Today was a rotten day for Jim. His temperamental boss just gave him an
earful. As he drove home, he started to swear under his breath. Jim felt
aimless and wasn't paying attention to his driving and suddenly found
himself in a strange and derelict neighborhood. As he drove around he
notices that the place was relatively quite and deserted. Not wanting to
stay any longer in the eerie place, he started to drive around to look
for a way out.
Just as he was about to turn around to backtrack his path in, he heard a
loud bag and felt his car jerked violently. Cursing his predicament, he
got out of the car only to notice his left tire was flat. "GREAT!" he
swears under his breath. Flipping out his cell phone, he proceeded to
dial for help only to discover there was no coverage in this strange
place.
It was beginning to get dark, so Jim started to wander around to see if
there was anyone in this area that might help him. As he walked down the
main street, he hears music down an alleyway to his right. Carefully, he
proceeded down the narrow lane, only to discover an old man sitting on a
chair watching TV!
"Can you help me?" he asks the old man. The wizardry looking figure
smiles and replies "There is a telephone inside", gesturing to the door
next to him. Puzzled at how what old man knew what he was after, Jim
enters the door, leading him into a dark room. Just as he was about to
turn around to ask the old man a question, the door closed on him, Lights
came on and revealed a long corridor or doors. There were doors on both
sides. The corridor looked like it went on forever. The door that led him
in wasn't there when he turned around again. Jim stared to panic and
stared to walk down the long corridor.
After half an hour, Jim could not see any changes to the environment
around him. It was as if he had remained stationary for the last thirty
minutes. The corridor and rows of doors were as long as ever. In a state
of panic he shouted 'HELLO!!! ANYONE IN HERE ?'.All he could here was his
echo. Choosing to remain positive about the situation, he proceeded to
continue his journey down the corridor. As he stared walking down, he
could here doors slamming. Elated to know there was life in this accursed
corridor, he runs toward the source of the sounds. When he got there, he
saw a man running around frantically walking in and out of the rooms on
the right hand side and slamming the doors. He grabs hold of the fellow.
The man appeared deranged, dehydrated and looked like he hasn't had a
bath or shaved for days.
"Who are you?" he asks.
"My name is Jennifer. I was just at work when I suddenly appeared here,
as a man! I've been trying to get out but every time I enter a room, I'm
in a different place, as a different person and always a MAN! I can't get
into the rooms on the left side of this place. I just want out!"
He deranged man screams and suddenly darts through one of the doors. I
try to run after him but I could not open the doors. Jim tries the next
few doors next to it but they were all locked. He was beginning to panic.
If he can't open any doors on the right and the crazy fellow says the
ones on the left are locked, what will happen to him? With nothing to
loose, Jim decoded to try a door on the left. Just as he turned the
knob..........
"Hey Janet, can you pass me that pencil?" Jim looks up, only to find a
young woman pointing at the pencil next to him. He reaches forward to
grab it only to discover he was now a woman. His hands were slender and
had rings on each finger. Quickly passing the pencil to the young lady,
Jim got up and stared to look around. He was in an office. It looks like
it was lunchtime. The clock is displaying 1pm and the place was
relatively deserted except for him and his young companion. While his

Regardless, the way in is a one way passage. Once in, the only way out is
through these doors on your left. You can only open up to 8 doors and
enter and exit as many times as you wish but once you remain in a door
longer than 24 hours that life will be permanently yours," the old man
replied and on that note, he vanished. Jim stood there speechless. He
calmed himself, trying not to panic as it would not improve the
situation. This corridor was not helping either. He had to get out even
if it was as another at least he will be out of this claustrophobic
place. He entered the left door in front of him and....
"Coming?!" Jim turns to see a brunette running into the sea. He was at
the beach and could smell the salt and sea water. He raised his hands,
only to notice them slim and slender again. He looked down, finding a

After she left, Jim picked up a handbag next to him and started to
examine the contents. Anne Smith, 30 was his current identity. From the

trip and both of then were due to fly home tomorrow, wherever home is.

She is a creative consultant in a large advertising firm. She stays on
her own in an apartment. She has two sisters. Anne and Sharon had been

this trip for over 6 months now. Not wanting to arouse any suspicions,
Jim decided to end the game and switched over to a more generalist
conversations about their current trip. Jim paid for the meal and they
retired back to the room. While Sharon was in the shower, Jim decided to
take his leave.
"EXIT!!" and he was back in the corridor again. Marking an alphabet A on
the door, Jim opened the next one and stepped into...
His hands were in water and he was wearing gloves. The sink was filled
with dishes. Taking his hands out and removing the gloves, revealed a

options were Catherine, Janet or Anne. Regardless of his choice, he will
be a woman and this would mean, he will either have to get use to the
idea of being with a man or becoming a lesbian or choosing to remain
single for his rest of his life. Knowing how little his options he had
left, he walked back to the door marked A and walked in....
"Coffee or tea?" Jim looked up to the stewardess with 2 hot flasks in her
hands. "Coffee will be fine". Sipping down the coffee, Jim wondered what
awaits him when he lands and resumed his new life.
