Lucy was a bit disappointed. Even after 20 minutes she didn't feel any
different. No sign of any starting transformation. She began thinking
that it probably was just a scam.
Ellie began to be less worried as nothing happened, so far. She felt
relieved as she didn't have to call 911.
They kept going on with their evening, listening to music and of course
made fun of Ditzy and Linus as well as Amber and Kevin.
Later that night, when Lucy felt the need to go to the bathroom, she
got up and immediately noticed something was off. The pair of jeans she

Lucy examined her body while in the bathroom. She hoped she could find
anything else that might have changed already. But nothing. Yet. It
seems it isn't as uncomfortable as written in the leaflet. But maybe
just till now.
Ellie was curious when Lucy returned, expecting her friend had given
herself a full body examination.
"And? Anything else?"
"No, so far only my height and most probably with it some weight."
"That's so weird. Where is that going to? Just resolving in thin air?"
"I know, right? Plus, it might be needed, I don't really want to end up

Ellie laughed and so did Lucy.
"You know what's going to be weird?" Lucy got suddenly serious and a
pale face.
"What?"
"Facing everyone. I might haven't thought that through and should have
at least told my parents and Kevin and Linus. I plum forgot about that.
Maybe even repressed that thought as the whole thing is awkward
enough."
"You're right. That's going to be strange."
"Shit. Why. Maybe because I never felt like telling anyone anyway. I
mean if it would have been that easy, I wouldn't have dreaded it and
just would have went for it."
"No worries though. I will support you there," Ellie said and hugged
Lucy again.
"Oh, and think of the fun we might going to have with Kevin and Linus,
if they see you, they won't recognize you." She laughed hard at the
thought of the confused faces of both.
"We just need to make sure Ditzy isn't there, it'll be too much for her
poor brain."
"You're right, she won't be able to comprehend anything."
Both continued to laugh and thinking about how they would go about the
outing. Lucy decided that it will be the best for her to tell her
parents directly the next day. As long as the transformation isn't that
far along. She wished she wouldn't have to tell anyone.
Both talked through the night and once dawn arrived Lucy became
nervous.
"Ellie, it's the next day. Would you come home with me? I can tell my
parents right at breakfast. It's probably not how they want to have
their day started, but who knows how I look tonight."
"True, Lucy. It's probably going to be harder to convince them you're
their daughter."
"Especially when they still think that they have a son."
"I'm not envying you about that talk, I really don't. But it has to be
done."
Once the sun had risen, they made their way towards Lucy's house in
order to catch her parents at breakfast. Before they would leave to run
some errands. When both girls arrived, it was still quiet in the house,
but Lucy could hear faint noises from the bathroom. Getting home was
quite a challenge for Lucy. Her clothes were incredibly loose fitting,
and she used a belt to prevent her Jeans from falling down.
They prepared breakfast for Lucy's parents. There was no way Lucy's mom
would have accepted that she would be sitting in the kitchen doing
nothing. If there was anything Lucy needed like a hole in the head,
then it was more tension.
"Are you nervous?" Ellie asked Lucy, who starred holes in the air.
"No, nervous isn't even close. I'm terrified." Lucy's face was as pale
as pale could be.
Ellie just put her arm on Lucy's shoulder to comfort her, she couldn't
think of anything smart to say. Suddenly Lucy's mother came in the
kitchen, Lucy's heart was pounding like a jackhammer.
"Oh, good Morning you two. Drank a bit too much Dennis? You look
horrible."
"Thanks mum, but I'm sober to be honest, but there's something... I
need to... tell you."
Lucy wanted to get up and run out of the room as fast as she could. But
she was sitting there, facing her mother, trying to be calm.
"Okay, what is it?"
"Well, is dad coming too?"
"No, he went fishing yesterday evening already, it's just me right
now."
"Oh... Okay..."
"Anyway, what is it you need to tell me?"
"Mom, I think it's better if you sit down."
Lucy's mum sat down, making a curious and concerned face. She hasn't
failed to notice that something weird is going on. Lucy seemed smaller
to her. And her Hair longer than yesterday.
"Mom... It's not going to be easy to say for me, and probably hard to
comprehend, and please don't be mad at me" Lucy's eyes filling with
tears.
"Mum, I'm transgender and I took a weird pill that turns me into a
girl" Lucy sighed. It was out. The worst part. It's still going to be
uncomfortable, but it's out. What a relieve.
"Excuse me, you did what?" Lucy's mothers face had become just as pale
as Lucy's.
"I... I took a pill. I want to be a girl. I always wanted to. Actually,
I was and am. I just couldn't bring myself to say it. Just recently I
came out to Ellie and then we found that shop in the internet and
bought that pill."
"Wait a sec, you tell me you ordered a pill from the internet and took
it? Are you out of your mind? What if it was poison?"
"Mom! I know. I was concerned too, but I had to try it. And so far, it
seems to be working."
Lucy got up, showing her mum that she lost a few inches in height.
"I can see that." Her mother wasn't sure if she should be mad, worried,
or impressed.
"I was with her the whole night; I kept an eye on her and was ready to
call 911."
"Thank you, I guess. But this pill aside, so you felt like a girl all
your life? And you never said anything?"
"I wouldn't say I never said anything, I gave you a few subtle hints."
"They were probably way to subtle then. I'm sorry, but I haven't
noticed it."
She hugged Lucy. Lucy felt a little bit better now. But she was still
terrified.
"And that pill, what is it doing?"
"It claims it transforms me into a girl over the course of three days.
I took it yesterday evening, so the transformation should be done by
Monday, maybe Monday evening."
"You know that it sounds ridiculous right?"
Yes mum, I know, and to be honest I wouldn't have thought that it works
either. But now. I mean look at me!" Lucy's voice started cracking a
bit and made Ellie chuckle.
"What's so funny?" Lucy asked her.
"Nothing, but your voice just cracked, it's like you taking puberty
backwards and go back to a weird teenager voice."
That broke the tension and made Lucy's mum chuckle too.
"Hey!" Lucy complained.
"Don't worry honey, if it really takes three days only, it won't be too
bad. But back to you, young lady, have you thought of a name?"
"Yes." Lucy started smiling. "It's Lucy."
"Lucy? Like short for Lucinda? Like your great grandmother?"
"Yeah, kind of. I asked you once. But that name feels like it belongs
to a over hundred-year-old. So, I only go with Lucy."
"It's cute. Come here honey, let me give you a hug."
That hug felt wonderful. Lucy was so relieved.
"Mum? What about Dad? Can you tell him? I'm not sure if I can face him
and go through this nerve wrecking shit again."
"Well, he should hear from you. But I can give him a heads up and
prepare him."
"thanks mum" Lucy chirped when she gave her mother a kiss on the cheek.
Lucy and Ellie went to Lucy's room afterwards. And Lucy was curious if
something else has changed since that talk.
"That wasn't as bad as I thought" Lucy said once they were upstairs. "I
thought my mum will give me shit about the pill. And honestly, it would
have been her right to do so. I would have given me shit in her place."
"She wants you to be happy. But I agree, it was really stupid to take a
strange pill bought off the internet."
"True, it was. But I have to admit that I'm not regretting it. It seems
that it works."
"Yeah, weirdly. Do you have anything to wear by the way?"
"Oh shit. No. I mean I bought some female clothes which I wore
secretly, but they probably won't fit anymore.
"Probably? Look at you! Your whole body is different already. You're
much shorter and thinner, no way anything you bought will ever fit you
again, unless you eat a lot."
"Yeah, you right about that. But I can't buy anything yet. I don't know
how much smaller I get. I mean what if I end up at 5'1."
"I don't think you will. You were what 5'11"? I think you won't be
shorter than 5'6", maybe 5'5" at the shortest.
"You think so?"
"Yes. Besides as we already discussed during the night, that body mass
needs to go somewhere, so I'm pretty sure you don't have to worry
ending up a midget."
Lucy started yawning, it was 10am buy now and she felt sleep deprived.
"You're tired, Ellie?"
"Yes, I am. I could pass out right here on spot."
"The I think it's best to get some sleep. You want to bunk with me, or
do you want to go home?"
The hell I'm going home. Who's looking after you. You can bet your
sweet ass I'm bunking with you."
They awoke in the neighborhood of 2 PM, still groggy and far away from
being refreshed. And the transformation probably took its toll on
Lucy's strength as well.
"Gosh, I need coffee. Desperately" she moaned; one eye still closed.
But that opened to when Ellie started snickering. "What?"
"Your voice, it's sounds like nothing you sounded before. You sound
like a child again."
"Why thank you. I'm happy you're having fun at my expense." Lucy
snapped.
"Lucy, come on, don't be bitchy, I don't want to make fun of you, it
just sounds funny."
Lucy just rolled her eyes, but she was happy, that means the
transformation works. And as she was almost a third in, she had to
check herself out.
"I'm in the bathroom, examining myself" she nonchalantly said and got
up.
In front of the mirror she was amazed. She realized how much smaller
she had become, everything seemed bigger. 'That's something to get used
to' she thought
When she started checking herself, she found her chest started puffing
and became tender and extremely sensitive to her touch.
"wow" escaped her lips. Her hair was longer as well. But apart from
that she couldn't find any other changes.
She returned to her room.
"When do you want to tell Kevin and Linus?" Ellie inquired.
"Don't know. They need to have time for us. And the way they acted
lately it won't be before the end of this transformation."
"That's right, but maybe we can find a date or so?"
"Yeah, you're right. Let me text them. Let's say next Saturday?"
"Sounds good to me."
Lucy took her phone and texted in their group on WhatsApp, telling them
about something important she had to tell them in person.
They spent the afternoon lounging in Lucy's room, having lots of
coffee.
Lucy's Mother came in the late afternoon and came right to her room to
check on her.
"How are you honey?"
"I'm okay. Tired. But apart from that I feel good. No need to worry."
"Well, still, I make an appointment with our GP first thing Monday
morning and get you checked up.
"Mom! That's going to be awkward!"
"Yes. Yes, it probably will. However, I want to be sure you're healthy
and everything is absolutely okay. And you should too. Because I'm
still not convinced that pill did you a good deed. At least not
entirely."
"Okay. You're right mum" Lucy had to agree that the whole pill thing
was kind of fishy.
"And so, you know, I talked to your dad, he knows part of your story,
but you need to explain him everything tomorrow when he comes back from
his fishing trip."
That made Lucy's heart skip a beat. 'Shit'
"Oh, and I went shopping for you, so you don't have to walk around in
those oversized clothes."
Her mother got of the room and brought in a shopping bag.
"Have a look, hope you like it. It's not much, but it'll get you
through the weekend."
"Thank you, mum." Lucy got up and kissed her on the cheek.
"You might shrink out of them though" she snickered. Lucy pretended she
hasn't heard the last comment and looked in the bag.
There was a pair of jeans, a few t shirts, a sweatshirt and a nighty.
And they all looked cute. Lucy was happy.
"Thank you, mum, thank you so much."
"You're welcome honey."
"Oh, Ellie, do you want to have dinner with us? Are you staying the
night?"
"Yeah, thanks, would love to. And yeah, I want to keep having an eye on
Lucy."
Once Lucy's mum left, Lucy made a serious face and looked at Ellie,
"What do you think my dad knows? I'm scared to be honest."
"Well, but it is how it is. There's no way around, you've taken the
pill and most obviously went through some changes. And, tomorrow is far
away from now, the transformation will have a lot more progressed until
then. You might be even out of that weird stage. And about your dad,
your mom is awesome. So supportive. I'm sure she'll have your back.
"Yeah, you're right" Lucy was far from being convinced. She feared her
dad. As she never fit in any of the gender roles, she thought her
father might be disappointed in her as she never acted as the boy her
dad wished to have. And she was afraid that her dad would be really mad
at her.
"... Earth to Lucy?" Ellie gave Lucy a light punch on the shoulder.
"Huh?"
"Where have you been? I asked if you want to try on your clothes,
because, I think it's overdue to put on something fitting. And
something more suitable."
"Oh... Sorry. I was kinda lost in thought."
"You don't say. So? Clothes? I want to see them."
"Yes, okay. Give me a sec."
Lucy took the clothes and to the bathroom, also to examine herself once
more. She could have sworn that her breast grew a bit more. And her
hair, how couldn't she notice that it was already at chin length. But
apart from that, she couldn't find anything. Her groin was still the
same, nothing there. She had hoped for some shrinkage there too, but
no, nothing. Yet.
She put on the jeans, they seemed to fit. After that, she threw one of
the t shirts on.
"Oh my, looks so much better than the oversized stuff."
"Yes. Nothing special yet. But I feel like myself."
"You do? How do you feel generally? I mean with the transformation.
Does it take a toll on you?
"Well, I'm super tired. But given the we haven't slept that much last
night; it might be that as well. Hard to tell. But apart from that I
feel good. Look at my longer hair" She smiled and rode her hands
proudly through the strands of her hair.
"I can see that, and it looks beautiful."
"Thanks. I also checked for some other changes, but it seems that it
had stalled for now. I don't know if I should be worried."
"I don't think so. I mean you're roughly 20 hours in, leaves us still a
good 50 to 55 hours until it's supposed to be finished. So, I don't
think it stalled. And maybe it needs the person to be asleep."
"Yeah, probably. We haven't slept much, that would explain a lot. I
will make an early night tonight anyway, so, maybe tomorrow, I'm much
further along."
"Maybe? I'm pretty sure it will be like that, who knows, you might not
even recognize yourself when looking in the mirror. Which is, to be
honest, a really weird thought."
"Yes, it probably would be. But I'm willing to take the risk. Well, I
already took it, as there is no way to undo the pill now."
"Would you want to undo it?"
"No! Absolutely not. Yes, it's a weird stage right now, and I will be
in for a few more awkward and probably unpleasant moments. But I'm not
regretting my choice."
They kept talking and Lucy showed Ellie some more of her new t-shirts
when Lucy's mother called that dinner is ready.
The wonderful smell of lasagna guided both girls downstairs.
"Hope you two are hungry? Lucy, can you get the plates and some
cutlery?"
"Yes mum."
After getting the table ready Lucy's mum brought in the lasagna and
they sat down and ate.
Lucy didn't know how hungry she was until she started eating. 'Maybe
the transformations toll' she thought.
Lucy's mom looked at her changing daughter, impressed on one hand, but
also quite worried on the other hand.
"Your hair Lucy, it looks amazing. I didn't know hair can grow so much
in such a short time."
"Me neither, mom."
"You might want to visit a hair salon soon, if it just grows now it
will look weird. I fact, if it grows at that rate you might wake up
with a mullet tomorrow" She snickered at that thought.
Lucy just rolled her eyes.
After dinner they sat together in the living room. Lucy's mother tried
to find out more about that pill, but Lucy wasn't willing to provide
much information. Lucy was feared that her mom will get to that shop
and get the counter pill. She knew she had to find a way that this will
never happen. She just can't go back to her old life as Dennis. A name
which seemed always distant to her. But now, she felt like she's never
been further away from being Dennis.
"Lucy, are you with us? You are starring up on the ceiling again."
"Oh, yes, I'm here. Sorry."
"How about your legal stuff? Your Driving License? Bank card? Have you
thought about that?" Her mum brought her back into reality. Actually,
it felt like crashing hard back into reality to Lucy.
"Uhm... no. Crap. You're right."
"You just have to go the regular transgender route Lucy" Ellie offered.
"You're, right, that's probably the best thing to do. Actually, it's
the only option I can think of."
Lucy's mom was happy that Ellie was there. She was thinking with Lucy.
And even more important, she seemed to think the rational thoughts that
Lucy was lacking. At least at that moment. But she felt, that her
daughter was doing the right thing. And even as she was super tired and
acting a bit under the changing hormones, she could feel that her
daughter already seemed much happier.
After Dinner they were sitting in the living room and having some ice
cream and trying to figure some things out which had to follow Lucy's
transformation. Ellie and Lucy's mom talked most so it took them a
moment to realize, that Lucy fell asleep on the sofa.
That was the sign for Lucy's mom to interrogate Ellie about what she
knew about that pill.
