Janet looked at Joanne and handed her several templates. "Joanne which
of these brow shapes do you want me to use?" She asked.
Joanne examined them and choosing one handed it back. It was arched
high going from thick at the bridge of the nose and tapering into a
slight dip before trailing off in an up swing. "Don't you think this
one will give Kitten a feline look to match her name?" She said.
With that, Janet took the template, spread warm wax over the edges and
applied them to each of Josh's brows. "This might hurt just a little
bit Kitten but I think you will really like the results. Beats the heck
out of having to tweeze out the individual hairs," Janet said as she
quickly ripped the templates from his brows.
"Ouch! That really hurt Janet," Josh stated as tears began to form at
the corners of his eyes. "What'd ya do anyway?"
"Just shaped your eyebrows darling. Here's a tissue. Now blot your eyes
so I can begin putting on your make up. We don't want your mascara to
run, now do we?"
Janet took a small dampened sponge and began smoothing a liquid make up
base to his face. "Kitten when you do this yourself; make sure you use
small circular motions to thinly coat your skin. The foundation should
be as close to your natural color as possible and applied thinly. Just
enough to clear up any blemishes or discolorations. Too much and you
will look artificial and we don't want that."
With the foundation applied, Janet lined both his upper and lower
eyelids with black eyeliner. She began feathering silver above lavender
eye shadow to his eyelids flaring it out just past the eye giving them
a feline appearance. She even used the same colors on the lower corner
of his lids in an upsweep that blended with that on his upper lids.
This was followed by black mascara, a dusting of powder to set the
foundation, a little blush to the cheeks and finally a coating of a
rich creamy looking lavender lipstick which she applied with a brush
after outlining the lips to make them look fuller. Telling him to hold
his breath and close his eyes, she sprayed a fine mist of setting
solution to seal the make up.
"There," she said as she stepped back and turned the styling chair
around so that he faced the mirror. "All finished. What do you think of
the new you?"
Joanne couldn't believe how beautiful Josh's make over had turned out.
He was a living doll. Janet had bleached his hair into a mass of soft
platinum blonde curls with fantastic lavender highlights. The
highlights began as a dark lavender at the tips of the curls fading
into pale lavender as the color reached mid-curl. The hair combined
with the make up made Josh look just like his new name... kittenish.

Josh for his part was struck dumb. He couldn't believe what Janet had

As they walked out of the salon Josh couldn't help reaching up to touch

hobo bag later and they went to the food court to get something to eat.
They each had a chicken salad and diet drink. As they ate, Josh just
listened to Joanne complimenting him on just how precious, just how

at all the praise he was getting from her.
She was so good to him and so nice. He would do anything for her he

As they were leaving the mall, Joanne stopped him next to a pagoda

Before he could object, he was sitting in a chair and a young black

tomorrow you should have no problems wearing make up."
The rest of the week went by without much happening. Josh learned more
and more about presenting himself as a young woman. He practiced his
make up techniques daily under Joanne's tutelage, learned how to
coordinate his wardrobe and use accessories to create new outfits.
Ronnie had left behind a large number of nylon and silk scarves, belts,
purses and costume jewelry that he could use as well as a number of
dresses, blouses, and skirts. He was a quick learner and Joanne was
very proud of his achievements.
