when I say time spent en femme is often time spent alone. But as one

In 2008 I took a vacation in a quaint little town. A week in a rustic
cabin a short drive from the town center. An old fashioned ice cream
stand, a cute little movie theatre, and the great outdoors were the main
offerings. A two hour drive away was a larger city with a mall and more
civilization. So to start my vacation it's off to JC Penney!
I love Ambrielle bras. On this trip, I found one with no padding, just
thin stretchy cups. When I wear it there's no increase in bust size.
It is completely invisible under a button down shirt. It has an
underwire, so it does shape the male breast tissue I do have, and it fit
perfectly, so I bought it with a couple pairs of matching panties. On
my way out I went by the jeans, and decided to try my luck. I found a
pair of skinny jeans that would not fully hug the shape of my legs, so I
took a few pair into the men's dressing room and tried them on with the
panties. A perfect fit. My butt looked great in them! I was on a
roll! I made my purchases, took them to the restroom and put on my new
bra and panties under my man clothes. Ah, what a great feeling!
Driving back, I passed by a drug store and felt my luck was unbeatable,
so I stopped in. I selected a nice very pale pink fingernail polish and
grabbed a bottle of remover. I strode up to the counter where a young
teen girl waited on me. She picked up the nail polish and looked at it
for a moment. She got a little smile on her lips and said, "This is for
you, isn't it?" I thought I was going to pass out! I stammered
something unintelligible while turning what must have been a darker
shade of pink than my new polish. She rang me up, handed me the bag and
said, "I think it will look good on you." She was laughing as I walked
away.
Wow. Embarrassed as I could possibly be, I quickly made it to my car
and drove away. The rest of the day I thought everyone I went past was
staring at me and knew what I was doing.
I got back, and unpacked my new things. I also had brought a pair of
short shorts, a padded bra, a couple low cut tops and some other items
with me. I had a light meal, got into my nightgown, and went to sleep.
The cabin was a deal. Part of the bargain is that there is no cleaning
service, and minimal sheets and other linens. The next day I donned my
short shorts, padded bra, and a nice pink top. I applied a coat of the
polish to my toenails to see how it would look. After one coat, I could
not tell I was wearing polish. Aside from looking a little shiny, there
seemed to be little color to notice. I applied several more coats
before I had a very noticeable pink color to my toenails. Usually, I
only do my toenails, and keep a pair of Crocs handy in case someone
comes by, but since one coat was barely noticeable, I applied it to my
fingernails. I stopped after two coats, and felt that anyone who looked
might or might not notice the color, but they were glossy, which gave it
away. I wasn't expecting any company, so I got to work on the cleaning.
A few hours of scrubbing and washing all the sheets and towels made the
place quite nice. I made up the bed and took a shower. It was getting
late, so I used the polish remover on my fingernails, got dressed in my
new bra and panties, put my male clothes on and went to the little
grocery store in town. Driving in, I noticed a little consignment shop
and I saw that the movie (yes, only one screen) playing was Mamma Mia!
The ABBA movie! How did I not know that was playing? A plan started to
form in my head.
The next day I hit the consignment shop. After searching a while I
found a women's crew neck top in red and white, and a women's button
down long sleeve shirt that was more unisex with no bust stitching and
one size larger than I usually wore as a man. I took them home and
washed them along with my new bra and panties. I still had the polish
on my toenails, but I touched it up and put a single coat of polish on
my fingernails. I put on my new bra and panties, the red and white top,
and my new skinny jeans. Looking at my reflection I could see bra lines
under the top, and saw that the polish on my toes could not be missed.
The butt on the jeans was clearly form fitting, and if that wasn't
enough, the back pocket design was clearly feminine. I put on the
button down shirt, leaving it unbuttoned, and that mostly covered the
bra lines and my butt and pockets. The crocs covered my toenails. Now,
looking in the mirror, I could see I was dressed completely as a female,
but didn't think anyone who saw me would immediately know that. I
slipped my drivers license and some cash in my back pocket and headed
for town.
I timed my arrival for the late movie. I arrived just as twilight was
darkening the sky. I strolled around town and made it to the theatre
and bought my ticket. Another teen girl was selling the movie tickets,
and she gave me a bit of a strange look. I don't know if the lights
from the ticket booth reflected off my polish, or if she spotted the
clothes for what they are, but fortunately she just sold me a ticket and
said nothing. I went inside to a lobby filled with females and realized
the ticket girl probably wondered why a single male was going to see
this movie.
Packed in waiting for the first movie to get out, I wound up chatting
with others waiting to get in. Almost everyone was near my age: old
enough to remember ABBA but not old enough to have seen them perform.
This was our chance to get as close to that as we could. And for that I
was taking this big chance. In a packed room wearing nothing but female
clothing. If anyone looked at the buttons on the shirt, they would
realize they were on the wrong side of the shirt! If anyone brushed up
against my back they might feel the straps of my bra. If they looked
closely at the red and white shirt where the button down hung open,
would they notice the bra under the relatively tight top? Was I wrong
about the nail polish on my fingernails, and everyone knew I was wearing
it? It seemed forever as all these thoughts went through my brain
before the first showing let out and we were allowed in.
Somehow I wound up going in with the first group and took an aisle seat
a little less than half way back. When I thought no one else was likely
to come in, I slipped off my Crocs and set my pretty painted toes free.
The previews started, and it was getting stuffy in this crowded old
theater , so I decided to take off the outer shirt. Just as I put it on
the back of my seat, a group of women stopped at my aisle and asked to
be let in! Stepping out into the aisle with no cover up and my toes
uncovered, they filed past and one of them sat right next to me! She
turned to me and said, "Isn't this exciting?" If only she knew! Even
being what I thought to be fully exposed, the room must have been dark
enough, or the film prevented my neighbor from examining me too closely,
because no one said a word about my clothing. At any rate the film
ended without incident, unless you count my entire row singing along to
Dancing Queen, and we all got up to file out. I quickly slipped on my
Crocs and the shirt and joined the others draining out into the street.
Walking back to my car, I went right by the ice cream shop. They had a
little window where you can buy a cone without going in, so I got one
and enjoyed it as I strolled in the night air. I had done it! I had
been dressed in nice feminine clothes, doing ordinary things among
others who either never noticed, or didn't care. What an incredible
feeling! I had underdressed many times in the past, but this was
another level completely. The feeling of peace and joy was amazing. I
strolled more until the crowds started to thin. It was a Wednesday, so
people were heading in early. After sitting on a bench on Main Street
watching the cars go by for a while, I got in my car and went back to
camp. The hiking and other activities I had gone for took up most of
the rest of the week. I did go into town wearing my same outfit again
Saturday night before going home, but the crowd was different, and I
didn't feel as safe as I had before, so couldn't really relax and enjoy
myself.
So once again I had spent time en femme, talking and interacting with
regular people doing regular things.
It was one of the happiest days of my life.
