Brad woke up to the smell of hamburgers cooking. 'Mmm, that smells pretty
good,' he thought to himself as he pulled himself up in the chair. 'Wait
a minute - how'd I get here?' he wondered as realization of where he was
and why he was there slowly came back to him.
Brad Wilkes, software developer for Vertex Software had been assigned by
his boss to find Eric Parker, his best friend and team leader, who had
taken "ill" after apparently suffering some allergic reaction which
swelled his lips up and turned them bright red. Eric had called off work
the next day, and in fact had asked Mr. Corouthers for two weeks off to
deal with whatever problem he was having. As Eric was long overdue for a
vacation and wanting to reward him with something besides the sizable
raise that he gave Eric for winning a multi-million dollar contract for
the fledgling software company, he quickly agreed.
However, within days of the start of Eric's "vacation" the customer, Mr.
Adams, had pressed not only for an early release of the software, but was
calling in a promise made by Eric for a "face-to-face" meeting. Adams had
known proclivities for swinging for the other team, and Eric's well
muscled frame along with Eric's appearance that day at the meeting with
his bright red swollen lips had really tweaked Adams' interest.
Problems abounded on several levels - not only was Eric incommunicado (a
huge departure from his normal routine) and couldn't be found, but his
part of the software wasn't working as expected, and causing major faults
in the other team's code. So, the company couldn't fulfill either of
Adams' demands, and he was threatening to pull the contract. Corouthers
had set Brad loose to find Eric at any cost.
He had finally got an answer on Eric's cell phone - but it wasn't Eric.
It was some chick who had apparently kidnapped Eric, and Sandy - but,
Sandy didn't look like herself either. She looked like a live
photomanipulation where the "artist" grafts a woman's head on a man's
body - a very well built man's body in Sandy's case. Brad remembered the
"freak" and the redhead hottie telling him some cockamamie story about
the razors and tanning lotion he'd been told to pick up at Eric's place
and bring to the beach house.
As he continued to wake up, he remembered passing out - must've been
given something in a drink - no, he had gone to the bathroom; he
remembered going in, turning on the lights, and OH SHIT.
His hands flew to his face - no beard stubble, no angular jaw, no
pronounced cleft chin - certainly no proud Roman nose, and his lips! God,
they felt twice as big as they should be. Running his hand further up his
forehead, he met locks and locks of hair - for someone who normally kept
his hair short to help conceal his male pattern balding, finding that
mane of golden blond hair was, to understate it, disconcerting. Brad
immediately began to hyperventilate, "Wha...wha...wha...."
"What happened to you?" Sandy finished. "Proof. That's what. You wouldn't
believe us, so we had to show you." Sandy came around and sat heavily in
the chair. "I guess now you don't need any more convincing huh?"
"But, but, I still sound like me - and my body..." Brad stammered.
"Is still the same. We didn't do your neck or any other part of you, so
from the top of your neck down you're still you. Though I must admit,
Blondie, you're quite a looker from the neck up!" Sandy grinned.
Brad sat in shock, continually running his hands over his face, hair,
ears - nothing was familiar. He noticed that they had apparently
anticipated his next wish, and had provided a hand mirror on the table
next to the chair. He tentatively picked it up and slowly brought his
reflection into view. Almost dropping the mirror from a now shaking hand,
he began his explorations anew, slowly going over every inch of his now
unfamiliar visage like a hiker might go over a map of unfamiliar
territory.
"My teeth are the same", he said, as he pulled his new kisser into a
grimace.
"Yeah - they'll stay that way until you do the whole thing, your whole
body that is. Eric's didn't change until he did either. You've got a real
pretty mouth boy..." Sandy's voice dropped to a growl as she threw in a
ridiculous southern drawl.
Fascination began to give way to anger. Brad's new face began to get
bright red as the fury began to seethe. "Turn me back, right the hell
now, or I'll, I'll..."
Sandy held back a smile, which she knew would only piss Brad off more.
"You'll what, call the cops? What are you going to tell them Brad? Think
about it, this is one of the coolest things you've ever seen. Aren't you
the least bit curious? I would have never thought Eric would go as far as
'he' did, and you're way more adventurous than him."
"But you didn't ask me! I didn't want to look like this! I don't want to
look like this! How do I get back to normal?" Brad was really getting
keyed up and starting to get that "trapped animal" look.
"Time. You have to wait for it to wear off," Erica's voice was sweet
honey as she padded into the room, still clothed in a bikini, but with a
matching wrap around her hips. "When I dry shaved that one morning, it
wore off while I was sleeping - when my 5:00 shadow started showing up.
This," she swept her hand down her body, "won't wear off as quickly,
because of this." She held up the can of shaving gel. "According to the
can, I could be like this for another week, maybe two - we don't know
yet."
"And Sandy?" Brad looked up and down Sandy's formidable frame.
"Same deal - we're not sure - the jar of tanning cream says results last
'about' two weeks. We don't know exactly what 'about' means. We weren't
anticipating seeing anybody we knew until the effects wore off. Then you
came along, all 'I've got to find Eric and save the day' and things have
gotten much more complicated."
Brad asked his next question with trepidation, "What...ahem....what
about, me?" His heart was in his throat, fearing the answer.
Knowing he was already wound tight, Erica gave him the straight answer,
"It should only last a little while. We shaved you with water only - no
gel - and then rubbed the razor over the rest. We discovered that doing
that takes longer for the transformation to take place, but it also wears
off quicker. You should be back to normal in a few hours."
"But Eric, er Erica? I gotta get back! Corouthers is frantic! Adams is
pissed! We're gonna lose the contract because your software doesn't work
and Adams, well, Adams wants you all to himself. Sorry Sandy..." Brad
looked over at Sandy who looked confused.
"He was there at the meeting that morning after my lower face
transformed. He's a queer - everybody knows it and he likes to pretend
that nobody knows." Erica explained. "I doubt he'd want me in my current
'state' though. I still belong to you honey - always will!" He gave Sandy
a peck on the cheek, though Sandy looked a little disgusted with the
prospect of a client chasing her fianc? in any form.
"Well, obviously neither one of you can go back to work like you are. And
Erica calling in like she is is out. Brad, you'll just have to call and
tell Corouthers something. Anything that will get him off your back,"
Sandy opined.
Brad sat back in defeat. "I'm gonna get so fired. You'll be lucky to keep
your job too. I still can't believe you did this." Brad was fairly ogling
Erica's newest accoutrements. He was also starting to get turned on,
considering how great Erica looked. To his consternation and discomfort,
he was also starting to get more than a little "curious". All told, the
hard-on that he was now trying to hide was predictable, given the
circumstances. He didn't know what to do with his hands, so Brad picked
up the mirror again, and began examining his face again.
"Well, unless you brought your laptop with you, there's not much we can
do to fix the software from here. And what do you mean it's not working?
It was working fine before I left? I'd tested the hell out of it - we
demo'd it remember? What changed since the meeting?" Erica asked.
"Nothing really - when you went on 'sick' leave," Brad stole another look
at his 'buddy', "we put a co-op onto the task of commenting the code
prior to delivery. But we checked his work - all he did is make comments
based on your notes." Brad said.
"Occam's Razor - whatever is the simplest explanation is usually the
right one. But I won't know anything until I see the code. How long do we
have?" Erica asked. She looked outside - twilight was coming on over the
ocean. It was a moment she had hoped to "enjoy" with Sandy, a beachtowel
and not much else.
"Well, that's the problem. We have until tomorrow morning at 9:00am to
produce something that works. The code hasn't been downloaded off of the
central core so even if I had my laptop we couldn't get to it. You gotta
go in Eric - ca."
Erica looked panic-stricken. She looked at Sandy and Brad, and did the
only thing that came to mind. The sobs came slowly, and then more quickly
as she envisioned her entire future going up in smoke based on a decision
to grab a bag of razors that he'd been warned off of by a little old
troll in a bathrobe. "All balls and no brains," had been his modus
operandi and now here SHE was, "no balls, and can't stop crying."
The old man adjusted his bathrobe as he took another bite of popcorn, and
then looked back into the crystal ball before him. "This is better than
'Fear Factor'! I wonder what they'll do next...I wonder - no Erica, no!"
Erica sat up, "I've got an idea. Maybe we can make this work after all.
Sandy - get me the tanning cream. I want to try something."
Sandy said, "But honey, didn't it say not to use..."
Erica cut him off, "I don't care - I've got to try. This could ruin us if
I don't fix it." She got up and grabbed the cream, and began applying it
to her face and neck...
The wizard sat back and sighed. "I wish they'd pay attention to the
directions. Magic and magic just does not mix. I suppose I'll have to
help them..."
Danni, engaged in making a potion, looked up and smirked. 'The old coot
has a heart when it serves him...' and then turned back to her potion.
"Honey, do you see anything happening? Is it working? I mean, I feel a
tingle..." Erica turned towards Sandy, as she continued applying the
cream down her stomach, and beyond.
"Um, well, you're definitely getting tanner, and your face is
changing...but..." Sandy was watching thoughtfully.
"But what?" Erica had finished applying the cream everywhere she could
reach, including her breasts and along her pelvis, backside and
everywhere else.
"But your face still looks female - harder, more defined, but definitely
female," Sandy continued to watch as the tan continued to set itself on
Erica's skin, making her skin ripple and mutate. Erica stopped short of
rubbing her hands through her hair.
"This tingle, it's, it's really itching. Oh!" Erica doubled over in pain
as she grabbed her stomach.
"Erica, are you alright?" Sandy whimpered as Erica dropped to the floor,
writhing in pain, still holding her midsection. As Sandy watched, Erica's
entire frame stretched out - looking like she grew 6 inches. Erica
screamed as she stretched and locked her arms and legs spread eagle.
Muscle began to show up all over her well defined curves; it was like
watching the "Hulk" transform, but as a female. Erica gave one last
squeal and passed out.
Erica awoke to Sandy gently wiping a wet cloth along her forehead.
"Wha...wha.. what happened? Did it work? Did I change?"
"You changed, but not like you hoped." Sandy said sadly.
"What do you mean? How then?" Erica sat up and took appraisal of her
body.
She was still a she - proud breasts jutted off her chest like a couple of
cantaloupe. Where she had had a respectable rack before was now a mammary
miracle. Well shaped, but huge by her perspective. Looking around her
breasts, (a problem now) she noted long legs corded with muscle. Standing
up, she was surprised to find out she now towered over Sandy and Brad by
at least a foot, estimating her height at nearly seven feet tall. Looking
at her arms and hands, they were clearly a woman's arms, but a woman that
could arm wrestle a grizzly bear. She bolted for the bathroom and the
full length mirror, taking account of all of the changes. Her face, so
soft and feminine before now was more cut, still gorgeous, but with an
edge. From what she could see, she was the perfect specimen of an Amazon
princess...with red hair.
As she continued to look at herself, Sandy came up behind her. "There's
something else."
"What? What else could there possibly be?" Erica began to tremble, edging
closer towards losing her composure.
"This - this 'appeared' after you passed out," Sandy was holding a purse
out to her.
Erica took the purse and opened it. Inside were the items you would
normally find in any purse, including a wallet with a snap closure. She
opened the wallet, and found herself looking at a drivers license with
her picture on it. "Erica Parker". Looking further, she found a Vertex
Software ID, Social Security Card, Library card, and pictures! All of
which had her her name, and in her current form. "What does this mean?"
Sandy looked at her sadly, "I think it means you're stuck, like this,
forever. There was also this..." She was holding out an envelope.
Inside was a note:
"Dear Eric, or rather Erica,
I told you not to buy the razors. I don't expect you ever stopped to
consider that an impetuous decision made in the heat of the moment EVER
leads to an undesirable consequence. I think you realize that now.
Had you taken the time to read the instructions on any of the items that
you or Sandy bought, you would have been able to avoid the predicament
you find yourself in now. Sandy is correct. Because you mixed the magic
from the razors, the gel, and the tanning cream, you are now in the form
you will occupy for the rest of your life. Because your form is a result
of powerful magic, you will not age at a normal rate - roughly one year
for every seven years that pass. You are also incredibly strong - be
careful with your strength, and ensure that you rest between
extraordinary uses of it. I encourage you to make the most of it, for the
good of mankind.
Because I am not without compassion, I have arranged for a shift in
reality to accommodate your new "identity". With the exception of Brad
and Sandy, everyone else who knew you or knows you only remembers you as
you are now. I have provided you with identification, and other
necessities; no small task young lady!
As for Sandy and Brad, they have a choice. Sandy can wait for the effects
of the tanning cream to wear off, and become female again. Or, with a
second application, the effects will become permanent. Like you, should
Sandy decide to make the effects "reality", I will make the same
arrangements for "her" as I did for you.
As for Brad, he also has some thinking to do. He knows of what I speak. A
second session with the razors would have the same effects as the cream.
Enough said.
As a last help to you, I will tell you that your "co-op" is not what he
seems. He's a talented programmer from one of your competitors sent to
sabotage your project and the contract. Deal with him as you see fit. But
please, make it interesting.
I have other "gifts" for you, if you choose to accept them. If you do,
take the included flyer to any mall, and look for my shop. It'll be
there.

Erica looked up, "What 'gifts'? What do you think he means by that?"
Erica trod over to the door, and opened it. Well, tried to open it.
Actually the door came off its hinges with a huge crack. "OMYGOD! Did you
see what I did? It came off in my hand like a piece of paper."
"Holy crap! Look at that! Eric er Erica, your strength must be
incredible!" Brad exclaimed as he watched Erica gently place the door
back in its frame.
Sandy was speechless. First Eric had been turned into a red-headed
bombshell, then into this amazon "superhero". What part was she going to
play in Erica's future? Certainly not as Eric's fianc? - at least not in
the normal sense of the word. At this point Sandy wasn't even sure there
was a place in Erica's life for him - her - whatever. Sandy began to tear
up as the realization began to really sink in.
Brad heard Sandy sniffling and glanced over. Erica noticed at the same
time and put her arm (gently!) around Sandy's shoulders. On impulse, she
leaned down and picked Sandy up as easily as if he weighed no more than a
few pounds. Sandy immediately began squirming and grunting in alarm,
while Brad began giggling at the site of an "Amazon princess" holding an
"Ahhnold" wannabe like he was a 2 year old.
"Put me DOWN! Ahh!" Sandy exclaimed - and Erica put her back down. "What
did you do that for?" he asked.
"Two reasons - one, I wanted to see if I could, and secondly, it looked
like you could use a 'pick-me-up'. So I did." Erica gave a small grin
and Brad began groaning.
Sandy joined him, punching Erica in the arm. "That was bad - but what are
we going to do now? You can't very well go out looking like this! And
what's gonna happen now! Based on the note, you're stuck like this!
What's gonna happen to us?!"
Erica sat down on the couch, looking thoughtful. Well, first, we gotta
find this wizard guy. Closest mall is the little strip mall around the
corner. Maybe the flyer will work there. The old man's got to have some
answers and maybe we can find a way out of this.
Dan Brinette sat back in his chair at New Concepts software. Playing the
part of a co-op student at Vertex had paid off in spades, not to mention
lots of Benjamins, as he smuggled the code out of Vertex for Parker's big
project, leaving behind remnants of his own which would guarantee the
code would never compile, much less run. He glanced at the morning paper
- some story on page 1 about some new vigilante taking down crime bosses
all over the city. Some 7 foot tall red-headed bombshell with super
strength, among other things. Ah well, a nut for every season. The
important thing is that Parker hadn't been seen in weeks, and neither had
his partner - Wilkes. Funny how his new secretary had the same last name
- he'd have to ask Brenda if she was related.
Brenda - now she was a hottie. He punched his intercom button, "Ms.
Wilkes, can you come in here for a second? I need you to take some notes
for my meeting later with Mr. Adams, and bring me a cup of coffee won't
you?"
"Certainly Mr. Brinette, right away." Brenda's voice didn't so much
transmit through the intercom as it "oozed", giving Dan goose pimples.
He glanced up as she came into the room, carrying a cup of coffee. He
resisted the urge to whistle as she slid up to the desk and leaned over
to place the coffee near him. Her low cut blouse left little to the
imagination. He couldn't believe his luck - after being promoted to
junior vice-president for his scoring Parker's project, and the next
thing to stealing the Adams contract he had contacted the secretary pool
to have them send him someone. Being low on the totem pole, he thought
he'd end up with some grandmother type. Instead, this bombshell had shown
up two days ago, and while maybe a little inexperienced, she seemed very
intelligent and very capable.
"Where would you like me to sit, Mr. Brinette?" Brenda fairly breathed at
him.
"Um, how about, on the couch?" Dan fairly squeaked the last word.
"Okay. Are you going to join me?" Brenda asked, turning up a corner of
her mouth. She sat down with her steno pad and tucked her beautiful legs
underneath her.
"Umm, okay. Just let me get something here." He fumbled around,
pretending to dig around in his desk, while in reality he was trying to
arrange his raging hard-on so it didn't show so much. He walked over to
the couch, fairly crouched over.
"Are you okay Mr. Brinette? Do you have a cramp? Something stiff?" Brenda
asked, knowingly.
"Sort of - heh heh. Sorry." Dan sat down on the couch and looked at
Brenda, who was now nibbling on the eraser of her pencil. 'Dear God,
don't let me get brought up on charges of harassment,' he thought to
himself, as he drew closer to Brenda. "Okay, let's see, where do we get
started?" Dan took a deep drink of his coffee, burning his tongue, and
managed to spill some on his tie.
"Oh dear, let me take care of that for you..." Brenda reached in her
purse and pulled out a handkerchief. "This used to belong to a friend of
mine. He gave it to me when he changed his wardrobe." She leaned in close
to Dan to blot his tie, rubbing her ample bosom over Dan's arm. "There,
that ought to do the trick. Coffee too hot sir? You're sweating.."
"No, it's quite alright - in fact it's got a unique flavor. What is it?"
Dan asked, pulling his collar open. It felt like 200 degrees in the room.
"Well, the coffee's just Maxwell House, but it does have a special
ingredient in it. Something to loosen you up. So loose in fact, you might
notice you're having trouble moving at all."
While she was talking, Dan noticed that his limbs had begun to get very
heavy, and that he couldn't really lift them at all. "Wha..wha...what's
going on?" He asked, beginning to panic.
"Shhhh, it's better if you don't talk. Makes it harder to shave you."
Brenda produced an opened back of pink razors, and what looked like
shaving gel. "Sorry to do this to you - you're very cute - but cheaters
never prosper Dan. Didn't your Mommy tell you it wasn't nice to steal?
Now quiet, because we have to get you ready for your meeting with Mr.
Adams!" Brenda got up and went into Dan's private bathroom, returning
with a towel.
"Now that you're still, we can get you shaved nice and close for your
meeting. Won't that be nice?"
Two weeks later....
Erica chuckled as she looked at the morning paper. "Major Scandal at New
Concepts. Female Impersonator Accused of Corporate Espionage at Vertex
Software." The article went on to describe a frantic man with the head of
a beautiful woman who claimed to be Dan Brinette spilling his guts about
corporate sabotage and espionage, under the condition that "keep that
crazy bitch away from him." Unfortunately for Dan, there was no record of
a Brenda Wilkes working for anyone, much less New Concepts. In fact, it
seemed that such a person didn't exist. Vertex software had been awarded
the Adams contract again, and New Concepts was in the toilet.
"You know, it'd be nice if this stuff all wore off at the same time..."
Erica turned and was immediately beset by a convulsive fit of giggles and
laughter. She was looking at her best friend Brad, who was currently a
"man between worlds" so to speak. Much of his upper torso was still
female, including most of his neck. From the top of the neck up, he was
"mostly" Brad, except for the hair. His arms, and legs were male, but the
hands and feet were female. His crotch was the most interesting - he had
one testicle and what appeared to be both a vagina and a penis. Nothing
fit him - neither the female attire he'd been wearing for the past week,
nor his normal male attire; so he opted for the androgynous sweatpants
and sweatshirt look.
"Oh sure, laugh it up. At least I'm not stuck looking like something off
of the cover of a Dungeons and Dragons Player Handbook. Have you come up
with a name yet? Or are you gonna stick with the 'Amazon Princess'? Must
be nice to be able to lift a car above your head." Brad snickered as he
regarded his nearly 7 foot tall giantess best friend.
"I dunno - maybe. Got a nice ring to it don't you think? In any case,
it's pretty clear I can't go by 'Eric' anymore. Nice of Mr. Corouthers to
let me telecommute. I don't know how much longer I'll be doing software
now though." Erica had managed to inject herself into society as
something of a superheroine, and was beginning to have some ideas of how
to make a living.
"Just be careful hon. I don't want to think I went through all of this
for nothing," Sandy said as he came into the room from the kitchen. He
looked much the same, except for his face, which he had apparently
finished off with the tanning cream. "Nice of the old man to give us new
identities along with our nifty powers." Sandy had also become super
strong, as a man, and with Erica "stuck" the way she was, Sandy had opted
to make her changes permanent as well. Together, they'd already foiled
several bank robberies, and received nice honorariums from the city.
Brad snickered, "Well, you two make quite a pair. I'm sure you'll figure
it all out. One thing's for certain, it'll be interesting in this town
for a while!"
The crystal ball went dark as the old man draped the purple cloth over
it. He sat back with a thoughtful expression on his face, wondering if
he'd done the right thing, unleashing two superheroes on the world -
there could only be one eventuality - super villains to challenge them.
Brad was right - the town was going to be a lot more interesting. Might
do to set up shop for a little longer.
