Tracker Scout Trainer

The idea was simple, they needed ways to prepare the Tracker Scouts for
the IGPT Academies. Serena Derrell had herself graduated from the
Terrellian Academy. At the time of her graduation though, the only
position open for her on one of the Transports was as a Liaison Officer.
After her ten years, she transferred home to become a Guardian Commander.
She'd served her Queen loyally for another ten years, helping her to get
not just Draconians but Demonians and other races accepted as full
members of the Intergalactic Police Forces.
She'd been lobbying for her Queen on Omega Seven for a more active role
of the Tracker Scouts after they'd all come together on Iridani to help
with restoring Snarl. The Academy Students had been hard pressed to pull
things together on Tagoli after their police force had been found to be
corrupt. She was pushing for the creation of a training Transport, she'd
even offered to pay for it herself.
She soon found herself with a lot more support than she knew when
Commander Lash offered her endorsement. She was unaware that the other
Transports had watched her presentation before the Intergalactic Court
System. Their own endorsements of her plan had swayed the decision. She
was ordered to Terrellia Four, she thought, to speak before the Academy
there.
Standing in the bleachers behind Daisy, Reno, Tessa and Cord she heard
their own proposal.
It was after they had left that she was summoned to the Terrellian Queens
private chambers.
"Serena, we have met with Nefra, Kasha and the rest in reference to your
request. Mr Nimbus, if you would please?" the Kelvin stepped forward
expanding the view screen.
"Through agreements with Her Majesty Nefraititi, we have agreed to let
you use the base for the TL Mark Five, however the exterior design we
feel should be original to Draconia," stated Mr Nimbus.
Shocked now, she dug out her doodles and presented them. "I was thinking
something like this."
As the meeting ended she was asked to pick her training staff, the Queens
would have them reassigned. And they would meet her on Kelvin Nine to
begin tweaking their design. The biggest change was the addition of the
Driver Training Hard Drive, it would register the DNA of drivers in
training, then keep score forwarding it to the appropriate Academy.
The summer months would be spent teaching selected Tracker Scouts. The
rest of the year was dedicated to training the Cadets for their first
assignments.
Mordina and Lorissa were excited as got to oversee the construction with
her. They chose their Training Cadre carefully, having them sent to
Draconia to meet up for the initial assignment.
Each training officer was highly decorated as well proficient in their
area of expertise. Further they were from a mix of Races, and quickly
formed into a first rate crew. The rest would be filled out by Scouts and
Cadets as needed.

Pulling to a stop in front of the Palace the trainers filed off as she
began calling out the names of the four lucky Scouts.
"Well what are you waiting for Tracker Scout, Load it up. We still have a
long way to go before we get to Earth," she said.
The next stop along the way was Lyconia, then Terrellia, Demonia, and
Omega Seven. The other Tracker Scouts were being gathered at those four
locations to make it easier.
She was pleased to see how quickly the Scouts fell into routines, and
accepted the new arrivals at each stop. They weren't as laxed as newly
graduated Cadets, they were attentive and eager to learn every aspect.
'Now let's see how they do with Traffic Control,' she mused as they
prepared to make a refuel stop on Lyconia before picking up the next
batch.
Captain Dante had been drilling them in deploying their traffic control
devices called Traffic Control Force Barriers, or 'TCFB's.
Each Scout was dropped off with a seasoned trainer who observed as they
made their way to the center of the freeway, then facing the appropriate
direction stood the little red pole in its stand before activating it.
The result was string of holographic warnings to slow down and prepare to
stop. The force barrier was a protective force field around the Scout
directing traffic. All the scouts were in place, before scout at the
wheel pulled off the highway and up to the fuel pumps. the nightly news
was filled with footage of them as they made their way from the portal to
the Palace.
Stepping off now, she was greeted by Natani. "Commander, would you care
to tell the public what design your Transport is?"
"Yes Ma'am, the Talon, is the very first Draconian Load Star. I hope to
see more on the freeway soon," she smiled.
"As do I, Commander. God speed and Safe travels."
They'd just changed drivers again, this new girl was clearly nervous
about shooting her first Portal. She sat back and watched as they began
to gain speed heading for the Portal.
