Chapter 4

"If only others could see you as I do."

He paced slowly as he spoke, eyes feasting on white flesh against the crimson sheets under her. The bed, a heavy four-poster with a canopy frame, was positioned at the very center of the room. At first sight it was an imposing structure, a fusion of dark carved woods and burnished metal in an old-world Mediterranean style. As he circled it, he studied her from every angle. Her thin wrists were stretched above her head, bound by two feet of cord secured to a grille of metal bars at the headboard. A tangle of brown hair framed her face, one eye hidden behind sweat-soaked strands that clung to her forehead and cheek. Her open lips waited, red and full, poised, ready at the next instant to beg him to finish her.

'Such wanton elegance,' he mused. 'Delicate shoulders carved from the purest alabaster...white breasts firm enough to mimic stone, yet soft enough to allow cherry-red nipples to quiver with each breath...the flat belly, showing a hint of muscle beneath it, as though carved by a master sculptor to compliment the sleek lines of her long waist...legs, white as glistening ivory, chiseled and slim, a thin layer of satin drawn tightly over stone cut and polished by hands of passion and grace.'

He could almost understand how a husband might prefer sharing such a treasure to losing her.

Small lamps mounted on the inside of each corner of the canopy bathed her body in blue-white light. The rest of the room was dark, and the bright light blinded her to his progress and exact position. Only during the few moments when he passed the foot of the bed could she be sure he remained in the room with her, his crisp, white shirt and golden cock emerging from the shadows just long enough to rewet her appetite for him.

Minutes later, he appeared beside her at the edge of the bed. He was naked, and the sudden sight of him sent a shudder of expectation through her. He held a small silver vial, just slightly taller than a thimble. Within it rested a thin needle topped with a single black pearl that seemed to hover above the lip of the container in the brilliant light. As he withdrew it, a drop of clear liquid fell from the sharp tip back into the waiting pool at the bottom of the miniature reservoir.

She shifted away from him as he brought the needle closer.

"Are you afraid?"

Her eyes told him before she could speak. "Yes," she whispered.

"I could untie you, set you free. Your husband is waiting."

She shook her head without hesitation, as if to chase away any chance of retreat. "No!" - another whisper, but one more forceful.

The tip of the needle arrived at her breast, stopping at the edge of the bright pink areola. With a quick stabbing motion, he tapped the point repeatedly over the sensitive skin. She gasped, then began to moan quietly as the needle danced over the engorged button of flesh. The pressure was never enough to draw blood, but sufficient to deliver minute quantities of the drug just below the surface of the tender nipple. He returned the needle to the shining vial, wetting the tip again and again, until both nipples lay wet and glistening in the harsh light.

He stopped, watching the circles surrounding her nipples darken to an angry red. She gasped as the tickle of the needle turned to burning twinges, finally subsiding to a constant, mild irritation that made her squirm and pull against her bonds.

And then he was gone. The darkness surrounding the bed simply swallowed him. She called out to him, begging him to return, to extinguish the fire that had started at her breasts and now crawled methodically through her, seizing her cunt with raging urgency. Her cries echoed through the room, unanswered. She cried out louder, slim legs now shifting to one side, then the other in a futile attempt at relief or freedom. The cord around her wrists tightened and held. Helpless and alone under the intense light, she felt as though she might suffocate in its heat, a heat that suddenly seemed to melt her womb, sending it flowing between her legs like a river of molten lead.

Suddenly, he was there, kneeling on the bed, naked, between her restless thighs. He watched her with piercing eyes, his golden chest shining, his erection thicker and harder than she had ever remembered it. Multicolored spikes of light surrounded him, flickering and wavering as they stretched from his bronzed skin into the shadows of the darkened room. His voice seemed distant and out of sync with the words that formed on his lips.

"My, my. Where has she gone? Mommy and Daddy's good little girl - a husband's faithful and loving wife - the proud day-virgin and reluctant concubine. What would they say if they could see your hungry little cunt yawning for my cock? What words could you possibly use to make them understand?"

"Please, Simon...I'm begging you..."

"Your answer is the price for my company tonight - and ultimately, the price for coaxing my cock inside you."

"Simon...I don't care...none of it matters...none of it..."

Her slim hips rose off the bed as she spoke, pumping uncontrollably in a futile attempt to somehow capture the swollen purple head that jutted and bobbed, still impossibly far away.

"Ahh, finally, the truth. None of it matters - it's empty baggage, a burden you needn't bear. Here, to be free of it is a simple choice - your choice - no one else's."

He moved closer, finally edging the head of his cock just inside her. He waited until her cunt tightened around it, then went deeper, filling her slowly with inch after inch of rigid flesh. Each time with him was as if she was taken by a new lover, the unyielding girth of his sex stretching her, then the solid presence filling her belly, possessing her more completely than any man ever had, or quite possibly ever would. It took an entire minute for him to bury himself in her. She wound her legs around his waist, her torso drawn tight between bound wrists and the small of his arched back. He sank the last inch into her and stopped, pinning her to the bed. Her eyes fluttered and closed. Her lips formed a small, satisfied smile. She had taken all of him - from the hard, blunt tip nestled snugly against her cervix, to the thick, flaring root that ground against her as his hips pressed into her in small, firm circles under his body's weight.

She whimpered when he pulled out suddenly, surprised by the emptiness in her belly. She opened her eyes again, squinting in the bright light. He knelt between her legs, his lean stomach and broad chest gleaming with sweat. The aura that surrounded him burned with shifting color, now pulsing violently with vibrant reds and glowing violets. His penis seemed immense as it jutted in the air over her, growing longer and thicker as though reflected in a funhouse mirror. The room was spinning. She closed her eyes. The bed seemed to fall away, leaving her floating above it, weightless and calm.

He was turning her, rolling her onto her belly. His hands were cool, his grasp firm against her naked thighs. She drew her knees under her, offering her ass to him. What she needed came quickly - his strong hands spreading her, then the hot, blunt presence against the entrance, pressing forward slowly, boring into her, deep enough to awaken flesh untouched by any other. The sensation of the cord about her wrists, the cool sheet against her face, the sting of the fullness invading her, all melted into the single essence of what she had become. No longer wife, nor woman, nor even flesh - only need and desire, desperate to be possessed, to be taken by hands that would reduce her to nothing, a zero, dissolving her demons in a sudden rush of Simon's scalding sperm as it bathed her bowels.

The skillful caress of his fingers between her legs sent her into a welcome abyss, falling and floating at the same time through explosions of warmth and color, her own cries echoing in the distance as though they were the urgent calls of some primitive wild animal. Then the darkness arrived, a luscious cradle that closed in around her, sucking away her flesh with a delicious, persistent embrace that slowly consumed her until only the lush fullness deep in her belly remained. Finally it too faded, the encroaching blackness stealing even the nothingness she had become, until it swallowed everything that remained.

 *

The car had become a prison for him. An hour passed, then two, and finally a third. He should do something - go in after her, confront the man that took her inside, insist she return with him to their own home, to their own bed. Why had he allowed this in the first place? What kind of man gives his wife to a stranger, and then waits for him to finish with her? Her face haunted him, so youthful when they met, and even now, years later, it still cheated the passage of time. She remained an innocent Lolita with the body of a mature, ripe woman. He knew men desired her. He saw them look, listened to their suggestive banter at parties, cloaked in the feeblest attempts at platonic intent. But she had never given them the slightest satisfaction of a knowing reply. She would simply take his hand, or pull his arm closer around her slim waist, as if to let him know she was his and his alone.

The temptation to go to her was overwhelming, so much so that twice he left the car. The first time he was able to do little more than circle the car, then stand by the open door, his eyes searching the tall windows for any trace of movement. The second time he could go no farther than halfway to the marble steps before retreating, all the while remembering her soft pleading just before she went inside. Now he sat staring at his hands on the wheel, weary from questions he couldn't answer, needing her next to him more than he ever had.

Then she was running toward him, her body glowing in the light that still bathed the house. The simple white nightshirt rose over her thighs as she ran. Bare legs and feet flashed, gracefully carrying her forward, like an angel gliding through the night. She snuggled next to him in the car, an arm around his neck, a hand placed peacefully on his chest. She nuzzled his neck, her damp hair cool and fragrant against his skin.

"Mmmmm - take me home?"

She was asleep within minutes. He carried her from the car to their bed. She moved close to him, pressing her body against his, a contented smile now fixed to her innocent face. After letting some time pass, he placed a hand on her breast, moving a finger over her hardening nipple. She sighed, uttered something soft and unintelligible in her sleep, then turned from him and sighed again one last time. He lay beside her as the hours passed, never sleeping, her gentle breathing filling him with both fear and desire until dawn.

Jokes and Giggles Part TwoChapter 411

If you are up for puns: Read a few from cbarge: An invisible man married an invisible woman. The kids were nothing to look at either. I didn’t think the chiropractor would improve my posture. But I stand corrected. I took my new girlfriend out on our first date to the ice rink, and entry was half price. She called me a cheap skate. Studies show cows produce more milk when the farmer talks to them. It’s a case of in one ear and out the udder. I used to date a girl with one leg who worked...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 20 Winter or Summer

October 12, 1996, Rutherford, Ohio Rutherford, Ohio was a relatively small town; but then again compared to Chicago, Cincinnati was a relatively small town. Rutherford was bigger than Milford, but not by a lot. It had the regional trauma center, the BMV, and the Harding County courthouse and other government buildings, as well as the Sheriff’s Department. I could imagine Milford being like Rutherford if all those facilities had been in Milford, instead of Batavia, which was the Clermont...

The kids were hunched over the kitchen table moving black and white stones around a board. Gertie, sipping her Tanqueray, was watching with interest. I said, “What’s this?” Walker, shoehorning pity into a single word — a feat that only a teenager who had a slow mother could master — said, “Go.” I swatted the back of his head, “I know that, dumbbell, why are you playing Go?” Pilar, not looking up, said, “Gertie said that when AlphaGo beat Ke Jie, it was China’s Sputnik moment.” Walker,...

Richard Hyder was apoplectic, “Your Honor! This is outrageous! Trial by ambush! I’ve never seen anything so ... underhanded, so deceitful, in my forty-one years before the bar.” “Is there an objection in there?” Judge Graves seemed more amused than annoyed. “Yes! Yes there is. The Defense hasn’t even begun to present its case and this ... this ... private eye miraculously points the way ... I object! Hide Seek Winter JenningsChapter 11 A Bouquet of Pheasants

On a hunch, Clint asked his Vanguard counterpart in Boise to go through the old surveillance videos before the raid on the Gunther compound in northern Idaho. A raid clandestinely approved and funded by Senator Harper Wainwright. And orchestrated by his chief of staff, Constance Grayson. And field-directed by Matt Striker. Boise called back the next day. Winner-winner, chicken dinner! Martin Folsom again. That tied him to two American Nazi compounds. And also made me start reconsidering...

I woke up in Palo Alto feeling ... refreshed. More like my old self. First time since ... well, it had been a while. Feeling morning-naughty, I sat under the shower spray and treated myself to a quickie. Dressed for success, I was checking myself out in front of the hotel mirror. Picked up my cell, “Hello.” “What are you doing in California?” I smiled, sat back in the club chair, Clint Callahan. “And this is your business ... why?” “I made it my business.” “Oooh, tough guy. I’m still...

The police responded in under three minutes; two ambulances right behind them. One of them said, “Gun!” and I felt, but couldn’t see, one cop grab my shoulder bag where he removed the .38. The other one cuffed me, hands behind my back. Morales and I were rushed to University hospital. I ended up on the second floor of the Critical Care Tower. 2019 That was then; this was now, four years later. A lot had changed in my life since I told Carol Sue Parker goodbye at O’Hare. Of course, a lot would change in any four-year period; it’s just that I ended up measuring that particular span in terms of a young woman I had thought I’d never see again. Life goes on. Walker was now 15; I was 33. I was married, deliciously so, to Vanessa Henderson. Walker had a live-in girlfriend, his second, named Pilar Paloma. I was still doing a daily...

Hard WinterChapter 3 Autumn A Trip into York

We both awoke around six-thirty and we still smelt of sex, I think it turned us both on because she was soon all fours wiggling her arse and demanding, "Fuck me, come on, I'm horny!" We had a fast, furious five minutes of hard sex and we both came again. We then sat up to get our breath and Kelly said quite matter-of-factly, "What else turns you on? Would you fuck my arse, do a threesome with me and another girl? Would you tie me up and fuck me, spank me, piss on me, or me piss on you,...

TV Game Show Winter JenningsChapter 2 Riles

For some reason, crime in America follows railroad tracks. And Kansas City has plenty of both. My first, and I hope last, shootout took place near my office in the Stockyards. Besides gunplay, it involved ramming my bright red F-150 into a larger Dodge Ram. The Ford Motorcar Company told me, and I verified it through an independent mechanic, that the frame had been wrenched out of shape. It could be straightened, but wouldn’t drive the same, not really. I sat down with Vanessa and Gertie...

The new year had passed long ago on Earth, but our start of the new year was just another day on Arbor. The Arborian New Year started on the first day of spring, the vernal equinox. I chose that propitious day to deal with the alaspore and its master. I wove a new trick out of something Cor showed me how to do using the wind. I woke late and lingered over my campfire and my breakfast. It would take only a half day's riding to get to where I was going, and anytime today would be a fine time with me. The skies had cleared again and it was nice to wait for the chill of the night to abate before setting out. Deak seemed to appreciate it, along with the relaxed pace. He tossed his head now and then and nickered at me softly when he did. Perhaps, like me, he was chasing Vulkai cobwebs out of his mind. Remembering my...

Eons ago, Walker and I were having a Saturday lunch at the Unicorn Club. Back then it was tottering its way toward the rocky shoals of Chapter 11. Before Bear and Vanessa took over and saved us from BK ignominy. Walker and I had ordered hot dogs — butterflied and grilled. We were seated at a table in the bar section. It was the first week of October 2013, I was working in the garden of my cottage on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds near the coast. I hate gardening, always have done, but after last winter when potatoes reached £120 a pound on the black market, I decided that turning the garden, and a bit of the field behind the garden, with the agreement of the farmer who owned it, into a large vegetable patch was prudent. I was lifting the last of my potato crop and storing them for use during the winter....

Winters in the Methow Valley were cold, sometimes bitterly so. Temperatures ranged well below zero. The snow would pile up two and three feet deep. While Ace Collins arranged for me to keep my temporary badge, I no longer have a dedicated workspace there. Technically, I’m still available for consultancy duty, but the new SAC, Sandra Fleming, is somehow managing without me. Daddy handed me a follow-up post-mortem report from the police coroner. The young woman whose nude body had been found near the Missouri River had been...

TV Game Show Winter JenningsChapter 5 Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna

Vanessa and I had our doubts, but if anyone could pull off a BaBoomz publicity stunt like this, it was Gertie Oppenheimer. We tamped down our misgivings and the game was on. Afoot, that’s what the game was. The caper wasn’t complicated, but the timing had to be ... well, we needed a bit of luck. Gertie is like Bulldog in that she knows people in all walks of life. Phillip Montgomery at the high end of the social strata. Harold Hudson, the pimp she’s been grooming. And a cop, Lieutenant Ross...

American Nazis Winter JenningsChapter 2 New Business

In order to come up with the down to buy BaBoomz, (hey, up with the down!) Vanessa and I have to divest ourselves of our shares in four American solar panel distributors. In sub-Saharan Africa. But it had become time to sell anyway. Gertie explained the evolving situation to us over drinks at BEAR’s on Broadway, “The fucking Chinese are everywhere. They finally started manufacturing their panels in Africa. So it was just a natural extension for them to move into distribution.” Louie-Louie...

American Nazis Winter JenningsChapter 10 Bait

Daddy brought Ash Collins to our loft. First visit. Vanessa had picked up the kids; my family was home. Ash gave Hobo the back of his fist to investigate. He’d read the file. Hero Dog. Hobo’s reconnaissance consisted of a thorough sniff-around followed by a single, approving lick. It was now 9 in the morning, still Tuesday, still sunny. I hadn’t peed myself. Ash nodded at Walker and Pilar, “Lose them.” My voice sounded off, “Of course.” Walker opened his mouth, then closed it. Ash looked...

Dark Voyage Winter JenningsChapter 10

Damien Hirsch had a good little racket going for himself. Not that little either. Contractually, he was to be paid 15% for every tour, expert, auction, he booked. Thanks to my superior investigative skills, well, the Sullivans’ tip-toeing through the digital backwaters, we learned he was enjoying close to a 40% baksheesh. His guides, lecturers, auctioneers, received one set of invoices and receipts, The Globe another. The right hand didn’t know what the left foot was doing. Hirsch, fairly...

Dark Voyage Winter JenningsChapter 11

Vanessa took one sip of the claret that bore The Globe’s label. She sniffed first, then swished and swallowed. “It’s not plonk, Winter. Decent. About like you’d expect in a mail order wine club.” “Price?” “Around $15 or $20. Certainly under $30.” “Is it a Bordeaux?” “No, it’s definitely California. Over-oaked. Maybe Central Valley. That’s just a guess, I can’t really narrow the location that much.” All house wines were to be a minimum of a $200 value. It says so right on the menus. And...

The God Pill Winter JenningsChapter 11

Being a trained professional, I decided to create a catalogue raisonné, an encyclopedia of what I knew, in the Atwater affair. Or believed I knew. I wrote down the names of a few people. Then, Nelson-Eamons. Then, St. Jeremy. Looked at all the blank pages. Closed the catalogue. Next project. Felicity said, “We have a tail. White Caddy. Escalade.” I forced myself not to turn around. “Can you get a license?” It’s a challenge to read backwards. Felicity went slowly, taking her time with...

Unbridled Evil Winter JenningsChapter 6

There was nothing remarkable about Phillip’s sex tape. Cassandra Sanders was 34, in good shape, fairly attractive. Brunette with an average build. Phillip, at 52, was in really good shape. A little above average, and certainly more than adequate, equipment. They did it missionary style, took a shower, sipped a cocktail from the minibar in hotel robes. They she went down on him and they fucked doggy style until she got on top, reverse cowgirl, I believe it’s called. Okay, I know it’s...

Surviving 2Chapter 19 Autumn 876 AD winterspring 877AD

Scott's girls admitted they had found the experience of the battle in Fife traumatic, particularly watching the Saxons being bombarded by the trebuchets when they had nowhere to run. They had also badly missed little David who had been left behind with Hella. Scott thought to re-assure them by telling them they wouldn't have to go again, only to find himself under attack, the girls adamant that they would set an example to the other Dalriada women. It seemed to be a case of 'it's a tough...

First Do No Harm Winter JenningsChapter 4 Honus Wagner

I found myself drifting off course in the Macklin affair. I kept reminding myself that I wasn’t taking on a cause, a crusade. A big-picture understanding can be helpful. But my work, my career, is ... individuals, not industries. I’d gotten caught up in the American Nazi movement, but my main focus was on Dixie Wexler all along. So ... Big Pharma. Fine. Individual companies like Macklin. Fine. But somewhere out there was a Dixie Wexler. I just didn’t yet know who he was. Or she. What is...

First Do No Harm Winter JenningsChapter 13 Thumb Drive

On the United flight to LA — mileage! — I recapped my last few days. I’d crept Dr. Samantha Rowley twice. Jersey again, then Chelsea on Sunday night. I’d couriered the photos to Carmen Ortega. They’d found something — I’d learn what later this morning. Monday — Jakub Nowak. Nic. Nada. Tuesday — Mr. Drake Fowler I was hand-carrying the ... um, research. Would turn it over to the Gloria Allen team. None of whom would inquire about the provenance of the material. I wouldn’t mention that the...

American Tapestry Winter JenningsChapter 11

I sent my Irregulars out to search for the two one-digit cars. A black Jeep and a probably-beige Honda SUV. Birdy Cummings, grandmother. Joey Viagra, steroid juicer. Bobby ‘Just Kidding’ Armstrong, mooch. Sara Cunningham, now at City Hall. Cathy Austin, home on a break from Michigan. Squeaky Collins, in her mother’s gigantic Buick. ‘Jittery Gerard’ Malden, I hope his nervous tics don’t affect his driving. Mingo Bernard Cochran, he’d be casing joints while looking for the cars. Corky...

Hard WinterChapter 16 Summer Bikers and Farmers

As soon as I got back to Oak Tree House at lunch time on the day after our argument with Kat all three wives draped themselves over me and Kelly came out with the standard comment that I suspect women have been using since Adam and Eve, "You know you love us all..." I suspected I knew what was coming and Kelly confirmed it, "I know we all enjoy a bit of fun together, even Karen joins in now, but sometime I wish there was just two of us in a bed. We could still have fun all together, it's...

Hard WinterChapter 17 Summer A Face From the Past

It was the last day of our track building marathon, everyone had packed up and I had decided that on the final evening we would bring everyone down to Newsham for a fish and chip supper. We loaded all the workers, their bikes and tents onto our train and took them back. Everyone had worked hard, even the captives, and I asked Sid if we could give them a fish supper as well. "Fine by me," he said, "they're showing signs of being trustworthy. Chain them in pairs." I asked about Vin, the...

Play Ball Winter JenningsChapter 2 Breton

Walker, pimp-rolling, “You feel me, dawg?” Vanessa, glorious smile, soft fist-tap, “Dawg.” Clint called me, right before I left for work. The kids were on the Max, heading for their schools. Clint’s calls weren’t frequent, weren’t annoying. Steady, that was the word. Having earned a Ph.D. — with Honors — in Men, I suspected gonadal twinges. “When are you coming to New York?” “Short-term memory loss? I have a wife. A family. Career.” “When are you coming to New York?” “Hit the...

Walker said, “So what will happen this morning? During the preliminary hearing.” “Hyder could ask for a continuance. But I doubt that he will.” “Why not?” “Because the case is going to be bound over for trial anyway. And Hyder will get a look, a sense, of the People’s trial strategy. He probably won’t even cross-examine the prosecution witnesses.” “Why not?” “You’re full of questions. And that’s not all you’re full of.” “Winter.” “Think cui bono.” He frowned, recalling an earlier...

Play Ball Winter JenningsChapter 14 Tongue

The pale November sun was brightening Caitlin Seaver’s kitchen. Or maybe I was imagining that as her tears dried up. As she gathered herself, resigned that the worst had happened — her secret was out. Hers and Sandy’s. Speaking in a monotone as if she were in a courtroom being judged, she said, “Arlington played for the Dodgers, but that was before my time. He was from Santa Ana and came back to visit. Family, I think, and friends. I’d seen him around Orange County, he liked bars.” I...

Deadly Pursuit Winter JenningsChapter 2 Best Laid

I said to Matt, “Okay, what don’t you like?” About my carefully crafted Wexler plan. He didn’t smile, didn’t attempt to soften the gut-punch. “Everything. I dislike everything.” I stifled myself. Bit back a two-word obscenity. This was why I was here; to tap into his combat experience. Field experience. Matt said, “Lose ... what’s her name?” “Rachael Adams.” He nodded. “Forget Enterprise, forget Best Western. You’re going off the grid.” I frowned. “Another thing. You’re too reliant on...

American Nazis Winter JenningsChapter 9 Wakeup Call

Pilar waited until Hobo was two to start breeding him. She told Vanessa and me, “He’s in demand; we may as well cash in while we can.” And part of this surprised me. I was neutral on Hobo becoming a father. I assume dogs like pussy just like most boys do. What I hadn’t realized was how valuable some of the puppies might be. Even though we don’t know who Hobo’s ancestors are, there’s already so much talk in the sheepdog world. He’s winning more ribbons at a higher level. Hobo and Pilar are....

St. Luke’s Hospital. I gathered myself. Too many people, helpless to do anything but wait. I went to Autumn, “Take Walker and Pilar home, I’ll call you the second there’s any news.” My sister, for once in her life, didn’t argue. I told Bear, “Thanks for coming, but it’ll be hours.” Mayor Tom Lynch said, “I’m so sorry, Winter. Senseless. Tell me what I can do.” I smiled wanly, “Go. You have a city to run. Daddy will make it or not.” Bulldog, put a hand on my shoulder, just as he had when...

Hide Seek Winter JenningsChapter 2 A Murmuration of Starlings

Twelve days after my Columbia visit, I had finished what I hoped was the last of the one-way conversations with my former employer. Major Peter Maxwell was still upset with me, but he couldn’t convince my recently-acquired attorney to allow me to talk with him. The Max was angry that HAVEN had been compromised. And that they still didn’t know who or how. Angry that Sabbath refused, absolutely refused, to talk with anyone in the department. He may have been upset, but she herself was...

Hide Seek Winter JenningsChapter 6 A Brood of Hens

Lindsey Conners had agreed to see Sabbath at our loft. Even though the likelihood of Blowtorch being aware of Sabbath’s presence was probably nil, Lindsey said, “I’ll come to you. No sense in adding any extra exposure. And she’ll probably be more comfortable in a familiar setting.” I made the intros the day after Sabbath testified. Lindsey was in her middle 40s, still a little overweight. But what everyone noticed was the fierce intelligence in her dark eyes. Education, experience, native...
