant, Dani slipped her hand into Chris' as they walked the short distance from the bar to the restaurant. "OK, so no work talk at the dinner table." Ana added,

He repeated the question to Nicole and Dani leaned against Chris to give him room as he poured her a drink, as the waiter made his way around the table, conversations sprang up all around the table, in all there was thirteen of them for dinner tonight, and while the ends of the table had their own conversations so did the middle, sporadic interruptions occurred as the waiter returned bringing drinks to the table and it was left to Ana to interrupt everyone as she saw that they all had a drink.
"Cheers everyone." She said above everyone else.
As one the table replied and as everyone clinked glasses with everyone, they could reach they toasted their first drink together before returning to their individual conversations, a few minutes later the waiter was back this time to take the food order. "Yes sir." He replied and headed back to the bar.
Chris brought drinks back to the table, passing them around, and soon Dani, and several others, had two drinks on the table.
"Goodnight." The bartender said as he left, waving.
"Night." about half of the table replied.
Since the dinner the numbers in the group had slowly been dropping, a few had left and gone back to their rooms right after dinner and while they still took up two tables and had brought over extra chairs, one by one, people were calling it a night and now with the bar closed there was only eight of them still out sat around the tables, chatting and drinking. Amy had just rejoined the group, walking back towards them with her phone in her hand.
"Just called home to say goodnight." Amy said as she sat back down.
"Aww that's nice." Ana said.
"I got another drink?" Amy asked seeing two glasses in front of her.
"Yes, the bar closed so Chris got another round in before the guy left." Dani explained.
"Oh, I better start drinking." Amy joked.
"Yes!" Ana agreed.
The table was once again split, the four girls at one end of it with the four guys at the other end, in the middle Nicole sat next to her husband, Vincent, who now turned to her and put his arms around her and kissed her cheek.

Both Dani and Amy laughed, looking at each other.
"Well OK then," Vincent said and then quickly pecked Nicole on the lips as she looked at him.

"OK, so what next?" Chris asked suddenly.
"Well this place has closed." Ana replied.
"Yes, so if we want to carry on, we could go down to the beach, or just go to our room and order some drinks from room service?" He said.
"Yes!" Ana said, clapping.
