This is the second part of my story, ‘Lessons Of Kota’.
Next day I took a stroll in my neighborhood and again started to think about yesterday’s events. Then I deliberately hit my head with my hand to stop thinking and then again I took a puff of the cigarette. This went on for some time and everything was back to normal. I was concentrating on my studies and my grades started to improve.
Then again after a week or two, in September while taking an evening stroll, there she was. Coming with the same girl she was at the first meeting, eating chocolate and chatting with that girl. When I saw her I immediately changed my route and went to the shop just to my left so as to avoid her. I was standing there in the shop, with my heart pounding.
The shopkeeper was asking me what you want, and I had to buy a cold drink just to blend into the environment. It took her almost 30 seconds to pass me, but these 30 seconds were the longest 30 seconds of my life. I was literally sweating and thank god she passed without noticing me. I was relaxed, like a weight of 100kg was taken away from my head.
I was doing all this because I knew that she made me waste some months of my life in the 11th thinking about her. I knew she can do it twice. I didn’t have that much time to waste as I wanted to concentrate on my studies. I successfully avoided her this time but that didn’t happen in the mall in Kota.
It was a Sunday and I decided to relax and to chill at the mall with my friends. I was meeting my friends at the mall which was located near the Vibrant coaching institute. I dressed up nicely and combed my hair and put on some deodorant to feel good.
I was happy to spend some time with my friends. But to my bad luck, just at the entrance of the mall, there she stood with that girl. I just stood there thinking what I should do. I can’t run because that’ll make me easily noticeable. Should I turn back and go to my room?
That’s when she saw me and came running to me shouting, “Hey! Sagar Hey! Sagar.” I knew when I heard her voice that I was doomed, and I am going to be in some real shit. And that too happened, leaving my friends I had to spend my beautiful evening with a beautiful girl with not so beautiful intentions.
And if this was not enough I had to pay the bill of Rs 800. You know how expensive malls are. Both took away my 3 and a half hours. I got to know that the girl with her, is her roommate Maya. There she again said, “You are looking cute and handsome.”
I got irritated after hearing cute and straight away said, “I AM NOT CUTE, and don’t ever call me that again.” She took it as a way to tease me after that. And so, the evening concluded costing me 3 and half hour and Rs 800. After this, we headed our way back home.
And after reaching home the first thing that happened was a notification of Facebook stating Sherry has sent you a message. I was like NOW WHAT? I didn’t expect that she’d write that in the message “Thanks For Making My Evening Memorable.” I didn’t know where all this was heading but I didn’t like it.
After a few days of talking on Facebook, finally, she asked to meet in the market again. I refused straight away but she said that she needed my help with something. And me being a fool, in the name of helping her, reached the market at the given time and at the given spot. When she came I was awestruck because she was wearing a red top in and blue jeans which were looking really good. Her curves were clearly visible, and every guy was checking her out.
I refreshed my posture and asked what is this that you need my help with. She said in a very polite voice, “I needed someone to eat with me, I can’t eat alone.” And I was again like “WHAT THE FUCK!” I somehow managed not to shout at her.
She could have eaten with Maya but to my surprise, she said that Maya went home yesterday, So I had no option but to play along. After this, I strictly said that I need to study and don’t call me for all these silly things. “Who am I to you that you are calling me to eat with you?” Hearing this she was kind of upset and went away without saying anything.
After some time, I also realized my mistake and wanted to apologize to her in person. But she didn’t talk to me for days and one day I sent her about 100 messages of sorry. I asked for her number so that I can apologize to her properly. This was one of the biggest mistakes of my life!
Anyway, she gave me her number and I called her. I apologized to her for like 2 hours. Finally, she forgave me on the condition meeting her on the coming Sunday and give her another treat like I gave her the last time in the mall.
I was thinking that it’s going to cost me a lot. But she said that she is coming along and you study now and I’ll call you on Sunday to decide the time. Then she hung up and the day concluded.
On Sunday it was my weekly test till 12:00 pm. After finishing that, I went to my room, peacefully ate my lunch. I was just about to sleep but then to my utter bad luck the phone rang and yes, it was her call.
She: How was the test?
Me: Fine enough.
She: So, what’s up!
Me: Nothing, just been disturbed from my sleep.
She: Oh! Sorry, I didn’t mean to.
Me: Why don’t you cut the crappy talk and come straight to the point.
She: Okay! Okay! You don’t have to be so rude. Well, the point is that come to the mall at 5.
Me: Ok, I’ll be there on time.
Then she hung up and after some time I reached the mall, we met there, had some fun, looked like a couple and to my surprise she paid all the bills this time. I was kind of relieved that I wouldn’t have to borrow money from my friends.
In the end, nothing much happened but I knew where all this was going, and I also knew that I am doomed. Meeting like this happened every Saturday or Sunday and I was also enjoying her company. But then it happened and ruined everything, especially her life.
