We head back to the office where there are a few people still working including Katy and David. I tell them what happened and everyone, especially Katy, shows attention to the hero of the hour. Daniel likes the praise he's getting and we all have coffee and talk.
We get home at 20:30 and see Holly and Ashley talking and laughing on the couch. Jake is playing on his xbox and Jodi's in the kitchen. She looks at us unsure but smiles when I nod. I walk up to her and hug her as she welcomes us home. I can tell she's unsure about hugging Daniel but he pulls her in for one and she looks to me shocked. I just smile and leave the kitchen. I look to the kitchen a few times seeing them talking. Jodi's smiling ear to ear as she nods to whatever he's saying.
I sit and talk with the kids, Jake's too busy with his game to listen to anything I'm saying or even form a coherent sentence. Ashley has had no luck with her dating but Holly's been giving her some good advice and even offered to go into town for lunch tomorrow. I like that there's another girl Ashley's age in the house. I think She could use a sister figure. I look to the kitchen and hear Daniel asking Jodi to go for lunch tomorrow. Jodi's eyes light up and she accepts without hesitation. She asks Daniel what food he likes and goes into a long list of restaurants that they could go to. Tomorrow is gonna be a good day. -->
