THE INVADERS

Prologue
The Invaders. . . Alien beings from a dying planet. Their
destination: The Earth. Their purpose: To make it their
world.
David Vincent has seen them. For him it began one lost
night on a lonely country road looking for a shortcut that
he never found. It began with a closed deserted diner and a
man too long without sleep to continue his journey. It
began with a landing of a craft from another galaxy.
Now David Vincent knows that the Invaders are here; that
they have taken female form. Somehow he must convince a
disbelieving world that the dream has already begun. . .
and to stop them at all costs; even if he must sometimes
dress like them.
Episode 1
The Diner
ACT I
Architect David Vincent drove down the highway rubbing his
eyes. It was dark and lonely, late in the night. He flipped
on the map light and looked at the map. He put the map down
and flipped off the light. Suddenly he saw it and almost
missed it; a desolate unmarked road to his right. He
stopped, backed up, and turned down this shortcut to
destiny. Down the road he traveled for miles. He rubbed
his eyes again and turned on the AC to put cool air in his
face.
Finally he came to a deserted diner and pulled over to
stop. He picked up the map and looked again. "Was this the
right road?" he wondered, the question clearly readable in
his expression although he uttered no words. He looked at
his surroundings. The night was still. The diner was dark
and decaying.
His car suddenly died and his headlights faded out. The
silence was complete. He tried to turn the key, but there
was no response at all from the car. Then he heard a
strange rustling which became a steady hum. It was coming
from above.
His mouth parted in astonishment as he gazed skyward and
saw a strange glowing saucer descending. It landed in front
of him. He rubbed his face momentarily to wake himself and
make sure what he was seeing was not a dream. It was not.
The first David Vincent saw of the vehicle's occupants was
a shiny black high heel and a smooth shapely leg in a dark
stocking. Figures descended from the craft, stepping
carefully down the landing gear ladder in footwear that was
clearly not designed for ladders. They were all women! And
yet, no matter what his eyes told him, the circumstances
told him otherwise. These beings couldn't be women; but
they looked so real! And then David Vincent began to
appreciate the danger that he was in -- that the world was
in. For if these beings can look so much like women, then
they could be anywhere and no one would suspect.
Something large was lowered from the ship and some of them
carried it over to the diner. It was some sort of sign that
they were erecting over the door. Others back at the ship
were busily unloading large amounts of bulging baggage.
Next David Vincent saw a variety of dresses and gowns being
lowered out of the craft. The sign suddenly lit up and
David Vincent's blood ran cold with fear. It read "CD
Place" in a hot pink glow.
He shuddered uncontrollably. And they turned, now aware of
his presence. One of them pointed a perfectly manicured
finger toward him and without words a message was conveyed
to the others. They started to sashay over to the car...
ACT II
David Vincent was being dragged out of the car. "No!" he
cried as he struggled against them, but there were too
many. He knew for sure they weren't real women by the
strength of their hold upon him as they dragged him toward
the diner. They approached the one who was their Leader and
presented him to her. She reached out with the most
diabolical looking device Vincent had ever seen -- an
eyelash curler. With it she pinched the nerves in his
shoulder in such a manner that David Vincent lost
consciousness.
He awoke to find himself in the seat of a booth. He was in
the diner and it had been transformed. It was cleaned from
top to bottom and repaired to the smallest detail.
"It is good to see you awake. We have been waiting for you
to regain consciousness so that you can share in the
pleasure of what we are about to do to you."
David Vincent realizes the Leader was speaking to him. Her
voice was soft, but husky. "Who are you? What do you want
here?" he asked.
"We are alien beings from a different world, a planet that
was dying from the depletion of its ozone layer due to the
mass quantities of hair spray that we use. We need your
world to survive and continue our activities. You humans
will become our servants and come to enjoy these activities
as much as we do."
"Never! We will fight you to the bitter end."
"Nonsense, you haven't even tried it yet. You will get a
great satisfaction from these activities." said the Leader.
She turned to the others and said, "Ladies, lets show him
what fun it is."
"No!" cried Vincent and he leaped up to escape. Strong
hands grabbed him and held him tight. They began to remove
his suit.
"Of course, for now, we must appear in earth fashions in
order to blend in," the Leader explained. "Some of them are
very fun, but due to our advanced technology we have even
prettier fashions on our home planet. We will slowly
introduce them into your culture and finally, when we have
conquered you humans, we can all go back to wearing them."
The aliens brought out a strange device that looked like a
mini-vac with an ominous glow inside it. As a sassy blonde
in a tight crimson dress passed it across his chest a
tickling beam emerged and caused the hairs to fall out and
be sucked up into the vacuum. David Vincent watch in
detached horror as his arms and legs were given the same
treatment. Then they held him tighter as she brought it up
to his face and slowly removed the shadow of his beard.
He was then sprayed with a sweet scent. "That's a scent
from a flower on our home planet," the Leader remarked with
a wicked smile. "It should make you softer, but the effect
on humans hasn't actually been tested." As David inhaled
the fragrance he felt himself relax. The aliens loosened
their grip.
He felt himself slip into a euphoric stupor. As they
dressed him in softness he began to feel special. The slip
and hose and panties were very smooth on his skin. He was
in a frilly dress of pink chiffon and lace. A solution
rubbed in his hair made his scalp prickly for a few minutes
as his hair grew into long curling tresses. They put him in
a chair and some began to style his hair, while others
applied makeup and pink nail polish to match his gown. They
giggled and laughed as David fell into a sleep...
ACT III
When she awoke she realized how wonderful she felt and it
scared her. With sleep she was feeling less the effects of
the strange perfume. The aliens were sitting around
relaxing with various beverages and smiling at her
knowingly.
The Leader spoke, "Finally awake! You're very lovely when
you're asleep. Your name's David Vincent according to your
ID. You need a better name than that. How about Candy Kane?
Come and join us for a drink Candy."
She decided to play along. She stood up carefully and
wobbled over to the Leader's table. She did a double take
as she caught a glimpse of her reflection in the mirror.
She stared at herself in a stunned awe. The aliens had done
a marvelous job on her. She was very pretty. She could not
seem to look away.
"I'm a girl!" she softly exclaimed. "I wouldn't have
believed it possible."
Her long brown hair was nicely arranged and pinned up with
flowers. Her dress was a soft pink with short lacy sleeves.
Her legs were shapely through beige stockings. Her pink
high heals matched her dress. Her ears had been pierced but
apparently instantly healed due to some alien medical
technology. She was wearing gold earrings and a matching
gold pendant. The pendant and low cut of her gown
emphasized her cleavage. She raised her hands to her bosom
and felt lightly with her fingers, taking care not to
scratch herself with her long pink nails. She looked down.
"They're real!" she gasped.
"No, Candy, they're not real," the Leader replied with a
grin. "It's our advanced technology. Those breast forms
mold themselves to your body at the molecular level. They
fit so closely in color and shape that there appears to be
no seam. And they transmit sensations such as your touch
directly to the appropriate nerve endings in your skin. Now
sit down and have a drink."
Candy sat down and ordered a coffee. The Leader offered her
a cigarette and a light. "No," she admonished Candy. "Not
like that. Hold it this way. That's more ladylike."
"This feels wonderful," Candy said gaily. "You were right.
Tell me, is there anything you can't do?"
The Leader, enchanted by Candy's charm, replied in an
unguarded moment, "Well, we can't maintain this form for
more than several days without returning to one of our
beauty stations. These are large hairdryers that use
abundant amounts of electricity to regenerate our beauty.
And when we die we disintegrate, so we can't wear our best
clothes at our funeral. Some of us also have a defect in
our hands so that we have trouble drinking tea with our
pinkie politely extended. Notice Mayva over there." Candy
saw a gorgeous redhead drinking from her tea cup with her
pinkie curled in.
As the night progressed the party got more lively. Soon
everyone was singing and dancing and having a good time. As
the attention focused on a singing act, Candy slipped
through the door. Outside she noticed the ship was gone as
she stumbled to the car.
Inside she turned the key and the engine roared to life. As
Candy shot off down the road she saw the aliens emerge from
the diner. Shouts were heard and a flash of light sped past
her car, missing it by inches. It hit a large boulder,
which glowed red for a few seconds, and then vanished.
Candy raced off into the night...
ACT IV
"Now tell us again what happened to the boulder," the
Sheriff requested.
"It disappeared in a beam of light," replied Vincent
warily. "Look, I know how fantastic this sounds. I wouldn't
believe me if I were you either. Just send someone out to
the diner and take a look. That will prove my story."
"Aliens!" the Sheriff shook his head. "That's what comes
from people watching too much TV. But it can't hurt to
check out this place. Riley, bring the car around front."
"Right Sheriff," the deputy answered as he headed for the
door.
"Mr. Vincent, I think you better come along."
"Can I change clothes first, Sheriff? My suitcase is in my
car. "
"That would be helpful. You're kind of distracting. I
wouldn't want Riley looking at your chest in the rear view
mirror and drive us off a cliff. There's a bathroom at the
end of the hall you can change in."
David Vincent was once again David Vincent although dressed
as Candy. It was a marvelous experience. Too much so. He
was afraid of what would happen to the people of Earth if
these alien invaders subjected them to the same experience.
After retrieving his suitcase from the trunk of his car, he
went into the bathroom to change.
Slowly, reluctantly, he started. First came the earrings,
then the pendant. He slipped off the pumps and gazed into
the mirror for a long moment. Then with a sigh he began to
strip.
Outside the Sheriff told Riley, "We'll go out and have a
look around. It's good to humor these crackpots. Keeps them
from getting upset and violent."
"Are you sure he's a crackpot, Sheriff?" asked Riley.
"Riley! What else could he be dressed like that? The man is
a fruitcake I tell you. Keep your eye on him."
"Right, sir!"
Vincent emerged dressed in a shirt and slacks and carrying
his suitcase and a bag. He put them in the trunk of his car
and joined the Sheriff and Riley at theirs. The ride out to
the diner was uneventful.
When they arrived no trace existed of the spaceship
landing. The diner looked just as deserted as it did when
he first saw it the night before. The sign was gone.
Vincent had a sickening feeling in his stomach as he led
the Sheriff and Riley inside. The inside was empty. Dust
was everywhere. Old trash lay scattered about.
"Aliens, huh?" the Sheriff said disgustedly. "I don't even
see a wild goose."
"They were here. I know they were. They've put everything
back, obliterated all traces... but they were here. And now
they're out there, somewhere!"
"Yea, sure."
"It can't have been a dream. How do you explain the women's
clothes? "
"Maybe you get your kicks wearing them," piped in Riley.
"Riley, that's enough," warned the Sheriff in a scolding
tone. "Ready to go Mr. Vincent?"
"Yea, there's nothing here. But those clothes will prove
that there are invaders here on Earth."
Discouraged, David Vincent got back into the car. The
police car pulled away from the place where it all started
and began the long journey back to town...
Epilogue
David Vincent pulled the bag of women's clothes out of the
trunk of his car.
"This will prove to the world that I'm telling the truth.
This is evidence of technology superior to ours."
"Please Mr. Vincent," the Sheriff consoled. "You're just
making this harder on yourself."
"Please look at it!"
The Sheriff looked for a long moment at David Vincent. He
sighed. "Okay, bring it into the office and we'll take a
look."
They entered the office and David Vincent set the bag down
on a table. As he bent over to look at it, he noticed a
strange heat coming from it, followed by a red glow.
"Get back!" he warned.
The bag and its contents turned bright red and vanished,
leaving nothing but ash on the table. The Sheriff and Riley
gaped.
"Mr. Vincent, I think I owe you an apology," the Sheriff
spoke, still in awe at what he had just witnessed.
The three just stared at the table in silence.
For David Vincent it is just the beginning of a long
crusade; to find others who believe and to locate the alien
invaders and stop them before they spread their unique
fashions throughout the entire world.
