Flight 428 startled prosaic enough. The usual average group of passengers
were finally struggling their way on board. The only exciting thing was the
presence of Clint Eastwood and Sandra Bullock in First Class - . The
passengers' gawked for a moment then filed on pass to fight for overhead
space for the luggage they should have checked. An obvious honeymoon
couple were laughing and holding hands. He was very large and she was
endearingly small. There were the usual numbers of boring business

Betty was excited though - she finally got her first job as a stewardess - her
lovely young dark eyes sparkled. she was as cute as a button and was
completely unaware of it. There plane taxied and finally roared into the sky

Sandra Bullock was a little queasy she was afraid to fly, but had to keep it
from Clint! Her picture with him was in the can! She crossed her fingers -
soon she might be right back up there at the top! Why oh, why had she made
those turkeys?
Hairy John Calhoun was riding on his horse tracking down some strays. He
was a tough rangy young man in his twenties with muscles and fists like
iron.
Jake Eagle was in the miserable little Navaho hut of his Shaman Uncle dying
of hepatitis - drifting in and out of delirium. He knew he had only hours to
live. He had never got a break in his life and he doubted if he would get one
in death. Life sucks!
Pilot Joe Nixon sighed. When he became a pilot he thought it would be a
glamorous occupation but he was only a god damn truck drive - hauling
mewing sheep from one dull city to another. he glanced at the captain - at
least he had some excitement - flying combat - and then a test pilot and the
real planes of the fifties - the guy was ready to retire. Said he would live as
far away from airports as he could. Joe snorted.
Lim Lee was a lovely petite girl on her way to her family in LA for her
arranged wedding. What an honor for her to be commanded to marry such an
important man! she tried to tell herslef - even though he was fifty years older
than she.
THE GREAT SHIFT HIT THE WORLD.
Everyone felt like cattle to the slaughter, like a great sludge hammer hit them
between the eyes! The world shifted. Fortunately the plane was on automatic
pilot and remained steady because the two people at the pilot chairs were not
the pilots - they were respectively a grandmother and a salesman for P and G.
They screamed - everyone screamed when they realized they were not
themselves.
Clint Eastwood looked down in amazement at his own tall frame screaming
and then stared at his new nails - manicured and he was in a stewardess
uniform he looked in the mirror in the bathroom - he was the young
stewardess - Betty.
Jesus H. Christ! " he muttered in her musical voice.
Lim Lee struggled from her window seat. "Please! I must get past " she said
in her soft voice untrained to giver orders." I am co-pilot Nixon. "
No one listened. It was later determined that the pilot had swapped with Mrs.
George Brown of Leadville.
The plain was in chaos. The newly weds were staring in shock at each other.
"Lucy?" said the lovely young woman.
"Paul?" said the young man.
They had swapped bodies in the middle of a kiss.
At the moment of the switch Sandra Bullock had been adjusting her make up
looking in her compact mirror. But suddenly the mind behind those eyes was
of Jake Eagle. He couldn't believe his good fortune - he had always been
obsessed with Sandra Bullock and had studied her life and career - at least
that part of his life he could spend away from he bottle. His body had just
craved it a doctor had once told him. He could hear screams all around him -
everyone was switching bodies with each other. Hope leaped within him.
At the Indian shack Sandra Bullock opened puzzled eyes and stared - what
had happened? Why did she feel so bad - like she was just slipping away. A
stranger's face hovered over her.
"I guess this is it, Jake."
Jack, who's Jake? She wondered. Sandra tried to speak, but didn't have any
strength. Why me?? she wondered the strange room grew very dark and she
felt death clutch at her.
"A kiss before dying " she murmured in a strange voice.
"Well, Jake's gone" the Indian Shaman muttered to himself. He had felt a
strange tugging at his soul - but fought it off - the gathered of the slain would
have to work harder than that to capture this old fox!" he thought.
Jake jumped - a cell phone was ringing. Tentatively he flipped it open. Don't
blow it, he commanded.
"Hello?"
A woman's voice came over the line.
"Who am I speaking, too? "
"Sandra Bullock!" Jake said boldly. He wasn't going to let a chance like this
slip away.
"Prove it - when and where were you born and what was your first movie
and the name of your first dog? "
Jake was able to answer these questions easily as he had poured over
Sandra's life.
"Sandy, baby it is you! Its me Benny, your agent. "
"Benny, you don't sound like yourself?"
"You don't know the half of it babe - one minute I am dictating to my
secretary and then I am my secretary taking diction. Can you believe it the
bitch has blackmailed me into marriage! Me - in heels and bras and periods
are not enough - now its kids too! Well enough of my problems - it seems
from the news that about 90% of the world has switched bodies! You're one
of the lucky ones! "
"I guess I am!" said a smug Jake as he thought, good-bye dying drunken
Indian - hello, beautiful, rich and famous movie star!
"How's Clint?"
The new Sandra looked around. Clint Eastwood next to her was crying like
a baby
"Clint! Where are you?" A pretty young stewardess, very petite said " Here"
in a chipper voice. She grinned at who she thought was Sandra. "Do you
have a part in your next picture for me as your kid sister?"
They got Betty in Clint's body to calm down and make the announcement,
feeling rightly that Eastwood's body would be authoritative. Then Betty
asked " Are there any of the pilot's on board?"
There was a hushed silence. Broken finally by Lim Lee's 4'4" body. "I am
Joe Nixon"
Meanwhile, the former Lim Lee got off the ground after falling off her horse.
she looked in the stream - I am a real cowboy! she thought with delight and
felt the manly beard & the iron muscles!. Much better than being meek Lim
Lee. She promptly went into town and beat up a few drunks. Nobody
doubted there after she was the rough Hairy John Calhoun - the toughest
cowboy in Colorado!
Unknown to all Hairy John became the school teacher and was too ashamed
to admit it.
They finally calmed down the people in the pilots chairs and got them out.
Everywhere people were trying to replace and find ground traffic controllers
and other essential personnel - an awful lot of planes were in the air.
As they speeded towards LA 'Sandra Bullock' was on live recounting to a
world the drama of their situation. 'Sandra' grinned to herself. "after this
none will question my identity!' she thought gleefully. The world forgot its
own problems momentarily in the drams of flight 424 - Clint Eastwood in
his new guise as 5'!" blond was a sensation.
Joe Nixon sweated blood - this body was not used to flying and had very
little strength or hand eye practice at flying. The air traffic in John Wayne
airport was a mess planes were coming from everywhere.
The two newly weds were whispering to each other. 'She' was a little
hesitant, but 'he' was insistent' this may be our last chance to make love!"
So they got some blankets down and covered themselves up and the new
woman struggled with unaccustomed clothes while the man urge 'her' to
hurry it up he was really horny.
Joe Nixon used a Lim's fragile voice to heave a sigh they were almost down.
they had MADE IT!
A horrified world watched as flight 424 crumbled as it hit and burst into
flame. 212 people died.
They were interviewing the only three survivors. The honey moon couple.
The new woman had been brow beat into saying she was 'herself' and the
world famous Actress Sandra Bullock. who smiled her famous smile at the
camera's and said 'God has spared me for a reason and I will dedicate my life
to the memory of Clint and the rest."
Though this was the most famous crash occurring during the great shift
because of the presence of Clint Eastwood and Sandra Bullock it was not
alone.
75% of the planes in the air that day crashed. The world still hasn't got over
the shock - the air industry - has basically disappeared with plane travel now
strictly for emergency.
Everyone now goes by special railroads with dead man switches or by
special ocean liners..
