Chapter 6: Wonderful Tonight
"You look stunning Leanne," said the school sports teacher. "Is
Michael coming?"
Leanne looked round at me with a mischievous look in her eye, as if she
was about to out me to the school sports teacher.
I am sure I must have looked panicked but I tried to look calm as I
passed Leanne a vodka whilst picking a glass of water for myself.
"No, but I'm sure you'll be pleased to see that I brought his sister
Michelle with me," Leanne said turning to bring me into the conversation
and reaching over for me with her right arm which she wrapped round me.
"Wow, you are just as stunning as your sister-in-law, Michelle!" said
the school sports teacher. I wasn't sure whether I, a man dressed as a
woman, should feel insulted to be compared to a beautiful woman like
Leanne or whether Leanne should feel more insulted to be compared to a
man dressed as a woman. Then I thought about it for a moment. He
really hadn't worked out that I am a man had he?
"I'm Phil, by the way. I don't want you or Leanne calling me Mr Roberts
or the sports teacher," said the school sports teacher.
"Mother him," whispered Leanne. "He's got mother abandonment issues.
Can't you see the lost boy in his eyes? Watch."
Leanne brushed some imaginary dirt off Phil's right shoulder and
straightened his rugby shirt. He hadn't put on the most imaginative
Halloween costume. He was dressed as a rugby player. He hadn't even
bothered to dress as a zombie rugby player!
Phil reddened slightly before looking to me for help. I saw the little
boy being dressed for school by his Mum then and somehow I knew what to
do.
I dipped my fingers in my glass of water before rubbing it over his
eyebrows to straighten them. At that point I had decided, I am dressed
as a woman, not many men are obviously as convincing as me, I might as
well have fun with this and see how far I can go.
I poured myself a large vodka. It was time to let go. As a man I would
have remained sober all evening, worried about what people would think
about me otherwise, as a woman I was going to just let go.
I did up two of the three buttons on his rugby shirt before draping
myself around him. But I only did up the buttons so I could open them
up again and put my hand to his chest. I could see he was getting
excited. I kissed him making sure that he had my lipstick all over his
face. Then I wiped it off apart from the lipstick on his lips. It
looked like he had applied it himself.
I checked my look in the compact in my handbag. It was so this season.
I had what they call a "kissed off" lipstick look. Marie Claire and
Vogue had carried articles about this look which I had read earlier.
I draped myself around him again before squeezing his butt as he tried
to speak to Chris, who had just come over. I was amazed and relieved
that Chris didn't recognise me as I looked over at him for a moment and
Phil tried to pretend nothing was happening but couldn't keep a straight
face as I looked at him innocently. Chris was dressed as a zombie. At
least he had made an effort!
Chris seemed to pause for a moment considering whether he had just told
Phil something funny or whether Phil was laughing at him before
continuing to tell Phil whatever he was saying as Phil did his best to
look both sincere and as if he was interested in what Chris had to say.
Normally I would have listened to Chris but tonight was about flirting
with Phil and was about vodka. I poured myself another. I had never
drunk vodka before and it was quite a discovery. I had always thought
of beer as a men's drink and thought of spirits like vodka as women's
drinks. But vodka had quite a kick to it and I noticed some of the men
were drinking it to. I realised then that I was now seeing "the men" as
"other" and identifying myself as not a man, as a woman whereas I would
previously seen the men as individuals not a collective and myself as
one of them. I would have seen "the women" as "other".
We kissed a number of times and I remember Phil calling me the most
beautiful woman he had ever met in the vodka fuelled haze of that
evening.
I recall also Leanne getting angry with me too and telling me I was
drunk and she was going home now.
The next thing I remember is waking up in a strange bed with my head
spinning. I pulled the sheets off me and saw I was wearing my
underwear, that is to say my bra, panties, corset, red and black
suspenders and fishnet stockings.
My shoes, dress and hat were lying on the floor next to the bed with my
handbag. I got up with my head still spinning a bit. Yes, I was
hungover but not as much as I would have been if I had been drinking a
man's drink like beer. I had always mistakenly considered vodka a
Ladies drink.
I was in a man's bedroom and there were two doors. I could tell it was
a man's bedroom from the clothes strewn across the floor. The floor was
messy and I decided I was best slipping my shoes on as soon as possible.
I stepped into my shoes and teetered across to try the first door.
I had not tried to walk in heels whilst hungover before. I stumbled a
bit but managed to stay upright. The door was locked but there was a
key on the inside so I concluded I had locked myself in. I didn't want
anyone coming in finding me in my underwear so I did not unlock the door
but went to the other one which I was pleased to find was an ensuite
bathroom.
I sat down to pee as I did not want to make a mess and was not confident
my aim would be straight particularly given the difficulty I had had
navigating the bedroom. I looked down at my fishnet encased legs
wondering not so much what I was doing wearing a woman's underwear as
how I had come to find myself in my underwear in a strange man's
bedroom. I no longer thought of it as odd for me to be wearing the
lingerie I was decked out in.
It was cold outside, it was November now and I was not looking forward
to walking home from wherever I was in my skimpy witch's outfit but I
hadn't thought about it when Leanne and I left for the party the
previous evening nor had I expected to find myself in a stranger's
bedroom.
