The students of Andrew J. Warner High School filed nervously into the
auditorium. Their team, the "Toons", had just won the District
Basketball playoffs. Normally, it would have been a cause for
celebration, but a number of students had gotten out of hand after the
game. There'd been some fistfights between the supporters of the two
teams and a bit of vandalism at the arena and in the neighborhoods
surrounding the school. This assembly had been called by the Principal,
and it wasn't going to be pretty.
Dr. Stephan Andrew Kessler, the Principal, wasn't happy about the
delegation of homeowners that he'd had to talk with that morning or the
meeting with the district administrator that he'd just come from. And
the man known to his students as "Killer Kessler" was going to take it
out on that pack of animals he'd been stuck with.
He sat on stage next to the podium watching them file in. Kessler was a
tall man in his late forties. He wore a well-tailored gray suit with a
gold and gray -- the school colors -- necktie. His hair, a salt and
pepper brown, was short and perfectly combed.
As the last students came in and found their seats in the balcony, he
stood and walked the step to the podium. The hall was quiet. The
students were bracing themselves for what they thought was coming.
"I suppose," he began, speaking into the microphone, "some of you
expected to come here for a celebration." He'd done a sound check before
the doors were opened for the students so as not to waste time.
"Well, _forget it_, because this school has very little to celebrate."
He waited a moment to let his words sink in.
"I was proud of our team last night. They played well and gave this
school much to be proud of."
"Then the rest of you took that pride away."
"Two students from this school and three from Millbrook had to be
treated at the emergency room. Another student spent the night in jail
on drunk driving charges. The owners of two stores near this school
building had rocks thrown through their windows, and there is probably
more toilet paper draped over trees and houses - including my own home,
I might add - than was used to make the floats for last fall's
homecoming parade."
"Oh, yes, you all did this school proud. I -"
An invisible sphere of force shot out from somewhere in the auditorium
and struck Kessler in the chest. His body glowed in the ultraviolet
spectrum for a moment before it sunk down into him, and he began to
change.
He shrank several inches as his body settled into a more feminine
appearance. The gray faded from his hair, which grew longer and arranged
itself into a bun. His... her business suit shifted from a masculine to
a feminine cut. Her tie gathered up at throat as a bright yellow silk
scarf. The pants moved up her legs before they merged into a skirt that
stopped just below her pantyhose-covered knees. She was still wearing
what would be called "sensible shoes", but they now had a one-inch heel.
Mrs. Stephanie Kessler McAndrews, the Vice Principal, cleared her throat
before she continued. "There is really no excise for what happened last
night. I realize that those who acted in such inappropriate ways thought
that they were showing their pride in our _victory_ on the basketball
court." She waited for the hoots and cheers to die down. "But hurting
people and vandalizing property is not the way to do it."
"There were a great number of phone calls to the School Board, the
administration, and to my own office. The police, parents from both
schools, and the merchants whose businesses were vandalized all
contacted me. Every last one insisted that the students involved be
punished and that steps be taken so that nothing like this happens
again."
"I'm afraid that I have to agree with this sentiment. Therefore -"
She stopped for a moment, suddenly dizzy. Then she closed her eyes as
more changes washed over her.
Her stocky figure grew taller and thinner, only her breasts kept their
size. They were 36-C, but they seemed bigger on her slender body. Her
hair was a lighter brown now, with some blonde highlights, and it hung
down to her shoulders, framing her round face. Her younger face, since
she was now only 27. Her jacket was now a canary-yellow sweater with a
single button closed just below her breasts. Her shirt was tighter and
stopped an inch above her knees. She rose slightly as her shoes became a
pair of pumps with a two-inch heel.
Ms. Stephanie Anne Kessler, junior member of the English Department and
faculty advisor to the Pep Squad, looked out over the student body, as
they squirmed in their seats.
"It wasn't right, what happened last night. I... all of the teachers are
_so_ disappointed in you and the way you acted. And I mean the way that
_all_ of you acted. Even the ones who didn't misbehave share the
responsibility because you didn't stop the ones who were doing all of
those things. Things have got to be made right. There will be
punishments for the ones who were directly involved, of course, but what
about the rest of you?"
"The idea that it was just good, clean fun or that it was all right
because 'everybody does it' doesn't carry much weight with the powers
that be this morning. We're going to have to... have to do..."
These were the final changes.
Her body shrank down into a mass of cuddly, teenaged curves. Only her
breasts kept their adult dimensions. Her hair hung down to her waist in
blonde ringlets. Her lips were full and pouty. Make-up made her blue
eyes seem even bigger. She wore the pleated gray skirt and tight yellow
sweater of a Warner High School "Tweetie", the prize-winning
cheerleaders. Her tiny feet, blushing pink-painted toenails and all,
were inside a pair of gray sneakers and yellow ankle socks with tiny
gray pompoms.
Steffi Kessler, head cheerleader, continued the thought. "So we, like,
have to do something to show everybody that we're not all like the ones
that, like, did all that bad stuff last night. I was talking to Harry
Stoddard, and we, like, got this great idea." She giggled.
"Actually, Harry came up with it, but I think it's, like, a great idea,
too. We're gonna have two teams. He's gonna be the captain of one, and
I'll be captain of the other. And... ummm." She giggled again at her
confusion. "Harry, can you come up and tell everybody the rest of it.
You can, like explain it a lot better than I can."
Harry was sitting near the front with the rest of the basketball team.
He squirmed past them to the aisle and ran up onto the stage. The whole
time the auditorium rang with cheers for the captain of the team and the
player who had made 23 points, winning the championship game the night
before. He acknowledged the cheers with a long wave of his arm as he
bounded across the stage to Steffi.
When he reached her, he possessively put his arm around her waist, his
hand resting low on her hip, and gave her a kiss on the cheek. This set
off another round of cheers, laughter, and any number of libidinous
suggestions. Steffi blushed and buried her face in his Harry's shoulder.
After a moment or two, Harry picked up the microphone. "Let me tell you
my idea. Then, we can get back to the other stuff." There was more
laughter, but it died down quickly when he raised his hand again. "Two
teams, like Steffi said. Each team'll get a list of half the houses that
got T-Ped and the stores that got vandalized. The first team to clean up
its list gets a day's cut from classes and a pizza party from the
student activities fund."
Dr, Michael O'Malley stepped onto the stage. He was the Principal, now,
thanks to the magic that had changed Steffi. "There are sign-up sheets
at the back of the auditorium for the two teams. This is a great chance
for you students to redeem Warner's reputation, and I applaud Harry and
Steffi for coming to me with the idea and for getting the members of the
basketball team and the cheerleader's squad to volunteer." He stepped
back, clapping his hands, as the rest of the school joined in.
"And don't forget our side bet," Harry whispered to Steffi.
She blushed again. "I won't, but it's, like, a win-win bet."
It was. The captain of the losing team, Steffi or Harry, had to perform
oral sex on the captain of the winning team.
"Isn't it, though." He happily pulled her close. His hand reached down,
behind the cover of the podium, to caress her shapely ass.
'I love being a wizard.' Harry thought. 'Changing reality to make Killer
Kessler into my bimbo girl friend was my second best idea ever. It's
almost as good idea as turning myself from the fat, little nerd virgin
who could barely last through a gym class and was avoided by any girl
worth looking at into a superstud NBA-level player, who's regularly
fucking the sexiest girl in the school.'
