Over the years of teaching and as principal, Yvette King had built up
strong barriers to her feelings. She let them down only once, letting the
charming and witty Ivan King woo her and finally marry her after
admitting that she felt for him after having him be the teacher to her
best friend Karen Smith's children. It was tough to keep their
relationship a secret from other teachers, then keeping it from bleeding
over into their professional lives, but they maintained it thanks to her
barriers.
Ivan and she shared a lot in common and both felt like disappointments to
the other because neither could conceive children due to health issues.
Ivan was sterile, the result of a genetic issue that both delayed his
puberty as well as caused no sperm to be produced. Yvette had a rapidly
developing cancer that caused her to need her reproductive organs removed
before she could preserve her eggs.
The two spent long hours working in a futile effort to stem their
parenthood issues. It was made all the worse as their friends had
fostered and adopted children over the years, giving them sad looks as
the two felt the sting of not doing the same. They had discussed it but
there was always a worry that they weren't good fits and they couldn't
put up with the strain of parenthood in addition to their jobs.
When Flora Nelson came into their lives as a student in late November and
then Piper Stoner had to be placed with her eventual parents, it was all
but impossible to escape the questions about why they weren't trying to
foster children. The two were busy with work but it was not a real excuse
anymore. They were supposed to be role models, yet they always tried to
escape doing the greatest thing for a child: being their parent, foster
or otherwise, to a child in need of love.
Their walls were weakening as Yvette confided to Karen about feeling like
she couldn't host a child because she didn't want that child to have to
move to the city or feel like they were less than the other kids because
they were around so many kids with great families. Karen went at her
directly, telling her, "You know that's a lie. Unless the kid is
suffering from some rare disease that needs them to be close to the
hospital or they have so many friends that they can't live without them
it's just you trying to make excuses. The kids in foster care just want
stability and love, you can give that."
Yvette let that stew for a while. Karen then countered with, "I know it's
because you have no experience with kids outside of school. You haven't
babysat them since high school and even then it was only because I wasn't
able to do it. Give it a try, you can watch Nigel for us this weekend."
Yvette couldn't back out as Karen had already started to call her husband
to set up the date for them. She smirked at Yvette, who was forced to
give in and let her make the date. Ivan wouldn't be happy that she was
outfoxed by Karen, but the man knew better than to argue with her when
she was on a roll.
Karen dropped off Nigel Jr. who proceeded to run through the King home
for an hour until he finally fell asleep. The two were wiped out after
just an hour and there were still three more hours to go. The two knew it
was Nigel acting up because he could but it was still tough for them to
cope with, they weren't ready for little children despite years of
dealing with kids in the classroom.
Nigel woke up after a half hour and was hungry, demanding to be fed
chicken nuggets and french fries or he'd through yet another tantrum. He
was adamant that they get it from a certain restaurant and had a certain
condiment to go with it. The two had never seen him being so angry and
forceful, but to Nigel it was a big game, one they had lost badly and had
paid him handsomely in the form of fast food treats.
Nigel finally calmed down and played with his trains while the two did
some work close by. When he got bored he watched TV and relaxed until
Karen came to pick him up. The two were exhausted as she entered while
Nigel was beaming with pride over breaking the two so easily, nobody had
ever given him a fight quite like they had and nobody had bent over
backwards so easily to appease him.
Karen could only shake her head in disappointment at her young son being
so dramatic toward the couple. If she hadn't been such a close friend
Yvette would have broken off their friendship and run away to a safer
location away from Nigel Jr. Ivan was calmer than Yvette, immediately
seeing that they had been tricked by the boy into doing what he wanted
when he wanted just for his entertainment.
Karen offered them a solemn, "Nobody will blame you when you refuse to
accept that you could be loving parents. You dealt with the worst that a
child can offer, but it wasn't the real Nigel. You know him well enough
to know how he really is, you did better than anyone could have hoped."
Yvette didn't respond, only seeing Karen out before collapsing into
Ivan's arms. The two were quiet for several hours before Ivan softly told
her, "I think we should still do it. I don't want to think that a child
is being put in a home he or she doesn't belong in because we can't
accept the truth. I love you, but I believe that we can do this if we let
ourselves do it. Just think it over again."
The two talked through the afternoon and evening before agreeing to sign
the paperwork to become foster parents. They didn't make a big deal out
of it but when they got approval almost immediately it was met with
thanks from the Department of Children and Families as they were the kind
of parents that the DCF was looking for. They worked full time, owned
their own home, and had a strong support base that were known to them and
who were ready to help if need be.
The next morning, five miles away in the heart of Dorchester three tweens
were dropped off for school by their grandparents. The kids were given
money and told that they'd be late picking them up from school but not to
worry as things would be arranged. The kids walked inside and waved
goodbye, never knowing that it would be the last time that they would see
their grandparents again.
The two drove off in a hurry, retrieved their bags from their apartment,
then drove onto the highway heading due south. They had no intention of
picking up the kids after school, the couple had cut ties with them and
handed over the kids to DCF to take care of while they retired to a condo
in Florida. The kids were dumped on them months before by their father,
he ran off to some place unknown and left his three kids, all from
different mothers, to his parents' mercy.
The kids had a typically bad day in school but once classes were released
they endured the humiliation of DCF awaiting them in the main office.
They became the laughingstock of the school as they were herded out to an
awaiting van with the social worker, a woman by the name of Chloe
Daniels, telling them that they would go to her office for a bit while
she found them a new home. It was tough to do but the trio kept quiet
about what was happening to them, knowing that it was easier on them to
accept their fates than to try to run away.
In the office, Chloe asked the kids their names. They were reluctant to
tell her but gave in when it was clear that she was not going to give up
on asking. It felt like they were under scrutiny for something they
didn't do, but it was pointless to fight Chloe.
The eldest was a well-built boy named Jacob Reid. The youngest was a
medium built yet chubby boy named Joshua Harvey. The middle child
wouldn't tell Chloe anything, but she did have a name listed from the
school: Jordan Hughes, gender of female.
Jordan tried to hide away as Chloe typed on her computer, while the other
two kept up their tough guy facade for Jordan's sake. Chloe made notes
about their demeanor and that they were keeping close watch on her
especially towards Jordan. She noted that Jordan couldn't be easily
distinguished as either a boy or girl and may be one of unfortunate
victims of gender dysphoria or possibly be gender fluid.
After a while, Chloe made some phone calls. She couldn't locate any next-
of-kin for the kids and tried her hardest to find a home that could
accommodate three kids. She especially had trouble as she told the
parents that one of the children was gender unknown, which only caused a
quick refusal by them.
She was at the bottom of her list when she caught sight of two names that
made her smile. Yvette and Ivan were low on the list due to being new to
foster care but were a godsend to her. She was quick to call them and all
but begged them for help, saying, "You are the only ones who can help
them."
Yvette sensed there was something going on which caused Chloe to flinch
but confess, "One is gender unknown. He or she won't talk and the name
assigned at birth is gender neutral. I suspect it's a young girl due to
what looks like small bumps and rounding buttocks but I can't fully tell.
He or she is keeping his or her mouth closed tightly and the boys aren't
saying much but are protecting him or her. There is a gender listed on
the school records, but whether s/he is genetic or transgender is
unknown."
Yvette looked at her husband who nodded, they had to help them out and
would house them. Yvette agreed to take them in but added that she'd talk
with Jordan about what was going on with him or her. She then told Ivan,
"We are getting three kids. Two are boys but the third Chloe hasn't been
able to make as either gender. She believes the third is a girl but could
be fluid or transgender."
Ivan didn't say anything, he went up the spare bedrooms and made the beds
while moving things up to the attic. The couple had to hold off saying
anything as they looked at the rooms, feeling like it was going to be a
tight fit but worth it to them. The kids would have their own bedrooms
while the couple would have a small office upstairs and the kids could
even have room in the basement for fun.
Chloe delivered the trio to the Kings with Ivan noting that Jordan was
definitely a female in the early throes of puberty but not far along so
as to cause her an issue yet if she was male inside. The three were all
dressed in the same clothes with Jordan trying her hardest to hide away
as Ivan looked her over. They expected him to say something but he simply
led them inside and showed them their new rooms.
The kids were thrilled, they had shared a room for years because their
father couldn't afford a bigger apartment. This was even the first time
they'd have their own beds, they had to share a bed for the past five
years. Jordan looked scared at her room with Yvette taking her aside to
talk with her about it.
She sat Jordan on the bed and asked, "Why do you dress like your
brothers?" Jordan had tears in her eyes then confessed, "Dad didn't want
a daughter. Mom dumped me on him when she didn't want me anymore and he
didn't know how to put up with a girl. He bought me the same clothes as
my brothers and told me to act like a boy. When he saw that I was
starting to get boobs back in August he ran off, he didn't want any of us
and couldn't deal with me getting him into trouble for us sleeping
together in the same bed. He could have gotten a bigger apartment but he
didn't want to move and didn't want to pay more money in rent."
Yvette's next question was expected. "Do you feel like a boy inside?
There are many girls who are boys inside and who need to become boys on
the outside to be whole, but it takes a lot of work. It's the same for
boys who are girls inside. If you are one we can help you, my best
friend's daughter was born a boy and her cousin's son was born a girl so
I know all about this kind of thing. If you are a boy inside, I'll try to
help you become one."
Jordan didn't know what to say, she honestly didn't know the answer. She
had been raised as a boy up until that fall and continued to dress like a
boy because her grandparents didn't have money to buy her a set of girls
clothes. She knew she didn't feel like a girl at times because of her
needing to act like a boy but she didn't want to physically become a boy
either.
Yvette let her ponder the question, it was something she needed to talk
with a professional about. She looked in on Ivan and the boys and saw the
two settling in but looking bored. It was understandable, they had been
stuck in Chloe's office for three hours without entertainment.
Ivan let them watch TV then prepared dinner while Yvette took inventory
of their belongings. There wasn't anything in their bags except
schoolbooks and notebooks so they would need to get their things from
their former home. That would be done the next day, when they went to get
some clothes.
She looked in on Jordan and saw her without her sweatshirt, laying on the
bed looking out the window. It was tough to see but she was fighting back
tears, not wanting to cry but needing to. Yvette sat down on the bed and
hugged her tightly, telling her, "It's OK to cry, you had a nasty shock
today."
Jordan let loose with her tears, sobbing into Yvette's shoulder while
Yvette tried her hardest to not let out a cry of he own. Eventually
Jordan stopped, with Yvette telling her, "Boys can cry, especially if
they have undergone what you have. Your hormones are raging and sadly
it's a trait all genetic females have to endure during our puberty. In a
few months or less you will have your first period which will only make
things tougher on you. If you are truly a boy inside it'll be a huge blow
but at least it's one that is manageable, but if you are a girl inside
it's not the end of the world. I know plenty of girls who fought with
boys and who played sports who were able to do as well as the boys. My
best friend was like that and she is a mother of six now and married to
an amazing man."
Jordan felt better and hugged Yvette tightly, laying down again and
thinking about things that were only going to lead to more questions and
deep thoughts. Yvette checked on dinner then brought Jordan downstairs,
letting her eat with the boys. The boys had trouble keeping their eyes
off of Jordan as they saw her boobs pressing out of her shirt, with both
feeling weird at seeing their sister like that.
After dinner Ivan had the boys help clean up while Jordan showered and
changed into a spare nightie that Yvette had. It was too big for her and
looked like a nightgown on her, but it was better than her sleeping nude
or in her clothes. The boys were handed spare shorts and undershirts,
they were too big but they didn't fall off them and could be adjusted to
at least remain on them for the night.
The boys asked what was going on with Jordan when she was brought
upstairs. Ivan sighed and had to carefully explain, "Jordan is growing a
little too large for her clothes and it's too hot for her to wear her
sweatshirt inside. She's growing into a young lady as you two saw, she
needs some special clothes and as much as you are used to sleeping
together it's not good at your age and state of development."
The two blushed as Ivan nodded, adding, "She has two things sticking out
and you have one each. It was alright when you were younger but you
should have had your own rooms a couple of years ago. I can understand
why you didn't, lord knows I do since I had to share a bed with my
roommate in college and grad school. They were good ladies but it was
still a tight fit. But she's too old for that now and in a few months she
will be a woman sexually so it will get messy both figuratively and
literally."
The boys accepted this and went to their rooms to go to sleep. Yvette
hugged and kissed Ivan as he lay in their bed, letting him explain, "They
need 'the talk' soon. I don't think they realize what puberty is and if
they do they don't know how to react to it. They are so used to her being
a boy that they didn't notice that she was becoming a woman. It's awkward
for them but they are accepting the situation."
Yvette didn't say anything about that, it was what she expected. She let
Ivan drift off to sleep while she had to field texts from Karen about the
kids. Yvette felt weird asking Karen for her daughter's old clothes as
well as her son's but her reply of, "Already ready" gave her a big smile
at the foresight.
The kids slept through the night with Yvette finally falling asleep after
she was sure they were asleep and not just faking it. She was the first
up in the morning and had breakfast made before the first of the three
started to stir. She had to grin as Jordan was the first down, wearing
her sweatshirt again to cover up her chest so her brothers didn't react
to seeing her breasts again.
Joshua was next down and gave his sister a blush causing her to
unintentionally lean forward as if she was hiding her chest. Jacob didn't
say anything and tried not to react to seeing Jordan, instead just doing
his best to look away while eating. The three were finished quickly and
waited for Yvette to tell them what to do, sitting in the living room as
Ivan slowly came in and drank his coffee then ate.
When Ivan was properly caffeinated and fed, Yvette had the kids get their
coats on as they needed to go out. The kids didn't ask where they were
going, thinking that it was best to just listen to Yvette while they were
there. It was a tight fit in the car but the kids didn't say anything
about it.
They drove on to Karen's house and saw the kids get scared as they exited
at Yvette's insistence. She was met by Karen who ushered them inside,
telling Jordan to go with Nichole while the boys went with Ethan. Ivan
followed them, letting them know that it was alright and they wouldn't
say anything.
Nichole had her old clothes ready for Jordan but told her mother firmly,
"I don't know if my panties will fit her. She's probably smaller than me.
You would know about bras better than me, she may need one."
Jordan was told to disrobe while they handed her clothes to try on. First
was the panties, which were a little too small for her. Next were
training bras which Jordan had trouble putting on and blushed deeply as
she was told that she was about borderline and would need a regular one
in a month or so.
Nichole showed her the clothes and helped her with the buttons, not
saying anything about her having a problem putting the blouses on as well
as the jeans. The ladies left the room while Nichole helped her further,
it was easier for Jordan to have Nichole help. Nichole had her trying on
everything quickly while also giving her a chance to decompress before
moving on to the next piece of clothing.
Jordan asked her timidly, "How do you know about the buttons being
wrong?" Nichole didn't bat an eye and confessed, "I'm transgender. I wore
boys clothes until I was five and had to learn how to put on girls
clothes on my own because I didn't have a mom at the time. It takes a
while to get used to the buttons but it becomes easier."
Jordan looked at her shocked. Nichole then confessed, "I had my surgery
so I look like a girl down there as you can see. A guy tried to hurt my
cousin, who is also transgender, and I got in the way so he cut my
privates and made it possible for me to become a girl on the outside. The
only real difference now between me and other girls is I can't have
periods. My friends just started to have them and they suck."
Jordan mumbled a timid, "I don't know if I'm really a girl. Dad raised me
as a boy and said I was a boy and treated me like a boy even though I'm a
girl on the outside. I don't know if I am one."
Nichole figured out already what was going to happen with Jordan so told
her, "Aunt Yvette will take you to a special doctor who will talk to you
about this. She is good with kids, she doesn't let you lie to her. She
will know if you are really a girl or a boy. I think you are a girl, you
aren't fighting me over trying on the clothes and you didn't flinch at
them being pink and white instead of black and blue."
Jordan hadn't noticed it but she was right, everything was either white
or pink and were clearly meant for girls. She looked at Nichole who
added, "You don't have to wear them for long, Aunt Yvette is going to get
you more clothes. You can get darker clothes and look like a boy if you
want but it's just until then. You wouldn't fit in my friends' clothes
and you needed more bras and proper panties anyway."
The two walked out with Nichole waiting for her mother to say something.
Yvette explained to them, "We are going shopping in a bit but need to get
whatever is left at their apartment. I know it's probably not a lot but
it's better than nothing and it's best to have some mementos."
The girls didn't say anything, Karen then added, "Dr. Bell has an
appointment for Jordan in a couple of days. She knows you aren't a
typical case but it's needed and until we know more you can continue to
be as you need to be but beware of others' feelings. Not everyone accepts
kids like you, Jordan."
Nichole gave her a nod but didn't say anything. Jordan didn't react
either, she was told this already and had an inkling that she would be
facing trouble just based on how kids treated her already. She had been
enrolled as a boy by her father but the school had an issue with it and
there were a lot of fights over her, with her grandparents siding with
the school that year and enrolling her as a girl.
The boys had an easier time as they were the same size as Ethan and
didn't say anything about having to try on the clothes. Ethan had a lot
of clothes, complaining that his mother bought him too many of everything
and kept adding on when he didn't need new stuff. It didn't help that he
had a growth spurt recently which meant he had a lot of ill-fitting
clothes taking up space.
The boys drew the line at underwear. Ethan just laughed and asked,
"Boxers or briefs" getting an odd look then a laugh from the boys as they
realized he was joking. They hadn't though about it before but they did
have to admit that they weren't fans of boxers so said jointly, "Briefs"
getting a nod from Ethan.
The four walked outside and were met by a crooked smirk from Karen. Jacob
was about to ask what was going on but Yvette quickly told them, "We are
going to your old apartment to get whatever you need from there. Jordan
needs to get a few things from the store after. Please don't make a big
deal out of it because it's something she needs to do and she won't say
anything about it."
The boys saw Jordan blushing and realized it had to do with her boobs
causing them to blush but not say anything about it. The five left
Karen's house with Karen giving Yvette a happy look, trying her hardest
not to say anything about her sudden morph into a caring mother from the
nervous wreck she had been before. It was one thing to care for Nigel Jr.
for a few hours, caring for the kids was different.
The drive to Boston was done in silence as the kids were left thinking
about what was going on. They directed Yvette to where they lived, with
Yvette not saying anything about the fact that they lived in a retirement
complex. The kids didn't realize it but it made sense now as their
neighbors were all elderly.
They were met by representatives from the housing authority, the owners
of the complex. The kids had to explain who they were and why they were
there, with the housing personnel complaining that they had no right to
be there but Ivan pointed out their grandparents lived there and they
were dumped there. It was tense but the kids were known to the neighbors
who vouched for them really living there.
Chloe arrived to help, with her husband Mike joining her. Mike helped the
boys pack up while Jordan packed up up living room and kitchen. It was
quick work as there wasn't much that they owned and their grandparents
had taken most of their belongings already.
Chloe and Yvette talked about Jordan as she finished gathering her own
things from their old room. Yvette was blunt in stating, "Her father
raised her as a boy until she started to blossom then ran off instead of
owning up to being a father of a girl. She is confused about her gender
but she might need some time with girls her own age who accept her for
herself. Nichole has already started to get her to break down her shell
and accept her femininity."
There was an unsaid agreement between the two, Jordan would see Dr. Edith
Bell to talk about what she was as a person. Chloe asked about their
night as a whole, getting a smile and soft, "They were good. There was a
little hiccup when they saw Jordan without her sweatshirt, I don't think
they realized she was starting to grow breasts nor that she may have
periods soon. We will talk with them about it."
Chloe had what she needed, the kids were thriving so far and Yvette was
starting to accept what was going on with the kids. It was tough on her
but it wasn't a surprise, she was trying hard to deal with her role as a
mother to the kids. Ivan was clearly enjoying being a dad simply by his
leading the boys.
Outside the kids showed just how little they had as Yvette and Chloe
inspected their clothes. They had only a few changes of clothes, just
three jeans, a set of boys pajamas, and six shirts to go along with the
clothes they wore the day before. Jordan didn't have any sort of girly
things, all of her clothes were the same as her brothers' and even her
underwear matched.
They didn't have any pictures of trinkets, just some old school items.
They were asked if that was it, all three said a somber, "Grandma and
grandpa didn't get us anything and dad ran off with everything we had."
The boys looked at Jordan who added, "Dad kept all of our important
things, he didn't want you to go after him in case grandpa and grandma
got in trouble with DCF."
Chloe asked if they knew his name, getting told, "We don't know. Everyone
called him Nacho. Grandma and Grandpa will know all about him." They knew
that it was just cover for him, if the kids didn't know his real name
they couldn't find him.
The group left the apartment for the housing people to clean out. They
wanted to charge the kids for the removal of the leftover things but Mike
pointed out, "It's not their place as you pointed out. They never
officially lived here so the ones who owe you are their grandparents. Go
after them, not the kids."
Mike showed his badge and dared them to try. They were left alone and
allowed to walk away, driving home to the King home where Mike carried
most of the items inside. Yvette started to wash everything while the
kids decorated their rooms with their trinkets, making the rooms their
own.
Mike and Chloe left to check up on their sons and daughter allowing the
five to head out for the needed shopping trip. Yvette took Jordan to the
girls section while Ivan reluctantly took the boys to the boys section.
The boys giggled at Jordan getting a bra which Ivan added a swift, "We
can get you one if you want" almost causing the boys to trip over
themselves as they apologized and walked away fast.
The boys clammed up after that while Ivan gave them a grin that showed it
was a joke but also to warn them not to tease Jordan about something she
couldn't control. The boys were quick in finding what they needed leading
to Ivan joking that they were so much alike that they were almost twins.
The boys laughed at that, it wasn't true as they were born two weeks
apart but they were as close as twins.
Over in the young ladies section, Yvette struggled with how to help
Jordan with her bra issue. Jordan had accepted the reality that she was
becoming a woman and needed to wear one but seeing the large selection
she was overwhelmed as much as Yvette was. Yvette quelled her anxiety and
just went at it, seeing the smallest cup bras and offering her own
recollection of shopping allowing her to focus.
She had Jordan try on several different sizes and styles and chose the
ones that fit best while also being the least feminine. Jordan
appreciated that she was trying to take her tastes into consideration and
when she stopped feeling weird over needing a bra she allowed herself to
feel the soft textures and appreciate the heft on her chest as her small
mounds were encased in the soft materials. She had her favorites in the
small selection, which Yvette agreed with and found in several different
colors.
With that out of the way, she showed Jordan how to adjust the straps, put
them on and off, and how to coordinate the colors so her bra wasn't
visible through her shirts. It was easier with t-shirts than blouses but
it was still something that she needed to know. Jordan didn't say
anything, letting Yvette teach her while accepting that it was part of
being female and she had to know what she was being taught.
The two started to look for clothes and found some t-shirts that were
unisex while finding jeans that were feminine yet not too feminine.
Jordan didn't like it but Yvette explained how the cut of the jeans would
be better for her developing body as her butt and thighs would grow
larger making it tight in the wrong spots leading to chafing. It was the
same for guys, they didn't fit the same and bunched up.
She giggled at that but Yvette shook her head, explaining, "It's true,
you can ask Nichole, Mia, and Kylie about that soon. I expect them to
want to help you get adjusted to school. I'd have you talk with Maisie
too but she is indisposed at the moment. The girls are your age so deal
with the same issues as you."
Jordan asked if they were like Nichole, getting a somber, "They are, in
too many ways. Maisie had to undergo surgery two weeks ago while Mia and
Kylie lost their testicles. It was a terrible thing for all of them so
please ton ask about it. They are transgender, but they are the best
girls you will ever meet."
The two moved on to pajamas and what they had wasn't to Jordan's liking.
She was ready to cry over the selection until Yvette calmly explained,
"We can find some better ones in a store that caters to girls your age or
one that caters to women as a whole. I know you are fighting things but I
think you haven't had the chance to be a girl and see just what things
are available for girls to wear nor how things feel compared with boy
clothes."
She picked out several packages of panties, explaining, "As much as I
think you may enjoy wearing the boxers your brothers wear, they won't
work with your pants as they'll be too baggy in all of the wrong spots.
They would show no matter how much you move them around, and they would
make things too hot in your crotch. I'll talk with you later about some
of the issues that you need to avoid with that as it is a bit personal
and embarrassing. Again, it's not your fault that you didn't know."
The two finally finished shopping, with Ivan asking what took them so
long. Jordan gave him a sad look which Ivan took to mean it was her
specialized items causing him to back away in shame while the boys
readied to help their sister. Ivan led them off so Yvette could pay,
telling them he was sorry.
Yvette calmed Jordan, offering her a warm, "He's not one for shopping. He
didn't mean to make it seem like he was trying to tease you, he was doing
a sexist joke about women taking a while to shop. He was trying to be
funny but Ivan is a terrible comedian- sadly, most guys are."
It wasn't what she had thought but it still stung. Yvette led her out,
then sat her in a chair and confessed, "It's a thing with guys. They go
shopping and they go in and out in minutes. They don't waste time with
looking at things and comparing sizes and styles or even different prices
and sales. Your brothers did the same as him, I think it's genetic. The
boys were quick to finish and were getting antsy, hence the little joke.
It's not meant to insult you. Ivan's an amazing man, but his humor falls
flat most times."
Jordan let it go. Yvette was seeing that she had a lot to deal with
thanks to the gender issues. She was fighting a losing battle against
herself, she just wasn't used to girls and women and reactions of guys.
At home, the trio put their clothes away. Yvette then took Jordan with
her to shop at the stores that the boys couldn't or wouldn't go to, ones
targeted at girls. Jordan was scared to death about the stores but as she
entered it wasn't anything like she had thought.
Yvette led her over to where the pajamas were, letting her see that there
was styles that made her look cute while also covering up what she didn't
want to show. It was tough to find a style that didn't show off too much
skin but there were several pajama sets in her size that, while feminine,
still let her have some feeling of being covered. Jordan gave in and
tried on several sets, loving the feel of them all.
She had a tough time choosing what she liked, and when she finally did
she was fighting tears at seeing herself in the pajamas as she looked so
girly. If not for her haircut she would have been a normal girl, she was
seeing Jordan the young lady shining through while Jordan the boy was
fading away. It took all of her strength to no run off at seeing the
sight, but it felt right in her eyes to see herself looking girly.
Yvette paid for the pajamas as well as two robes to cover herself when
she felt like being covered. In the car, she offered Jordan a needed hug,
letting the girl cry herself out. When she finally stopped, Jordan looked
up at Yvette and asked, "Am I a girl now? I saw a girl in the mirror, she
was me but she had a boy's haircut. I don't like seeing that, I don't
like thinking I have to be a boy anymore."
She started wailing, forcing Yvette to hug her tighter and kiss her
forehead. It was the revelation that she needed, the realization that she
was female inside as well as outside. The days of Jordan pretending to be
a boy were over, Jordan's female side had broken the facade and shined
through letting her be the girl that she truly wanted to be from the
start.
It took several minutes for Jordan to calm down but when she stopped
crying Yvette softly asked, "Now that you saw what you could look like if
you allowed yourself to look like a girl, do you still feel that you are
a boy?" Jordan sniffled then mumbled a concerned, "I'm a girl. I can't be
a boy anymore. Boys don't have boobs or big butts. I can't go back to
being a boy, not if I look like a girl now."
She fought tears as she added a somber yet forceful, "I like how I looked
in the mirror. I looked like I was a normal girl. I am a girl. I need to
be a girl. I can't pretend to be a boy any longer."
There was still doubts in Jordan but it wasn't too bad, she just needed
to talk with someone who could guide her. Yvette asked her warmly, "Have
you heard about boys who were born in girls' bodies but who became boys
on the outside? I know a couple of them and they are great men."
Jordan looked down in shame at not knowing that. Yvette just smiled and
offered a happy, "It's alright, this is new to you. You could talk with
Diego or Cameron about this if you are still feeling like you are a boy
inside when you calm down later, they would be willing to talk with you
about this."
Jordan didn't respond just, looking out at the highway as they drove
home. As they pulled in Jacob and Joshua looked at Jordan's bags and
snickered. Jordan ran off in shame, fighting tears at the teasing her
brothers had given her over what she didn't want to own.
Ivan just shook his head then uttered a firm, "Your sister is having
trouble enough as it is with her body changing. You wouldn't like it if
she teased you about your clothes that you chose to get, don't tease her
about the clothes that she needed to get. It's tough on her being treated
like a girl for the first time, she needs you to act like her brothers
and not like tormentors. Lord knows, there will be plenty of them in
school on Tuesday. Even with some help from Nichole's friends, there will
be some tormentors."
The boys looked away in shame, with Joshua offering a solemn, "Jordan's
really a girl, isn't she? She's not going to be our brother again, she's
just going to go off and play with dolls and kiss boys. She's not going
to wrestle with us or play basketball or fight bullies anymore. Our
brother is gone, some girl is we don't know is taking over."
Jacob offered a defeated, "She never was our brother, she was just
treated like she was our brother. Dad was too lazy or cheap to treat her
differently. We knew when we were four that we were different. We saw
that we had wieners and she didn't. She was always our sister, we just
didn't see it because of dad."
Joshua looked at his brother in shock but Jacob was adamant, telling him
harshly, "Why do you think she was always the first one up and changed in
the bathroom? Why do you think she kept away from us when we talked about
girls and what the boys were doing in the bathroom and showers? She was
never a boy, she is our sister. The only thing have in common between is
is that she likes girls, she had a crush on her lab partner for weeks
that she kept from you because you'd tease her."
Yvette asked if that was maybe causing her trouble, getting a nod and
timid, "Joshua has had girls all over him so he never had to work to get
their attention. He didn't see how she was acting with the girls and how
she tried to kiss them last year before they slapped her. I did. She
likes girls."
Yvette went up to Jordan's room to talk with her, only to find her crying
into her pillow. She sat down on the bed and hugged the sobbing girl,
explaining to her, "Joshua is still having trouble accepting that you are
different than your brothers. You are a girl physically and are acting
more and more like one mentally now that you are accepting yourself
physically. Jacob is talking with him about it, he accepted your
femininity a while ago and didn't say anything because he didn't want to
upset you. He knows your true feelings and your true sexuality. He loves
you no matter what."
Jordan looked up in shame while Yvette explained, "You didn't realize it
but you started to act different around girls. You had eyes for your
partner, you acted like he acted with girls. It's tough to accept but
girls can like girls. I know of several beautiful young ladies who like
girls, Nichole's cousins like them as does Ivan's colleague Katie."
The two didn't say much for a few minutes before Jordan mumbled an angry,
"I wish I had a mom. I hate being mixed up because dad didn't want a girl
and made me into his third son. I hate not knowing what is going on with
me. I wish I had a real mom."
Another major issue was emerging from her, one of frustration and anger
as well as the longing for maternal support. She just wanted a mom,
someone who could understand her instead of treating her weird. She
needed support and advice, but the ones who should have helped fled their
responsibilities.
Yvette hugged and kissed her, letting her lay down and rest while she
went downstairs to speak with the boys. The boys tried to apologize, but
Yvette offered a firm, "Don't tease her anymore, she's struggling with
being a girl. She is feeling messed up inside and your teasing will only
cause her trouble. She just wants you to love her as herself. If you
can't do that it could cause major issues and severely harm her."
The boys didn't respond, but Jacob hugged her to show that he understood.
Joshua was taking longer to accept what was going on, he was struggling
with the whole situation. He had hopes of their father returning to get
them and bring them home but Jacob and Jordan had given up hope months
before.
When dinner came, Jordan reluctantly faced her brothers. The two hugged
her while Joshua kissed her, showing that he was OK with her being the
girl that she was born as. Jordan hugged him back, kissing his cheek and
saying a warm, "I love you too, little brother."
The kids went to bed not having much else to do and having a lot to think
about involving their lives. They hated their situation but were willing
to accept that they were not going to have a real family until they
started their own after age 18. The boys were especially feeling
terrible, it was finally dawning on them that their lives were now some
of the most complicated, almost soap-operatic around.
The next morning, Jordan awoke to a shock as she felt her pajama top
gliding across her chest as she rolled over in her new bed. She looked
down and remembered the shopping trip and smiled at how she felt in the
top and how great it felt to spread out in bed. It was tough to admit to
herself but she did enjoy how her skin felt and she didn't itch like
before from the cheap pajamas they used to wear.
She walked to the bathroom and saw herself in the mirror, only she saw a
sleepy girl looking back as opposed to the tired, cranky boy from two
days before. She kept herself from crying again, but she was feeling like
she wasn't the same anymore. She was accepting that she was a girl and
not a boy like everyone had claimed she was and liking her look, it felt
right for her.
Joshua complained that she was hogging the bathroom which brought her
back down to earth. The boy looked at her oddly but didn't say anything,
just letting her leave so he could do his business. He said a
complaining, "Already starting to act like a girl" which she let go, he
didn't mean it to sound mean.
Jacob heard his complaint and offered a hearty, "You know how he is when
he gets up. He is the most like dad and you know how dad was with us in
the morning. You did take a while though, I guess it is something all
girls do."
She didn't respond, just walked away and got dressed in her new jeans, t-
shirt, bra, and panties. It took her longer than expected to get dressed
but once she had her bra on it was like she was a whole new person. The
mounds on her chest stood out, she had a shapely butt and hips, and
except for the short haircut she looked like any other 11 or 12-year-old
girl.
Yvette checked in on her and waited for her to stop preening in front of
the mirror. When Jordan turned and saw her, Yvette offered a caring,
"It's the real you, the real Jordan Hughes. You really are a pretty young
lady. If you want, we can get you a wig to wear until your hair grows out
enough to style it so people don't mistake you for a boy anymore"
Jordan nodded tearfully, causing Yvette to hug her tightly and give her a
chance to settle down. The two were quiet for a few minutes until Yvette
told her, "You can call me 'mom' if you want. I don't mind you doing that
if it helps you. Ivan would be proud to be called 'dad' but it may take
you a while."
Jordan shed a tear and blurted out a sad, "You are the mom I always
wanted. Dad got mom pregnant alongside Joshua's and Jacob's moms and she
ran off when they all found out. Grandma didn't like us and wouldn't do
girl things with me. I asked her a couple of times and she said I was
better off. I want a mom, please be our mom. Please."
The dam broke and Jordan had her long-needed breakdown as the gravity of
her new life hit her hard. Yvette could see it coming and needed the
right way to spark it, not expecting her to immediately ask for adoption
though. It was a tough thing to consider as it was still fresh and they
were still new to one another and may not be as good of a fit as a family
as they believed.
Yvette looked down at Jordan's pleading eyes and wanted to say yes, but
sadly explained, "It's too early for that. As much as I would love to
adopt you three I can't do it yet. Your mothers need to be found, as does
your father and your grandparents. It's going to be a tough situation but
if you still feel this way in a week or two then we will talk about it.
Until then, please don't think we don't love you because it's not the
truth. Both Ivan and I love the three of you as if you were our own and
just want what is best for you. You have given me so many special gifts
that I never imagined receiving, just by being you."
The two dried their tears and washed their tear-stained faces before
going downstairs for breakfast, first sharing hugs and kisses as they
exited their bedrooms then calming themselves so as to not give the guys
something to talk about. Ivan had already started cooking and had their
plates ready, with the boys milking their own meals so as to wait for
their sister to eat alongside them. Jordan didn't say anything, but the
looks she was giving Ivan and Yvette were new and different.
The kids finally finished and watched TV in the living room while Yvette
cleaned the dishes. When the adults were out of earshot, Jacob asked,
"What was that all about? You were gone for a while and you kept giving
Yvette and Ivan weird looks."
Seeing no way to lie to her brothers, Jordan muttered a timid, "I asked
Yvette to be our mom. I hate not having one, I need a mom to show me what
to do. You guys have had dad telling you a lot of things, but I am a girl
and I need a mom to tell me how to act, dress, clean, think, and deal
with boys. Don't think I don't know about your special guy talks, dad
would only do them when I wasn't around but I heard them. He didn't want
me to know things that he was trying to teach you, like how to pick up
girls and get them to do what you want. You got mad when they wouldn't
work on me, I heard them and wouldn't let you trick me into doing what
you wanted."
The two blushed as they realized she wasn't actually away with friends as
she claimed. She was right, he would tell them things he wouldn't tell
her and a lot of things involved girls. He tried to make her out to be a
boy but he still treated her differently, almost like he hated that she
was there and only put up with her because he had to.
Jacob looked away in shame, while Joshua confessed, "Dad said you are too
much like your mom. She was a good woman who he had betrayed and cost him
his other girlfriends. She was smart and a good leader and you were
starting to be both of those things. It was tough to accept. You are a
girl. No matter how much you look like a boy on the outside, you are you
mom's daughter and he didn't like that about you. You made him see that
he was a selfish jerk for what he did to your mom. He hated being wrong."
Ivan looked over at Yvette who had him hold off saying anything. The two
had needed to have that talk with her for a while but never had the
encouragement to do so. It explained a lot about Jordan and why she was
in such turmoil, the girl was treated like a boy until it was too hard to
treat her like one and was manipulated by a man who couldn't accept his
mistakes because his biggest was staring back at him.
The kids looked at Ivan and Yvette with the same longing expression. Ivan
was bolder than Yvette in his intentions, declaring, "I'll talk with a
lawyer about you three and file the paperwork. You deserve a chance to
have a better life and we can't let you feel like we only want you
because we feel bad."
The kids hugged him tightly, with the boys crying into his shoulder while
Jordan smiled at Yvette who herself was brought to tears over the boys'
sudden burst of affection. The five settled down for a bit and awaited
visitors who were expected shortly. The boys stuck close to Yvette as
they waited, trying hard to let her know that they were glad that they
were adopting them but not too hard to show eagerness.
As expected, the doorbell rang and Nigel Jr. burst into the house
followed closely by his best friend/2nd cousin Billy Pena. Their mothers
entered after them, trying hard to quell their eagerness but failing.
They were soon followed by Nichole and Ethan and another girl, introduced
to them as Kylie Pena.
Jordan saw Kylie and immediately felt a stirring inside of her. She felt
like she was looking at an angel, a girl who was beautiful and filling
out in all the right places. She couldn't keep her eyes off of her.
Yvette and Kylie's mother Kennedy shared a mutual look of shock and awe.
Kylie was oblivious to the looks but Nichole directed her attention away
from Jordan to allow the girl to gather her wits. She didn't need to be
told what was going on, Jordan clearly had a crush on Kylie.
The girls led Jordan upstairs while the boys stayed with Ethan. When they
were gone, the boys asked what was going on with Jordan as she was acting
weird around Kylie. Ethan blushed at realizing the truth, offering a
happy, "Jordan likes Kylie. Kylie likes girls so maybe she can like
Jordan back."
The boys looked at Yvette for help but she was just smiling away. Ethan
asked firmly, "Is that wrong? Your sister can like girls, there are
plenty of girls who like girls. Our cousins like girls."
Jacob quelled the brewing anger with a solid, "She is just new to being a
normal girl, she may not like girls and might be acting like that because
of how we were taught. Our dad taught us that girls are just big boobs
and no brains and only good for sex." Ethan again countered with, "That's
not going to change who she is, you don't like boys or girls because you
are brought up that way. If that was true then a few girls we know would
like guys instead of girls."
The boys didn't know what he meant, Yvette had to explain, "Kylie is
transgender and she likes girls. Nichole is transgender and likes boys.
Their cousin Jaimie is transgender and is engaged to a boy but their
other cousin Rachel is dating a girl who is transgender. It isn't
learned, it's who she is. She likes girls but she hasn't acted on those
feelings yet, you said so already but now you know it's true."
The boys let it go and spent time playing with Ethan and the younger boys
while the adults talked. Up in Jordan's room, the girls started to talk
about Jordan and her night. Jordan had trouble talking, she kept feeling
weird every time she looked over at Kylie.
Eventually Kylie stopped and asked what was wrong. Jordan started to cry
and tried to run off but was held by Kylie. On impulse, Jordan kissed
her, leading to Kylie kissing her back.
Nichole just stood back and was stunned into silence. Jordan cowered in
the corner, afraid of what to do now that Kylie knew what was going on.
Kylie instead grabbed her and hugged her, then sat her on the bed to calm
her before trying to say something.
Kylie was bolder and asked, "Do you like me?" Jordan nodded, to which
Kylie smiled and added, "I think you are pretty too. There aren't many
girls who like girls in our school and those that do don't like me
because of what I have,.or rather what I used to have."
Jordan asked what that was, getting a soft, "I have a penis. I'm
transgender. I lost my testicles two weeks ago because of some nasty boys
kidnapping us. Girls don't like me because I don't have a vagina yet. A
few say I'm not a real girl no matter how much I change myself."
Jordan looked down in shame, Nichole explained, "She's one of the girls I
told you about. Her cousin Mia is also like her and she likes girls but
she is dating Fiona Nelson. People don't like us because of what we have
or had so it's hard to find people who like us for ourselves."
Jordan didn't believe that Kylie was born a boy but Nichole had no reason
to lie to her about something like that. Nichole also added, "She's the
biggest girl among us, she always wears dresses and skirts even when it's
too cold to wear them. The boys said she'd freeze her balls off which she
hated."
Kylie glared at her but Jordan just smiled as it was so sweet and funny.
Kylie offered her a kiss on the cheek which Jordan returned, then hugged
her. The two were silent while Nichole got their things together so they
could show her what they were doing in school.
They three went downstairs and it was easy to see that Kylie had some lip
gloss smudged while Jordan had tear stains on her face. Their parents
didn't ask what happened, knowing that it was likely the two sharing
their affections and letting some of their tension out. It was also the
indication to Yvette and Ivan that there needed to be some ground rules
for the kids later on.
The adults walked off to the kitchen with the two terrors keeping busy in
their own little area off to the side. They kept a close eye on the girls
but started to see something else immediately as Joshua was giving the
same looks to Nichole that Jordan gave to Kylie. He wasn't aware of it
but Jacob was.
The girls showed the siblings what they were doing in school and where
they needed to focus to catch up to the others in their class. It was a
tough job but they managed to slog through it, with the trio not even
trying to question what they were doing wrong or how they knew so much so
soon. Kylie let them in on the bad news: their class was going to be the
remedial class but it was only due to there being no room in the other
classes and they were the first to move to the new class coming in
January.
Nichole had to explain further, "Your teacher is a substitute, there will
be a new one teaching because the old teacher was fired for being
terrible to Maisie and Fiona and letting kids torment them. She was a bad
teacher who had sex with the superintendent, the new teacher is a good
teacher who was fired because the superintendent was stealing money. Mrs.
Porter is hiring a better one to take over the rest of the class but you
are stuck with the remedial kids for a couple of weeks."
Jacob shook his head and countered, "Our old school wasn't that good and
our teacher was a mean old lady who hated kids. Any teacher is better
than her, she only kept working because she had no family and would
rather die in class than live alone. Jordan was left alone and nobody
bothered her because they didn't want to get in trouble but our teacher
hated her because she couldn't get rid of her without getting rid of us
too. She just told her to keep quiet and don't cause trouble for her."
The two looked at Jordan sadly, but Jordan didn't respond. It had been
eating at them for a while but she never said anything about the
mistreatment nor did she respond in any way. It infuriated their former
teacher that she didn?t fight back, but it was the most mature response
she could give.
The kids didn't say anything further and just sat down and waited for
their parents to end their talk in the kitchen. The kids weren't sure
what to do so just watched TV while Billy and Nigel played. They finally
finished talking after a half hour, with Kennedy walking them out while
Karen looked over at the kids trying hard not to look sad at the girls
leaving.
Inside the car, Kennedy asked Kylie, "How was your first kiss with a
girl?" Kylie blushed deeply, to which Kennedy added, "It's something to
always remember. Whatever prompted it had to have been a big thing as the
two of you looked different when you came back down. She is still
struggling with who she is so the two of you need to take things slow.
She does seem to like you, but it is still early and it may be hormonal
and her catching mutual interest of a girl for the first time."
At home, Kylie ran up to her room before her father Willie and brother
Reed saw her. Both asked what happened, only to be given a sly grin and
cryptic, "She found someone who may like her. Don't go too far into it as
it's still a sore spot for them. She did discover that a girl likes her
for herself though."
Willie didn't say anything while Reed went upstairs to check in on his
sister. She was crying into her pillows, which was her normal way of
dealing with something shattering in her life. Reed calmly and carefully
explained, "Dad won't say anything, he just wants you to be safe. Mom is
alright with your kiss and if it helps her accept what's happening to her
then it's all the better."
Kylie stopped crying but didn't move until Willie hugged and kissed her.
He offered her a timid, "You like her a lot, don't you?" Kylie nodded,
explaining, "She's the first girl who liked me back and didn't think that
I was a freak or weirdo for liking girls. The girls aren't nice to me,
you know that. She is the first girl who actually let me get close enough
to kiss her. She's pretty and kisses nice too."
That last part came out without thinking, Jordan was a good kisser.
Willie offered a hearty, "Keep the kissing to a minimum. You two are
still finding yourselves, so take it slow. She does like you though."
At the King home, Joshua asked Jordan if she kissed Kylie. Jordan blushed
while Jacob offered her a teasing, "She has her lip gloss on her cheeks
and nose. It looks like they missed their lips."
Jordan blushed again while Jacob hugged her tightly, kissing her cheek.
Jacob then teased, "Joshua likes Nichole so it's not that funny anyway.
He kept looking at her chest and butt."
Jacob had to run as Joshua chased him. He didn't want him to say anything
about that, he liked her but didn't want anyone else to know. Jordan
loved that her brother found Nichole attractive, he deserved a chance at
love and Nichole was pretty and smart as well as nice- just like him.
The kids entertained themselves for the rest of the afternoon and evening
before eating a quiet dinner. They knew the next day they would have to
return to school to pass in their books but also had to meet with their
new teacher and principal. They wouldn't have Yvette and Ivan with them,
it was going to be the first time since the couple took them in that they
were spending time away from them.
The kids were up early the next morning. Joshua was upset that he had a
wet dream and tried to hide his sheets and pajamas in the laundry while
his brother consoled him. Jacob told him to stop thinking about Nichole
but it was tough for him to do and led to an awkward time in the bathroom
as he hide his reaction from Jacob as the mere mention of her caused him
to react.
Jacob complained to Jordan that the two of them were acting like lovesick
puppies, which only caused the two to blush and look away in shame.
Yvette and Ivan wisely stayed out of it, instead telling the boys that
they would have to handle their own laundry now that they showed they
were old enough to do them on their own. The two weren't happy but
realized it was due to Joshua's accident and was their way of showing
them that they were trusted enough to clean up after themselves.
The three were dropped off at a house they didn't know a short time
later, being met at the door by a woman who introduced herself as Valerie
Finn and was a close friend of Ivan and Yvette. She explained to them
that she was going to take them to their school and obtain their records
then show them their new school and meet their new teacher. She hesitated
then explained, "As much as they'd like you in their class, you
unfortunately won't have Kylie or Nichole with you. Their class is full
but your teacher is just as good so it won't be so bad."
The kids knew this already but it still hurt to hear it confirmed.
Valerie ushered them into the minivan and drove to their school in the
heart of Dorchester, with the three not saying a word until they stopped.
It was tough to see the neighborhood but it was countered by a feeling
that it was truly over for them.
Valerie asked if they had all of their books then took them inside to the
main office to speak with the principal. She presented the paperwork
showing a change of custody and that they were living in a new city and
thus were to be enrolled in school there. It was standard for them, but
it was still something that had to take a few minutes to complete as the
secretary verified everything.
The kids were asked if they had anything personal in the school, getting
a somber, "We have books and other things in our lockers. We don't want
to lose them when the school empties the lockers. We were warned that the
school always clean out them during vacation."
The three were walked over to where their lockers were and took out some
mementos from their time in school. There were several pictures of them
and their father, as well as of the three. In the corner Valerie spotted
a note from their dad, which was what they wanted most of all.
Valerie led them out but had to stop off in their classroom to return
their books. The principal escorted them, then had their former teacher
informed, "Jordan Hughes, Joshua Harvey, and Jacob Reid have been taken
into care of DCF and are not residing in Dorchester thus are no longer
going to be attending school here. They are returning their books to you
as per our rules."
He gave Valerie a, "Watch this" look which led to their teacher
proclaiming, "It's about time that little brat was kicked out of here. I
don't know how you let that little freak dress like that. Those kids
should be banned from school and kept away from normal children. Lord
knows Jordan was a pain to all."
Valerie smirked while the principal stated, "Thank you, madame. You have
made my decision to seek your termination at the end of the year all the
more easier. As you are well aware you have only been remained employed
at this school due to your record but you have just sullied that. Mrs.
Finn here will ensure that the union will know that you have just berated
and insulted the foster children of a fellow union member and former
member. Mrs. Finn is herself the wife of a colleague as well as the aunt
of another. That's in addition to her legal work for the unions of both
Winnisimmet and your own. It was her advice that got you your most recent
raises so it will be tough for you to go against her on this."
Valerie grinned then stated, "There were no violations of the school's
dress code nor were there any actual complaints against Jordan Hughes so
your remarks are out of line." The teacher complained, "That's a boy in a
dress with fake breasts! I know damn well it's a boy as his father said
so himself, yet you forced him on us by claiming to be a girl!"
Valerie angrily shot back, "Jordan is female, which was why she was
allowed to use the girls' restroom. If she was not she would have been
required to use the disabled restrooms instead. She is also in the throes
of puberty and developing breasts naturally, those aren't fake. Just
because she never wore a bra, which was due to economic issues and her
father's ill-advised choice to raise her as male, doesn't mean she isn't
a female. And regardless, you have no right to force your views on her.
You may not like that the rights of transgender children are being
adhered to, but you don't have the right to violate them."
Turning to the principal, Valerie added, "As she has shown a bias against
Jordan, her teacher will ignore the remarks. She has received help in
learning our curriculum so your school will not be blamed if there are
any issues." Turning to the teacher, she added, "Her new foster mother is
a principal so she will ensure that she receives a proper education, one
that she wasn't receiving due to you."
As she left she could hear the students in class laughing at their
teacher while the principal grinned. He had gotten rid of a bad seed and
showed the students that school was changing and the old thoughts were
going away. Jordan was not well liked in school but they knew she was
protected regardless.
The four drove on to their new school and met with Alice Porter in her
office. Alice looked over their records and noticed that Jordan had a lot
of complaints against her which was tough to accept by Alice. She asked
what that was about, getting a cringe from Jordan while the boys got
ready to protect her.
Valerie let out a deep sigh then explained, "Jordan is a young lady who
is now being allowed to live as the girl that she was born as. She was
raised from birth to be a boy but is not actually male. Before you ask,
she is female internally and externally. She isn't transgender, just
gender confused because of a man who was too cheap and lazy to raise a
daughter."
Alice asked what that was about, getting a stern, "Their father didn't
want to raise a girl and move into an apartment that would accommodate
her needs so he raised three boys instead. He dumped them on their
grandparents when she started to blossom this past summer so it has been
tough on them. She is just now learning how to be a girl, from her
clothes to her actions to her emotions. She is struggling to live with
the reality that she is in puberty and starting to change into a woman
while her brothers are still lagging behind as boys often do."
Alice just nodded and looked at the notes from their teacher followed by
notations by their former principal. It was clear that he was dealing
with a classic, "I know everything" old school teacher who was too
entrenched in the old ways to accept change. She was proud to read that
the principal would stand behind Jordan in case Jordan retaliated by
standing up for herself, it was a tough stance for him to take but he
could see where things would fall and who would be in the wrong.
There was little else to say, the kids were going to start the next day
and would have a new teacher at the start of the year. They would have a
temporary teacher, but that teacher was one who would not let the kids
coast through without working hard. The three would have to endure a lot
of questions but it wasn't a big deal if they kept their focus on each
other and backed one another up.
The kids were walked up to their new classroom where they were introduced
to their new teacher, Peggy Raymond. Valerie had to hide her grin as
Peggy offered the kids a warm "Hello," then was told that they were
joining the class the next day and had been given a crash course in what
the other classes were doing. Peggy nodded, adding, "The girls are still
upset Nichole and Kylie didn't take them too."
Alice held her tongue but Valerie added, "Less is more, they will have
more time with them tomorrow." Peggy just nodded, showed them to where
they would sit, then had them read the school rules. It was a quick few
minutes but they left her to continue while the kids were left anxious
about the next day.
Valerie shook her head and complained, "I need to have a word with my
husband about him keeping her getting the temporary job from me. I know
it was quick but he still could have told me. You, on the other hand, are
not getting away with that- expect some smelly gifts from Antonio soon."
Alice had a shocked expression but Valerie's smile showed it was all in
good fun. Valerie led the kids out and added, "Peggy is the grandmother
of two of the girls you will meet tomorrow. I meant what I said about
'less is more.' Those kids can be a handful at times and you might not
have appreciated so many of them over trying to help you especially Mia
and Nancy, her granddaughters."
Valerie drove them home and had them work on some worksheets and read
until it was time to leave, first dropping them off at the elementary
school complex before leaving to pick up her twins. The three were scared
as to what Ivan and Yvette would say but as they saw the kids they asked
if they were all set for the next day. The kids nodded silently, which
they let go so as to not upset them further.
At home, the kids put their school things away. Their pictures were
hidden with the boys seeing Jordan shedding tears over how they looked in
the pictures. It was painful to her to see their dad happy with three
boys but freaking out over having to raise a girl, the happiness was
conditional and if she was going to receive his love then she had to be a
boy which she couldn't be no matter how hard he tried to make her into a
boy.
After dinner, Ivan and Yvette asked about their day and were told about
the events in both schools. It was funny to them to hear about Valerie
and Alice but painful to hear about their old school. The couple let it
go, but did explain to them, "She chose to not accept changes. You don't
act that way towards kids no matter how long you have been in the job or
how powerful you are within the union. Her rights to a job stops at
violating your rights as a student and human being."
In her bedroom, Yvette asked Jordan how she dealt with the woman for so
long. Jordan shed a tear and told her angrily, "I never wanted to be a
boy but she didn't accept that I wasn't acting that way because I had to.
She only saw me as a freak who should be kicked out of school and I knew
that if I complained I would be expelled. I didn't want the boys to get
upset and do something to hurt her and I didn't want grandma and grandpa
angry at us and make us leave. I dealt with it because I had to, for
them."
Yvette let her settle before explaining, "You have an appointment
tomorrow with Dr. Bell. Edith is going to ask you a lot of personal
questions so please don't get offended by them. She is trying to do her
job and just wants to help you find yourself. It was supposed to be
because of your possibly being a boy inside but you have acted so
feminine since you changed into your new clothes that it might be
possible that you just needed an outlet for it."
It was hard to argue against Yvette so Jordan did the only thing she
could do, she said, "OK mom, I'll go." She gasped in shock and tried to
apologize but Yvette was already crying and hugging her before she could
gasp. Jordan tried to apologize but Yvette kept hugging her, shedding
tears on her shoulder.
When Yvette calmed down, she sniffled and mumbled a sad, "I can't have
kids, and Ivan can't father any so you three are the closest we will have
to having children. I loved being called 'mom', you have no idea how
happy you made me. I would love to be your mother, all three of you need
us."
She left as more tears streamed down her face. Jordan was left to feel
happy but concerned that she might have caused an issue with Yvette and
Ivan. She did love living with the Kings and they were what she had hoped
parents would have been, but she didn't want to break apart the couple.
Ivan understood what happened without Yvette saying, telling her
affectionately, "She needs her mom, you are the best person to show her
how to be the girl she really is. You were a tomboy like her, only you
had a mom who pressed you to be less feminine and work on your sports
skills. Thankfully you chose to forgo professional sports in favor of
being the molder of young minds."
The kids were up early and bundles of nerves as Yvette and Ivan entered.
They ate in silence but it was clear that they were going to struggle to
hold themselves together in class. Peggy was a great teacher but even she
had limits and the kids were going to be rambunctious knowing she was a
substitute.
The kids were dropped off with Ivan leading them inside and nearly
trampled by Nichole, Kylie, and their friends. Kylie had to hide her
smile as she saw Jordan, while Joshua struggled to keep his eyes off of
Nichole. Their friends caught the looks and grinned, Nichole was
oblivious but wouldn't be for long.
The kids led the three inside where they talked for a bit to quell their
nerves. The boys caught on to the group's dynamics right away as they saw
Mia Flynn and Fiona Nelson holding hands while Nancy Flynn and Margaret
Douglas practically sat in their boyfriends Steven Pierce's and Dante
Kelly's laps. Jacob was the only one who didn't have a crush on or dating
someone else, making him feel out of place among the budding romances of
the others.
At their classroom, the trio entered to the happy face of Peggy. She sat
them in their assigned seats and gave them an agreement to follow the
rules that all had to sign. She was adamant that they read every one of
the rules, then explained, "There will be some snide remarks, please
don't hesitate to come to me with them. I won't let bullying happen here,
I may be a substitute but I am a retired teacher and I have seen
firsthand people who are gay, transgender, poor, rich, fat, skinny, ugly,
or beautiful. Your foster parents will gladly tell you about my own
family, not just my granddaughters that you met."
The kids didn't ask what she meant as other kids started to flood into
the classroom as the school bell chimed. They were immediately the center
of attention as Jordan's short hair and small breasts caused a lot of
confusion among them as they couldn?t tell if she was a boy or girl or
transgender. The boys were barely looked at, she was the one who piqued
their interests.
Peggy began class by introducing the trio with Jordan awaiting the
inevitable questions about whether she was a boy or a girl. Peggy didn't
bother to mention it and just went about the day as normal. She called on
the three and got them to show their brightness while letting them learn
learn on their own.
At lunch, the three were stopped and asked about themselves but they
didn't elaborate. The three were asked to join Nichole and Kylie at their
table which only caused their classmates to grow suspicious about Jordan
and the boys. The kids were known to accept weirdos and freaks like
themselves, if they were joining them without so much as a blink they had
to be like them in some way.
Jordan was the easy target as she looked more like a boy than a girl
despite her obvious breasts. There was talk about her being transgender,
another boy transitioning into a girl like Kylie and Nichole. Her short
hair and masculine mannerisms was a telltale sign to them, she had to
have a stuffed bra on too.
The rumor mill ran for a while, but there was trouble before the day was
out as Jordan used the girls bathroom instead of the disabled bathroom
like Kylie had to use before losing her testicles. The girls screamed and
hit her multiple times in the head before throwing her outside, with
other girls yelling about one of the, "Tranny freaks" using their
bathroom. Jordan was in tears while Alice rushed in and had the girls who
hit her taken to the office for discipline.
Jordan was returned to class once she had done her business with Peggy
offering her a soft, "They will get what they deserve" to Jordan. Peggy
didn't dwell on what happened, knowing it would only cause the kids to
argue and fight. She knew there was going to be a nasty shock for the
kids once they learned the truth and faced their own bigotry especially
if Jordan's real story was told alongside the truth.
In her office, Alice read over both the rules as well as the punishments
for assault and bullying of those based on sexuality, gender identity,
and economic issues. She then dropped a bombshell about Jordan: she was a
genetic female and thus the assault on her was both in ignorance and a
huge rules violation. Jordan was innocent and had been attacked simply
because her hair was short, she was not transgender and even if she was
there was no excuse for assaulting her regardless.
The girls tried to claim she had no right to be inside there, but Alice
countered with, "Based on what? She didn't say a word to anyone about
herself all day. She is new to the school, but why she is here is because
she is a resident of this city thus is allowed to attend. She has short
hair, but so what? You don't assault other girls with hair as short as
hers. You are in the wrong and will be facing the penalty."
Alice called their parents then explained why their daughters were
suspended and what would happen after they came back. As they had shown
they were willing to harm another student based on a belief that he or
she is transgender, they would be moved to the alternative school until
they had proven they were no longer a danger to others. The alternative
was expulsion, since their class had been involved in a prior act of
bullying students based on similar circumstances it was a pattern and
needed action.
The kids were led out in disgrace while their parents quelled their
anger. Alice then suggested that it was best for Jordan to tell her story
to her class so they understood that she wasn't a typical girl and that
she was trying her hardest to be normal. It was easier than letting
rumors spread causing her further trouble from people trying to make an
example out of kids who were different.
Jordan was told to do it the next day. It was best to sleep on it and
think about what they were going to say and how they would deal with it.
The kids understood why it was being done, and Jordan would rather that
she face them for the truth than be hurt for what they thought was the
truth.
As school was released, the kids waited with Nichole and Kylie and their
friends. Nichole sat next to the blushing Joshua, letting him suffer as
she tried her hardest to not let on that she liked the attention he was
giving her. Her friends struggled to keep their laughter in check as she
made him squirm, it wasn't like her to do cruel things like that but she
liked the feeling she was giving him.
After a bit, Ivan arrived to take the kids to pick up Yvette. The kids
were reluctant to part but Nichole offered Joshua a kiss on the cheek
making him blush and run off prompting Jacob to have to keep him from
running home. Ivan gave Nichole a glare but she just smiled back at him
showing it wasn't mean and was done because she wanted to kiss him.
Kylie kissed Jordan's cheek prompting her to kiss her back, showing they
were a couple now. To Jordan it was a big step as Kylie was smiling
brightly at the kiss while her friends fought hard to keep quiet about
the girls' kisses. Jordan floated to the car as she was numb to the world
for a bit due to shock.
The boys didn't tease Jordan since Joshua had the same happen to him.
Jacob kept quiet but he did feel a lot of brewing jealousy over his
siblings finding girls to like them. Ivan caught his jealousy and gave
him a sympathetic look, the boy was losing the two to love while he was
left behind on his own.
Yvette met them at her school and drove on to the hospital in Boston that
Dr. Edith Bell worked out of. Edith met them at the reception desk and
had Yvette come in with her while the boys waited with Ivan. She grinned
as Ivan understood why she hadn't asked him to come in as well as she was
not about to let two boys get left unattended, it was asking for trouble
even if they were good boys.
Yvette explained to Edith about Jordan and her issues and how she had
dealt with them so far. Edith made careful notes and observed as Jordan
didn't react, letting Yvette explain while listening herself. It was a
reaction she hadn't expected but it was one that could be a basis for her
recovery as she accepted Yvette's version of events as being truthful
while letting Edith gauge her reaction to the story.
When Yvette was sent off, Jordan was asked to explain how she really
felt. Jordan broke down and told her, "I hate being told by everyone that
I'm weird and I don't belong with 'normal' kids. Our dad never wanted us
and he was stuck with three kids because he cheated on our moms with each
of them. He treated me like a boy because he didn't want to raise a girl
and I made him think about his mistakes. He was too cheap to get a better
apartment, he spent all of his time going out with women and acting like
he was single and didn't have kids. When he came home with women they ran
at the sight of us, especially me. They thought he was dangerous for
letting his son claim to be a girl. They thought that I was a freak and
he needed to go to jail for harming me."
Edith dwelt on that claim, having her explain, "I never hid that I was a
girl. Dad cut my hair short and dressed me in t-shirts, boxers, and jeans
because it was cheaper for him since we are all the same size in boys
clothes. I looked like a boy and when I would go to the bathroom I got
into a lot of trouble for being a boy in the ladies' room. It sucked, but
I got used to it. Dad kept saying I was a boy even when I told him I was
a girl and showed him what I meant. He said he didn't care what I said!?
She was crying now, her words had become angry in tone and conveyed her
desires to be a girl despite all that was being done to her. It was
causing her to see the truth about her life, her father was not a good
father and forced her to do what she didn't want to do for his sake
instead of her own. She hated that he did that, she wanted to be normal
and not have to deal with being a boy anymore.
She sighed and added, "My brothers knew I was a girl because of our
showers. They stopped showering with me when they learned girls didn't
have wieners and balls and it wasn't right anymore. They kept me from
dressing in front of them and treated me like I was one of them until it
was time to change. I didn't mind that, they knew the truth and tried to
help me as much as possible but even they couldn't get dad to stop making
me be a boy."
She started to calm as she talked about her brothers. Edith asked about
how they felt about her being a girl all of the time, getting a blush and
happy, "They love me no matter what. They protect me and try to help me
whenever someone tries to hurt me. Jacob never lets anyone get close who
doesn't want me to be a girl. He and Joshua haven't stopped looking at me
differently since I stopped dressing like a boy."
Edith picked up on that and asked if she regretted them changing their
treatment of her. Jordan was firm in explaining, "They saw my breasts
forming before I did. They told me to cover up and that I need a bra but
I didn't listen. Dad ran off when they told him I needed a bra and
couldn't go out without one anymore. Dad hated that I was going to be a
woman soon, he said he couldn't handle us anymore. He dumped us because
he felt old and we were dragging him down. He ran off without us."
She was angry again but it was for a good reason. Edith let her calm down
then asked, "Are you sure that you want to be a girl? There's a lot of
pressure on girls to be pretty and you will experience guys who don't
want to accept that you don't like them. Some guys, ones like your
father, see it as a challenge to turn you from a lesbian to being
heterosexual."
Jordan sighed but expected this. She shot back a solid, "I am a girl. I
may have a boy's haircut but I am a girl. I want to be a girl. I want to
have babies and marry a girl. I don't want to be a boy. I don't want to
get all gross and ugly. My brothers haven't started to change yet but
Joshua will start to look more like dad soon and Jacob will look like our
grandfather. I don't want to look like that, I want to look like a girl
and even though I'll have gross things happen to me each month: I want to
be a girl."
This was what Edith needed most, acceptance and understanding about who
she really was and why she was how she was. She was adamant that she was
female and knew what was going to happen to her soon. What she needed
most was to admit to herself why she wanted to be a girl, and she had
done that for Edith and herself.
Edith led her out and had a talk with Yvette while the two boys talked
with Jordan. Edith explained what was going on with Jordan and how she
was not transgender like she was led to believe. She was hard on Jordan's
father, complaining about the man abusing her for so long and leading her
down a path that she didn't want to follow and that others sadly didn't
accept as the truth because of their own preconceived notions about her.
Yvette nodded, then added a surprising, "Gender isn't her biggest issue,
she has mother issues. She wants a mother more than anything, she has
latched onto me and even called me mom. She has been looking up to me and
trying to seek my guidance in her quest for girlhood, she is going
overboard with her newfound femininity to try to appease me."
Edith hadn't considered this but it made sense that Jordan would try to
be like the only positive female influence in her life. She asked a
pointed, "Are you feeling like you could be her mother? It will be a lot
of work and you have shown reluctance before otherwise you would have
adopted kids already. She needs a lot of help to keep her from going
overboard, can you be that mother for her?"
Yvette had to quell her anger at that snipe, but did muster up a terse,
"I want what is best for her and if I am to be her influence then I want
to be it. She has touched my heart, she is what I wanted my daughter to
be like. I know she is exaggerating her needs and latching onto the first
positive influence to show her love and affect, but she needs me and I
need her."
Yvette was on the verge of tears, which Edith was forced to quell with a
comforting, "She wants stability for once in her life and you give her
that. You are the first person to show her that she is a person and not
an oddity. The boys have your husband to show them what a man should be
like while you are able to show her what a woman should be like. She is
trying hard to be like you, she hasn't started to dress like you or
imitate your makeup yet, but she will in the future. Just continue to
give her the love and support that she needs and she will give you the
care and comfort that you need."
Edith led her out and explained to Jordan, "I am happy to tell you that
you don't need my services. You are a bright young lady who just needs
parents who treat you right. You are going to endure people who don't
like you but it will be because of jealousy not because you are
different. Good luck, young lady."
The family walked out to the car but stopped as they saw Mia entering.
Mia blushed at seeing them, but Nancy gave them a quick, "Hello" while
Mia went to her appointment with Edith. Nancy explained to the trio, "You
know already that she's transgender like Kylie and Nichole."
The boys didn't believe it but Jordan added, "Nichole told me she was
like her." The boys didn't say a word about it, walking out to the car
while Jordan was left to utter a terse, "Boys" which caused her to blush
as she realized what she had said while Nancy smirked at her little
complaint.
Yvette had to quell any questions from Nancy and Mia's mother, Astrid
Flynn. Astrid gave her a happy look while telling her, "Mom said they did
well despite the girls. They are going to be fine now."
Yvette just nodded and walked on, with Astrid not even trying to say
anything further as Yvette looked to be exhausted mentally. The
appointment had to have taken a lot out of Yvette and Jordan was dealing
with a lot of questions but not a lot of answers. It was a good outcome
ore else Jordan would have had a sad expression on her face and Yvette
would have walked out without stopping.
At home, Yvette was in tears as she hugged Jordan. Jordan hugged her
back, saying a loving "Mom" and happy, "I want you to be our mom. I don't
want to leave. I love you, mom."
The two lay down in their rooms while the boys were left to watch TV and
help Ivan cook. They didn't complain about doing the work, it was clear
that Jordan's appointment was tiring and the two ladies had a lot to
think about. Jordan was clearly looking better than ever and Yvette was
emotionally drained.
Ivan waited until the right moment and asked, "Are you two OK with Yvette
and I adopting you? Jordan has asked for Yvette to be her mom but we
can't adopt her without adopting you and we can't do that if you don't
want this yourself. Would you like us to make you our sons?"
The two said a quick, "Yes, dad." They had expected this for the past two
days, Jordan was getting too close to Yvette to not want her to be her
mother and the boys liked Ivan more than they had their own father. Ivan
hugged both, kissing their cheeks and telling them affectionately, "You
are great sons."
The boys didn't react to the kiss, instead they were crying over Ivan
actually showing affection to them. Their father never showed them that
before, kissing and hugging were, "Unmanly" and to do so in front of him
brought punishment. Crying was even worse, if you cried you were punished
for several days and even the emotional Jordan had to quell her emotions
so as to not get punished for crying.
Ivan gave them a chance to calm themselves and offered a happy, "There's
times when the most manly of men are brought to tears. Any man who says
that's not true has never been hurt by birth, death, illness, injury, and
grief. It's natural and needed. If you can't cry at a love one's wedding
you are a liar or you have a lot of serious issues to work out. Real men
cry, your father wasn't a real man."
The boys didn't question him about that, it was Ivan's way of putting his
mark on their lives. The boys loved the idea of a father who understood
them, especially their sensitivity. Joshua was prone to bouts of
depression and doubt while Jacob suppressed a lot of fear and anxiety, at
times they had to cry themselves to sleep but only did so when alone in
their old bedroom.
Dinner was quiet as the kids had a lot to think about while Yvette and
Ivan gathered everything that they would need to fill out the adoption
applications. Valerie would have the forms ready to sign in the morning,
it was expected of her. Word would have gotten back to her from Astrid
already.
The kids slept through the night with the Joshua relieved to not have
another wet dream after thinking about Nichole again. Jacob held his
tongue about his brother being so careful, it wasn't like the two didn't
know already that the boys had them as they had ensured the boys knew how
to work the laundry and were aware of them expecting them to do their own
laundry, they told them so. He was mostly jealous of Joshua having
someone to like enough to cause a reaction, he wanted the same.
The kids met with the others outside school with Nancy asking what Edith
had said. Jordan couldn't lie to her, she confessed, "I'm a girl, not a
boy. My old dad was wrong to make me into a boy and I found the mom that
I need. Mom is going to adopt us, dad and she are getting the paperwork
from Mrs. Finn."
She didn't mean to tell them that but the eight gasped in shock. Jordan
tried to hide her shame but Kylie hugged her tightly and kissed her cheek
causing her to blush. Nichole told the others, "Mom owes Aunt Valerie
$100, she said they would wait another week before they asked them if
they wanted Aunt Yvette and Uncle Ivan to adopt them."
Nichole hugged and kissed Joshua causing him to blush deeply. Kylie held
Jordan's hand as they came inside the school, officially staking her
claim to Jordan. Nichole did the same to Joshua, giving him the first
female attention that he had ever had and making him love every second of
school.
The two new couples caused a stir as Joshua and Jordan, the newest kids
in school, had gotten two of the top kids in terms of connections and
money to fall for them. Neither knew about the jealousy and back stabbing
that was going on behind the scenes as kids whispered about them. Jacob
had to keep his own feelings in check as he heard the rumors as the
others went in ahead of them, not liking any of what was being said about
either couple.
Class was tense as there were constant whispers about Kylie and Jordan
especially some claiming that the two were only together because Kylie
was hiding being gay and Jordan was posing as a girl. It didn't matter
that the kids were told off the day before, until they saw what was
inside Jordan's panties none of them would believe that she was a girl.
The same went for Kylie, she was deemed to be a boy in drag and had to
pose as a girl to get close to a girl despite having been living as a
girl for three years.
At lunch, Jacob was stopped by a group of boys who demanded to know why
he hung around with two tranny lovers. One accused Joshua of being gay
and another said Jordan was another tranny trying to steal their girls.
Jacob tried to get away but he was held in place by several boys who held
his arms back to prevent him from leaving before he gave them what they
wanted to hear.
Jacob shook his head then blurted out, "So what if Nichole is
transgender, she is all girl. You would know that if you ever bothered to
ask about her, she isn't afraid to tell others that she was harmed by a
few people who hate girls like her. My brother likes her and she likes
him. He isn't gay for liking a girl, just because she was born with what
you have doesn't make her or him gay. Given how you are acting I can see
why you don't know her, she doesn't like to associate with jerks and
idiots and you guys are about the biggest around if you think that about
them. No wonder no girls like you."
He waited for the first blows to fall and clenched his stomach to accept
them. The boys landed a couple of discrete punches then demanded to know
about Jordan. Jacob venomously growled back, "She's a girl. I know damn
well she is because we are brother and sister and I have seen what she
has between her legs. Our dad forced her to act like a boy and made her
dress as one. Those things on her chest are real, not falsies. You
wouldn't know the difference unless you have sisters which I take it you
don't. She is a girl and likes Kylie who likes her back. Kylie is
transgender and a girl, but just because she is doesn't make her a fake
trying to get girls because even if she liked guys she would never date
you."
He accepted more punches but when the second one landed he was let go as
the boys tried to run off. Jacob waited for the teacher or police officer
to yet at him and blame him for causing a commotion but he was only given
a once-over by Alice Porter and told to go visit the nurse to check on
his bruises. Alice had the boys rounded up and taken to her office where
she called their parents to come pick them up after they were arrested
for assaulting a student.
Jacob had multiple bruises but thankfully the blows didn't rupture
anything internally. He had them photographed before returning to class,
facing more whispers as the kids talked around him. He refused to tell
Jordan or Joshua what happened, but both knew it involved them based on
his reaction to them.
Valerie arrived shortly thereafter to speak with the parents about what
happened. She was firm and to the point, their sons were in trouble due
to their actions and words. They chose to detain and assault a student
due to their bigotry and jealousy, he didn't fight back except verbally
and in direct response to their demands that their questions get
answered.
They were shown video of the assault causing them to feel sick as they
grabbed Jacob and pulled him down the corridor to where they thought they
were out of view of others. Their words were recorded and the words that
they said were the kind of words that ruined lives. They could not
believe their little boys had such hate-filled words and viewpoints
especially about people they didn't actually know.
The boys were given expulsions while Valerie held off having them
arrested if they accepted being sent to the alternative school. The boys
had no voice in what was occurring, their parents accepted on their
behalf. It was the only alternative, it was accept the deal or they end
up with criminal records.
Valerie stayed a little longer after the parents and kids left, telling
Alice, "Ms. Putnam is still leaving her mark on the school despite being
fired and exposed. This is her handiwork, you know exactly where they
learned those ideas about sexuality and right and wrong. Those poor
parents were raising them right and she goes in and makes them see things
her way. I suspect that she was trying to get you and Dorothy fired but
that would never have happened. Still, it undermines your credibility
with some."
Alice let out a sigh and confessed, "She was muddying the waters for my
possibly getting appointed as the superintendent when our previous one
was fired. She was no fool, she knew she wouldn't last long and had a
backup plan ready to go to give her a backdoor into another job and
getting revenge on me. She is going to get a job out west or in New York
when she gets out of jail but she could take me down in the process
thanks to the kids."
Valerie grinned and countered with a hearty, "You are experienced, have a
master's degree, you have a strong foundation of support and
understanding with teachers and students, you have a vested interest in
the way things are run while also seeing them implemented. In short, you
are their ideal candidate."
Alice let it go for now. Valerie left before she was noticed by the kids
and endured unwanted questions. She did look in on Peggy and the kids and
saw Jacob struggling with the whispering around him.
After school, the kids waited for Ivan or Yvette to come pick them up.
Nichole and Joshua were almost cuddling while Jordan had Kylie sitting in
her lap. Jacob looked upset but kept to himself, the kids were aware that
he had been involved in something earlier but his looks confirmed it was
about them.
The kids were told that Yvette and Ivan had to do something involving
them and needed to go home with Karen, giving the couple some more time
together but also allowing Ivan and Yvette plenty of time to do their
business in Boston. They were driven home but Karen had to stop off at a
friend's house first. The kids were unsure how to react but Nichole was
smiling brightly and said, "Maisie".
Nichole rang the doorbell and entered when told to. Karen had the trio
stand back a minute until Nichole came back, hoping Maisie didn't react
badly to unwanted visitors. The trio didn't react as they were anxious to
get out of there in case whomever they were seeing didn't like them.
Nichole came out and told Karen she wasn't done yet and to come inside.
The three entered closely behind Karen, not wanting to give Maisie a
chance to react to them as well as protect themselves. Jacob looked over
and saw the most beautiful girl he had ever seen laying on the couch in
her pajamas, with Nichole giving him a crooked smirk as she saw his
reaction to Maisie.
The girls looked at one another then at Jacob with Nichole nodding to
Maisie that he was alright. She then grabbed Joshua's hand and led him to
the couch while Jordan sat on her own. Jacob had no idea what to do and
just stood there, waiting for further instructions as his mind suddenly
went blank.
Maisie got up and introduced herself to Jacob, but Jacob was too tongue
tied to respond. She led him over to the couch and sat him down while she
finished her work. Jordan gave them a big smile as it finally dawned on
her that her big brother had what happened to her and Joshua happen to
him, he had just fallen for a pretty girl that he just met.
Karen and Maisie's mother Lucy Campbell watched the kids closely, with
both fighting a laugh and tears as Maisie and Jacob were awkwardly
introduced to one another. The girl had had a hard life so far whenever
boys were around her, Jacob was the first to meet her who hadn't reacted
to her negatively and who seemed to genuinely see her as what she
presented as. It was almost like she was sensing something in him that
was benevolent and nonthreatening along with his natural good looks that
she clearly appreciated based on her subtle glances towards him.
Karen had to explain to her, "He doesn't know about what happened to her
yet. He will be alright with her when he learns the truth, he is fine
with Kylie, Mia, and Nichole so far. I don't know if it will make the two
less into one another but they do make a cute couple."
When Maisie finished Nichole asked if she was ready to tell them about
herself. Maisie smirked and countered, "Did you plan this or was it spur
of the moment?" Nichole grinned but admitted, "It wasn't planned, Aunt
Yvette and Uncle Ivan are meeting with Aunt Chloe right now. It was just
pure luck."
Maisie nodded, knowing she wouldn't plan this too far ahead. She turned
to the trio and confessed, "I'm like Nichole, I'm transgender. I'm not in
school because I had to have my surgery done early because boys kidnapped
us and beat me badly enough in my privates to make me need genital
surgery. Kylie and Mia had to also have surgery but they aren?t getting
the one I had for months."
Jacob was growing upset, but it wasn't at Maisie. He growled, "What
happened to them? Are they locked away in prison? I hope they die."
He needed to calm down. Maisie hugged him tightly and kissed his cheek.
He calmed down under her affection which caused him to hug her back,
letting her warmth console him.
Maisie knew something happened in school and asked what happened. Jacob
told her about the boys grabbing him and punching him until he told them
what they wanted to hear. He didn't lie to them and made them look bad
which they got angrier at but ran off when Alice came.
Maisie growled, "I know who they are, they are the biggest wannabes in
school. They act like they are God's gift to women but they can't get a
real date unless they paid for it. They hate girls like us because we
make them feel gay even though we hate our penis. They are just jealous
of you guys, you are sweet and treat us like regular girls not like
freaks."
Her choice of words stung but Nichole countered, "She meant it in
general, not that you were a guy too." Jordan nodded and accepted her
quick explanation but it still stung. Maisie shook her head and growled,
"No boy would wear those colors or that kind of bra. If you were a boy
you would force your mom and dad to get you sports bras and compression
vests like Arthur and Diego wear."
Nichole winced at that then told the trio, "You already met Diego, he
didn't have much to say since he was so busy with schoolwork. Arthur is
the new boy coming to stay with my cousin soon, he and Diego were born as
girls. They are cool, just don't get them talking about sports especially
martial arts. Diego is still gloating about getting his orange belt
faster than his brother."
The boys smiled at that while Jordan felt relief that she was understood
by Maisie. Nichole realized she had said something they didn't know and
added, "I think you are going to have to get a dress, unless you want to
wear a suit like the boys. I don't think you would look good in a dress
though."
Jordan nodded, adding, "I'm not ready for them yet. I wouldn't mind
wearing a suit to blend in with the boys. Why would I need a suit or
dress though?"
Maisie answered for Nichole, telling her, "The wedding on Christmas Day.
Everyone is going and we need you and your brothers to be escorts. You
escort Kylie, Joshua escorts Nichole, and Jacob can be my escort. Your
parents are going too so it's impossible to leave you out of it."
Karen heard the exchange and shook her head at the girls knowing their
new friend enough to sense just what she needed and was ready for. She
would look cute in a suit if it was cut right. A skirt might be pushing
things but she was at least open to wearing something feminine to match
the boys.
The gathering broke up with Karen ushering the kids outside. Maisie
kissed Jacob on the cheek then grabbed him into a hug and kissed him on
the lips. He was struggling for breath as he was walked out to the car,
she had grabbed a memory that would last a lifetime for both of them.
At the King home, the kids rushed in to avoid Yvette and Ivan's
questions. Karen offered a hearty, "They really know how to pick their
crushes. That's three for three with falling for another at first sight."
Ivan raised and eyebrow as Yvette gasped in shock. Karen nodded, adding,
"She took his breath away- literally! He heard what happened to her and
was ready to kill the boys, but she calmed him down and had a hard time
containing her feelings for him at his wanting to protect her. She gave
him a kiss that made him almost collapse, Jordan kept him from falling
over and had to put his seat belt on him."
The boys entered to see what the adults were talking about with Jacob
turning around as he saw their smiles. Yvette gave him a hug and kiss
while Ivan left it alone, he didn't need his making things worse. Yvette
held him until he calmed down they offered him a happy, "You did a good
thing for Maisie even if you didn't mean to. She needed a boy to show she
was going to be alright around boys. You two are cute together, but you
did a lot to help her self esteem without knowing you did so."
Karen left with the quiet Nichole. She hadn't said a word knowing that
she would be the focus of the two in response to her own actions toward
Joshua. Karen simply told her, "You are a good friend, you are your
father's daughter at times. You may not know what you want to do in life
after high school but you do have a way with words and know how to make
others feel better."
Yvette and Ivan showed the kids a copy of the adoption paperwork and told
them about what happened that day. The kids listened in awe at the adults
doing things behind their backs but for their benefit. The trio were
seeing just how parents should act and it made them care about Ivan and
Yvette even more.
Earlier in the day, Valerie met with her friends Cameron Byrne-Toro and
Ricardo Vincent about the three kids while filing their adoption
paperwork. Ricardo had the results of the search for their father and
grandparents and it wasn't good. Their grandparents were too poor, old,
and frail to care for three tweens especially ones with issues like
theirs- they only took the kids in due to guilt from their friends.
Their father was worse off than his parents and that was even before the
abandonment charges came into play. The man had gotten himself sent to
jail for soliciting minors after trying to snag dates with young ladies
at a beach in New Jersey. It got worse for him as he successfully bedded
one girl while another declined, telling her parents who told the girl's
parents causing his arrest when he was found in bed with the 15-year-old
girl and she was high on drugs he had slipped to her,
He admitted to knowing where Jordan, Jacob, and Joshua's mothers were but
all three had moved on and their new husbands refused to let them raise
another man's kids and refused to allow their own children to live with
their mothers. They gave up all rights to the girls to the private
investigator while their father would need his stripped away by DCF. The
ladies were not afraid to tell the investigator that the kids were better
off with others and never knowing them, but would be open to meeting them
in the future if the kids were adamant about knowing them.
The kids would take the news hard but it was understandable. The women
had been wronged by their father and seeing them would only bring back
bad memories and ruin their newly balanced lives. It was best to let them
move on with their lives and allow the kids to have a chance at better
memories with their new parents.
At the courthouse, Valerie was met with a smile by the clerks but she
refused the expected meeting with Judge Perez. Valerie handed a note to
the clerk who nodded and came back with a reply of, "About time." She
grinned at it, the kids didn't want or need a speedy adoption and they
had everything going in their favor already but that might not deter
Judge Martha Perez if she wanted to do something.
Valerie talked finances with Cameron and Ricardo and had found nothing of
value that their father had nor their grandparents owned. The kids would
get nothing from their grandparents and their father was looking at a
long prison sentence, wiping out his finances. The kids weren't in
financial trouble as their new parents were on stable financial ground
due to their jobs and small mortgage, they just needed a bigger car which
they were handling already.
Valerie's quick exit made the duo give a happy look to one another as for
once they had helped kids and not have it become a battle over gender,
money, wills, and custody. The three were the first among kids to simply
need a place to stay and loving parents, they were normal kids and were
dealing with normal issues even if one was approached from a different
angle. The kids were also close to their new friends and were bringing
out the maturity in them that was hidden under their youthful facade.
Later, Cameron and Ricardo presented the reports about the kids' father,
mothers, and grandparents to Yvette and Ivan. It was tough to accept but
their mothers were trying to do the right thing for the kids in rejecting
them. Yvette felt horrible about telling the kids, but they would
understand their reasoning.
Over at the DCF office, Yvette talked with Chloe about Jordan's care and
her actions since Chloe had dropped them off with the Kings. Yvette was
happy to explain what happened, why, and how she was going to deal with
it. Chloe could only smile as she listened, Yvette had been doing exactly
as expected and was acting in Jordan's best interests in guiding her
along while supporting her should she have chosen to remain as a boy and
transition fully.
Ivan was asked about the boys and gave a glowing, "They are on the verge
of puberty themselves but it is going to be a long time before they
notice the changes externally. They are men officially, but they are
trying their hardest to not think about what's going on internally. We
have told them that they need to do their own laundry so they are able to
deal what happens to them."
Chloe cringed but nodded in agreement, it was what needed to be done and
it was a strong showing that the boys were mature enough to do their own
laundry especially when cleaning up after themselves. She asked about how
they were treating Jordan, getting a hearty, "They are doing what I
understand boys have done with their sisters since the dawn of time:
treating her like a princess while helping keep her safe. They have had
slip-ups over bad jokes and unintentional stares, but it's to be
expected."
She asked about therapy, getting a quick and happy, "Dr. Bell said that
she doesn't need it at all." Yvette added, "Dr. Bell said she is doing
well and just needed a mother's guidance once she fully accepted that she
wasn?t wrong in her sexuality and gender issues. She's doing well on her
own as is, she just needed to know that she was doing things right. And
she is, she's doing better than I did at her age."
Chloe wrote out her report and recommended that the couple get approved
for adoption. There was no reason to deny it and the kids would be harmed
if it was. Ivan and Yvette were the ideal parents and the way the kids
had taken to them the couple were only finalizing what the kids had
already done in their own minds in just a few short days.
The kids settled into a groove as they slowly became just another trio of
students at the school. They weren't show-offs and they didn't disrupt
class with bad jokes or obnoxious comments like other kids. Peggy found
it hard to keep them from getting lost in the shuffle as they worked to
keep from being too eager to please or too smart for their own good.
They found their niche in simply being average and not trying to excel.
They were not going to be allowed to become complacent as Peggy
personally told them that their new teacher wouldn't let them not give
their best effort. She knew they were holding back because of being new
to the school but she wasn't about to let them sacrifice their education
to look good in front of people who couldn't care less.
She kept talking with them and got the others to get them to start acting
like themselves and get active in class. The kids who dared to make fun
of them found themselves on the wrong side of detention and later,
suspensions. Alice wasn't fooling around when it came to bullying, the
three were great students who would not be allowed to be tormented or
made to feel terrible because they tried to become better.
Three days before Christmas, the kids were taken to get fitted for their
suits for the wedding. Jordan was asked again if she wanted to wear a
dress, and again said she'd wear a suit but would wear a dress if it was
needed as she didn't want to upset either Yvette or the bride's family.
Yvette did manage to get her to consider wearing a skirt suit, a giant
leap for her toward femininity.
At the store, Yvette took Jordan to one area while Ivan took the boys to
another. Yvette showed the skirt that she considered for her to Jordan,
who agreed to wear it provided it didn't show off her legs too much. It
was the opening that she needed, which Yvette used to help her get
dressed and show how she looked in the suit as well as teach her about
skirts and how to wear them right.
Jordan fought back tears while Yvette offered her another, much more
special item; a new wig which matched her hair color but was the same
length as Yvette's shoulder-length hair. Jordan nodded silently and put
the wig on, then stared into the mirror at her new look. She barely
recognized herself, she looked like a younger version of Yvette from her
hair down to the skirt and blouse.
Yvette saw the tears in Jordan's eyes and was about to take the wig off
but Jordan hugged her tightly, crying into her shoulder and saying, "I
look like you, mom. I look like your daughter." Yvette gave in and cried
as well, she had given Yvette what she had always wanted to hear from her
daughter.
Yvette walked Jordan over to where the boys were and had to fight back
tears as the three kept looking at the two standing there. Ivan let out a
soft, "You two are twins" while the boys didn't dare say a word about
Jordan's skirt. They couldn't muster up the strength to admit that their
sister looked more like their sister than she had ever had before and was
like Yvette's biological daughter even if she wasn't blood. They looked
away in shame as they knew that Jordan would struggle with her look once
the high of seeing herself dissipated.
The three kids spent much of the next day getting used to being around so
many other people as Jordan enjoyed the girls' day at the afternoon tea
service and the boys learning football at Fenway Park then some fun with
the younger boys at the Finn home. At the wedding rehearsal dinner they
got to meet everyone and endured a long, hard look from Maisie's father
and brother as well as Nichole's older brothers and sisters. Jordan got
off easiest, she endured Billy climbing on her while she sat with Kylie
as everyone wisely let Billy burn off his energy with the two girls as
his pestering would only help them in the long run as he grew accustomed
to Jordan and enjoyed being her plaything.
The family enjoyed a quiet Christmas morning as the couple gave the trio
their first true Christmas as a family and presents that each loved. They
were continuously shocked as the five received gifts that they had not
thought possible and caused them to cry at the love that was shown to
them from all. Yvette had trouble keeping herself together as the trio
hugged her tightly while Ivan tried hard to keep from crying at the sight
but failed miserably, showing to the boys that even the toughest men can
cry.
The wedding itself was long and boring to the kids but they were moved as
it was also a loving event, with so many interconnected relatives from
the bride's and groom's various family branches. They got to endure a lot
of awkward moments with their significant others as they danced and sat
together with everyone trying hard not to say how cute they looked
together. It was especially tough on Jordan, who saw everyone trying
their hardest to let her enjoy herself but also keeping an eye on her and
Kylie so they didn't overdo themselves.
With school out for a week, the kids were able to go out and enjoy
themselves more. Joshua and Jacob were getting closer to Steven and Dante
as the boys shared a lot in common that went beyond their girlfriends
being close friends. Being foster kids for years before they were adopted
less than a year beforem the two understood the brothers' thinking and
fears as well as their hopes for their family.
Jordan got closer to Fiona Nelson and Maisie, while also spending time
with Mia, Margaret, Nancy, Kylie, and Nichole. She shared more in common
with Fiona and Maisie than she did with the other girls, but none of the
five held it against her as they had been together for years while Fiona,
Maisie, and Jordan were new. It was like what was happening with their
older counterparts, they were friends but even friends have closer
friendships within groups.
Maisie and Jacob spent several afternoons together under the watchful
eyes of Lucy and her husband Callum. The couple mostly talked and watched
TV and worked on their homework during their time together, it was almost
comical how much they tried to avoid getting close while together lest
they upset Lucy and Callum. They had to admit that he was a great boy who
respected the rules and who cared more about Maisie than he needed to,
giving them a bit of freedom that they never abused.
Maisie was able to take walks with Jacob around the block and down the
street to visit other friends but they mostly stayed close to her home
with her parents keeping them out of trouble. The walking was mostly
about getting out of the house because they simply didn't do anything
inside except talk and watch TV, at least outside they could talk with
others and enjoy the company of one another as well as enjoy being given
freedom that neither would allow themselves to abuse. They were careful
and were not ready to push limits with one another, it wasn't worth it in
their eyes.
Jordan fared better as Kylie and she were given opportunities to spend
time with one another as Kylie's parents worked through the vacation due
to having plans for that upcoming summer vacation. It was a fringe
benefit for them, but Ivan and Yvette set ground rules that both had to
adhere to or they wouldn't have their faith anymore. They weren't about
to risk their relationship and agreed in full to the terms, never leaving
the living room together except when Jacob and Joshua were with them or
when one parent was upstairs.
Poor Joshua ended up having to endure Nigel Jr. and Ethan as Nichole and
he spent time at her house. Karen knew her daughter's limits and Joshua
was too frightened to do anything more than wait until Nichole did
something so it was a matter of enduring the Smith boys' teasing. He was
always respectful of the rules and would never do something to Nichole
until she did it first, especially when it came to kissing, and never did
it in front of Ethan or Nigel.
When the kids returned to school, their new teacher talked with each of
the trio individually and got them to see that they needed to be their
own people and not what others wanted them to be. They were top students
when they let themselves be smart, she knew they could do the work
already as she read the notes Peggy left for her. When she showed them
just how well they could do the kids had to fight back tears as she was
trying to be the teacher that they needed and not the teacher they were
stuck with.
They endured a lot of teasing over being smart but all of it was due to
kids seeing that they weren't going to coast by under the new teacher.
The kids who struggled were the worst critics and after a week the trio
tuned them out and let them show their jealousy to the class. The trio
improved and by the end of the month they were three of the best in their
class and on their way to being the best in their grade.
Throughout the month the kids saw the downside of living away from their
friends and saw the couple have to ask Karen and the other parents for
help whenever they were running late or had important meetings that they
couldn't break. Ivan was starting to feel terrible about Karen, Kennedy,
and the other parents pitching in while they weren't able to do the same,
giving Yvette the idea that maybe it was a sign that the family needed to
move closer to their friends.
The couple had to budget their money to put a down payment on a new home
while they put their own house on the market but were told not to bother
by John Finn. They were friends of his, making him do what he always did
for his friends: take care of them. He'd ensure that they had the right
home, and had the right home picked out for them by the end of the month
and ready to move into during February vacation- when they had the most
amount of help and could get the kids away for the day.
The move was swift and saw the kids going on their first dates as
couples, all under the watchful eye of Nichole?s elder siblings and
spouses as well as Maisie?s brother Angus and his new girlfriend. Jordan
blushed as Kylie and Nichole were told ?no putting your hands where you
shouldn?t? while Maisie kept her mouth closed as Angus her a grin that
she knew to be his own subtle warning to not think of doing the same
thing to Jacob. Jacob cringed and tried to move away from her, showing
Angus that he was the right boy for his sister even if he didn?t know
that yet.
Kylie did get frisky with Jordan and masturbated Jordan until she pushed
Kylie?s hand away, causing Kylie to pout but saw Jordan put her head on
Kylie?s shoulder to show that it was alright with her. The same was
attempted by Nichole and saw Joshua turning away in shame while Nichole
felt a tap on her shoulder from her brother letting her know that she got
caught. She mumbled about them killing the fun but it was done for
Joshua?s sake as he wasn?t ready for that stuff yet.
The girls enjoyed their dates and caused their friends to grow jealous,
but it was simply because they had their own problems due to scheduling
conflicts with their siblings. Nichole took her punishment in stride
while Kylie begged to get out of hers, with Jordan trying to help but
only showing why they had to cool off. It was sweet of her to try,
showing why they were so perfect for one another.
There were the usual bigotry issues in school but that was tempered by
the parents learning just who the kids had as parents and who they had
backing them. The fact that Kylie was a ?Finn? through her father and
Jordan had the support of multiple people who had barely known her or
briefly met her had the parents running for cover and begging not to be
banned from the schools. Jordan was left alone, and anyone who went after
any of the six were in for suspensions and expulsions from the school.
Jordan?s hair grew steadily and after two months she could style it into
a feminine style, shocking her brothers after she returned from the
salon. In a show of support, Yvette got the same style and had all of the
family whispering about her and Jordan looking so alike. The two had to
hide tears as nobody knew just how much it meant to them to hear that
they were so similar to one another.
The kids were able to contact their mothers and learned about their lives
and why they gave the trio up. ?Nacho? was dating all three at the same
time as they were sorority sisters and after getting pregnant they had to
leave school, have their babies, then go back or else be cut off by their
parents. ?Nacho? did a good thing for them as he unintentionally set them
up with their future husbands and enabled them to focus on school instead
of dating men and having sex.
It was sad to them, but it was a choice that the needed to make and ended
up letting them find Yvette and Ivan. The three saw why Yvette and Jordan
were so alike: they were related by blood. Yvette was the elder cousin of
Jordan?s mother, both took after Yvette?s grandmother in looks.
Jordan was happy to hear the news and cried as Yvette told her how her
family was split over inheriting their grandparents? money, eventually
drifting apart and losing contact with one another. Jordan ending up in
her care was coincidence, but was fitting as Yvette was a blood relative
and the one who would end up with custody of Jordan by default.
The boys weren?t jealous of her as their maternal families were ?new
money? and severed ties with the boys? distant relatives after gaining
wealth. Their families were backstabbing, conniving, scammers who rose to
the top in their professions by cheating and stealing from others. Their
mothers were the only members of their family to escape those traits and
found love with husbands who were rich and who also chose to stay on the
right side of the law.
They were better off not knowing their mothers? families, but did start
to make inroads with their new siblings as they talked with them during
weekends. Their mothers were happy to get to know Yvette and Ivan and
were proud of the boys, with the boys showing that Yvette was their true
mother. They had a strong insistence that they be called ?aunt? by the
boys so it didn?t offend Yvette, and with Yvette being the same to the
boys? siblings.
The kids had a tear-filled reunion as mother embraced child and
introduced the trio to their mothers? husbands and children. Jordan and
Yvette were the center of attention as the two cousins embraced and had
tears in their eyes as Jordan?s looking so much like Yvette that she was
hard to deny as not being the girl?s mother. Yvette was happy to be
around the children and laughed as they were just like Nigel and Billy in
how they acted and reacted.
The reunion was heartbreaking as the kids? grandparents came by to
admonish the three mothers, but it ended up turning against them as
Yvette was noticed and all complaining stopped. Yvette just grinned as
she told them ?what kind of person can deny their grandchildren the right
to meet siblings and their mothers? They wanted to get to know one
another and be part of their lives even if they can?t be.?
She set her foot down and waited for them to say something. They walked
away humiliated as they had nothing to counter Yvette. She was just like
her grandmother in all ways, which mad her great-aunt upset as she
wouldn?t hesitate to go after someone for attacking her family.
It was the beginning of the end for them as there was no putting the
genie back in the bottle. They had no way of hiding Jordan from the rest
of their family and wouldn?t be able to hide the fact that Joshua and
Jacob were also cousins and related to Yvette hidden for long. The kids
were all cousins through the family secret that they hated to admit:
their mothers were half-sisters through their grandfather.
It stung the family but it was the best possible news as Yvette was their
biological relative and was the only person to come forward to help
despite them knowing where the kids were and what happened to them. It
shattered the family more, the Kings were blood and they had been kept
away for no reason as it wasn?t a shameful offense to have a child out of
wedlock anymore. They kept from their mothers due to image reasons, which
was more shameful than what happened in the first place.
Yvette and the kids were thrilled to reconnect with family and gave
Yvette something that she had not realized that she missed: relatives. It
was fun to her to be an aunt and eventually saw her being just like the
other parents. Jordan and she talked a lot about their change in life and
were both happy to tell the other that it was for the best that they had
been put together as they all got something that they wanted.
