Bill was late. He was supposed to meet Anna at the Museum half an hour
ago but lost track of time. Taking a short cut, he cuts through a
deserted section of the city which has been long abandoned. The section
looked derelict and mainly houses the city's addicts. It didn't help
that it was a foggy night. After 20 minutes of aimless wandering, he
conceded defeat and started to look around for some directions.
He spots an old man sitting in an alleyway. "Excuse me, how do I get to
the museum from her?"
The old man smiles wickedly and opens the door next to him. "Try this
way".
Apprehensive about the doorway, he hesitated. He knew he had little
choice, continue wandering or try this route. After all, he could always
turn back if it doesn't lead anywhere. Thanking the old man, he rushes
in.
It was dark inside. But as soon as he was in, the door closed behind him
and he saw a very long hallway light up for him. On both sides were
doors. The hallway looked like it went on forever. He started to run.
Ten minutes of running later, he began to panic. The hallway did not seem
to end. Neither did the doors. He decided to backtrack to his point of
entry and leave the building, running back the way he came. After
fifteen minutes, he had yet to reach the door. His concerns were
growing. He should be where he started but all he could see was a long
stretch of corridors. Great not only was he lost; he was stuck in a
strange building.
Deciding there was little left he could do, he chose to open one of these
doors. Before he opened the door, he read the inscription on it. "Think
EXIT to leave." Puzzled by the message, the walked in and...
"Excuse me!" Looking up he sees a man handing him a book. "I need a
section of this book photocopied." Bill instinctively takes the book
from the man, photocopies it and hands it back to him, telling him to pay
at the cashier.
"How did I know to do all that?" he asked himself. Then he started to
realize how different he felt. He had breasts! His hands looked smaller
and slender. He moved his hands downwards, only to confirm his worst
fears. He is a woman! He takes a look around to get his bearings.
A middle aged woman walks up to him, "Are you OK Jennifer? You look
pale."
"I don't feel so good. Where are the toilets?"
"Where they have always been, out back in the loading bays."
Bill runs out to the back. With each step, he could feel the breasts
jiggle. Slamming the door after he got in, Bill could not believe what
he saw. Reflecting back was an image of a young woman, about 20 years
old. She is a brunette with her long hair tied into a ponytail, 5'5",
wearing a blue t-shirt uniform, tight black pants. With his slender new
hands Bill touches himself, moving from the face, to the breasts and
finally to the crotch. His name tag had the name Jennifer. He slid down
onto the floor and sat there for what felt like an eternity.
Bill then headed back into the shop and went into the staff room.
Grabbing the handbag from the only drawer marked Jennifer, he proceeded
to learn a bit more about this woman. Jennifer Paterson is 19 and from
the looks of her IDs, is a college student. She is probably working part
time in this place. Grabbing her car keys Bill heads out to the shop, to
tell the manager he wasn't feeling well. Out in the car park, he started
to press the remote on her keys to activate her car alarm. The Toyota ten
feet away from him started to blare loudly. He gets in and starts the
engine. Using the license details and the map in the car, Bill manages
to figure out where Jennifer stays.
He reaches the apartment in 15 minutes and had to virtually try out all
the keys before reaching inside the apartment. It appears that she has a
roommate called Vanessa. Good thing she is not in at the moment. Since
one of the doors had a big V on it, Bill enters the other room. The
pictures in the room confirmed it is her room. From the looks of it,
Jennifer is not a tidy person. There was clothing everywhere. The room
was pretty disorganized. Clearing a section of the bed, he sat down.
Panic began to take over. "Now not only am I lost along with 10 years of
my life, I have just become a woman!" He then remembers the last words on
the door. "EXIT!" he thinks. The next thing, he is back in the doorway,
holding the doorknob. Not wanting to go there again, he takes his pen
and writes Jennifer on the lower corner of the door.
As a precaution, I'll open the door and take a peek before charging in.
To his surprise, he finds all the doors on his left were locked. After
trying 15 doors on the left side, he gave up. "Well, it looks like I'm
only allowed right doors." With great care, he slowly opens a right door
a little bit to take a peek inside when suddenly...
"So mummy can I have it?"
He looks down and sees a pair of breasts and a little girl, about 8 years
old. "Great! I'm a mother!" Lifting his hands he notices a wedding
ring. "And I'm married! Can it get any worse!" he thinks.

After getting some ice cream, Bill and the little girl sat on the park
bench. While she cheerfully ate the ice cream, Bill searched the handbag
for clues. Susan McMillan was on the driver's license and was born in
1960. Using a compact mirror, he had a look at his reflection. Susan
was a blond and still looked quite young for her age apart from a few
crows' legs around the eyes. Not wanting to wait any longer, Bill
thought "EXIT!" Nothing happened. Bill was still in the park in this
woman's body.
"Do you remember where Mummy parked the car?" Bill asked. The little
girl nods. Can you show me? He walked to silver SUV parked at the end
of the car park. Getting in, he had to use the map and license to get
back to their place. Bill didn't want to leave an 8 year old wandering
in the park should something happen to this body after he vacated it.
They reach a relatively large house in the nearby suburbs. Using the
remote in the vehicle, he opened the gates. They are met by a maid at
the door.
"You're back early madam. Shall I have lunch ready?"
Bill nods and walked upstairs. The master bedroom was huge. From the
pictures on the wall, it appears Mrs. McMillan has 3 children and from
the size of this house, the McMillan's must be rich. "EXIT!" thinks Bill
and he was in the corridor again.
He went on from door to door for what felt like days. With each door he
opened, Bill was a different female, Black, White, Asian, old, young,
tall, short, fat, skinny. Bill has no idea how long he had been trapped
in this cursed corridor. It felt like hours but it might have been days.
His watch appeared to have stopped the moment he entered this place. He
felt he was going mad. Bill wanted out and he wanted it now. The truth
then dawned on him. His existence was doomed in this madhouse and was
left with only one option, pick a life and continue living it or spend
the rest of his existence looking for a way out.
He sat down for a minute to ponder his options. He narrowed his options
down to four women. The Susan was rich. That would be easy but he would
have lost a few years of his life and gained 3 kids and a husband!
Joanne from door 52 was tempting. Sexy body, blond and was the same age
as Bill but she was engaged to be married soon. Carol from door 39 was
single, a few years younger but was a bit plump and finally Jennifer from
door 1. He would loose 10 years and would have to start all over again.
Bill got up and made his decision, He walked to the door, opened it...
He stared at his reflection and smiled. Bill straightened his tight top.
"Coming Jennifer?" shouted Vanessa. Bill grabbed his bag and books and
headed out to meet Vanessa.
