Chapter 11
Even with Lexie trying her best to hide not being in the best of moods,
both Sarah and Audrey knew their friend was not in a good place. Then
again, there was no way the girl sitting on the couch could cover up
how her hopes for the night were elevated enough to be majorly let down
by her boyfriend. Lexie might had been a great actress, but she was not
that great.
The Gord actually thought that his girlfriend running to be president
of a social group she was not active in was important. It might have
been for his goals, but not for Lexie and their goals. It was brought
to the forefront by her friends but they were right, her man was
nothing but a boy.
Lexie was hurt for her boyfriend was not considerate of her tonight.
The Gord knew how important it was for Lexie to be out with her
friends. They had girls night once a month and he could not put off
asking that insignificant question until Saturday night. The reason he
could not was for it was party night at the frat house. Every Saturday
night was a party night at the frat house, but her boyfriend could not
miss one. It might affect his standing with his brothers.
How Lilith used her as a pawn did not help how Lexie felt about
herself. A person never felt good about themselves when they were
manipulated, let alone when it was done by a friend. What made it worse
for Lexie was how easy Lilith had done so. Lilith played her like a
Wii.
Lexie was not the only person in the room who Lilith played with, and
they were all still feeling the effects. This came to light when Lexie
asked where Cara was and Sarah casually mention she did not show for
she was out with Jason. Audrey hated the fact that she agreed with her
heartbroken friend. Sarah was happy for Cara, but Audrey knew the
happiness of the lady standing next to her was of the bittersweet
variety.
That made the lady who was sitting down on the couch even more down on
people than she was from Lilith and the Gord's actions. She was
disappointed that so many people had grabbing hands and just grabbed
what they could. Lexie saw how much that Cara wanted to be with Sarah
yet could not wait. It made her think that it was human nature for
people to walk on others, then to expect to be treated better than they
treated others.
Lexie got up from the couch and hugged Sarah and asked her if she was
okay.
"Yes Lexie, I am fine. Do not worry about me, it is you we should be
worried about. No one who just got engaged to be married would be
sitting on the couch thinking with such a serious look on their face.
Plus I see no ring on your finger, so something is seriously wrong."
Lexie cursed that her friend must had been related to Batman or
Columbo, being so observant and her use of deductive reasoning. The
Gord and her had a huge misunderstanding which would be worked out.
They were in love, and even with being down on people, Lexie believed
that love was enough. The Gord would need to grow up, and Lexie knew
she needed to also. She had to quit enabling her man.
"Sarah, the big question Gordon had to ask me was not what I thought it
was. I was foolish to think that boy was ready to ask me that question.
You were right, he needs to grow up."
Sarah and Audrey felt for their friend. Yeah, the Gord had some faults,
but overall he was a good person. It was true that he needed to grow
up, but the same could be said about almost all 21 year old college
students. College was a place where people enter as children and come
out as adults, Now higher education was more a place that fostered
arrested development.
Sarah comforted her friend, "Lexie we all need to grow up. Well, we all
do expect for Audrey. Look at me. Instead of trying to understand where
Lilith came from with her objections to my project, I try my best to
push her buttons. I wanted to get her mad with my reactions to those
dirty tricks which she played. I could have instead tried to have a
serious talk with her, to see her point of view."
Audrey might have been the mother figure of the group, but she knew
that she had to grow up.
Also she did not like the view from the pedestal she was on. Audrey
enjoyed being the voice of reason in the group, but sometimes it felt
like they treated her too much like an adult. "Sarah even I need to do
some growing up. I should have gone with Lexie for that coffee and
Grilled Sticky. I was mad at her and gave her the silent treatment. I
used how others see me as a way to let Lexie know I disapproved,
instead of talking about the topic."
Lexie saw this as a chance to change the subject for she remembered
that Cara had something special to give Sarah. "Oh what was it that
Cara gave you on Thursday Sarah?"
Even with thinking that her and Cara were not meant to be, Sarah
stilled loved her Giggle Twin. The girl who was becoming who she always
was, felt the connection the two had when she touched the necklace to
show it to her friends.
The silver of the necklace shined like how being around Cara made the
wearer of it. Having it so near to her heart all the time made the
necklace bearer feel the love and affection of the giver in that
special place which Cara owned in it.
Seeing the necklace really had Lexie and Audrey confused about their
friend not showing for Girls' night out. Giving someone jewelry is not
something even casual friends did. Plus, the jewelry was personalized
with an engraving, that was not a gift even a close friend would give.
"Cara needs to grow up and just admit that you and her should be
together. I really think she is running away from some reason or
another. It might be that she is scared you might not return her love,
or if it does not work out she would lose your friendship. Sarah do not
give up on her."
Sarah laughed, "I think it is for I am in a skirt. No woman would want
to date me in a skirt."
Audrey and Lexie looked at each other. It was not normally their place
to tell Sarah how much Cara had been swooning over her. Now they felt
like it was due to the circumstances of the situation. Sarah was
growing as a person and their friend should not see it as hampering any
aspect of her life. Lexie spoke up first, "Come on Sarah. You know that
is not true, Cara gave you that beautiful necklace, and any money she
has her half of it on now. Plus, she has told us many times she was
getting a huge crush on you after spending time while you were in a
skirt."
Audrey backed up what Lexie said, "It is true, any woman who would not
go out with you for your fashion sense is looking for the wrong things
in a relationship."
The support and encouragement of Sarah's friends did reaffirm that she
had a chance with Cara. Still that did not change Sarah believing that
Cara was with someone else. That false fact reaffirmed to Sarah she
needed to treat the date with Dillon as a real one. Sarah had to know
who she was sexually. Maybe her protector presented her as a
heterosexual man so her father did not know she existed.
***********
It was always hard for a visitor to sleep in the hospital, they had so
much on their mind. Even if it was just a minor illness which made
their loved one need an overnight stay, the creeping thought of
everyone's mortality keeps popping up in their mind. Lilith had even
more thoughts racing through her head because of her guilty conscience.
She blamed herself for Cara being alone and unconscious.
The lady who could not sleep knew if she hadn't been so determined to
make James' life as miserable as she had, Cara would have never met
that predator Jason. He might have put the roofie in her drink, but
Lilith lured her to his lair. None of Cara's friends were there to
offer moral support because they were not listening let alone returning
her calls. Lilith knew they were right in not doing so. They would
think she was calling to relish in the glory of her victory.
There was no comfort to be found for Lilith when the doctors said Cara
would be released from the hospital after she regains consciousness.
Her friend had been out since she got into the ambulance. The doctors
did not confirm, but with Lilith's knowledge of date rape, she knew
that bastard made Cara overdose. Him drugging Cara's drink with an
overdose should be attempted murder in her book. Lilith also felt that
she should be charged as an accessory to all the crimes Jason committed
against Cara.
The lady who was seeing the consequences of her action realized that
she was no better than a rapist. Rape was never about sex, it was about
power and control. The last couple of weeks her actions towards those
who had been her friends was all about power and control over them. She
has used them to get her way. Not for a second thinking about what was
best for them.
It was sad that Lilith found relief when she was beating herself up
about being a wedge between James and Cara getting together. One has to
have done some nasty actions to want to think about how they ruined two
peoples chances at being happy. The relief from all the things she had
done was short lived, for thinking of keeping those two apart lead to
her thinking of the tactics she used. One of them was to hook her
friend up with a rapist.
Lilith spent the night hoping that Cara would be fine. She did not wish
for one moment to get her former friend's forgiveness. The lady who had
wronged so many people knew it would help her get relief. Lilith was
hoping forgive herself as well, for she would likely have only herself
to live with.
************
The Gord wanted some good news, any good news. If not good news,
something exciting to happen to take his mind off of his meal with
Lexie. It was not a date, for the man who took the good things in life
for granted did not treat it as one. That meal's goal was to get Lexie
to do what he wanted and to plan their campaigns.
It was the same Friday night at the frat, a couple of people were
drinking, a couple of them were playing video games, some were spending
time with their girlfriends, and other were going on the prowl to get a
girlfriend, either the permanent type or the one night variety. The
same old same old was not going to take his mind off of having to talk
with Lexie.
The Gord blamed James, and not his own acting like a dog for the reason
why he was in his better half's doghouse. If that freak who liked to
wear a dress was not so sensitive, he would not have had to move up his
plans. Asking Lexie to help him get his goal earlier than he wanted was
only for damage control. James would not even know of the joke, but his
girlfriend was concerned about their friend's feelings.
Where was that drag queen anyways? All the pledges and some of the
brothers were on the look out for the want-to-be RuPaul, yet not
reported back. The pledges would be reporting back soon, because the
movie theater had just let out the last movie goers. The Gord hoped
that they were not as incompetent as to not catch James coming out of
the movies. There was no way they could miss the group. It would be the
one with the manly looking woman in it.
The night would get better once the Gord could find James. He was going
to really mock that boy. It would do wonders for his soul to get some
of his frustrations out on someone. The Gord could not lift himself up
so he was going to knock others down to feel good about himself.
The man who wanted some good news did not like the prospects of getting
any when he saw all the pledges walk into the house together. No phone
call from them meant no sighting of the crossdresser. Them walking in
together meant that they stayed together as a group. How intelligent
was that? The frat brother smiled, for it was time to punish a newbie.
The Gord found a group he could put beneath him to lift himself up.
The Gord started in right away. "Hey ladies, I did not tell you to hang
out together. I said to spread out and find that man in a skirt. I bet
he sashayed right past you while you were too busy gossiping with each
other."
One of members of the group being berated, Matt Piper, was close to
quitting pledging. The frat was not what he thought it would be. He
joined for the camaraderie, but also for the motto, per auxilium aliis
auxilium tibi. The motto translated to 'help yourself by helping
others', but knowing that did not matter. They were just words at the
frat. Yes a couple of the brothers tried to live by them, but the rest
of them just gave the motto lip service. There idea of charity work was
telling the pledges to stand on street corner to raise donations for
the Dance Marathon.
The Gord talking down to Matt was close to his last straw. Being part
of this group did not mean enough to him to not to be treated with
respect. "We did spread out, we got together as a group while coming
back to the house."
The Gord's bad mood got worse. A lowly pledge had the audacity to talk
back to him! The Gord pointed at Matt. "You, you messed up big time.
You need to be disciplined for it and I will have the right punishment
for you."
The Gord paused for dramatic effect. He knew exactly what the
punishment was going to be. That nameless pledge was going to have to
do the chores which Lexie was not going to do for the next month.
Before the man who got out of growing up was able to announce it, he
heard BNB's voice, "Yeah Matt next Friday you will have to pull a Gord
and serve us supper dressed all pretty."
BNB did not want to punish Matt, he liked him alot. That freshman had
potential to bring back the spirit of helping the community which has
been missing in this house. BNB had been working on it, but he knew it
would take a couple of years to change the culture of the Alpha House.
BNB made the punishment so the Gord would back off.
The Gord was not having it. "BNB, I get to pick the punishment."
BNB with a huge grin on his face answered, "You did pick this
punishment. So either it is what I said and everyone talks about how
Matt is going to be pulling a Gord for the next week, or you drop it.
They did what you asked and told the truth. They had better ways of
spending a Friday night. So for wasting their time, I say that they
need not clean the commons area tomorrow, some of us brothers will. The
ones who want to show leadership."
As the pledges left the room, BNB said, "Matt, get yourself something
to drink and then join me in a game of pool."
**********
The morning came and still no sight of Lilith and Cara. None of the
girls at the apartment thought that they would see Cara until early
afternoon, she was not the type to do the walk of shame after a hookup.
Now, Lilith not being around was strange. How could she keep herself
away from seeing Sarah? Yes Lilith would have been disappointed that
once again her plan to get under Sarah's skin did not work, but the
lady who did not know when to quit did not know that.
Lexie was feeling better about last night. They were just juniors, so
expecting her man to pop the question was too much to anticipate. That
fact did not change that she knew the Gord needed to do some growing
up. Her man needing to mature did not phase her, for she knew that he
acted like a teenager to hide how sensitive he was. The bad part of him
acting like a teenager was it brought out the shadow qualities of being
sensitive.
Lexie was happy to see Sarah come to the dining area dress in jogging
outfit. Her friend was so cute with her high ponytail while wearing
pink training tights with white stripes on the sides and black
trimming, and a black workout bra with a pink and white geometric
print. The necklace with a half-heart pendant was the perfect touch for
the outfit, and to express the state of Sarah's heart. Lexie did not
care about the brave front her friend put up, she knew Sarah was
hurting.
Sarah started to stretch and Lexie asked if she was going jogging by
herself. Sarah said yes. Lexie did not want Sarah to be alone. There
might be some jerk out there who would say a smart remark just to get a
laugh. Lexie wanted to make sure someone was there to help Sarah not
take it personally. The lady who was looking out for a friend told
Sarah to wait and she would join her.
The two ladies who were making sure they stayed in shape left the
apartment complex and jogged down the street. Lexie informed her
workout partner the run was about 4 miles long on a pretty level route
so it would take about 30 minutes. Sarah replied, "Good," for she
wanted her to get her heart rate going, so she sped up. Lexie stepped
up her speed to keep in pace with the lead runner.
It was a sunny morning so they started to sweat quickly. Sarah thought
that Cara was right about only wearing a sport bra for the sweat would
have been worse with another layer of clothes on. Then she thought
about how nice it was last night to have many layers of clothes on, it
made her outfit versatile.
The joggers were getting their runner high when they turned the last
corner before the mile long run down the street back to the apartment.
There were two men running up the street. Sarah got a little nervous
for this was the first time a stranger would see her in the daylight.
She passed last night, but that was in the dark and with a lot of
makeup on, would she pass now was the question on her mind.
One of the male joggers checked her out, giving a smile of approval
answered her question.
"OMG, that man checked me out!" Sarah thought. She liked how that felt
and it made her runner's high even better. The lady who felt good about
how she looked assumed that James did also for he was still nowhere to
be seen in her mind. The lady who was genetically a man could feel her
protector's presence, so he was fine that she enjoyed being ogled. .
It was no wonder why the man who checked out Sarah liked what he saw;
her body fit what he liked, long and lean. Sarah's face being flush
from running gave her a natural blush on her cheeks, so that help to
feminize her appearance evem more. Sarah was no beauty queen, many
transgirls were more attractive than her. She did have one advantage
over them to pass, her face was more feminine in nature. Darla Young
would call the daughter she thought was her son angel face. When Sarah
finally figured this out she would consider herself blessed, for she
would rather pass as a cute lady than have people see her as a man who
could look like a beautiful lady.
Lexie tapped Sarah on her arm to get her attention and make sure she
handled a man checking her out well. Lexie was relieved when Sarah
smiled when making eye contact with her. Lexie knew the smile was about
being checked out by that nice looking man.
Sarah's pace slowed down for a second when she realized she thought he
was good looking. That was the second man Sarah though was attractive.
Dillon was the other one. Her pace went back up and she looked over at
Lexie to see if she noticed. Sarah's friend did not, or if she did she
thought it was just a little muscle twitch which made the pace go down
and back up.
They got back to the apartment, Sarah went and fetched two gatorades
and Lexie got them a couple towels to wipe off the sweat. They handed
each other what they got and said thanks. Sarah noticed the unspoken
cooperation which was forming between her and Lexie. It made her think
that the same was occurring with Audrey and Cara.
As those two sat down at the table, Lexie asked Sarah how she felt
about that guy checking her out. The question came from Lexie making
sure that Sarah was fine with being viewed more like an object than a
person, but she was also inquisitive about the smile. She wanted to
know how much Sarah liked it. It was hard for Lexie to think a man
would really like another man looking at him in that manner. Then
again, Lexie was not seeing Sarah as a man.
Lexie being this caring about how Sarah reacted to being checked out
made her feel even closer to her. The lady who was getting closer to
opening the locked door with the truth about her told Lexie, it built
up her ego and it felt good to be seen as a woman. Sarah then in
passing said she did not know if, as a woman, she was also into men.
How casually Sarah mentioned her uncertain sexuality almost made Lexie
do a spit take. That was the last comment she expected to hear from the
lady who was pining for Cara. Sarah knew where the the surprised look
on her friend's face came from.
"Lexie, oh I want to be with Cara, but if that is not meant to be I
have to be open. I am growing so much as a person from this project and
need to accept where it takes me. I am happy with the changes so far. I
really like wearing cute outfits, it just feels so natural to me. There
might be more to Sarah than just being a project. Being Sarah might be
a huge part of who I am."
Sarah's disclosure of her personal growth and how she felt about being
dressed as a woman made Lexie come to the understanding that this
weekend was about more than only understanding the other gender to
Sarah. It was about her understanding herself.
"Dear, you know you can come over anytime you want to wear all the cute
outfits you own. I like hanging out with James, but I also like hanging
out with Sarah. Also, the Gord will not give you anymore grief about it
once I have a talking to him about it."
Hearing Lexie refer to James as a different person than Sarah made the
girl who was becoming more real closer to accepting who she was.
**************
BNB got the low turnout he expected from his brothers to do the
cleaning. Knowing that only a few would show up still did not lessen
him being disgusted by it. Him being sick of his brothers' attitude was
made worse when the usual suspects showed up. The ones who wanted power
in the frat and of course the Gord was one of them. These brothers were
not there to change the attitude of frat, but to gain votes in the
officer elections.
Then when two late comers, the pledge Matt and a brother Fonger, came
to join in the chore it lifted BNB's spirit. There was some hope for
the change he envisioned. He was also happy that he was right about
Matt. Fonger was a pleasant surprise, then again anyone else but who
was already there would have been.
BNB looked to the two. "Matt, you do not have to be here, and Fonger
are you lost?"
Matt replied, "I want to be here. I want to show leadership. I want
Alpha House to be the best it can. That can only happen by us doing
more."
Fonger was nervous because he always tried to blend instead of stand
out. Not being sure of himself Fonger did not get the joke, and
seriously answered BNB's question. "Yeah I am lost. I am trying to find
how to be a leader."
The Gord and the others who were using the cleaning as a photo op all
started to laugh. BNB was ready to jump in to encourage Fonger if the
laughter weakened his drive to become a better person. Even with the
laughter being aimed at him, Fonger did care. He knew all these people
were there to gain something. He was there to become a better person.
He gave a little snipe back at the laughter. "While I see I am not the
only one who is lost about how to be a leader."
BNB said, "Yeah you are further ahead than most who already show up,
grab a mop and tackle the kitchen."
As the brothers were cleaning the house, BNB made sure he spent some
time working with each of them. The man who had a vision of a better
frat wanted to share it with them. Next year, they were going to be in
charge and he wanted his goal to come to fruition.
BNB went straight to the point when he struck up a conversation with
the Gord, "What is your issue with James, dude?"
The Gord was not there to chat, at least not with BNB. BNB would not
vote in the upcoming election, he was on course to graduate, so it was
not worth the aspiring president's time. The Gord did not want his
brother to know how hurt he was by what James had said. "Nothing, it is
just funny that he is spending the weekend in a dress."
BNB was so jealous of James for his project. Oh how he would have loved
to spend an entire weekend enfemme. "Come on, I know you better than
that. I know you are not that much of a jerk. If you were, trust me,
there would be no chance of you being President. I would have made it
so.
Now, either tell me, or I will crush that little chance you have to
achieve your dream."
The Gord knew that BNB was not lying. The president of the frat would
stay true to his nickname. He would crush the Gord's hopes of running
the house if the Gord did not open up. .
"I was joking around when I caught him in a dress, then he attacked me
for buying my friends. No non Alpha man can talk about us like that."
BNB was happy that the Gord was opening up some, but knew it was still
a strong front. The man who wanted the Gord to open up went the ham
route, "Come you. You bullshit a baker you might be a bun, bullshit a
bullshitter you get none."
The Gord laughed, then got serious. "OK. Him saying that reminded me he
turned down my offer to sponsor him to join us. He would have been a
great fit with us. People like him turning us down show me we are more
about drinking and partying than becoming better people.
BNB said, "The frat can be about us becoming better people, if the
better people in it make it so."
"No, not as long as we build unity by sharing the painful experience of
hazing. I hate to admit this, but I miss doing it this year. I was
taking my frustrations out of not treating others bad on James."
"Then go build some unity with Matt and Fonger by cleaning and talking
with them."
**********
It was noon, and Lilith was exhausted mentally, physically, and
emotionally. Watching vigil was an ordeal for Lilith. Her mind would
just play a loop of all the nasty deeds she had done in the last couple
of weeks. She could not sleep and the hospital was not helping Cara as
much as they should. Lilith had to fight with the doctors to get them
to do a drug test on Cara. The blood was taken only when Lilith asked a
nurse why no one has yet taken the blood test for drugs which a doctor
has ordered. The nurse was overworked and behind on her rounds, so she
did not check to see if Lilith was telling the truth and drew the
blood. Then she rushed the sample down to the labs.
The official reason the doctors gave Lilith about no blood test was it
was not needed for medical treatment, and the insurance company would
not cover it. The lady knew the truth, it was to help cover up what
Jason did. The university hospital did not want to help with bad press
from the attempted rape. If there was no positive test for any date
rape drug then the incident would only go to the disciplinary board of
the university. Their hearings were in private for they did not deal
with criminal matters.
The worst was, Cara still had not regained consciousness yet. The
doctors would not directly tell Lilith much, for they needed to follow
HIPAA, but their non verbal communication told Lilith there was nothing
to worry about. That did not ease the concern the lady who caused this
had.
Cara started to stir and Lilith's concerns started to settle. Cara was
not fully aware when she started to panic. Why the hell was she in a
hospital room and why did Lilith look like death worn over? Then seeing
her friend it came back to her. The rush of adrenaline from her anger
and gratitude towards Lilith cleared Cara's groggy head.
"Lilith, thank you for saving me."
Lilith was ashamed that the lady who she put in danger was thanking
her. "I did no such thing, I was the cause of this."
"No you only introduced me to him, that animal."
"No I did more. I told him where to bump into you so you would miss
dinner with James. I caused this"
"Lilith, I am mad, very mad, at you for so many things, but do not
blame yourself for this. You had no idea Jason was a monster. Anyone
who would drug another person is a monster."
Lilith's guilt did not let her see that there was no way she could
blame herself for the actions of others. Lilith saw herself as her
sister's keeper and let down one of them big time. Her arrogance about
needing everyone to see it her way or else made the vain lady blind to
the danger she put her friend in.
"Cara, I should have never done that."
"You are right, you shouldn't have, not for his drugging me though. You
should have never done that for you wanted to cause pain to friends.
You never gave Sarah a chance."
"Don't bring that up."
"Don't try to run away from your issue with her."
Lilith knew that her friend was right. If Lilith handled the situation
better, they would not be in this cold sterile lifeless hospital room.
"You mean him."
"No, I mean her. You have not spent any time with Sarah. She is real.
It is like Sarah is a different person than James. None of it is
acting. It is real.
What did she say when you told her what happened?," Cara asked.
"I left messages and she did not answer. I did the same with Audrey,
Lexie, and Dillon. None of them answered. They are not speaking to me.
I am sorry."
When Cara heard that, she knew that Sarah would think that she stood
the group up to be with Jason. The lady who wanted to set the story
straight quickly hit the call button for the nurse. She wanted her
phone to call the lady who had her fancy.
"Sorry. That is all you have to say, sorry? You got what you wanted and
you are sorry? That does not make it better"
"I see how it hurt you and I will not do it again."
"Lilith, you don't understand. How you treated Sarah was wrong. You are
not sorry for what you did and do not think it was wrong, you are sorry
about the results.
Just leave, thank you for watching over me. Maybe you can start to see
what you did from other people's perspectives."
Lilith was relieved that Cara was mad at her, she deserved her friend's
anger. Lilith might not see herself as a friend to Cara, but she still
was for now. Lilith had a chance to save her friendships with the
others. It would take her being introspective and withstanding the
winter of their friendship and work on righting the wrongs she did.

The Saturday of the LGBT's dance was one of Ron's favorites days. He
spent all day being Veronica. His roommates also loved those days.
Veronica loved to bake and cook and the guys were going to eat well and
the place would be stock up with sweets for at least a week. It was
nice to have a feminine touch to the place also. The guys were able to
impress the ladies they brought over by how well kept the house was.
Even with the dance being a highlight day for Veronica, today was even
more special for her. She was going to meet a girl who was going out in
public for the first time this weekend. Ronnie loved being there for
girls when they are out for the first time. It was a great feeling to
support someone in becoming who they were
Veronica was an old vet at being herself in public. This was for ronnie
has been known to others for 8 years. It started the day Ron's brother
caught him in a dress. Victor Nash was a liberal and instead of yelling
and threatening to tell their parents he talked with his brother about
why he was their sister's dress.
How open Victor was to hearing out Ron about Veronica made the boy able
to tell his parents. Mr and Ms Nash did not expect to hear those words
from the their youngest son, but did what any good parent would do.
They were supportive of him expressing who he was, even if that he was
sometimes a she.
It also added that tonight she believed that the most eligible gay
bachelor at Penn State was going to find someone special. It might be
her or it might be Sarah. To Ronnie, it did not matter who because she
wanted Dillon to have someone. Oh, she wanted it to be her, but more
importantly she wanted whoever had the chance with Dillon to be right
for him.
The reason the girl who was going to have a great time tonight was so
confident that Dillon was going to find someone was simple. If Sarah
did not show interest in actually having a date with that stud she was
going to be upfront. Ronnie was going to make the first move on that
man. Yesterday he admitted that he had a crush on her in the past. It
would be easy to rekindle that spark.
Ronnie hummed, "I am Going to Make You Love Me," as she whipped
together some chocolate chip cookies.

Lilith obeyed Cara wishes as she sat in the hall keeping watch over the
room. The lady who was following the letter but not the spirit of the
command was told to leave the room, not the hospital. As Lilith made
sure she protected Cara, Lilith thought about the words that the lady
she helped put in a vulnerable position said to her. Cara was right,
and that hurt. Lilith admitted to herself she would have done it again
if she knew that Jason would not have tried to take advantage of her
friend. The lady who thought she was right did not even for a second
think that maybe it was more than just play for James. Maybe James had
a strong feminine side.
"Oh, shit," Lilith thought. It was not that maybe James had a strong
feminine side. The reality was that James did have one. That was how
that man was able to get along so easily with women. That was also how
he came off as non threatening. Even while around the nicest men, if a
woman did not know him, they did feel a little uncomfortable. James
just gave a vibe which instantly washed away any uncertainty about his
intentions.
As Lilith came to those conclusions while in the still life which was a
hospital, she saw the nurses go into Cara's room a couple of times and
also a doctor. Then there was two strangers, a well dressed man and
woman, who went in. Lilith knew right away they were detectives from
how they carried themselves.
Lilith did not trust the university police, they had a vested interests
in keeping the Penn State's reputation sparkling. She knew it would be
breaking Cara's trust in her again but she was going to move closer to
eavesdrop in the interview. Lilith knew she was doing this for the best
interest of her friend.
"While how can you be sure that Jason did not offer you the drugs and
you said yes if you can't remember?"
Cara did not know how to answer the question any other way than she
already did. The tone and the wording of the question made the lady
feel like she was the criminal. The lady who was feeling pressure
almost made the mistake of trying to re-word the answer when Lilith
appeared in the doorwell.
"If you two would have spent time to read my statement you would know
that I saw him put that drug in her drink. My actions of knocking over
a table and charging towards Cara to try to stop her from drinking it
would corroborate my account of the events.
Now instead of trying to poke holes in the victim's statement, just do
your job and take it. You're not going for just the facts will end up
making this event even more bad press for the university than it
already is. Plus, it would make so that neither of you could get jobs
as a meter maids."
Both Lieutenant Benson and Logan were good enough at reading people to
know that the lady was not bluffing. They were both more interested in
self preservation than saving the university from negative news
coverage. The detectives quickly changed their demeanor and tone
towards Cara. As soon as Lilith was satisfied the police officers were
going to do their job correctly she returned to her post.
After a half hour, the detectives came out of Cara's room and walked
directly to Lilith. The lady who made sure those two did the right
thing was not going to back down from them. When they got to her, Logan
informed Lilith that her friend wanted to see her.
Lilith made the slow walk down to see Cara. Lilith might take what was
rightfully coming her way but she was not going to hurry towards
receiving it.
"Lilith, I thought I told you to leave."
"Yes you did. I should had. I knew you meant the hospital and I did not
listen. I only left your room. I wanted to watch over you."
"Thank you for staying. You coming in and making sure those two did not
intimidate and pressure me into messing up my story helped. Pull up a
seat and stay."
Lilith sat down, it felt good Cara wanted her there. "I was wrong. I
should have given Sarah a chance. I will if she allows me to. I do not
think she will."
"Lilith don't worry about if she will or not. Just tell her the truth.
It does nothing for your relationship with her if you are not able to
admit it to her."
Lilith did not want to dwell on losing friendships so she quickly
changed the subject. "I saw that they did not bring your belongings up,
want me to go to get them?"
"No, stay. Just in case someone from the university comes and tries to
trip me up in saying the wrong thing. I am being released in an hour so
they will bring them up soon enough."
Cara finally got her phone and quickly called Sarah. There was no
answer, in a way, Cara thought that was best. What she needed to say
was best said face to face. It would be cleared up soon enough.
**********
Sarah looked at the phone and saw it was Cara. She did care and love
for that girl but was not in the mood to hear why she picked Jason over
her. They would be able to talk about it tomorrow, if Cara came home,
if not, the next time they saw each other. What needed to be said was
best said face to face,
In a way, the lady, who was happy that her friend found a real man,
knew it was best to wait. She was still feeling a little raw about Cara
not picking her. Then again, a man in pants would win out against a man
in a dress when going after a lady's heart, so Sarah understood the
decision. Also it is selfish to be mad at Cara, one should put their
friends needs in front of their wants. Cara needed a man and Sarah was
not one.
Sarah did not want Cara to feel bad telling her, there was no reason
the other Giggle Twin should. Sarah's future was as bright as the her
painted fingernails. The lady did not know what was in store for her,
for how her life was going to unravel shined too bright. The brightness
came from the endless opportunities.
Lexie came back from her rehearsal and was a little pensive around
Sarah. Sarah wanted to know what was causing her to be withdrawn. They
had a little chat, and it was that the Gord wanted to come over to
apologize. Sarah laughed to try to lighten the mood as she agreed to
seeing her friend's man.
One amazing thing is, when people were in sync with each other, they
saw the other in the best possible light. If this was a couple of days
ago, Lexie would have taken Sarah's laughter as her scoffing at the
idea. Now Lexie saw it for what it was, her friend trying to ease her
uneasiness.
***********
The Gord was pleased with the results at cleaning the frathouse. It
felt good to actually pitch in to keep his home looking good, and
tidying up also did the same to his priorities. The time to grow up and
become mature was now. It was always now, people needed to grow as a
person to truly enjoy life. The boy who was going to become a man found
it ironic that someone he was supposed to mold into a man was the
person who made him hear what all the others were telling him, grow up.
It was not only the personal growth which made the frat brother like
the results of the cleaning. As they worked on it more of his fellow
Alpha men joined in. After talking to the pledge Matt, whose frat name
was going to be Oz, for how wise he was, the Gord heard one of his
brothers poke fun at the name of the new punishment without reacting.
As Lexie let her man in, he saw Sarah for the first time. The last time
he was face to face with Sarah, the Gord only saw a man in a dress; not
what was actually in front of him, a person being who they were. As he
saw Sarah standing to greet him, the Gord knew that if he did not know
this was James in black leggings and a purple tunic with batwing
sleeves, he would have thought it was a real woman.
The man who was there to smooth over a rough patch with his friend and
girlfriend was a gentleman and said, "Sarah, you look great. I see why
you picked this project.."
It was not just the feminine feature and the slight build of Sarah's
body which made her look great. It was also how she carried herself.
She was confident in how she looked and that the clothes were right for
her. Sarah replied to Gordon's compliment, "Why, thank you Gordon."
Sarah called The Gordon by his given name for it was who the man she
was talking with really was. Sarah was not portraying the role of James
so she was not going to see Gordon as the role he portrayed as the
Gord.
"You are welcome, and call me The Gord, like you also do."
"No James does, this weekend I am Sarah and it just doesn't feel right
if I did. I know it might seem silly putting this much effort into the
project, but as Sarah, you are Gordon to me."
"Just know you can call me the Gord whenever you want to.
That is not what I am here for. I wanted to make sure you know that I
am sorry for how I had been treating you the last couple of times I saw
you. It was immature and uncalled for. The worst part of it was, I do
not believe in how I was putting you down.
My best friend in high school is gay and I did him wrong by implying
that being gay is bad. I've been doing him wrong every time I did so. I
also did Dillon wrong, and trust me, I will tell him that the next time
I see him."
Sarah smiled, "Thank you so much for saying that. The words were not
what made it bad. It was that they came from you. I should not have
lashed out back at you. I know how important the frat is to you. I know
it is about unity and brotherhood, and James was honored you asked him
to join. The Greek life is not for him."
The Gord was impressed with how far Sarah was taking the project. It
had to be hard for her to refer to herself in the third person, and
doing so just flowed off of her tongue. He was going to mention it to
Lexie later, to see if his woman coached Sarah with some acting tips.
If not, he was going to suggest to her to get some tips from Sarah.
***********
With Dillon and Sarah changing their dinner plans, Audrey had the place
to herself. She was going to cook them her specialty, spicy skillet
chicken and zucchini parmesan, but those two decided to go out to eat
instead. Well, Sarah actually did, she wanted to be around people. Oh
how great it felt to be out and about for the girl who was locked away
for so long.
Audrey was not going to waste being alone in the apartment all night.
She toned down the lights and lit candles to have a warm intimate
feeling. She had Pandora running so it would play light classical
guitar music. This me time she was having was so relaxing. It took the
stress of the last couple of weeks away. She finished her meal and was
sipping red wine while just immersing herself in the calm peaceful
feeling.
Then the door opened and the bickering of her two roommate hit the wall
of peace which surrounded Audrey like cannon balls. Each word was
another arterial shot fire and broke more of the walls down. At first
what they were saying was incomprehensible to she who was so far away
mentally.
Then when her mind reunited with her body, she could understand the
words, but they were making no sense contextually. Cara was telling
Lilith there was no way she was moving out, and Jason was to blame.
Lilith was admitting that she was wrong with her actions towards Sarah,
that she held responsibility for Jason's actions and she burnt too many
bridges to stay friends with any of them.
When people first met Audrey, they thought she was reserved for she
tended not to speak much. They later found out that she was meticulous.
She wanted to make the least amount of presumptions before she weighed
in on a subject or a person.
Cara saw Audrey sitting at the table and asked, "Where is Sarah and
Dillon?"
Even with the dim lighting of the room, Audrey saw that Cara looked
worn out. The perceptive lady knew the look her friend had was not from
too much fun, it was from a traumatic event. Audrey asked, "What
happened to you Cara?"
"It is not important, where is Sarah? I need to talk with her right
now."
Lilith was not going to have Cara downplay what happened. "It is
important Cara, you were almost raped because of me. Audrey, don't
worry you will see me walking out that door for good soon. I am moving
out."
Cara cut in, "No you are not Lilith, at least not until this is all
sorted out. Now where is Sarah, I need to talk with her."
Audrey shook her head, "Not until you tell me what happened. Where were
you two, why didn't you call Cara? Sorry, just tell me what happened."
The seriousness of what Lilith said made Audrey act so out of character
and fire many questions at once. Audrey pulled back from the questions,
for she did not want to overwhelm her friend with too many to fast. The
answers would be revealed once Cara's story was told.
Cara did not find it any easier to tell the story the second time. Even
with being surrounded by friends it was hard to admit that she was
almost violated by a man she trusted. It made her lose faith in those
she did not know. Cara was going to be suspicious of strangers.
Once Cara told her story, Lilith said, "That is why I am responsible
for what happened to Cara and have to move out."
Lilith was right, that people do bear the responsibility of unforeseen
outcomes of their action, that is as long as it was reasonable to do
so. Do a prank and it turns out wrong, it is the persons fault who
committed the prank. Being a prank and having an intention of making
others laugh does not absolve people of causing the outcome of their
actions.
Lilith was holding herself up to a standard way to high. Lilith did not
know that the charming man was a psychopath. There was no way that
Lilith could have reasonably expected that Jason would do something so
blatant as drug her friend in a public place. She did not bear the
burden for the unexpected consequences.
"Lilith you messed up a lot the last couple of weeks, but this is not
one of them.
Now Cara, Sarah and Dillon had a change of plans and went out to eat. I
do not know where, call her. She would want to be here for you right
now."
"No she is not answering her phone. "
Audrey went to call. Cara stopped her, and told her friend it can wait.
Sarah needed to hear the news in person. They needed to talk in person.
Cara needed to see Sarah in person.
************
Dillon and Sarah had a great time at dinner. The conversation never
slowed down. Dillon did blush when Sarah mentioned how great his tuxedo
looked on him and she appreciated that he got one which matched her
dress. Dillon fought the urge to get lost in Sarah's hazel eyes. They
were so inviting and made him feel like he was at home.
After the meal they took their time strolling to the dance. Halfway
there was when Dillon first noticed Sarah had her arm wrapped around
him. It felt good and he said nothing. Even with Dillon under the
impression nothing could happened, he was just going to let what would
be be. Little did he know that Sarah was seeing this as a real date.
Side by side Sarah and Dillon walked into the dance. Sarah felt like
she was on a promenade and everyone was looking at her. The truth was
that just a couple of people were, the reason it felt like everyone was
for they were looking at her as a woman not a man. She was being judged
by her looks. The apricot bodycon lace dress did make her look
incredible. The hip enhancers helped Sarah fill out the dress in all
the right places.
Even with the few people who noticed her giving looks of approval, her
heels made Sarah feel vulnerable. The dress made her feel exposed.
Those along with makeup made her feel like she was on display. She
wondered how women dealt with this all the time. She got a little
closer to Dillon to not feel so exposed and the anxiety of being
inspected went away. Those two started to walk into the dance
As they made their way down the stairwell into the ballroom, Sarah gets
his attention and looks up to make eye contact with him. She never
realized how tall he was until tonight. Even with wearing the 4" heels
she had to look up at him to make eye contact with him. I am in heels
and he must still have be 3" taller than me she thought to herself.
They made eye contact and just smiled. As she put her hand on his bicep
she paused for a second and notice how muscular he is. He says 'What?'.
She got her thoughts back together and that huge grin on her face grew.
Her date made her feel so safe and she knew that all the single men and
girls like her would be jealous of how good looking her date was. Her
answer of him being the best looking man there made Dillon's heart skip
a beat.
Dillon blushed from that compliment, any little compliment always made
him do so. That was why he did think it was nice coming from Sarah.
Even with him knowing that somewhere under that dress his room mate was
there, hearing how sincere those words were made him think that maybe
he would get what he wanted from the night, Sarah.
Dillon returned the compliment by saying he was lucky to have such an
beautiful and charming date this evening. Now it was Sarah's turn to
blush. It was not the words which made her blush, but who they were
from. It felt really nice to hear a great man like Dillon found her
beautiful. Sarah was happy that she had blush on, for Dillon did not
see how red his true sweet words made her.
They both felt a little awkward so they quickly looked away from each
other. The awkwardness went away when a group of Dillon's friends came
over to say hi. Four out of five of them were happy to see him with
someone. They were a little surprised that he was with a crossdresser.
They did not think T-girls were his style.
Dillon introduced Sarah as his date and one of them, Paul, said to him,
"Well, you still owe me a dance from the last time." This was the last
thing Dillon wanted, he had turned away Paul's advances now for over a
year. At least he did not have to come up with a reason now not to
dance with him. He had a date.
Before Dillon could reject Paul once again, Sarah entwined her right
arm with his left, placing her left hand upon his bicep while getting
closer to Dillon. He was her date and Sarah was is going to be
protective of him. Then with a grin on her face said, "Sorry, his dance
card is all filled up tonight dear."
Dillon was relieved that Sarah did that.
The friends left and told Dillon to come to their table later on
tonight. He said see you then. As they were leaving Paul gave Sarah a
look as dirty as a politician. Sarah just grinned and thought that she
can be a catty little bitch, then giggled. Dillon asked what was so
funny, and Sarah blew it off by saying nothing, suggesting that they go
get a drink. As Dillon agreed to go get drinks, he thought "Great, now
she is answering like a woman."
As they made it up to the bar, a lady with red hair in a green cocktail
dress which matched her eyes came walking towards them. The look on the
approaching lady's face told Sarah she knew Dillon and also liked him.
Dillon was so happy to see Veronica, even with Sarah enjoying their
time he could tell she also wanted to interact with others. Ronnie was
a great lady for Sarah to become friends with and she was going to need
some. Dillon believed that Sarah would be coming around more often by
how much fun she was having, and relaxed she was.
Ronnie gave Dillon a kiss on the cheek while greeting him. Right then
Sarah found out that she also liked men. The lady was a little
protective when Paul flirted with Dillon, another woman she did not
know kissing her man made her jealous. "She did not just do that!"
Sarah thought. Before the lady who was going to lay down the law could
do so, Veronica turned to her and gave her the same friendly kiss on
the cheek. Veronica said, "You must be Sarah, I am Veronica, call me
Ronnie! You are lucky to be with such a sweet man, and you must be
sweet also for Dillon has great taste with whom he would date."
The thunderstorm of jealousy brewing in Sarah's mind was broken up by
rays of niceness in Veronica?s voice and words. Sarah introduced
herself to Veronica. Veronica asked if she could talk to them for a
moment. Without a pause Sarah said yes before Dillon could say no. He
thought to himself Sarah is giving him yet another surprise tonight.
Unlike James, she is being very social and outgoing around new people.
Dillon was intrigued to see what unexpected thing she would do next.
The three started to talk. As the conversation went on Dillon became
less and less involved in it. He did not mind for he was enjoying
himself watching Sarah being comfortable in being herself. He noticed
how nice her smile was and how she got a twinkle in her eyes right
before she told a joke. Soon it was Sarah and Veronica doing the
talking. They had so much in common and the new girl in town was so
excited. Sarah had just made her first friend as Sarah. Dillon excused
himself to go to his friend?s table for he was starting to feel like a
third wheel. Sarah asked him to take her purse and told him she would
be joining him soon.
Those two talked for a little while longer then ?Ain?t Too Cool to
Dance? came on. Sarah said, ?This is my jam I have to get Dillon and
hit the floor!?
That sentence was one which would have never left James? lips. James
did like the song and it made his foot tap, but that man did not dance.
He did love to watch girls dancing, and while he did, Sarah studied the
moves and would picture herself doing them.
Veronica said, ?Well then let us hit the floor! Dillon should join us
for he loves to dance.?
Even with being a student of women dancing, this was Sarah?s first real
dance, so she was nervous. It was time for the lady who the rhythm got
put theory into practice. Veronica told her to feel the rhythm in the
music and just sway her hips. Sarah found that with no tread on the
bottoms of her shoes that it was easier to dance. While Sarah became
looser in her movement, Veronica grabbed her hand and started to pull
them to the beat also. Soon, Sarah's entire body was moving to the
music. Veronica let go and told Sarah to follow her lead. Sarah
followed her lead and was doing waterfalls with her hands while swaying
her hips and turning clockwise on the ball of her right foot. The girl
who knew she could dance was smiling and soaking in the moment.
This entire time Dillon has been keeping an eye on Sarah with a smile
on his face. When he saw her dancing he thought yet another surprise.
He was impressed by her moves. Sarah dance moves were extremely
feminine and natural.
He thought she really looked good out there. He stopped himself from
those thoughts again. That is your good friend your roommate. It became
a little torturous to watch her for his mind kept on going to thinking
about how great she looks, how much he is enjoying her having a good
time, how at ease and wonderful their chat on the walk to the dance
was. They had one of those conversations which just flowed naturally
like a country brook.
While Sarah was dancing, Veronica said that Dillon was checking her
out. Sarah looked, and from across the dance floor made eye contact,
and her smile got bigger, so did his. She giggled and enjoyed it. Why
not, she liked how it felt and sounded when she giggled. Her and Cara
do it so much together that Audrey and Lexie called them the Giggle
Twins.
By the end of the song, Sarah?s dance moves became more seductive and
she made sure that she made eye contact with Dillon. Sarah?s attempt to
tempt Dillon had its desired effect of casting a spell on him. The man
who was liking what he was seeing from his date quickly finished his
drink to join that temptress on the floor..
As Dillon was approaching the ladies some guys tried to join in dancing
with them. When the protective man saw this he perked up and his
muscles coiled. He was on high alert and ready to protect his date. He
was going to be ready just in case one of those guys get too fresh with
Sarah or Ronnie.
The girls danced away from them to show that they are not interested.
The guys did not get the hint and followed. Sarah did not like how
persistent they are being. The unwanted pursuit was making her
uncomfortable. This was the first time Sarah felt afraid for herself.
She knew that the guys could overpower them easily, and they seemed
immune to attempts to brush them off.
Veronica saw panic forming on Sarah?s face and suggested that they get
a drink. They left the dance floor and those guys did not follow right
away. On the way to the bar Veronica comforted Sarah by explaining
being perceived by others as a female made life different. Those guys
were a little over assertive on the floor, but some women like that.
The men were only trying to initiate the mating ritual. Hearing those
words of wisdom made Sarah relax. She knew that being a female was not
going to be all puppy dogs and strawberry ice cream, she would have to
take the unwanted with the desired.
Veronica and Sarah ordered their drinks. Veronica commended Sarah and
her dancing and mentioned next month Sarah would own the dance floor.
Sarah mentally agreed. Next month she would be the dancing queen of
this place and if a guy asked her if she could dance her answer would
be yes sir I can boogie. Sarah really was feeling good about herself,
this great lady next to her was making her see the true potential
Sarah?s life had.
As the two new friends chatted Dillon was stopped on his way to
rejoining his date by a stranger who liked what he saw. The man who
wanted to be around his date was disinterested in the advances.
The man who could not be picked up by some overused lines looked past
the person who was trying to be smooth to look at Sarah. He saw those
two jackals from the floor were walking towards the bar. He hoped that
they were just getting a drink but knew better. He could tell by the
trajectory of their path they were on a collision course with Sarah and
Ronnie.
Richard and Dave were overconfident in that their charisma gave them
the ability to transform a no from the object of their desire to a yes.
The reason they were on a dry spell was for they were not aggressive
enough, that was going to change tonight. They were going to show those
two ladies that they were real men and knew how to get what they
wanted. In reality, they came off as sleazy men, being more interested
in getting the trophy of their hunt than to finding someone to form a
relationship with.
Veronica excused herself for a second to go say hi to a friend at the
end of the bar and reassured Sarah she will be back. When Veronica
left, Richard, who had been eyeing Sarah, saw his chance. Even with her
declining his advances the man who thought he was God?s gift to whoever
he wanted knew better. She was just playing hard to get. No girl who
wasn?t looking for some would move her hips that way, hips don?t lie.
Plus a girl like her wearing those melons was another sign she wanted
some. The man who had too high of an opinion of himself was going to
give that lady what she wanted.
Richard got right behind Sarah and she instantly got creeped out by his
breath on her neck. Then he put his hand on her ass and smiled. Sarah,
with as much force as she could muster, slapped the violator?s hand off
of her bottom as she turned around to be face to face with the pervert.
Richard's creepy smile got bigger as he said, ?I like them feisty.?
?You might like them feisty, but I have too much taste to be with
someone like you. Even if I did lower my standards, I have a man.?
Richard knew he had no chance with her so he went to put Sarah down.
?Oh it does not matter that you have a man, for you are the type of
girl who will take any cock in front of her. Everyone knows that big
breasted bimbos are easy.?
Big breasted bimbo, those words stupefied Sarah. She could hear Lilith
saying she would look like a ballooned breasted bimbo, then calling her
one. She was hurt right then. She just stood there wishing that Cara
was there to give her strength.
Richard took Sarah not firing back at him as her becoming submissive to
his forceful response. The man who was too wrapped up in scoring did
not notice the pain in the lady?s face. He triumphantly said, ?Thats
better dear, just be pretty and come dance with me.?
His hand moved closer to Sarah?s hand. Sarah started to panic inside,
she did not want to be touched by this creep. Just thinking of him
touching her made her squeamish. She started to pull herself together
and said, ?No!!?
Sarah?s strong short blunt rejection did not stop Richard, she said no,
but her actions told him otherwise. As his hand was close to touching
Sarah?s, it was grabbed by someone. Richard was lucky, for after saying
no, Sarah found out she could be her own protector, there was no need
for James. She would have slapped Richard twice. Once to take the taste
of his mouth and the second time to put the taste back in his mouth so
the pervert could know the flavor of his own blood.
The man who saved Richard from being bitch slapped was Dillon. His
timing made Dillon like a wizard, he was not late, nor was he early, he
arrives precisely when he was needed. It was not getting dangerous for
Sarah until Richard went to grab her and Dillon intervened.
Richard was 6?2,? so he tried to intimidate whoever was interfering by
saying in a dismissive tone, ?Mind you business, boy.?
He turned around and saw that he had to look up to make eye contact
with who he just talked down to. His confident look quickly change to
an apologetic one. With being a bully, he knew he needed to talk his
way out of this one. He couldn't handle someone his own size let alone
someone bigger.
Dillon had fire in his eyes, his nostrils were flaring. He was all
puffed up. In a deadly serious tone, he said, ?This is my business. She
is my date and also she said no to you.?
Richard backed down and left. Dillon faced changed to being sweet, but
with some concern on it. He asked Sarah if she was alright and said he
was sorry that he was not there sooner. Sarah hugged him and said, ?You
were not late, you arrived at the right moment, thank you.?
Even with Dillon being the knight who rode in to save the day, how she
felt when dealing with Richard made her know he was not her knight. The
person she wanted at her side was Cara. Even with being a great person
who Sarah knew she could fall deeply in love with, it was not meant to
be for those two. It could have been, only if the other Giggle Twin did
not have a special home in Sarah?s heart.
Veronica arrived at that moment, making sure her friend was fine. Sarah
could see the chemistry between those two. They were both great people,
when they acted together they were even better. They improved
themselves naturally. They held each other in high esteem and how they
were tending to Sarah, she knew that Veronica should be the queen that
Sir Dillon should give his fidelity to.
The caregivers were satisfied Sarah was back to good so they suggested
to hit the dance floor again. As they were walking out where people can
lose themselves and be free the DJ did a little bit of talking to form
a bridge from fast jams to slow ballads. It was so the DJ could gently
change the vibe of the room and also to give people who do not have a
partner a chance to leave the floor before others started to slow
dance. He played Crazy for You.
James loved that song, so Dillon knew that Sarah would also. The
gentleman took a chance and asked Sarah to dance. Ronnie was so happy
to get a front row seat to that good man in front of her getting with
someone who deserved him.
Sarah was flattered that her date asked and would have said yes if that
incident with Richard had not occurred. ?Dillon I would love to dance,
but....?
That but, it was always that but to Dillon. He knew he was coming in
second place once again. Even with being disappointed in not getting
what he wanted, Dillon was not going to let that ruin the night.
?It would not be fair to you.?
While holding up the pendant, Sarah continued ?You would only get half
of my heart, the other half for now is with Cara.
You should dance with Ronnie. I see how she looks at you and you gave
her the same look when we walked in. You two have so much potential,
see where it goes.?
Ronnie knew her friend was not tryin
