be stored locally and used instead of DL it each time.

edge of my screen. How are these things moderated?
(*Anne-Mal) Mostly just let the guest and questioner, (And me) talk in the open
when the formal chat is going on.
(RLoner) If I have a question, should I whisper it to you, then? Or how does
that work?
(*Anne-Mal) Whisper to me if you want to ask a question, I will tell you who to
ask after. You can talk with the guest as you ask the question.
(Michelle) Anne, there IS another trick to keep the chatter down if you want to
hear it.

(RLoner) I'll chime in with Michelle on that! I have a best friend who is a star
of a Nickelodeon children's show, and he hates to be treated 'special'. He likes
perks sometimes, but the whole demigod thing really freaks him out. :)
(Sapphire) Jack is a real nice guy, I met him at a SF con 9 years ago.
(BDerksen) (I, of course, cultivate my Godlike public image whenever possible :)
(Lainie) Wanda says she met him at a con about 20 years ago! :)

(Lainie) My question is going to be does he think he gets to write the stories
he wants to write or does he feel fan or publisher driven to write what sells?
(*Anne-Mal) I wish his publishing house would let him put out more books!

entirely to Chalker!
(Andrew) Anyone got a favourite series?
(Sapphire) Fav series, "Soul Rider" and the "River" series.
(Lainie) I like "The Devil Will Drag You Under", which isn't a series. :)
(TESS) "Devil Will Drag You Under", it's his most underappreciated book. My
favorite is the "Wonderland Gambit" and the first "Well World" book.
(*Anne-Mal) I like the "Well World" series best of all!
(Regal) Favorite? The "Soul Riders" series.
(BDerksen) I liked "Rings of the Masters" a lot. Not sure if I can pick a single
*favorite*, though. :)
(Michelle) "Changewinds", I guess.
(Lainie) The survey question picked "Identity Matrix" as his favorite among
Fictonmania users.

(Andrew) I agree so far, "Soul Rider" and "Rings". How about "Dancing Gods"?
(TESS) "Dancing Gods" is uneven. The best parts are very good!
(Lainie) The only one of his series I've read the whole thing of is
"Changewinds", and I liked it, but I thought "Dancing Gods" was better, I just
haven't read all of it or any of the others.
(Dove) I haven't read any of Chalker's books yet. My only question is: Why did
Chalker agree to a chat *here*?
(TESS) Why shouldn't he agree? We're nice people and really interested in his
books? ;-)
(Lainie) Dove, authors like to have fans. Why else does anyone publish on
Fictionmania?
(Michelle) Because they haven't found a publisher to buy their stories and they
want exposure?

Log file overloaded and stopped.
Many people did leave to free up room for others and the guest, but he was sick
and Mindy forgot to set the chat room to hold more than 50 and was afraid to
reset the system with so many on.
Missing is what happened as we waited, it was great, but the log was off and I
didn't know it.
