I live in the north of England ,the following story is for all of those people who have visited the lake district especially around pooley bridge & ullswater .I won’t name the place in question…….If you’re interested….you’ll just have to come & find it….anyway….the story…
After a long ride from the place I live (yes ,I ride a motorcycle ) ,through the picturesque village of Alston and along the fantastic ,windy A6 ,I decided to stop the night at a pub overlooking Ullswater.
Pulling over next to the lake ,the beat of the bike stopping as I killed the engine ,leaning the bike over onto it’s side stand ,the tip of the sun just starting to disappear over the horizon .The heat of the day now disappearing and a very nice warm evening just beginning .Taking my helmet and jacket off ,hanging them on the bike ,hoping I can get a room for the evening .Walking into the lake entrance of the bar ,I gave way to a woman walking out ,not really paying much attention to her as I was more focused on getting a room .After talking to the barman ,and then the owner (a very nice lady ) ,I managed to get a room for the night .
Walking out of the pub ,back to the bike to get my gear ,I was a little taken aback by the light ,or should I say ,the lack of it .When I walked into the pub ,it was daytime ,when I walked back out ,it seemed to be dark .The sun now gone ,the temperature seemed a little cooler .
Thinking my jacket had fallen off the handlebar ,and then realizing ,as I got closer ,that it was missing ,”shit….someone’s nicked my jacket” I thought ,helmet still there ,looking around and seeing someone sitting on a small wooden jetty with what looked like my jacket .Walking towards the jetty ,realizing as I get closer that it was the woman I passed in the doorway of the pub .A few hikers wondering through the car park ,I dodged past them ,making my way towards the lake .The water still ,just the noise of ramblers behind me and the quietness of the lake in front .Stepping onto the jetty ,the ladies head turned ,her feet dangling in the water ,I slipped ,regaining my stance to find her facial expression had changed from a neutral sort of look ,to one with a little smirk ,a little like the that famous painting .
A nice looking woman ,with shoulder length light mousey hair ,blue eyes ,,,,,nice blue eyes ,wearing MY JACKET .Apologizing ,she explained that she was cold and thought I wouldn’t mind as she was just borrowing it .We chatted for a while ,the only sound from the water off the lake ,the creaking of the jetty and the odd group of people leaving the car park behind us .She explained that she was supposed to be meeting a friend that she went to school with ,twenty years previously ,and that they had kept in touch over the years ,only to find out that her friend couldn’t make it due to some problem with her mum ,so since she couldn’t cancel and get a refund ,she decided to go by herself .
It was getting quite cold ,and not really wanting to ask for my jacket back ,I asked her if she fancied something to eat ,accepting my offer ,she stood up ,nearly falling off the jetty .Collecting my gear off the bike on the way in ,I explained that I needed a shower and would meet her in about an hour in the bar ,finally remembering to ask her name .Picked up my keys for the room and carried my gear up the stairs to the room above the bar which overlooked the lake .What a view ,,,,,the moon lighting the lake and the distant house lights shimmering in the distance .
A quick shower later and I was just buttoning my shirt up and there was a light knock on the door .Thinking it was one of the bar staff I pulled the door open to find Lorna at the door ,holding a dress in each hand asking which one .After making an off the cuff remark of “whichever one goes with stockings” ,and then apologizing for it ,I asked her which one she felt better in ,rather than which one looked better ,she turned around and I caught a glimpse of her from the back ,mmmm ,I think I actually made the noise out loud ,as she turned around with that look ,,,,you know the one .Brushed my teeth ,hair ,and left the room for the bar .
After ordering my drink I turned around to find that the view out of the window was the same as from my room ,walking up two stairs to a table to overlook the lake .The view just amazing ,the log fire crackling and spitting .Only four other people in the bar ,a man and woman serving at the bar and a man and woman who looked like locals .I turned to find the woman placing condiments and place mats on the table ,asking me if I had seen the menu .Lorna seemed to be an age ,or maybe I was so engrossed with the view .Sitting down next to me ,rather than opposite ,her smell ,,,,,,,her smell ,,,,what a gorgeous fragrance ,I can remember wanting to take a deeper breaths ,her dress light and fine ,close fitting around her stomach ,her cleavage just showing .A few drinks later ,and some very nice food ,we were both quite relaxed and seemed to be reminiscing about our pasts .It wasn’t on purpose ,I just found my hand at the very top of her leg ,at the side ,where the seam would be on a pair of jeans ,I could feel the thinness of her dress and her briefs underneath ,slowly running my fingers along her knicker line .
