I decided quickly that there was no point whatsoever in trying to run, and
enjoyed the walk whilst it lasted. I felt excited at the prospect of being
let off the island, and had mixed feelings about it. I wondered what my
new life would be like and if I could turn it to my advantage. Of course I
was still privately furious about the unasked-for and unwanted surgery,
and the thought of someday having to be somebody's boyfriend turned me
right off. I doubted my captors would allow me to become a lesbian. I had
to admit to myself that in some ways, however, they had done me a favour.
They had cured me of my alcoholism, and as long as I never touched a drop
of alcohol in my life I would be free of that taint. They had not forced
me to make love to anybody and had said nothing at all about a boyfriend
or husband in my future. Perhaps they were keeping it from me as a nasty
surprise, or perhaps I was to be free to an extent to choose who would be
my boyfriend in the future. Also, it was clear that I was to be a member
of a rich family.
Perhaps one or more in the family knew the secret and just wanted his or
her daughter back so much that they had me kidnapped to take her place.
But if that were the case, why would they kidnap a homeless male and spend
so much time and trouble and money feminising and training him? I could
see why they could not have another rich girl grabbed off the street-the
police would have been all over the place trying to solve the case. But
surely it might have been possible to kidnap a middle class girl, who
would be both female in the first place and easier to train.
The next morning my guards and Dr Fellows awakened me. "Good morning,
Rosemary. Today you will no doubt be very pleased to know that your
training is over and you will be going home. Your family thought that you
came back from a year at a very expensive finishing school to learn how to
be a proper lady, and in a way they were absolutely right. You will of
course do and say nothing that could betray who you really are, or you
will be thought insane and sent away to a private lunatic asylum, one that
I am the Director of. You really do not want that to happen."
"Besides, you'll enjoy your new life more then you ever did as a male.
Most of it anyway. I'll be coming along with you as the resident doctor
and psychiatrist and we will have a talk once a fortnight. Blindfold her.
You may take the blindfold off once the private jet we are going on has
safely taken off. In an hour we will arrive at a small private airstrip
and from there a limousine will take you to your new home. I think you'll
love it. One day you will be grateful for what we did to you."
I rolled my eyes under the blindfold and allowed myself to be led outside
and onto the plane. When the plane took off and I was allowed to take the
blindfold off, I found that it was late at night and I could see nothing
outside but the darkness. I flew over the lights of a major city and then
the plane landed and I was taken outside to where a black Rolls Royce
awaited my captors and me. When it drove into the grounds of the mansion
that I was going to live in, I gasped at the size and the opulence of
where I was going to live. (Opulence being a word I didn't know existed
until my captors told me what it meant.) My captors led the way to my
bedroom and I fell asleep wondering what the next day would bring.
The next day I woke up and for a horrible moment I thought I was back on
the island.
Then I remembered what had happened and looked around for something to
wear. My wardrobe was filled with all kinds of clothing, far more from the
few things I had to choose during my captivity. I selected some blue
slacks, a T-shirt and a purple shirt, brushed my long brown hair until it
shone, and opened my jewellery box. After gazing at the jewellery inside I
selected a gold ring set with emeralds, emerald earrings and a matching
emerald necklace, and headed down to explore my new home.
As I wandered through room after room, I decided that maybe it was not so
bad being a daughter of such a rich family. "Hi Princess." I turned around
to see the man who was my new father and smiled, like my trainers had
trained me to do. I even gave him a little curtsy and he smiled. "You look
good today. That finishing school really has made a proper lady of you."
If only you knew, I thought angrily to myself, but was careful to keep any
hint of my true feelings. He planted a little kiss on my forehead and I
smiled and resisted the urge to wipe it away. "Are you looking forward to
the ball tonight, Rosemary?" I nodded. "Of course I am." I said in the new
voice they had given me. "There is going to be a judge's son there named
Paul," he said, "and he's interested in you."
"Don't worry, I'll give him a chance." My insides felt like they were
turning over at the thought of having to dance with a boy and probably
having to let him kiss me. But I'd have to do it or it would look
suspicious and I felt sure I would be watched. There was no way out of it.
Besides, I doubted, as it was a formal dance that anything nasty would
happen. I went back upstairs to my computer. I had been warned that it was
bugged but wanted to know just how much free access I had to the Internet.
I soon found that there were no restrictions at all, but there was no way
I was going to risk calling for help, even if someone would believe me.
My new father called up to me. "Rosemary, it's time to dress for the ball.
Don't be late."
