After I shut it off and I could think again, I realized I didn't have to work today. And I'd gotten home at three in the morning. I've seen Susan, and Tuck isn't anything like her." I felt intensely relieved, but Mike looked annoyed. Too bad. Then, as I was sitting down, I felt a hand on my butt. I jumped up, and Lisa pulled her arm back in. I rushed at her and had her by the arm before she could get away. Mike brought up the rear and the dress. It was amazing how fast Debbie could walk when she had to get somewhere. I got the feeling she might have waited a little longer than optimum. *** 15:58 14 Mar "No, it looks good on you," Mike was assuring Kim when Debbie came out. She smiled at me, and rolled her eyes. "Uh, Tuck?" Kim sounded seriously worried, but when I looked at her she was staring over Mike's shoulder. "It's Travis, and he's coming this way..." Time seemed to stretch at that moment, for a long long moment of fear. I went through one of those moments of mental temporal dilation, where it just went on and on and on for way too long but it was too short to actually move or do anything. Debbie grabbed my arm and dragged me into the girl's bathroom before I could do more than squeak in surprise. When we went in, a few girls kind of looked up, but Lisa's eyes almost popped out of her head when she saw me. "Travis!" Debbie hissed at her, and kept pulling me towards the stalls. "What are you gonna do?" I whispered, afraid to know. Debbie just snarled in my ear, "Take your shirt off!" and shoved me into a stall. I heard someone complain as she got in the one next to me and slammed the door. *Don't waste time, she has a plan,* I thought. I decided I trusted her to save me. So I started grappling with my clothes as fast as I could. When I had everything up top off, I looked around, wondering what to do next, when her foot kicked the partition. I looked down, and she was holding a bra just off the floor. "Holy Moses," I mentioned. It was all clear to me now. I slowly reached down and took the bra out of her hand. Debbie made an "Oh, boy, I hope you're right" face, and they both left. I heard Travis saying something as the door opened. Mike and Kim just looked at me, identical blank expressions on their faces. I thought, *They make a great couple.* "Hey, Val," Travis said, staring at me. Pause. "I was doing housecleaning today, I just came out when everyone showed up at my house," I explained, shrugging. It was close to true, even. Always keep the lies as simple as possible, I always said. "That's why I look like this," I said, looking down and tugging at my jeans. "Oh," he said, and nodded. "I hate doing housework," he mentioned. Debbie leaned close and whispered, "You know, I bet we could find something that would make you look soooo sexy..." Then she blew into my ear. I got the impression that she liked the idea. I liked the idea of her liking the idea. When she pulled back, we smiled at each other. Danielle was of a clique that included Tina, and they were not friendly to the Pack. Debbie's eyes flashed on me, then she snapped something at Lisa and started walking to the back at Mach one. Kim and Mike let go of me when I got the point, and I headed back to wherever Debbie was going. It was into the changing area. *Oh, no, not again...* Then I saw Julia, leaning against a stall door. She had the same look on her face that I felt right then. *Oh, shit, not now!* I thought desperately, but I didn't have time to do more than wave and pray she would disappear. Debbie waved me urgently into a stall. *** 17:11 14 Mar There was a thumping in the stall next to us, and then a camera flash. I looked up, almost panicked, and it was Lisa, just disappearing back down into her stall. "Lisa, stop it!" Debbie hissed. We were about halfway done, although at least I had my back to it when she took the shot. *** 17:13 14 Mar Debbie pushed me out of the changing stall, leaving me really confused as well as boobless, and shut the door behind me. I was going to look at what had come flying over the partition and she had pressed into my hand, when Danny came into the back with a couple of things that looked like silk. I hoped I wasn't holding the same thing she was holding. "Ahhh!" she gasped when she saw me standing there. "Tucker, you pervert, what are you doing in here?" Julia was still leaning against a stall door. I could only hope she liked me more than she liked Danny. Before I could even come up with a good answer, Lisa opened the door to her stall and walked out. "Hey, hon, what d'you think?" she asked me. She was wearing something that covered her from breasts to crotch with lots of fluffy lace. It made me hurt, just looking at it. It wouldn't have normally, except I was getting more and more sore as time went on, like a bad case of chafing or something. I must've groaned, because she got this momentary puzzled look on her face. "I still hurt from yesterday," I mentioned, and she went ahhhh and nodded. I think I heard Julia gasp from behind me. "Who's this?" Danny asked me with fake sincerity. "Oh, Lisa, this is Danielle Linhart, she goes to my school-" "Call me Danny," she interrupted. Lisa just smiled graciously. "Danny, this is Lisa Steiner." Lying about her last name couldn't do anything but help. "She's a good friend of mine." Lisa gave me a warm smile, and winked at me. *Oh, brother,* I thought, but I couldn't help grinning back. They sort of waved at each other, then Danny focused on me again. "Oh, I thought you were dating Debbie?" she said, sounding just perfectly innocent. I knew, though, she was planning to make trouble with it. I'd watched the Pack operate a few too many times over the last few months to get taken in by this tactic. "Debbie?" asked Lisa back, sort of frowning, like she wasn't sure who Danny was talking about. "Debbie?" Julia repeated, like she wasn't sure what Danny had said. "You called?" chirped Debbie. I turned around to look, and she must've been standing on the bench in the stall, because she was sort of leaning over the door. She had nothing on all the way down to her cleavage, which was as far as I could see. "Oh, hi Danny!" When I turned back to Danny, she was staring at Debbie like she couldn't believe what she was seeing. I was glad I didn't have to try out the story about Lisa helping me find stuff for an anniversary present for Debbie, since I'd already given her one at the six month mark a few weeks ago. Her squealing had made it rather noticeable to anyone around during lunchtime. I guess the dozen roses and box of Ghiardelli chocolates was the right idea. Kim glided in behind Danny. "Oh, hi Danny!" she said, in the same tone of voice Debbie had used, "nice to see you again!" She was carrying something black. Danny twitched and turned around. Kim sailed into another changing stall and shut the door. Pause. I saw Julia bite her lip. "So what do you think?" Lisa asked me. "Oh, I-" I started to say. "It looks just FABulous on you," Debbie told her. Lisa looked over at me. She raised her eyebrows in a question. "Fantastic," was all I could say. "Get that one." "Great," Julia added. Lisa smiled at me, and came over and kissed me on the cheek. "Whatever makes you happy," she stage whispered, a little loud. I stuck my head really close to her ear, kissed her once on the neck, and whispered back, except quietly, "Don't overdo it." Lisa giggled, pushed me away, and walked back into her stall and shut the door. Since there were only four stalls, Danny had to wait. With me. And Julia. I gave Danny a modest smile and shrugged. She just stared. Julia bit her lip some more and stared at the wall. Kim poked her head out of her stall. "Hey, Tuck, could you go get Mike?" "Oh, sure," I said, glad of something to do. I took a couple of steps, saw Mike watching anxiously, and waved him in. He walked in slowly, like he was afraid of finding a dead body he'd have to help me get rid of or something. "Mike?" asked Kim over the door. "Uh, yeah?" Instead of saying anything else, she came out of the stall. She was definitely not fat. And black was her color, especially in lingerie. It went well with the pink blush she had going. I thought Mike's eyes were going to fall out. "Whatcha think?" Kim asked, like she did this all the time. "Oh, great!" I said when it seemed like Mike was paralyzed. She turned around and glared at me. "Tuck, I really appreciate the interest, but don't you think four is a bit much?" Pause. I wondered who number three was supposed to be. "Yeah," added Mike, catching on. Or acting like it. "Go get number four elsewhere." He was still staring at Kim. Everyone managed to keep a straight face, until Debbie and Lisa started laughing from inside the stalls. Debbie looked around for any disagreement. "Sounds like a plan," agreed Mike. *** 19:46 14 Mar "Oh, God, I gotta sit down for a minute," I gasped as I dragged myself onto Lisa's bed. "Don't wrinkle anything," Debbie warned. *** 20:04 14 Mar "Awwwww," chorused three voices, and there was a camera flash. I started, as did Debbie, and we both looked over at the doorway to the bedroom. Lisa, Mike, and Kim were standing there. Lisa was holding the camera. "You two look so cute together," Lisa cooed. I wondered when Debbie had crawled up on the bed next to me. Debbie just turned back to face me, and snuggled against me. Lisa waved at me, shooed the other two out, and shut the door. I kissed Debbie on the forehead, which was the only place I could reach. She smiled at me, and we rearranged ourselves so she was closer to my face, and I had my arms around her. We kissed each other, and she closed her eyes.
