The Malissaverse is a collection of parallel universes called Quadrants
connected by an Intergalactic Freeway. In each Quadrant the primary
species determines the name of the Quadrant. At the center of the
universes is Iridani Five, also known as First Home.
Intergalactic Freeway;
A series of Stabilized wormholes that stretch and branch out through the
stars between planets, systems and Parallel Universes known as
Quadrants. Access to the Freeway is governed by a series of Jump Portals
that open to the nearest point along the freeway.
(Important Cautionary Notice; the use of Intergalactic Freeway Portals
has been attributed to DNA Alterations made during the Health and Mental
Status Scans conducted during a Portal Transition, aka, shooting a
portal to the Freeway. As a result Transgendered Persons soon find they
no longer need HRT. It does not, no matter how many times you shoot a
portal, Completely Alter a person's Gender.)
Jump portals consist of six pairs of Kertiplar Cylinders, unless a
vehicle is capable of traveling the Freeway the first pair, the
activation Cylinders, will not activate. The second pair is an occupant
scan where all parasites and non-authorized harmful pests are
exterminated, the third pair actually reads the destination if there is
more than one accessible Freeway section available, normal Jump Portals
only open to the closest point of access within the same Quadrant.
Phase Portals open access between systems, and Quadrants.
Phase Jump and Road Bug Portals can access the freeway at any
predesignated, programmed access portal. This ability is restricted to
Emergency vehicles, Intergalactic Police Transports and Road Builder
vehicles known as Road Bugs. Note, Road Bugs, Transports and Emergency
Vehicles have the ability to open temporary portals at any point along
the freeway to any other programmed point. This ability comes at a cost
to the drivers and or person in control of the vehicle, Road Bugs are
not affected.
Road Bugs; self-aware road building and maintenance vehicles that
resemble a giant beetle. Broken down, abandoned and vehicles in
violation of the Road Laws are recycled upon contact. There is no
stopping along the freeway, or stopping others for any reason other than
emergencies. Any vehicle that cannot be removed within the allotted time
will be recycled regardless.
Ancients; First descendants of the Creators of the universes.
The ancients disappeared under mysterious circumstances, many races
believed them to be gods even though the Ancients themselves never chose
to be worshipped.
Anterian:
Planet; Antera Six
Anterian's are semi humanoid in that they walk upright on their four
hind legs. They are a species of Giant Ant who have evolved and live
primarily in large mining colonies. The worker females either serve in
the hive Creech, or other services of the hive. Those who have either
passed their usefulness to the hive, or been shunned venture out into
the Universes. Many practice prostitution and are called 'Shill's' as
they have a higher than normal sex drive. Not much is known about the
male workers, or the drones who serve the Queen's breeding needs. In
contradiction to Earth Ants, all Anterian females are fertile, they also
have the ability to cross breed with other races/species.
Ardivarian:
Ardivaria;
A race of humanoid Insect eating Furry's. Though they were primarily
insect eaters, they have evolved to the point they are able to exist on
regular food. They are shy, yet very intelligent. Most will not speak
unless they feel comfortable. Their normal method of communication is
through the universal sign language.
Avian:
Home planet; Aviara
Humanoid in appearance, they are a winged race that is often confused by
human's to be Angels. They are born generally as Hermaphrodites and
generally develop into either male or female upon reaching puberty. As
with birds the young grow quickly in the first two to three years until
they are the same in age appearance and development as a five year old
human. Males generally lose their female parts by the time they stop
their rapid growth. Females experience a shrinking of the penis into a
larger than average Clitoris, but some still retain the ability to get
erections and become Bisexual. It is believed that their development
from birth to puberty is a means of maintaining the balance between
males and females, the current reported population has a ratio of one
male to six females.
Generally Females are not permitted to leave the planet without their
Male Spouse. Those that do have either been shunned by their family or
are runaways from their own society, regardless it is rare to see a
single Female off planet who has not had her wings clipped, (the Flight
Tendons either severed of restricted by metal clips).
Aquarian: also known as Merr's
Home system; Aquarius, Planets; Aquaria, Mophra, Oceana, Tide Water
Appearance; Human with Gills behind their ears and webbing between
fingers and toes. Some tend to have a slightly greenish tint to their
skin. Most require a breather tube to increase the amount of moisture
being inhaled when out of water for extended periods of time, usually
one to two days.
Centaur:
Sagittarius System; Half Human, Half Equine. Very intelligent yet very
primitive in their cultural system. They in communities known as Herds.
Larger herds are led by a Spirit Woman, smaller herds are led by the
strongest Stallion or in some instances, the strongest Mare. Apart from
the herds are the outcasts, called Nongen's, or Non-Genders. Weak and
usually smaller than average Stallions who either choose to take the
feminizing Herb, Fembanna. Or are forced by the Herd to become a Nongen
and serve the lessor Stallions as Concubines. In most herds they are
outcast if not serving as the herd concubine. Note; the legal breeding
age, (age of Sexual Consent) as with most of the other Quadrants is
fourteen.
The Quadrant is led by the Spirit Women's Council which meets each year
or when needed to deal with problems.
Delphinian:
Appear humanoid with larger jaws and exceptionally long Canine teeth
called Fangs or Tusks, their skin has earthy tones ranging from Dark
Brown to a leafy greenish in color. Many are nomadic Raiders and Road
Bandits, but the majority are peaceful. The few settlements and fuel
stops along their portions of the Freeway are inhabited and run by off
worlder's while the natural inhabitants tend to live in settlements in
the forests.
The Delphi Quadrant has been on probation but not cut off due the large
number of interchanges between other Quadrants. It has the only Freeway
interchange to the Ballybron System where the Interstellar Drive
Crystals are harvested.
Demonian:
Home System; Demonia Prime, Demonia three (Halcion), Demonia Four, the
Battifore Rim and the Eclipse System
Demonian's, also called 'Succubus' are human in appearance with a
slightly reddish or pink tint to their skin unless Agitated or Thirsty,
then it becomes dark red. They inject Endorphins when they bite, which
create a euphoric effect. Also they can read a person's memories and
thoughts through a single bite.
Demonians are not born blood drinkers. That comes with Puberty when they
either develop into Sime's or Gen's. Sime's develop a thirst for blood
and require only a small amount on a regular basis, with a full feeding
every one to two months. Usually they hunt animals when needing a full
feeding but it is not unheard of for them to hunt criminals. Also Sime's
develop leathery wings between puberty and adulthood at the age of
twenty four, most also develop the ability to shape shift to hide their
wings.
Gen's become feeders, not as strong or fast, but very respected. Some
Sime's and Gen's develop a special Bond which allows them to not require
outside feeders or time to recuperate between feedings. These pairs are
very rare and highly respected.
The Planet Demonia Three is also known as Halcion. It is the location of
one of the most secure Intergalactic Prisons. The surface is fairly
barren with a varied range of predators. The most dominant being the
Gambichow.
Gambichow's are telepathic with a natural ability to teleport. However
when bonded with a person, generally a Demonian, they rarely teleport
without their Bondmate. The bonding process called 'Impression' only has
a window of a few weeks once the young are weened. All Gambichow's are
born female, seeking a Male of another compatible species. Until
recently, no one has ever seen a Male Gambichow. (See Malissa's Academy
20, for the account of the first siting.)
Draconian:
Home system; Dracosa, all thirty two inhabitable planets.
Draconian's are pale with a slightly golden shine to their skin which
tends to sparkle in sunlight. They inject Endorphins in their venomous
bites as they feed. One venom is euphoric the other is a neuro toxin
that causes temporary paralysis. Through evolutionary development they
no longer need to kill when feeding. Those who do either hunt food
animals or are branded as Criminals and hunted down by their own
society.
Drider:
Iridani System with the exception of Iridani Five. They are a sub-race
of the Phase Spiders
Spider Drider; half Human/half Spider
Scorpion Drider; half Human/half Scorpion. Always born in sets of twins;
one male, one female.
The Driders were the first Guardians of the Ancients.
First Beings: first races created or advanced by the ancients.
Ash' iwi, or A'shiwi; only four pureblood Ash' iwi remain at the
beginning of the stories, though each culture has their own name for
them.
Bio-Ships; Bio-Mechanical Interstellar ships created of living metal.
They have the ability to breed with each other to create new ships, as
well as to join with non-living Machines to create Self-aware Bio-
Machines like the Bio-Trucks of the first Intergalactic Convoy from
Earth.
Dragons; Peace Keepers of the Ancients. Dragons have the ability to
shapeshift.
Loki; Building Race of first beings resembling Praying Mantises they
turned on the Ancients and other First Beings seeking to control all the
universes. Note: the Loki were led by Cylon, a Loki who mated with an
Ash' iwi to create a Hybrid named Lucinda Regent who often used the
alias Janet Riggs and coerced the First Queen of the Phase Spiders to
help her father. Mildred Regent was the leader of the Regent Family of
Ash' iwi who created the Bio-Ships.
Phase Spiders; giant Widow Spiders who live in Hive type communities and
command the ability to Phase jump to any destination they choose. There
are currently four sub-races, Black, Brown, Red and Translucent. Their
armies are the warrior race of the first Beings. The female young fight
for dominance, and eventually the most dominant survivor becomes the
Hive Queen when she defeats her mother, or the current Queen steps down.
Unicorns; healers. They are purely neutral with the ability to shape
shift and cast illusions.
Genefren:
Planets; Genefre Two, Three and Five
Humanoid with soft light blue fur, the female teens are called Flirts,
and are driven by a need for rough sex, many do not survive to adulthood
because of this. Males are definitely the lessor of the species as the
ratio is one male to twenty females. Males do not form attachments nor
do they have anything to do with their offspring. As a result the female
run government has taken to contracting out the excess teens to
mercenary units who then train them to be pleasure troops. Upon retiring
at adulthood they return home to start families of their own.
The primary wealth of the system however is Genefren Bright, a plant
that is both highly sought for its healing capabilities as well as its
euphoric properties. Only Genefren Males are immune to its touch, the
current value of the harvested plants is astronomical, 500GPL per ounce.
(GPL - Gold Pressed Latinum, exchange rate 20GC per bar of GPL). The
Genefren Government only accepts GPL as its Primary Currency.
Human's
The most populated Quadrant is the Sol Quadrant, primary Planet- Earth.
Humans however can be found in almost every System and Quadrant.
Believed to be the seed race of the ancients, though Earth humans are
the most unstable and Warring race after the Loki and Skecksies.
Kaidra:
A parallel of Terrellia and Lyconia without the Gender class issues.
However the Kaidran's Feline and Wolf cultures are still struggling for
dominance. They have yet to discover the Skyway and only have one Portal
located on the mining planet Calisto which is the home of the Quadrant
phase Spider Hive.
Kelvinian:
Kelvin Nine; the central Manufacturing Planet, in the system. They
control three small neighboring systems.
Reptilian Humanoid, skin is leathery with very small scales. Adult males
have a reddish pattern, where the females have a blueish pattern. They
are born with a brown skin tone, and neither male nor female. Their
gender is determined during preadulthood and determined by the needs of
their society.
Lyconia:
Lyconian; Wolf/Humanoid
Royal lineage runs through the Yorre family and is Matriarchal.
Mirwiel;
A semi-nomadic humanoid race of traders resembling Weasils. If you think
you got a good deal from a Mirwiel you better count your fingers.
Orion's:
Home; all ninety three planets within the Orion Belt. Seat of the
Intergalactic Legal System is on Omega Seven at the heart of the Orion
System.
Tall, yellowish to light tan skin, dark hair, long fingers, and slender
bodies. Most females emit pheromones when they reach adult hood at
eighteen, until they turn twenty one and develop the ability to control
them. Normal humans have no defense against the attraction of Orion
Pheromones which cause an unexplainable need for sex.
Riticulan/Rixxian:
Rixian System. They are also known as Rikki's. They appear humanoid
though males look more like dried skin stretched over bare skeletons
with a distended abdomen. Females look more like Anorexic human Models
being exceptionally thin. The males receive sexual pleasure from
inflicting pain on others. Often they add to their excitement by forming
hunting parties called 'Snatch Gangs' using a caterpillar like creature
called a Mirrwick to track their prey.
Mirrwicks mate for life and a bonded pair is required to be used, one
mate, usually the male will be with the prey being hunted. Special
licenses are required to possess a pair outside the home system as when
they are concealed, they are virtually undetectable, even to Portal Bio-
scans.
Sauria: Saurian System. Saurians are human in appearance with a very
high sensitivity to Worm Silk. Worm silk creates a euphoric, drugged
effect as well as an uninhibited desire for sex.
Shape Shifters; any being with the ability to change shape and become
another Race. A Genetic trait directly related to the ancients who were
themselves Multiple Shape Shifters. Most shape shifters are only able to
change to one other set shape, usually a human can change to one of the
Furry Races, etc.
Skecksies;
Also known as Droids, are a sub-race of the Loki. Cybernetic Androids
whose purpose is to secure and colonize safe havens for the Loki who
exist within the unknown reaches of space, striking out through the
various Black Holes using stolen Bio-technology.
Tank:
Enhanced Engineered Person (EEP), Invetro, or Cloned persons bred and
grown in Invetro Tanks. Tanks can be of any, or a mix of several races.
They are identified by the invetro uplink scar commonly called a nipple
at the base of their skull. The most derogatory name used for them is
'Nipple Neck'.
Tarsian: Tarsus System;
Humanoid, greyish skin, empathic, very intelligent, yet very few in
population. They are among the highest regarded medical professionals.
Tellurian:
Telluride system, nearly extinct humanoid race appearing much like
Orion's, with a natural telepathic ability. The system was targeted by
the Skecksies being as it is within easy reach of three black holes.
Terrellian:
Terrellian System which includes several subsystems and planets. Shares
a direct border with the Lyconian System.
Terrellian's are feline humanoids, the royal ascension follows a
Matriarchal path, as in any male married to a female within the royal
family will take his wife's last name. The Demure Family has ruled for
centuries. To placate the male population the third Queen of Terrellia
granted the males the right to govern the commerce section. As a result
it became illegal for a female to own real property. However only
females can pilot or drive the ships and trucks. Up until Queen Morella
Demure granted Female's the right to own the starships that only they
could pilot. Most recently, Tarriana broke the Star Driver's Guild by
granting ownership to the females who drive the trucks. The most sought
after trucks in the known Universes are Terrellian and Lyconian. They
are also the most restricted in who they are sold to.
Note: both Lyconia and Terrellia have been chosen to police the
Quadrants. No one knows for sure who or when it was started, since it
began long after the Ancients disappeared. The Police Transports are
built on Kelvin Nine in the same shops that build both the Lyconian Star
Freighters and the Terrellian Mark Class Trucks. The security system for
the Transports is the same as for the Terrellian trucks and Starships,
only a female can imprint and drive one. Most components though are made
in the Tarsus System.
Tagoli:
Tagolian; short between three foot six inches and four foot in height,
greyish skin, very long fingers, and exceptionally large ears. Very
gifted at bargaining, most are sought out to broker larger deals between
species. Tagolian's are considered to control nearly half the Black
Markets in the Settled Quadrants. Also they are credited with having the
most corrupt legal system.
