I sat in my car intentionally a few blocks from the wig shop in a small
town where I knew no one.
I dug the white panties out of the shopping bag and removed them from
their package. I pulled out the nude sheer pantyhose out of the bag and
carefully tore open the package and removed the cardboard inserts. I
pulled all the tags off my new dress. I pulled the tags off my new
shoes. A pair of black flats. I pushed the seat back in the car and
removed all of my clothes. I had to move quickly, I did not want to be
seen naked in the car. I slid the panties up my freshly smooth legs. I
quickly tossed the size 8 dress over my head. I still wasn't sure if I
was getting the right sizes, but it seemed to fit perfectly. I pulled
the bottom of the dress up around my waist and grabbed the pantyhose. I
neatly gathered them up carefully and slide my toes into the first foot
pulling them just about to the knee. I carefully did the same with the

I ran my hands up and down them a couple of times enjoying the feeling of

exhilarating. I plopped the black flats into the floorboard of the car
and slid my feet into them. I searched the bag for the lipstick and
blush, that was all I bought that day. My heart began to race. I took
one quick deep breath and opened the car door.
I stepped out onto the pavement and felt the wonderful breeze on my bare
legs. It was a beautiful, yet slightly cool day in the spring. The
dress had a Peter Pan collar, a dark navy blue(possibly black) background
with medium sized colorful flowers all over it. Now that I think of it,
I was sporting a very school teacher look that day.
I walked around the corner, a young man feminized in a dress, a man
dressed casual for business talked to a woman out at the edge of the
sidewalk near the street. As I walked by them, they barely noticed me.
They kept on about their conversation without even breaking a beat. They
were so lost in their own world that it must have just registered as a
young lady walking by them. If they had turned to take a good luck at
me, I'm not sure what reaction they would have had. To this day, I still
wonder about that. I continued to walk. My heart was pounding in my
chest. Yet, I was able to ignore it and continue on. I opened the door
to the small wig shop on the end of the block. The woman working the
store, I believe the shop owner appeared to be in her mid fifties. If
she was startled by a man in a dress, she barely showed it. She said
something to the affect of, "Good afternoon, how can I help you?" "I
need a good wig." She asked what my natural hair color was and suggested
a wig close to that color. She asked me if I saw anything I liked. I
did. It was a medium length straight brown wig with highlights. It was
a very simple wig. She sat me down in a salon chair. She used a pick
and brushed the wig out a little. She moved a couple of adjustable tabs
on the inside. She had me pull my head forward and flipped the wig
backward into place on my head. She explained as she went on how to
properly put on the wig. She told me how the wig was made with real
human hair.
I looked into the mirror. The man in the dress was gone. A young lady
sat in his place. She had never looked so good. This was not a burly
man in a dress and wig. This was a woman of feminine beauty. The owner
of the shop teased my new hair with a pick fluffing and raising it at the
top. She told me I should think about earrings to help complete my look.
I began to realize why it took women so long to get ready for a date.
When the hairs were perfectly in place and I looked as perfect as she
could make me, she sprayed something to keep the wig in place. The cost
didn't matter, there was no doubt I was buying the wig. She suggested
buying a styrofoam head to make it easier to style the wig before I put
it on. I liked the suggestion and bought the head. She didn't say much
as I left. Possibly, she might have told me to have a good day. I don't
believe she asked me to, "Come again." It would be a long time before I
would need to go back anyway. I loved my new hair. I had walked into the
shop a feminized sissy man in a dress. I walked out a beautiful young
woman. As I left, the man who had been talking to the women was still
standing on the corner. He was by himself now, but a nearby shop door
was open and he seemed to be having a conversation with someone inside
the shop. As I walked by him, he looked up and smiled politely nodding
his head to the nice young woman in the conservative dress. I wasn't
even worried about being found out at this point. I knew that I was
passable. I walked back to my car and got in. I sat there for awhile
admiring the girl in the mirror. I don't even remember what else I did
that day, but something changed the way I crossdressed that day. I now
was determined to be as passable as possible and I would go to every
length I could to make sure I wore the right outfits, the right makeup
and of course, the right wig to pass in public.
